Took my bruv and sister (fussy eaters) for brunch. Food was delicious, portions generous, and the service was very prompt, friendly and obliging. All very friendly with a holiday atmosphere sitting in the sunshine outdoors. It’s rare to find a genuine English caff in Hove these days among all the trendy bistros and sourdough pizza places, so may long it flourish

I had their no 2 breakfast and a coffee. The coffee was utterly tasteless - I would not have been able to identify it as coffee, it was just some hot liquid. The breakfast was made from what must be the cheapest ingredients available. Really poor quality. There are a number of decent cafes in Hove. I don't know how this place survives.

Must be one of the biggest and best breakfast in the area. Passed this cafe so many times so decided to eat there. Can’t fault generous, well cooked food. Also very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and obliging

I've been to this cafe a number of times and always thought the staff were friendly, however, they clearly do not like to be challenged. In an issue over serving me an omlette with the wrong filling (which I didn't immediately realise due to the nature of omlettes being mainly egg on the periphery), they were unhelpful, unapologetic, and tried to shift the blame on to me for their "human error" by eating too much of said omlette before realising! It was a very upsetting experience which two staff members handled badly and in a very offhand way.

Georgies is a traditional English cafe. Cheap and cheerful, friendly service. Sandwiches £2, £3 for a panini. Traditional ham, egg & chips type menu. If you want a basic but good value meal without frills and fuss, and not part of some fancy chain that has to pay shareholders, then go to Georgies.

I discovered this cafe in 2013.I had gotten told off by the owner for sitting on one of their outside chairs without ordering. I was actually going to go inside but I had been collared within only a few seconds. I have always liked down at heel cafés and decided that this place was to be my regular and that I would eventually get some friendly service from the owner if it was the last thing I did. As I moved around the corner, St Aubyns, I made good on my decision.Sometimes a visit once or twice a week, as I moved again, a visit every other week or month. I should mention the other staff. A young man permanently in a black t-shirt, he is no-nonsense too, but will be polite and did engage with customers. On one occasion, he took my word for it that I had genuinely left my money elsewhere and after telling me that he knew that I was good for the money and that I would not sting them, he allowed me time to eat and then get the money an hour later. The cook has also been friendly to me, and I have seen him around and about outside the shop, where he is very friendly. I saw him before lockdown and he told me that he would look forward to seeing me soon as I told him that I will be coming back soon. Imagine my surprise when I was treated horribly when I visited this week. As I approached the counter asked the cook for a tea and told him that I would be back in a minute, the bank is literally next door! I was told that I should get the money for the tea and then return. Where was the friendship all of a sudden? I didn't expect it from the owner(after seven years!) , but this was unexpected. I returned a minute later and saw the cook yanking out my phone which I had plugged in the wall a minute before I went to the bank next door. "We don't want to pay for the electricity!" he said when I said "What's wrong?" After the double whammy, I picked up my baggage and left the shop. I immediately vowed never to return again, and wasn't sure about returning to say how unhappy I was with the rudeness, but after a few days, I popped in. I approached the manager and told her very calmly what had happened the other day. She quickly said, "No, I served you." She had been confused - I had exchanged a few words with her before the two acts of rudeness(asking if I had left anything on my previous visit). I continued, and said that, No, it was the cook. She repeated herself and said that she had brought the tea over to me. I reminded her that I had not actually stayed to order anything and gad left. She then SAID"YES! YOU LEFT! ".

Though at the present time only offering a take away service, there is still a lot on the menu which can be purchased. I had a veg burger, and given a prompt and friendly service.

Went here twice on holiday in Hove. It is what it is - a British cafe. Great value children's meals with squash included. Asked for an egg sandwich for myself and because I did not specify I got a fried egg sandwich which was the best thing I have eaten all holiday! Not as nice inside, but get a table outside and you will be happy. Very friendly service from everybody. If you need to feed kids cheaply, this ticks the boxes.

Our regular weekend haunt for a traditional full English breakfast. No bells or whistles, but good portions, friendly staff and inexpensive pricing.

We wanted a drink before going for dinner and spotted this sunny terrace overlooking the sea, it did the job with a decent glass of wine.

Went to Brighton for a day out and had a great time at High Tide, We were a family group of 10 adults & children having food and drinks. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our visit. We had a range of food - starters, fish & chips, burgers & chips. The food was nice and everyone enjoyed their meal. Would definitely recommend trying and would visit again. Thanks again, High Tide...

. ? Agua no lo suficientemente caliente . ? No lo sabemos . .

I hate to say this, but this must’ve been the worst ever experience I’ve had of having hot drinks and a slice of cake while eating out. I ordered a tiramisu hot chocolate and a latte coffee. Both of them should’ve been served in a mug, but were in cups, the drinks were tepid and the taste was very disappointing. The caramel chocolate cake was mediocre, far from what I would’ve expected in a high-end cafe. It was also like sitting in a refrigerator. When I picked up my spoon to stir the drink, the spoon felt ice cold as did we. The staffing levels were very poor, the young man that served us also ended up cleaning tables and taking away items to be washed up. While we were having our drink, he proceeded to put chairs on tables that were immediately behind us. This felt as though we were not welcome. I’m very disappointed in Waitrose, I was expecting way better than this! I don’t feel ever inclined to want to return to this place ever again!
