The chips where nowhere near cooked and my fish cake was braking up and went all mushy

Restaurant was busy but when called was told it’s on the way, to be then told they’re waiting for a delivery driver. So i left out to come and get it only to find out it was on the way

Good but didn't get my free garlic bread

just sensational food every time and very generous.

The food is always hot and delicious! Tonight did not disappoint…thank you for great service! We had a great family feast x

Terrible value for money. Small fish, old chips and chicken, fish cake OK, very small portions. Can just about feed a family of 4 for £20, but it’s was by no means a treat. Never going back again

This is my top chip shop spot when I am going on vacation coming from the United States of America to visit family relatives in England to eat delicious 🤤 fish & chips. Not to also mention the side food dishes including the green mushy peas and curry sauce. Great customer service with positive energy and good 👍 attitude.

This is a fish and chips takeaway and i was very disappointed with their fish. I ordered small fish and chips with mushy peas. Their fish was very disappointing it had a very unusual taste to it. I feel as though either the cod had gone bad or the oil it was fried in was very old. I have ordered here before and it has been really great but this time not so great.

Absolutely shocking !! Over an hour late for delivery and whilst I understand it’s Friday and all that at least have a true delivery time ! By the time our food turned up it was cold and in all fairness what could have been an enjoyable meal was a cold soggy one not good not good at all especially when the cost of the delivery and service charge we could have ordered an uber ourselves and had it delivered direct to the door and it would still be hot food !!

THERE WAS A MIX UP ON THE ADDRESS IN JUST EAT BUT AS ALWAYS THE FOOD IS LOVELY

Food is great quality as always. An item was missing from our order (certainly not a regular occurance) and they quickly made & delivered it. Excellent customer service for a busy time for these guys, I’m sure. Thank you

Food was OK. Chips could of done with a little longer. Chicken a little less (dry) pizza was nice. Expensive for what it is. Nothing to shout about. Wouldn't go out of my way to recommend to a friend, simply because basic and far too expensive

The big young guy who works there is sly, tell him you want things done a certain way he does the opposite and he thinks you won’t realise.

Just got food from this chippy. Doner meat is disgusting. Tastes cheap and horrible. Ended up in the bin. My cat wouldn't even eat this. Foods gone downhill. Never again!

Ordered food this evening. Was really looking forward to it and was extremely disappointed. We ended up binning the food and saving the chicken for the neighbours cat. The kebab meat was inedible and greasy. That went straight in the bin. The chips were so undercooked that they stuck together. Definitely won't be back.

This used to be the best chippy this side of Nottingham. It is probably the worst now. Absolutely disgusting food with no care, no passion and no pride in terms of presentation or quality. Our order tonight went in the bin. We will not be back. Years of loyalty lost. Have some pride in the food you are putting out or get out of the food game altogether. You have rested on your laurels and clearly lost your way.

I ordered food and I received notification I will receive my food in 45 minutes After 45 minutes when I rang to the shop some guy answered the call and when I asked him how long is my food then he said you should wait 1 hour for the food and the he add more 15 minutes in my order and then I asked him how long it take from now the he said when the driver comes then I will send it to you I don’t no how long it I’ll taks it was my first and last order from here . Thank guys

Highly recommend, rapidly becoming our go to takeaway for weekends. Pizzas are really good and they aren't shy with portion sizes.

You must have cash with you. In 2024 you can't pay by card there. They send you to the ATM next door which charges 95p to withdraw money....

Normally very quick service but today was a bit of a joke

Amazing as always, today had been a mental day, I'd been so busy and time just went stupidly fast and it was great to have such lovely food delivered. Georgios chips are just the best chips in Nottingham by far.

The fish batter was so hard it was impossible to cut. I had to eat only the fish as I did not want to damage my teeth. Very disappointing for the money spent on our order.

Ordered today at 1:15 food didn’t arrive till 3:20 we ordered £35 worth of food and was missing a fish cake, rang up to let them know and was spoken to by someone who claims to be a manager. The attitude towards me was absolutely disgusting when i mention they had missed a fish cake off i was told id have to wait for him to get in contact with someone and check the cctv? which i found outrageous how do you miss off someone’s food and then make them out to be a liar? after going back and forth with me he said he would send out a fish cake but i had to go online to order some chips as he couldn’t take it over the phone? then he rang back and said actually he could take my order of the phone and then proceeded to give me some back hand apology when realised he was at fault?! I’ve ordered from this chip shop for years now and can honestly say i will never order again! Chips were rock hard absolutely disgusting food! only positive thing i can say is the delivery driver was very friendly ☺️

They rip you off by £7 for delivery and it wasn’t even that far. The kid who delivers attitude absolutely stinks.. the food is cold and rubbish.. it went in the bin. I would avoid at all cost.. save your money.. I would ask for a refund but they can keep it I just would never in my life order from there again

Fish and Chips . Not great at all . Poor Fish not nice white flakes of Cod . Just a load of batter around grey looking piece of dry fish. Chips some nice a few undercooked . Not good at all. Worth a short drive to get better .

Took 80 mins for delivery, lukewarm at best, pizza bases wrong way around and overall value terrible, £40 for 2 substandard pizzas

The food was over 45 minutes late. The order was placed with about 2 hours notice. The restaraunt gave zero communication on the order's delay. I rang to find out what happened and the guy on the phone wouldn't really help and got very irate. we've been going there for years and years and it's a shame that we've had such a poor experience. Maybe they should stop using Just Eat for deliveries as they were able to cancel my order their end the other day through another platform. Either Just Eat are the bad apples in this scenario or Georgio's are lying. Really disappointed and a bit miffed.

The owner of the take away like too take people lives as a joke he never take respect to consideration and if you ask for more hours he will try segway his way out or call the police if you looking for a decent job U turn on this you will thanks this review later anyone thats is against those comments would highly likely would been paid to do so as he likes to bend the truth also.

Brought food for 5 people at our place and ordered chicken burger meal and on the salad ticked for cabbage lettuce tomatoes and onion with mayo and we got that plus cucumber. I had to throw the buger into the bin because the person who was going to eat it was allergic to cucumber and the pie was very cold inside if tho it had been frozen and cooked via a microwave The chips where white just looked like they were dipped in then out. But what the main complaint is that if you have increased your price's but you must up date your standards and your keep, otherwise 2024 maybe a dismal year for you, just look into what is happening to this country.

Food arrived at 20.47 ordered at 19.45 and was cold will not be ordering from this place again if I could have left no stars I would

usually you can't fault the quality but the burger and chips were almost cold when it arrived (I know its cold outside but felt it could of been hotter), the fish was lovely and i can't fault it. overall it missed something, which is a shame.

Way too expensive when oakdale chippy is better quality and cheaper

Driven here on two occasions from West Bridgford, both times Google has shown the place to be open, both times it's closed.

I ordered 2 x cod and large chips etc. the batter on the fish was too hard which was really hard to eat so had to try and dissect the batter away from the fish but couldn’t do that properly as the fish underneath was dry and hard and stuck to the batter. Both fish was the same and we couldn’t eat them and was wasted and put in the bin. Very disappointed as the chips was nice but won’t be ordering again.

Have been ordering from here for years and never had a problem so thought when I'd call with my issue they'd listen and try to understand but nope! Ordered a chicken breast....instead I got half a deep fried chicken. I hate chicken on the bone or with skin on which is why I ordered a chicken breast. When I spoke the manager - his response was "well that's what we've been selling for years" - well I have never ordered this before. His response was "so you wanted a chicken fillet?" - no I wanted a chicken breast...like when you have a chicken breast from ANYWHERE I have EVER ordered chicken breast with a meal...it's come as the chicken breast meat ONLY! No bones....no skin....no wings....JUST the chicken breast - UNLESS it's stated chicken breast with skin on which I've seen once elsewhere and never ordered. And I'm pretty certain chicken fillets are smaller cut strips than chicken breast. I might bring a picky person in some people's eyes but I highly doubt I'm the first or only person that would expect what I did. And on top of it, the chips were so undercooked and soggy which my partner pointed out (I agreed but was worried I was just being negative when I thought it based off my annoyance over the chicken) and not to the usual standard. And after reading other reviews, I'm wondering if they were microwaved now. But my point being - when someone complains who has never done that before - listen and take on board what they are saying. Don't be condescending and ignorant to what I was saying. You've now lost any future custom from me due to how you handled it. But doesn't seem like the owner is bothered based off other negative reviews!

The cod was dry, looked like it was from yesterday and for £11:05 I am not a happy customer. I always order from here because your cod is normally beautiful.

Food was excellent as usual, however, the pie didn’t seem to be the usual standard so not sure if these have been changed ? It wasn’t bad so no complaint just wasn’t as good as usual.

Really pleased with this place, they take to time to phone if they are short on something to discuss a substitution. Always polite, delivery fast, food great, especially the boxes of kebab meats. Never sure which food firm is best to order through especially as their are a few small menu differences, but Just Eat seems to be best for us. Good food and service, well done, keep it up!

Took nearly 3 hours for the food to be delivered, had to phone the restaurant 3 times.

Went in yesterday to buy some food, second time now I used this place- first experience the chips were soggy and cold and the fritter batter was quite hard, gave them them a second chance and ordered again (yes I know I shouldn’t have but I do believe in second chance on everything!) Second attempt - I didn’t order chips after asking the man behind the counter, if he’d put fresh chips in and was told no he microwaves his chips! Explains the first time I got chips, i ordered kebabs and the naan wasn’t fresh at all, it’s the ones you buy 3 for £1 at the local supermarket, yes it was microwaved, the chicken was hard and was asked to pay extra £1:50 for a little salad on my kebab. Second chance given and failed once again, I wouldn’t recommend unless you like microwaved chips and kebabs. Thanks to the worker who told me they microwave the food when it’s cold shows exactly why it tastes a bit funny 🤮

Food was expensive to say it was bland they charge 1:70 just for salad even though my meal was 10 pound and brought wrong item asked for garlic bread and brought it full of cheese and my son allergic

Ordered 18:20, expected delivery time -19:00-19:20, turned up at 20:18.. Food was tasty, but the wait was just too much & trying to phone the restaurant was impossible as it was constantly engaged for over an hour. Will either collect or completely avoid next time.

We never received chips that we ordered part of a meal Deal with the burger. Tried ringing them but no answer.

Used Giorgios a few times. Always nice enough to go back but never exceptional. I never will use Giorgio’s again after today. Always a stressful experience. Disorderly and rushed. Today I found the manner in which the gentleman,who appears to run the establishment, was very short tempered with his colleagues and very short and snappy with customers. impatient is the best way to describe him. Very little appreciation for custom. Especially the Uber guys collecting who i feel he addressed very impatiently. The way the guy spoke to me suggests that it’s just a money making exercise above any service level. i Left the place without ordering and furious at the way I was addressed by the guy, very impatient when taking orders and then the way he spoke to me in front of customers because i wanted to use apple pay was embarrassing. I proceeded to use the chip shop up in Bakersfield and the service and food was 100 times better. Should anyone from Giogios wish to speak to me about this i am happy to discuss.

We always order from Giorgio's, we have always enjoyed our meal and have recommended it to friends and family. This time however, i have to say the fish was awful, way too much batter and the fish itself was hard and dry. I was not expecting this at all given the cost of the meal.

I asked them to clarify my food wasn’t sat waiting, which they confirmed, however this was a lie as when the food did arrive it was cold and inedible. The large kebab was also far from a large. I rang to complain and was promised to be “sorted out” next time. However rang today to reorder and was only offered 25%.. this would have been around £3.50. Not sufficient after spending £25 on food, in a cost of living crisis. After being a long standing customer I won’t be returning. Very disappointed at this service!
