George Inn in High Peak

Spent the weekend in Castleton and ate here every day. Can’t fault the outdoor service, managed to get a table under cover in the 2 times we visited. Food was lovely. Had a take away from the pizza box on Saturday evening - doner loaded fries - amazing!

Visited without booking. Outside seating area is mainly under cover. Great pizza! Staff are helpful and friendly. Lovely place to relax. Recommended.

We stayed here last weekend for 2 nights. The room was immaculately clean with nice complimentary items wine, water, toiletries etc. Lunch was from outside pizza box and was fantastic all cooked fresh. Evening meals and deserts delicious. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and service was excellent. There is an outside upstairs seating area for residents looking out at amazing views, even when we sat there we weren't forgotten and staff kept coming up to check we were okay and if we needed anything. Stayed for Sunday lunch again amazing. Booked already to stay in 4 weeks and we can't wait. Thank you John, Vicky and all staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We have visited Castleton many times in the past but have never eaten at The George. That was until last week! We had been on a walk and after seeing the loaded fries on your Facebook page, was sure to give them a go. We arrived slightly earlier than opening time, but we were told we could take a seat (sat at the front) and you’d get the iPads up and running so we could place an order. We were made to feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. After having the most delicious lunch and being looked after by attentive staff, we revisited later in the week. This time in the evening and sat in the back area. Waitress remembered us from earlier in the week and very friendly. Advised us on food and nothing was too much trouble. Very busy evening but food was with us within about 20 minutes Max. The drinks were very swift. All in all a really positive experience and will definitely be in for a visit again soon

Really liked the choice of sausages with Yorkshire pudding, delicious. Pizza was tasty and veggie burger filling. Good pub.

I have moved house during the 2nd lockdown and have had no cooler for a week. So me and my family decide to have a takeaway and from the normal Indian or fish and chips we thought we would give the George takeaway ago. It was beautiful, just as good as when we visit the pub it’s self. We got it delivered and it arrived 5 mins early which was a bonus. It was piping hot and plenty of it. The delivery lady was cheerful and polite even in the cold wet rainy night. Defiantly will be having another.

We booked a table after seeing reviews on trip advisor but to be quite honest it was a bit of a let down in comparison to the other pubs in Castleton. The waiter was I hope just having a bad day as he totally ignored us even though he looked in our direction and could see the table was void of drinks and food after 25 mins but the was told by another member of staff to come to us. the food was passable but the decor needs a lot of attention.

The staff were very attentive and professional and friendly, the food was great. The room was good with some free drinks in the fridge which we very welcome. I just personally didn’t like the saniflow toilet as very noisy, plus the air freshener that squirted out a chemical smell constantly. Both just meant it was noisy in the night and as a light sleeper, this was the only negative. The bedroom was lovely, very comfortable, plenty of tea and coffee and proper milk.We had dinner and breakfast, both were of a very good standard, very tasty and lots of choice. The beer was fantastic and the other clientele very nice to have a chat with. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would return.

We had a great stay at The George in Castleton, this was a last minute getaway before the next lockdown. The room was great, had everything we needed and despite the wind and rain outside was warm and snug. The food was delicious, with huge portions of tasty fare. The selection of cask ales was great.

We were in Castleton for four nights and wanted to book somewhere for dinner on the first night before we travelled due to not knowing the effect of Covid. The George was recommended as having good food and allowing dogs. We booked and enjoyed it so much we went back each night except for one where we got a takeaway from the George. The food was good and service excellent for two of the visits out of three where we ate in. When I mentioned the drop in level for service on the third visit, feedback was taken really professionally and I left happy. Of in Castleton, give the George a visit!

We spent 2 nights at the pub and would highly recommend. Breakfast is now back to being served downstairs with full cooked breakfast options, food was good pub grub and a warm fire made it even better. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our bathroom was a little tired looking and had a leaky tap but staff were made aware and will be sorting this otherwise a nice and comfy room for a short break in the peaks. Plenty of gluten free options too!

We visited the George on our mini break to Castleton. We recieved a warm welcome and our dog was welcome too. The menu had so much to choose from . The vegetarian shephards pie was delicious lots of veggie options . We love Castleton so will.definately visit again

We only popped in here for a couple of drinks but when we saw another customer's pizza, it looked that good we decided to stay and eat. We were not disappointed, the pizzas were delicious (and huge) and alas we could not finish one each. Fortunately they have takeaway pizza boxes and we boxed up our leftovers and had it for late supper when we got back home.Staff were lovely and everything was spot on, can't fault this place.

Booked in advance and was our final choice for a 3 night stay in Castleton - our best choice. Food was lovely, service was great. Thank you!

We had a takeaway tonight from here. 4 different meals, which were delivered to us piping hot and very tasty. Highly recommended, well done.

Interesting to read the reviews. Real lack of warmth here. Not sure whether the guy in charge was the landlord, but he was extremely reluctant to engage in conversation except with a couple of regulars in the corner.Food okay, but even in COVID, is there need for cardboard cups and plastic UHT sachet milk?

Very warm, friendly and helpful staff. The marquee is heated and every attention to detail has been thought about to keep customers safe. A great selection of draught beers. We all agreed that we made a good choice to stop here for a pint.

We had a pizza delivery tonight, as always staff when ordering and delivering are so pleasant and helpful! Food arrives piping hot and really quickly, such good quality and very reasonably priced, can’t fault them, highly recommend!

Just back from a great weekend in castleton. The George as always, didn't let us down. Great food (the rib eye steak was amazing), and a great selection of real ales. The staff were 1st class and the heated marquee outside was set out brilliantly. Can't wait to visit agai again

Very well organised during these times, probably the best in the village to be fair. Had the steak dinner on Saturday night, AMAZING!Staff are always happy to help too. The landlord and landlady have done a fantastic job. Would highly recommended if you visit this amazing village. I go at least twice a year and love the village and the george !

I did not get a chance to get inside to see what the George has to offer but i was please with the extra facilities provided within the tents in the car park. The staff did well under the difficult COVID controls and i was impressed with the way they handled a large group who wanted to flaunt the rules.I enjoyed the beer and the standard of service. The food was basic but everyone and their dogs are welcome. A great place to stop after visiting the castle or finishing your walk over the hills.

We went into Castleton to visit Peak Cave, but found we had an hour to wait, so decided to have some lunch. The staff at the George were very welcoming and really switced in to the Covid restrictions. We were shown to a table and ordered via table service. The food was very good apart from the fish finger sandwiches, obviously cooked from frozen and really overcooked, hard and dry, chef needs to rethink these.All in all a good experience.

Rang n reserved a table for lunchtime, advisable in these times as we were seated inside. Made to feel very comfortable, drinks order taken immediately. Slight delay for food order as had to wait for table service, we both had rib eye steak medium rare, mine cooked to perfection, my daughters a little too much on the rare side but the quality of the meat was exceptional.I would have liked to have given 5star rating, but nobody checked how our meals were, if they did I feel confident my daughters steak would have been taken away and returned cooked to perfection.In these awkward times, it maybe that contact with customers has to be kept to a minimum.Great value for money and I happily recommend this place as a go-to destination.

Food mediocre and certainly wouldn’t return again, found a hair in my steak pie which wasn’t nice. Good covid precautious, tables spaced extremely well apart and you have to QR code the menu.

Sat in heated marquee outside, in October!! Very pleasant, considering the restrictions! Very good food, pleasant staff, trying hard to please. Would recommend it. Shame about a yapping dog, underneath the next table! But nothing the staff could do about this. All in all a pleasant time.

My family have favoured this pub for generations. But yesterday, amid the rain storms, covid, and woolly hatted hikers, this pub emerged to be the best part of our day.The staff worked so courteously and well. The food was the best and we must mention the coleslaw and home-made ketchup in particular. We fought over the steak pie!

This is one beautiful pub and very friendly staff especially the lady from Sheffield ( who now lives in the village). Very good covid control throughout.Inside it's a really pretty pub 2 parts are like sungs, we was in the lounge.The beer was excellent.But the food was super great sized portions and there Apple and apricot crumble with homemade custard was a dream. Naturally this has a great reputation as we was hoping to eat again but fully booked it's that good

An unplanned trip out saw us arrive at the George A great system led us to full table service Great online menu. We settled for the traditional Sunday lunch Beef and Pork chosen Served promptly by personable staffWith Yorkshire, Roast and mashed potatoes and roast parsnips. With a tureen of fresh vegetables Stunning washed down with a well kept pint.

Home cooked food delicious, felt safe in these odd times , I opted for the curry, while my wife had the pie, washed down with a lovely beer

Totally recommend this wonderful pub, the owners vicky and John have created an excellent secure covid system and are fantastic hosts. The food is outstanding as always, the staff go out of they're way to help you and you chefs are 1st class. We enjoy our stay every year, can not fault it at all. Xx

Stumbled in off the street in dire need of thirst-quenching after the long descent from Peveril Castle. It was fairly busy (mid-afternoon on a Tuesday) but we found a table- kindly offered by a couple that was leaving, this was our first mistake.Possibly the bar staff didn't recognise we were a new 30-something white couple at the table and didn't attend for possibly 20 minutes. As we were considering leaving (the note on the door entry informed us it was table service and we should wait to be served) a member of staff walked by and we got their attention. Clearly they were perturbed that we had sat down without them sanitising the table, our fault.Once we had all eased into the uncomfortable start, the service was good, the drinks hitting the spot and the atmosphere amiable. Lovely little boozer, would book a table to eat in the future, the food looked pretty nice.

Me and some friends thought we'd try The George out for food as don't often eat there. The food was great and came out so quick. Staff were brilliant and the pub is very clean and tidy.

We visited the George and just ordered drinks, we thought the pub was so cosy but there was no room inside so we sat in the beer garden. We sat down and asked the waitress whether we can order on the app or if she could take our order, she abruptly replied I’ll take it what do you want. We gave our drinks order and asked politely if we could pay separately and she sighed, rolled her eyes. Her attitude was horrible and the experience was not nice at all. The blonde waitress serving in the beer garden on Saturday needs some training on customer service. All the other members of staff were polite.

We can’t speak highly enough of The George!! Staff, beer, food, service was all excellent. We will definitely be back!!

I don’t write negative reviews lightly. You can see from all of my extensive previous reviews I always tend to focus on the positive. But when you go somewhere and expect a friendly welcome and a nice clean room for the evening and hopefully some half decent food and then you are let down on most of these counts it’s somewhat disappointing.Food was not too bad, average put grub, nothing special but could have been worse, very lacklustre service though verging on quite rude. Now the super negatives. Firstly the room was one of the dirtiest and most unkempt rooms I have ever stayed, and I’ve travelled extensively throughout a number of very poor countries in budget hotels. Bed was unmade, stained sheets, filthy toilet brush and stained toilet bowl. Have never seen so much dust fall from a curtain upon opening.So naturally I requested a new room, and in 20 years of travelling the globe and the uk I have never been spoken to in such a rude and patronising manner as though I were a child by a member of management. Could not believe this person works in the hospitality industry. Refused a new room, accused of lying and shouted at for asking for a refund.Think twice before booking, place is not as it seems.

We always return when we are in the area. Lovely staff and excellent food. Very impressed with superfast and friendly service today amid Covid precautions and busy bank holiday. Thank you!

Stayed at the george for 3 nights and was very happy with room and views. We also had a few meals there and can i say the best steak i have ever tasted! Make sure you go and meet all the great staff at the george they made us very welcome will deffo be back.

The staff have put a great deal of thought into making the pub Covid secure, it really is exceptional. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was good.

Good, predictable food in a socially distanced environment. Menu is straightforward and probably exactly what you are looking for after a long walk or drive in the dales. most important to us on our visit was that we were able to eat outside in an appropriately social distanced environment. Menus are 100% online via a QR code. Service is polite, informed and friendly although more detail is needed around keeping distance from customers when serving food.one-way system and very well spaced marquee are all part of the safety-conscious environment.

A lovely freshly cooked meal. We were a group of 5 so sampled a good few dishes and all were great.The chips are particularly good. My only wee niggle would be that I am vegan and there was nothing labelled on the menu,however on asking I was offered a choice of 3 main courses. Also only vanilla ice cream for me for dessert. If vegan choices could be added to the menu and a couple of desserts it would be perfect.Serving staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Booked here having read the tripadvisor reviews; however, had an experience that was very different to the other reviews. The food was, at best, average (the chicken burger was one of the worst things I have been served in a long time) and the service was variable with some staff bordering on rude. I can’t recommend you eat here.

We ate here two nights running because we felt so relaxed. They were going so far above and beyond sticking a bit of tape on the floor and making hand sanitiser available. Superb organisation and they really stuck to the plan. Beer and food were great. We sat in the marquee. Excellent work guys!

Absolutely amazing service today from the young female waitress, truly took notch service from her and so professional when it came to the covid protocols they have in place. She also went out of her way to ensure they could provide a vegan meal, which was delicious. The sprite was also amazing (compared to McDonalds sprite lol). Thanks so much & would def recommend this beautiful English pub

We called in for our evening dessert after a poor hotel meal. Very pleased - if you like puddings with custard you would be in your element with the range they have. Other desserts were equally good. Reasonable prices, good beer, very clean and friendly staff. Can’t go wrong.

Had a fabulous meal for a large party to celebrate a special day. John and Vicky went out of their way to help us and even delivered the food personally. Everyone enjoyed the food and no washing up

Had a meal here when visiting Castleton for the weekend. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the portion sizes were great for us good lovers. We had 3 courses and could not fault any of it. The choices for bangers and mash were fab. I ended with sticky toffee pudding and I have to say, it was one of the best I've had. Would definitely recommend this place

Stayed here for a 3 night break from Tuesday to Friday. Had a fantastic time ate here for evening meal twice, the food was amazing and the service at all times was second to none. All social distancing hand sanitizer etc were in place and made us feel really safe. A lovely warm marquee available if the weather is not too good. Room lovely comfortable and spotlessly clean with lovely complementary wine and water. Breakfast was so nice with fresh milk, cereal, muesli bar, yogurt fruit etc. And a great addition to the room a fridge to keep everything cold. Shower hot and nice toiletries. Also a really nice private area for residents only. All staff were so nice and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent stay and have already booked to go back, cant wait !!!

We visited The George whilst visiting Castleton for our evening meal, and were pleasantly surprised with their quality of food and cheery prompt service.It was obvious that they were taking social distancing seriously, with hand wash as you enter, a one way system and table service only. The tables had dividers in between them, so we felt as safe as possible, given the times.I had the veggie pizza, and I can honestly say it's one of the best I've had in a good while. My wife had the nachos and also enjoyed them. We washed this down with a few pints - brown cow ale for me and a diet coke for the missus.

Great pub and good food. Chose to eat here as advertised as homemade, and it is exactly that. I ordered the Lasagne and it was cooked really well. My wife had the fish pizza which she said was good. Overall a nice experience, beer good too!

Went to the George for lunch this week. The staff were extremely accommodating, the dog was allowed in, social distancing was good, the food was very good with large portions plus catered for my gluten free husband

Whilst on a short break in Castleton with family & friends we booked in at the George. Extremely well set up to be Covid-19 safe with outdoor heated marquee tent, paperless menus, table service & socially distanced tabling. Besides that the food, service & drinks were sooo good that we booked again for the following night. The roast dinner was some of the best we’ve ever had and the kids loved the homemade pizzas with chips to die for. Sticky toffee pudding & apple crumble cobbler were the favourites from puddings and all washed down with a beautiful pint of Destination APA. Well done team.

The food was delicious, staff friendly and they have strict and good measurements with the cronavirus. Would go to the area just to go there! Worth visiting.

This was our first meal out since the lockdown. It was very nice, staff is very friendly. We ordered a burger and fish/chips. The burger was really good and the fish was ok. In any case it was what was needed after a long hike.

Heard great reviews here so decided to book for tea. Ordered the salad as the healthier option, asked for Halloumi & Chicken. There was no salad, a couple of leaves at best. It came with fried halloumi, dry chicken and fried potatoes. The waitress was really helpful & understanding which is why this isn’t 1*. My partner had pizza which he said was nice.

My Wife, two young boys and I have just had a lovely dinner (and a couple of drinks) in this splendid village pub. Food, as usual, was top notch as was the service and attentiveness of the usual and extra staff that have had to be taken on in the current new socially distanced world. The family and Team have done a great job in getting The George working really well whilst keeping people safe - it cannot have been easy to organise and we have witnessed the hard work pay off. The only disappointment - a young fellow customer who had the temerity to complain about the speed of service in a very obtuse manner. Great pub, great staff, delightful food and selection of drinks. Highly recommended.

Had lovely meal - had warmed cheese starter sharing plate o start which was amazing followed by fish and chips. lovely friendly staff and big attention to Covid safety. would recommend - portions are healthy sized - we struggled to finish but was very tasty.

Take away fish and chips after a long long walk was what we needed, and this did not let us down! During these tough times of Covid-19 the Landlord and Landlady are keeping business going with a smile on their face, amazing quality food, served by amazing quality people. 5 out of 5.

Enjoyed the food, the staff willingly wrapped the meat I couldn’t finish for a doggy bag, friendly, enjoyed the Friday quiz, able to bring the dogs was a bonus. Easy walking distance from our holiday cottage

Had the most amazing takeaway dinner for the 5 of us. Staff were so accommodating and we were able to collect our food from the door. The standard of the food was, as usual, exceptional. We had Fish n Chips, Burgers and BBQ pizza, yum. So grateful they have set this up so we don't miss out on their great pub grub.

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch here during our stay in Castleton. The nut roast was really tasty and was served with mash and roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables that were cooked just right. Great ales on the bar too. Very friendly helpful staff.

We booked an evening meal here after realising the nags Head food hygiene rating had dropped and we had a lovely evening. We had 6 people (1 vegan) and 2 dogs and were all well catered for.The food was great, good sized portions well cooked. The tuna was especially good. We are castleton regulars and this will be our restaurant of choice in the future.

We went for a hike at Mam Tor with friends and searched for somewhere to eat afterwards in advance due to my husband having dietary requirements. The menu is clearly labelled with Gluten Free options which makes it so much easier! My partner said it was the best GF pizza he has ever had! He also was able to have the chips which was a nice treat! They had gluten free carrot cake but unfortunately the chef made an error and put a wafer for decoration on the plate (replacing something else) but my partner is super sensitive to cross contamination so couldn’t eat it. The staff were really apologetic and gave us a refund for the cake and asked if anyone else wanted to eat the cake free of charge. Easy mistake to make. We will be returning after our next hike. Lovely little place. Friendly staff.

This pub is a old pub that has not been spoiled still old fashioned.........Staff are brilliant very inviting.......Stopped here a few time lovely rooms and clean...........Breakfast is to die for .......Food served in day time plenty of choice ..........What more can we say thank you for looking after us ........

Lovely fire and welcome. Comfy seat near the fire and tasty lunch. Good choice of beers and drinks. Friendly and not too busy Friday lunchtime.

A lovely winter visit to this traditional pub, great selection of beers and the sausage n mash combinations were all good too. The two young ladies serving were excellent hosts on both occasions we visited. Best pub in Castleton..

We were staying in the Castle Hotel next door and popped in for a couple of drinks the staff were a family and very pleasant and helpful. Very nice atmosphere and great for walkers with pets

Had early evening dinner here twice during our short stay in Castleton, plenty of choice on the menu, good value tasty food, served by friendly, happy staff. Keep up the good work it’s much appreciated.

The fish finger sandwich with an additional side of chips was just the ticket after a 7-mile walk round Mam Tor. Especially nice, when washed down with a nice ale (Wainwright’s).

Best pub for beer and food in Castleton! Very busy day in Castleton, sunny cold day in Jan20, walkers everywhere. So when we struck lucky and got a table at The George we had great food and drinks sat in this lovely warm pub. Just what we needed. Next time we visit we will be booking a table though, please make sure you do the same, this pub is well worth it. The pork casserole in a massive Yorkshire pud for dish of the day!

We visited on Xmas eve and although the pub isn't boutique style and maybe needs a lick of paint, it is an authentic old style pub with history and very good pub food. It's not huge so probably best to book. And very central to Castleton

Stopped in Castleton for a few days walking and tried all the pubs but this was my favourite. The wainwright’s bitter is lovely and food delicious had a roast beef and onion baguette after a 5 hr walk and returned for dinner later that night as it was so nice. I had the Chicken Curry which was lovely and my mate had the different sausages in mash. Staff cheerful and came and and stood and spoke to us for a cpl of mins when collecting our plates.

22 of us booked in for a post walk lunch. The food was really good, the service was attentive and friendly, we were never rushed and could have stayed there longer.

Eaten here before several years ago and found the food delicious. On this occasion the experience wasn't so good. Firstly, it is a lovely olde worlde pub with real fires. We both had fish pie with the side of veg. Pie served un small enamel dish with a selection of; carrots, brocolli, mange tout, cauli and courgette with ine small offering of sweetcorn. Veg not great 5/10. Fish pie with very stringy cheese topping lacked flavour and substance 4/10. With drinks-pint of John Smiths and pint of Carling shandy the bill came to over £32. Most definitely not worth the money. At no time did any staff come to see if our meals were ok. We drank up and left disappointed and wanting. This place needs to up its game both in the food department and staff training. Sorry.

Stopped by in Castleton for a stroll w I th the wife, the picture speaks for itself, the 20oz mixed grill is incredible and outstanding value for 20 quid, worth every penny, nicely washed down with some Stowford press. The wife had a lovely tikka masala, just a lovely quaint old fashioned pub, we will be back in the summer and plant to stay for a few nights, I will be having this mixed grill again.

If you are visiting Castleton and you are looking for a nice supper than l would recommend eating here. The fish pie is very tasty!!

I didn't stay at the George, but in my room at the Ramblers was a food menu for the George pub, I noticed that they did a large variety of pizza and these were also available to take out from the menu, but I fancied the home made chips also from the menu as they sounded nice, so I gave the pub a ring and asked would I be able to get chips also with the pizza as a take out, I was informed that I could literally have anything on the menu available to take back to my room (WOW), I went ahead and ordered the pizza and chips and was told it would be ready in less than 10 minutes, it was and it was also piping hot, very very nice pizza, and the home made chips were exactly as I hoped delicious . All in all the service and quality of the food were superb, I will 100% keep the George in mind for my next visit to castleton either to drop in and eat there, or if I'm stuck and just want something for take out with super quick service and super tasty food. ☆☆☆☆☆

We stayed at the Castle Hotel for the evening , but on seeing the level service at castle pub decided to visit the George for food .

21 of us (adults and children) had our annual Christmas walk through Castleton, finishing off with a meal in The George. We pre-ordered our food from an extensive menu and the staff I called when re-booking were helpful and advised on alternatives. We arrived at a busy time for the pub but were seated on time and in clean surroundings, every dish was amazing, hot, tasty and good portion sizes. The staff were amazing, very friendly, welcoming and relaxed, even though they were clearly busy. When trying to sort the bill for that many people it can be a nightmare but they made it easy, quick and stress-free. We will definitely be returning to The George as our visit was made even more special by the terrific staff. Would HIGHLY recommend.

After visiting The George in September when we were in the area and loving it, we decided to book a two night stay here after Christmas. It was just as we remembered it, gorgeous pub with delicious food and the warmest of welcomes. We were in room number 2 which was full of character, great ensuite bathroom and delivered a great nights sleep. The breakfasts were hearty and tasty. We ate both nights in the pub too - that is how good the food is! This is a special place in all areas and the people that work there make you feel looked after, they are all so lovely. We did not want to leave and will be coming back for many years to come.

Gorgeous food, especially the pizza. Very welcoming and friendly. Lovely Christmas atmosphere. Quiz was great fun. Dogs welcome - as they are virtually everywhere in Castleton. Love it here

We had a lovely meal at The George when visiting Castleton to see the Christmas Lights. On a very cold night it was lovely to enter a warm, comfy room with a log fire. The room was very rustic and tastefully decorated for Christmas. The welcome from the staff was warm and friendly. The meals were home cooked and presented nicely on big plates - the Turkey dinner had a selection of six vegetables and very reasonably priced.

Warm cozy atmosphere by the fireplace, friendly staff, good beer and good food. Lovely little traditional English pub.

Took elderly and quite doddery mother to see the lights (worth a trip) in early December.Had pre-booked a table - good job since the place was rammed .Very helpful staff showed us to our table and were very accommodating of mother’s mobility issues. Service was prompt and all done from the table. Good selection of foods including local produce . The food was good “pub food” and portions ample for even the heartiest appetite. The chicken and mushroom pie was a meal in itself let alone the veggies. My wife’s sea bass was very well cooked and presented. They do an excellent selection of wines by the glass and good beers. The crumble was full of fruit and very yummy.
