George Stores and Tea Room in Stroud

OK, so I am biased as it is our 'local' but Tom and Lucinda run a super-duper tea rooms and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast? Delicious and plenty of it. Elevenses? Lemon Drizzle cake to die for. Lunch? Oh yes - the monthly church special of soup and sandwiches is eagerly awaited but in between there's a whole host of toasties, pasties and such like to enjoy. Afternoon Tea? Perfect for every day or a birthday celebration tea. Beautiful vintage bone china cups and saucers and surrounded by amazing paintings done by village artists, and with a roaring log fire in the winter. What's not to like? Bisley is one of the Cotswolds hidden delights, not found by many tourists but well worth strolling round for its beautiful village streets and houses and a stop at the George Stores Tea Room.

Everything you could want from a village shop and post office. Local produce and a friendly welcome.

lovely small tea room serving excellent breakfasts and light lunches.Also delicious home made cakes. We enjoyed a very serious full English/Irish breakfast this morning set us up for the day.
