This place is OK for the QUICK pint

Good Saturday night out they have disco/karaoke from 8pm till late only place in mosborough that I know do it on a Saturday sometimes also on a Friday can get a little busy at times but a good night out

My favourite pub about, know all people what go in and just a good setting to send your time there. Just turned 18 and love it.

We had a fantastic stay, 3 friends in a beautiful and spacious room. We arrived early but was no trouble and the wonderful hosts Jenny and Tom welcomed us warmly, let us in early and served a much appreciated cold beer! Stunning setting and views, delicious freshly cooked breakfast and so peaceful. Definitely plan to go back, just because we loved it so much! Also I left a jacket in the room and one quick phone call later Tom said if they find it they will post it to me. Really can't praise enough the lovely welcome and hosting we got throughout our stay. Thank you Jenny and Tom for making our rare night away together so perfect 🥰

One of the few left in mosbrough, friendly, nice old pub

The first time I came into this pub I was greeted by a welcoming young lady behind the bar, they have Guinness on draught which was spot on! It has now become a regular pub for me as the staff are so friendly and chatty. Has a great atmosphere and on weekends usually has people in that makes it a great place to come meet new people and have a chat. Would definitely recommend to any family as I’ve seen many kids in here and they have an amazing playground out back for them. And on top of all that it’s dog friendly so in my eyes it’s basically heaven. Guinness and dogs, YES PLEASE!! Perfection 😘

Bit of a strange one, this one. I’ve known this pub for most of my drinking life (35+ years), and it seems to have lost its way a bit. Decided to pop in here for old time’s sake, and as I like to take photos, before we went in, I took the one I’ve added to this review. The landlady was friendly, welcoming and very pleasant when we went in, and the few regulars in there were right enough, but there was little to no choice of beers. Then the landlord came in, and decided to loudly comment about people taking photos of the pub. I replied that I have a daft hobby of taking a picture a day, and this was today’s, but he was having none of it, unable to fathom that it is perfectly possible, and an accepted practice, to use the camera on a phone. My friend tried to explain that I like photography, but the landlord still went on about it. Anyway, we had our one drink, enduring the bright light and lack of atmosphere, then left, bringing to an end our long relationship with the George and Dragon.

Pub is a bit tired, nothing to do with the person who runs it he is trying his best.

Almorzamos los domingos, como una familia de 4, que era encantador, sabroso y con una buena relación calidad-precio. El personal es amable, aunque un poco desordenado, lo que se espera con todo el servicio de mesa. Volveremos a nuestro local y probaremos nuestra noche de hamburguesas muy pronto.

What a pub should be a pub not a restaurant

10 of us booked an afternoon tea and the Landlady opened the pub for us. We had a great afternoon, as much tea and coffee as we needed, lovely food and very helpful staff. This was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Called in whist in are for meal and drink but no food and service was slow, owner. Only interested in locals. Watered down beer.

Brilliant local pub, warm and welcoming a credit to the landlady and a bonus to the village.

Popped in yesterday for a beer as I was passing, was a lively wee pub, staff seemed friendly and everyone there seemed to be having fun, there were even families. So it cant be that bad a place. I never ate any food so cant comment on that but the beer was cold and the sun was shining!

A good little pub with good beer very friendly staff. Food on everyday but not on the day I last visited the chef had gone out ? Thursday is pie day and that's worth a visit. Only 3 stars until I've had food from the chef that goes missing. 😠

Came across this pub by accident but what a find! Had the Sunday dinner we are very fussy eaters could not find fault with any of it and dog friendly which makes a difference.Very friendly pub we are moving to the area soon and look forward to visiting the George &Dragon.

Dropped in on way home Saturday evening, and it was busy outside due too the weather, but inside very quiet. Nice pub, drinks are top prices ,it has a lot of locals frequenting so popular, it is a drop in have a drink and move on pub for us. Nice local ,clean and bright. But small inside

The food was cheap, I'll give it that but other than that there is little else positive to say I'm afraid. Every drink we ask for they didn't have. There was a distinct lack of mayo a key ingredient in tuna mayo. The decor was v.dated.

Friendly small township pub, very welcoming with well kept bar, the food was as good as I have had in a small pub, and at very reasonable prices. It is somewhere I will use again if I am in the area again.

Been out and about with hubby Saturday pm and dropped into local village, this is a small friendly pub. Always busy. Not the cheapest in the village but nice atmosphere and usually bump into friends when we drop in. They serve food here too so child friendly.

Very friendly local pub. The food was good and very reasonably priced. Nothing fancy just good old fashioned English grub. Served some of the old fashioned puddings you don't often get these days like spotted dick and treacle pudding.

I don't really know where to start. There was an attitude as soon as we walked into the place. The atmosphere wasn't very nice. We waited ages at the bar before being served by the woman behind the bar who didn't look like she wanted to serve anybody. It was shocking to learn later that she was the manager! we sat down to eat. We had reserved the table for 3.30. no one came with any menu's. after we searched the place we finally found some. when we went to order the food they had no beef or pork. When the person I was with pointed this out, we were met with a grunt and an extremely rude response. We should have left then. But I informed my party and they changed their order. We also asked if they could prepare a slice of cheese and toast for a child. They refused saying they didn't have a grill. When I spoke to my friend about the attitude and rudeness of the staff, I was challenged by the woman with bad attitude. When I told her that her response wasn't in anyway good customer practice, she told the bar staff to cancel my order and told me to leave. So our party of 7 left including two children. Never again will I set foot in this place. Apparently she is known for her bad attitude and some of the people when we were leaving said they were not surprised.

Excellent small, traditional, local style Public House serving real value quality pub grub and good beers. The feel of a village pub inside. Pay it a visit and have a change from the large, modern, new build pub. More pubs should be like this.
