German Doner Kebab in Croydon

We had a very bad experience as the manager was very rude and abrupt as we did not get the meal that was on the menu. when questioned the staff member was very rude and raised her voice and did not make any effort to rectify the issue. we was only informed after that the machine was broken after ordering so we was provided with the wrong meal when she was fully aware before ordering. we was not informed before ordering. would not recommend and will never go again as we used to be a regular customer.

After waiting 2 hours for an order that had from "driver is waiting" back to "order is being prepared" 3 times. I called the restaurant to be told they had cancelled my order. Very poor service.

We ordered kebab it take ages to deliver 0.7 miles distance. And when I got food was cold like ice nd there salad missing nd I add extras pickles they charge for that but didn’t add there . So disappointed with everything. It’s better dine in if you like g d Kabab other is waste of money ..

Just ordered from Uber and received last Rubbish!!! No meat on it!!! No salad on it.boxes half fries and 20 gr meat on top Even one of box didn’t have paper under the Rubbish Surprised when try to return money back Not eligible for return!!! Rubbish never ordering and visiting this place

Wembley's Best Kebab Good customer service, it's worth proving.

Been to other GDKs before, so can safely say they underfilled the box, although I didn't even get to eat it because I watched the worker grab my chips using his hands and throwing them in with a rude attitude. I work for the NHS and it appears that me using the blue light discount they offer annoyed him. Absolutely disgusting. When I complained about this since I watched the entire process happen I was told they don't know anything and refused to look at the CCTV which would show the gross attitude. Shame because the worker at the till was actually friendly, but will never return as they were willing to potentially give me food poisoning by handling my food with his bare hands, all apparently because I work for the NHS. Would avoid at all costs.

The shop is right next to the George Street Tram stop. The food was good however you have to use the self service kisok to order - no option to order in person

we ordered kebabs. upon delivery, one kebab was missing, the sauces were supposed to be mild but were spicy. after calling the service and waiting for an hour, they hung up and after dialing a second time, they rejected the call immediately. the manager was very unpleasant.

The staff in the branch are amazing so attentive to my questions and needs. Manager was very thorough in the service she gave me her name was robin. Very helpful and welcoming and the speed of service amazed me. The kebab was so tasty too. Deffo come back again!

Your kebab is good, but what if the delivery takes a long time and I have to reheat it in the microwave? Overall, I don't recommend it.

NOT OPEN UNTIL 1AM. I arrived here at 0030 pm on 25 Jan. Google maps said they're open until 0100... Staff said they don't stay open that late.

Closing time inaccurate. Came here at 0030. Google maps said it was open until 0100... Staff said it was shut. Don't come here if you're looking for a late meal because Google can't be trusted. I think it shuts at 2300.

DON'T COME HERE LATE AT NIGHT! Turned up with some friends. Google maps said it was open. Staff said its only open online and its shut at 11pm. If you're trying to come here at night / evening then don't bother.

I’ve never seen rude worker peoples like this restaurant has, it’s totally disgusting and rude…I’m a delivery driver they’ve been very rude for consecutive time I could say always and today I was waiting an order to pick, I almost waited like 10 min and the order was ready and then when I asked her (short unkind girl) she refused and she said “YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT “ That’s very DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE I’m working my job but when the communication becomes like this that’s MAD as well SAD for the restaurant! The 2 girls don’t deserved to be there or teach them how to communicate mostly the 1 very short girl. That’s MAD

These people treat delivery riders in worst manner and even asks riders to wait outside in colder days. Inhuman behaviour. These people have mouth to say go out and stand. If this place doesn't accept riders to come inside. Sameway they should not sell using that delivery companies. Shame on these people

I love the look of the shop. it grabs my attention every time. the prices are good for the food you get and I'd most likely come back for more.

Absolutely disgusting service provided by the abhorrent lady in the picture. Ordered a mix doner wrap and I’ve 50% lamb 45% salad & 5% chicken tiny pieces. Upon complaining the lady couldn’t care less and told me there’s chicken means there’s chicken regarding whether it was proportionate size or not.

GDK in Croydon is simply awful. they save a lot, and put even less and less each time. It seems to me that a half-empty box is not the OK. in other areas there are no complaints, it is very tasty and the filling is normal. but I don't recommend this one in Croydon, you pay the same price as everywhere else, and you get half of what it should be. and also on a permanent basis forget to put sauces, which are paid for.

Why is big lady still working there? If you ain't got a problem, she'll make one for you. Her rude attitude and lack of care for customer health were appalling. This "manager" makes the atmosphere in the kitchen and at the tills very awkward and disturbing, every single time I go in to eat. She always has a bad day and takes it out on everyone...must be a nightmare to work with.. SOOO many complaints and no one cares about it...at this point you're just promoting and rewarding her for being bad..

I received the worst service from a 'manager' working on the 30/11/2023 an 15:30 time of the order I placed at the Croydon store via deliveroo.I called to ask for all the sauces in my boss box to be the same. She immediately jumped down my throat telling me it was already sent. (Which is kind of worrying because I ordered the food on the Deliveroo app no less than 5 mins before calling. How was it ready packaged and in the driver's hand that fast ???) I asked for her name and she became extremely aggressive and combative and hung up the phone. I called multiple times and someone eventually answered the phone another staff member answered with an even worse attitude and told me the manager who was now a male was to busy to come to the phone. I asked for the complaints procedure to which she replied "Just tell me". I'm sorry your staff have 0 sense or professionalism I know it's not the type of job that requires too much common sense but customer service should always be at the forefront when your in a customer facing role. Sack the lot of them and start again.

Food is tasty, service is decent, daytime manager is good, polite and very helpful. Only real downside is it's a little small to eat inside. They have one big AC unit which pretty much covers the eating area, so it can get a little too cold. Wash room is clean and very warm 😁

Food was ok but my experience not so good. Paid by credit card but the machine went down mid payment. Had to show my bank statement that it had gone through but still wasn't believed then they had to call a manager which made me feel humiliated in the middle of the restaurant. Literally showed them my bank statement and they wouldnt believe me. Food good, experience bad 🤷‍♂️

The food was really nice, the salad was still fresh considering the time I went there, as far as the food was concerned, I have no complaints; The attitude of the people working in there though, mainly the lady on the till and and the "security guard" lol, I dont know where to start, so I won't.

Duleha very lazy and rude staff she needs to be trained as I told what not to put as someone is allergic which she didn’t of course input in system or take it as serious matter which could lead something worse with the person I’m with needs a big improvement in this branch

We kindly asked the manager - Sandra I believe although the receipt shows user Robyn to add some meat to the box as we had ordered extra mix and the box was half empty. Her response was very rude and she told us that the box was more than the amount usually given. I told her that I had been in many GDK including this one and the box had always had more bearing in mind the price also. She didn’t want to listen and just kept speaking over us even when I reminded her that she had been there the last time we visited and it was indeed her who told staff RUDELY to add more meat without any request. She didn’t want to answer that question. Based on all of the other comments I have read is this a person who is doing your business any good ? I doubt it- please don’t loose your money going there!

Just got my food ! Beef meat in my kebab is old … burned silty and oily . Can’t even eat that . Lost my £36

We order twice a month from this place. The only thing that’s disappointing is the amount of Oil in the food, especially jalapeño poppers, one popper = 1 tissue full of oil, check the picture.

The lovely Rima welcomed me with such warmth. I came in for a take away and was served so well

The food is just fine. The meat is either raw like pink or over cooked. Staff at front is nice except the tall white lady she is very rude. Also the toilet light turns off in 5 seconds when you step in. The dryer is placed too low that you can't dry your hands after washing them. It's not worth for money.

Seriously,do not bother. Ordered online and received confirmation that order would be ready to pick up in 16 mins. Not a complicated order, 4 items only. Anyway an hour later and order was still not ready. Probably 4 or 5 people in the kitchen so I am not really sure what the problem is. It happened last week as well. Avoid at all costs

I have been into the restaurant several times in the past, and paid cash and card but today there are staff on the till refusing to take payment instead telling you to go to the automated ordering machine It was very quiet in the shop and the staff refused to help. Instead took my service to the Turkish Messi a few doors up.

Went on my break from college with my friends and the service was speedy and food so hot and fresh. The English manager there was lovely in helping us with our order and was very friendly.

Very polite staff member, easy to order and the meal was very nice indeed. Have visited other GDK branches before across London and have to say this was up there near the top.

I went to GDK the other day, Shannon was my server, she was very polite, got my order correct and was very efficient, 5 stars all round! Will definitely be going again soon, fingers crossed Shannon is my server!

Had a quick lunch date with my partner thought we give Gdk a go not our normal but 2023 the year for trying new places. And it did not disappoint deffo go again!

I had a burger with extra burger sauce. It was so nice and I really enjoyed it. And staff was so friend. I would like to go again.

Firstly the music selection playing was sick such a vibe in itself. It may be a small restaurant but it’s quirky. Not to busy 5 min wait for my order but that’s fine so hot and juicy and the cheese sauce was amazballs

Went to German doner to try out the 2for1. And pleasantly surprised the range on offer. Tried the coco and the wrap as been wondering about coco for a while and the bread is such a nice change not to much not to little. Served...

Unfortunately the most unpleasant experience I had on a branch which I always visit. The lady over the counter took the wrong order which I had noticed after paying. I went to explain this to her in a polite manner. She was rude and even mumbled ‘F’ word too. I told her that she doesn’t need to be upset and rude towards the customers. Another worker told me that she is new and did not apologise. I am sorry to say but I won’t be seeing you again.

Good customer service and clean environment

This place used to be so good but now it's an absolute awful place So I have order two boss box meals a box meal now while waiting for the food the girl who is dealing with customer and handing them food and putting in box has been given my box meal and the kebabs for my boss box meal on no less then 3 occasion she is calling the girl who is on fries asking for the fries and spring rolls for my order this must have taking a good 3 mins before she brought it. The girl then had to send it back cos the way she flung it down the chips fell out so another 2 mins before she brings the chips again cos she too busy chatting to her friend in the back. Now I asked for no tomato on both kebabs for only one to have no tomatoes so had to pick out the tomatoes paid to have extra meat in one they was both the same size I couldn't be bothered to go all the way back to the shop so just kept it The food was at best just about warm I live 2 mins from the shop and drove and got it myself so would have taking me no more then 5 mins to get home. I took a pic of the chips just because I can't believe a business can sell chips that look this bad to anyone The standards have dropped since they first open and they need to pick up again soon very disappointed

Would have scored 0 stars, used the self serve machine for a mix kebab and was wondering why I was waiting around while everyone else was being served after my order was made. Turns out they had run out of chicken after I asked what the hold up was, and was offered "why dont you take the beef today and try the chicken next time". 1-Didnt bother to let me know and kept me waiting 2-Lack of an apology 3-You only sell Beef and Chicken....what the heck

Best to have the meal sitting down as they give more fries and meat. The food is less greasy than other GDK stores such as bromley. They always give extra free sauce when i ask, polite staff and amazing service. bad side is portions and used to be better

Avoid at all costs. I came in after a couple of drinks and they tried to sell me practiculary an empty box for £7.50. Once I exchanged the kebab there was no chilly sauce like I asked it was just bland The customer service is not there at all. This is the 4th time this branch has done this to me and they got away with it those times as I checked the kebab once I was out of the area. I will be reporting this branch to trading standards If you want a german donor kebab then go to stratford as they actually know what they are doing. IF YOU WANT TO IGNORE MY E-MAIL MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE, as you may get a rude awaking when you get home.
