Caffe Nero in Brighton and Hove

Very poor management and always long time queueing since they just work 2 behind the bar. Previous management was way better.

Like most Neros, open early on Sunday, coffee is good, sofas need replacing.

This is A GREAT Cafe Neros....( Compared to The Female with A Wolf on her Shoulders..Who Works in the George Street, Hove , Cafe Neros!!! 🤐! ) A Complaint was put in Regarding her Non People Skills!!! Etc and Am Still to get very Far With IT!.....However, I praise Good Service In Any Business...And Complaint Regarding People who Are Rude, Shell Fish and Perhaps should Consider Looking for Some Other Type of Work...!!! 👍 Anyway, In this Western Road, Brighton I have Always Had A Good Experience..even when the Staff are Clearly Under Pressure Etc .... As he was with being on his Own and About 8 to 10 people waiting in A Queue! Well Done to Him....😁 Thank you all There Patrick

Customer toilets not avaliable, nor was the option to have hot food, tables dirty and full of dirty crockery. Vegetable roll disappointing.

A decent coffee shop on western road

Usual Nero, but with only 2 staff on at time, the queue was long and slow. Most tables as a consequence hadn't been cleared or cleaned.

Nice and easy to use with lots of space and area inside and outside for seating. Next to the road where buses are and a good selection of things to have here.

Nice location and quick serving times in here with standard stuff to have here, been a few times in the past. Can be busy at certain times in the day though.

Very poor hygiene serving tray greasy. Tea spoon was dirty and replaced spoon similar. Table not wiped down from previous evening. Our visit was at 9.00 am

Scone so tough could not cut into it

Was referred to as “very annoying” by the manager Alex (brown hair Caucasian male) for simply trying to open a window. Then proceeded to patronise me for not having a drink while doing my work, even though I have been a regular customer for the past few months. Looked up and saw him gossiping about me with another coworker who laughed and then quickly looked away.

Cake was absolutely delicious. The coffee was great. The guy who served me was lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately his colleague was more interested in chatting with his friends than serving, even though the queue was quite long. The floors were absolutely filthy, covered in crumbs and rubbish. Which is a shame because seriously, the cakes are amazing!

Popped in for a coffee, which was quite pleasant. To few staff for the amount of customers. The place is absolutely filthy, no tables have been wiped down and the floor is strewn with rubbish. I won't be repeating the experience.

Comfortable and friendly customer service.

I had a lovely focaccia and smoothie and the staff was really lovely however most tables were full of dirty cups and mess, but I could see that the only 2 staff were busy making coffees so it seems as if they really need another staff to work, especially on a Saturday! The managers should recognise that 2 staff alone is not enough for the cafe to work properly!

Welcoming staff. The Preston St /Western Rd branch is flooded with natural light and furnished with comfortable seating. The single origin coffee is worth the 30p surcharge. At opening time, 7am M-F 7.30am Sat & 8.00pm Sun, we are greeted with classical music and smile (usually).

I WAS THERE AT 1115AM. SATURDAY 10TH JUNE. ORDERED TEA AND CINNAMON DANISH. HAS TO CHANGE TO MY ORDER TO CUSTARD DANISH. I HAVE BEEN SERVED BY FOREIGNER BOY MIDIUM TAN, 6FT TALL, VERY SHORT HAIR. HIS ATTITUDE IS OBNOXIOUS TO BE SERVED CUSTOMERS BEHIND THE COUNTER. I REGRET THAT I DID NOT WALK AWAY WHILE HE IS DOING MY BREAKFAST TEA.

El lugar lo recomiendo y volvería otra vez si es necesario. Yo fuí un día muy temprano en la mañana. Caffé Nero pone música clásica e instrumental de fondo, lo que te hace empezar el día en un ambiente en donde te sientes tranquilo y relajado. También tienen espacio suficiente para que te sientes con mucha comodidad, ya sea en un sofá o una silla. El personal super atento y agradable. Precios muy asequibles.

Excellent food compared to other cafes in the area, drink was made hot instead of ice but quickly resolved thought still warm upon delivery, staff are eager to help and friendly, seasonal pistachio latte was delicious.

The staff is very nice and too busy. Always professional and very helpful.

Popped into western road branch for a coffee, a small chalkboard on the counter tells me the dishwasher is broken and paper cups only are available, however this was a painted sign so I assume the washer is permanently broken. Can’t comment on the quality of the coffee because it was spoiled by the taste of paper cup but I can comment on the cleanliness, which was very poor. Tables littered with cups as was the floor and the windowsill, the tables themselves were sticky and were not being wiped down between customers. On the whole a very disappointing experience.

Staff always very friendly and efficient.

Staff can’t make vegan drinks. 9 out of 10 times my cups are half empty, because half of them are froth. Never order large, as it will fit into medium cup. Money down the drain with this branch, please teach them better!

Walked 20m to get there at 13:35 on a Saturday to see a sign on the door to say they are closing early at 2pm. However, they were instead cleaning up and not taking any new orders. Not impressed! A 40m round trip pushing a double buggy with no drink to show for it

Shocking service from staff member today.....tables full of dirty cups and they couldn't serve coffee in proper cups as nothing was cleaned....worst Caffe Nero I've ever been into....won't be retuning,plenty of much better coffee shops ...

Had mocha twice, unfortunately both times tasted awful. Not sure is staff needs retraining or it's Nero's style but won't be buying there again.

Such a shame, the workers are usually excellent and so friendly but the new male staff member seems to have found a way to make coffee hostile. He isn’t necessarily rude but his disposition towards me and other members of staff makes such an uncomfortable energy. Very tense environment whenever he’s is in, sly remarks, odd faces, complaining loud enough for customers to hear, patronising other staff, etc. Switching to Small Batch.

My experience has always been a pleasant and positive one. I must also that the Staff have always been cheerful and courteous, I drink Tea, and have always had a decent cuppa/mug. I personaly like the place.

A good place for reading and salted caramel latte is fine but if you are looking for an almond croissant you should try The Flour Pot Bakery - First Avenue

Im a frequent client and I enjoy the coffee they make, but unfortunately the level of cleanliness is low, empty cup and dishes every where on the tables, leftover bread and tissues as well and some on the floor! Most of the time I have to clean it by my self and stuff doesn’t bother! Rather than that every things is fine.

Toilet was disgusting! If my husband had not already bought the coffee I wouldn't have given them my money.

Friendly service, although steady trade wise. Good levels of seating available: inside/outside. They have a loyalty card scheme, ask for your stamp. My partner used the toilet, pee puddles no hand drying facility.

Jack, Gregory, Ali and another gentleman ( I think he’s the manager) are an amazing team of smiling, kind and friendly people who make really a pleasure to go to their welcoming and warm cafe’, and have my coffee before going to work. Thanks guys and keep it up 🙏🏻 ☕️ 😊 Simo x

I'm not a huge fan of coffee chains. I'd much rather support small business's. However, they are courteous and efficient. I actually only went here as a friend asked me too.

Able to get a vegan sausage roll with ketchup and a drink nice little coffee shop, servers were very polite

One of their best restaurants I visited after a long time.

Can’t knock the service this was good. However, the restroom was a big let down, especially as we had a child with us. It was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in hours! If you are a family with young kids do not come here! Worried about covid? I’d be more worried about the toilet situation!

Lovely experience at this Neros. Delightful attitude from Staff. Hence the photo to say do come visit and see what life is like. Relaxed sitting outside with the Ambience yet again. That word (AMBIENCE) is everything you needed to enjoy coffee at its best.

Visited to today to find 1 young girl working the Caffe alone. She was trying her hardest to accommodate everyone. Running around trying to clean tables after customers left and toast paninis, make drinks etc. The toilets suffered as she can't clean them and being the only one on the counter. Poor management planning if you ask me. All the safety restrictions being breached! 10/10 for the young girl though

Best Nero in brighton in my opinion. Less busy but in the town centre next to the bus stops. Always have pleasant staff and clean tables.

Always busy, lively cafe. Staff variable temperaments! Nice layout inside and seats outside. Looks cosy from the outside. Some sofa type / comfy seats inside.

It's a Nero like all others. Very annoying music, especially in the afternoon. They seem to play more depressing music in the afternoon which is more annoying than the upbeat music in the mornings. Both annoying and too loud. Hate to say it but Starbucks is a better place to chill..
