It is always an amazing experience to have a meal at The White Hart at Fyfield! Food is delicious and members of staff are great!!!! Already looking forward to our next meal!!!

My bestie and I had a Sunday lunch at The White Hart at Fyfield today. She had the chicken whilst I had the pork. Both meals were excellent and we followed up with a sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake selection respectively for dessert. Again both were delicious. Service was first class. Our waitress, Aims, was efficient and friendly. The White Hart is not inexpensive. Our meal: 2 mains, 2 desserts, drinks, was £125 including the tip. 2 large glasses of wine cost £24 of this total. Despite the prices however we would go back. Thank you White Hart.

Excellent Sunday lunch, as ever. We had the beef, pork and veg presse as mains and each was fabulous.

Our 24th Anniversary. What a lovely restaurant. Stunning setting, great ambience and friendly greeting from Sarah. We enjoyed a beautiful slow roast pork belly with all the trimmings and we just couldn't fault it. Our starters too were excellent and light and deserts were to die for, especially the almond panacotta. We can't wait to come back. Everything freshly prepared and cooked so you do need to be prepared to wait on a Sunday. But it's definitely worth it.

Our second visit was just as fabulous as our last one, which was during the summer. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive and the building is stunning, so what’s not to like. We will definitely be back.

First time at the White Hart. Food outstanding. Staff outstanding. My husband and I will definitely be returning. Our only observation is to put a few more two’s together as we were drowned out a bit by tables of four around us.

As ever, a lovely experience at The White Hart. Food was top quality, beautifully presented in by a lovely ambient atmosphere that felt very festive. Service was attentive and very polite.

We arrived to a warm welcome, service was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. But above all, the food was amazing, delicious and full of wonderful flavours. Everything was perfect for our wedding anniversary celebration. An anniversary card from Mark, Kay and all at The White Hart was such a lovely touch. Thank you everyone at The White Hart for making our special evening so ….“special”.

We visited for the sunday roast and had the pork and the chicken. The food was well prepared, well presented and very tasty. The crackling on the pork was unusual being like a long straw sized piece very gastro! The pork doesn’t come with yorkshire. Side veg were lovely and portions were well sized, £35 wasn’t a stupid price but would say its top end for what you get. Kids roasts at £12 are very good value. Pub is very comfortable, staff were attentive and food was served pretty quickly

We came in for lunch on Saturday with our very wet dog, and felt very welcome and looked after. Staff were very friendly and the food was amazing! We will definitely make the effort to return soon. Thank you

We had a fabulous dinner at The White Hart. We were hosting friends visiting from Australia and they were impressed by the high quality of the food and the atmosphere. The service was also excellent. Our only minor complaint would be the high volume conversations (at times bordering on shouting) on the adjacent table which made conversation at our table difficult on occasion. But despite this our dinner was at the very top end for a village pub.

Both ate three courses from the set menu, all were superb the chicken terrine starter was truly exceptional.

Absolutely exceptional. We’re still buzzing! The food was outstanding. Really delicious combinations of flavours and cooked to perfection. We had the set lunch menu which was great value. What really blew us away, however, were the precautions and guidance they took to cater for my nut allergy. Many thanks to the team who were very warm and welcoming. We’re already planning another lunch!

The food was outstanding. It was beautifully presented and more importantly was delicious. The menu had a lot of original and interesting dishes so we'll be back soon! The service was fantastic. The young man who served us had attention to detail and a friendly and thoughtful manner with out being overly familiar, which a tricky balance but he achieved it.

We had a fantastic lunch. It was hard to choose what to eat, as everything on the menu sounded tempting. Our food perfectly cooked and really delicious. The staff serving us couldn’t have been more helpful. Such a treat - looking forward to next time already!

Awesome Sunday Roast, excellent 6x Ale, Staff exceptional We felt spoilt, we both chose the Roast Belly Pork ( Locally sourced) followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding... Cheese & Biscuits polished off with a Large Glass of Pinot Noir...

A new venue for us and it didn’t disappoint. The food, ambience and the service was vey good and we enjoyed the whole meal.

Always delicious food which looks amazing too. We sat in the bar area which was a bit noisy - would have preferred to be in the restaurant area but dinner was just as good as always.

This is a place to eat like no other in this area. Friendly, attentive, competent service; exquisite, innovative food; nice wine selection. We ate there at least five times and always excellent. Thanks to the White Hart!

I ordered from the dinners club menu and found the food of good quality and presented well, but the portion size was very small. The staff were very attentive and the service and ambiance excellent.

We were disappointed by our meal today, having ordered from the standard evening menu. We were especially disappointed by our starter and main courses which were far below the standard expected for the price and reputation of the White Hart; the monkfish bourguignon was - whilst technically well presented - lacking in flavour with the limited sauce overwhelmed by a large slab of otherwise unflavoured fish. The vegetarian dish one of us ordered was small and underwhelming, more the size of a starter than a main. On the positive side, we did think the dessert was excellent - unusually good, with components well designed and balanced - and the wine very well selected.

Was told about this resturant by a friend. I went in with no expectations. The food was delicious and plentiful. I would have even been happy with half the portion of fish for the main. I will definitely go back again, even if just popping in for the starters alone. The waitress was very friendly. The building was beautiful and I liked the quirky pictures.

A location with great ambience, great food and great service. The Roast Beef is to die for and the horse radish sauce is the hottest in the Cotswolds What’s not to like!!!

If you have not visited then add this place to your list. We booked a table for 2 during the Sunday Lunch service. Hands down one of the nicest lunches I’ve eaten out. You will want to try everything on the menu.

Exceptional food as always. The food here never fails and I genuinely cannot fault the menu, quality of ingredients, presentation, flavours….need I go on?! The staff are friendly, efficient and informative. Probably one of the best pub/restaurants in Oxfordshire

Lovely welcome and acknowledgment of our special evening by the proprietor. Thoughtful table in the corner where we could appreciate the delightful interior and other diners thoroughly enjoying themselves! Lovely quality table setting ie napkins, cutlery and glassware. Excellent nibbles, enormous juicy fish and chips all brought to us by attentive staff. We had to leave to run and catch the bus but they ran after us with a complimentary brownie each with an iced ‘happy anniversary!’ plate and one truly British candle which we blew out in the car park! We smiled all the way home!

First time to come to the white heart, good parking, nice atmosphere. Menu changed from on line menu but I was ok with it. Had the chicken wings which were fantastic, cured salmon also good. Shared a chateaubriand rare. Looked great, sauces were just a small pot of pepper an a small pot of bearnaise. Had to ask for more but was no problem, the chateau was a push towards mr by the time we got it a could have done with more seasoning as no seasoning on table to add ( didn’t ask in fairness as I am sure they have!) Having said that it was still a great meal. Highly recommended

The food was nice, but I wouldn’t say it was Michelin star standard. The service was terrible, very slow, just little things like asking if we would like a any more drinks, also felt rushed when ordering food, then couldn’t get anyone’s attention, when we needed anything, overall not the best in my opinion, I could think of some rather nicer places to eat with a better atmosphere.

Bar very lively and restaurant pretty full on our arrival but we were greeted immediately and taken to our table. Our wine preference was not on the Wine List but when asked our preferred wine choice it was provided. Food was absolutely delicious, couldn't manage a Dessert but had the Chef's choice of after dinner cocktail instead Jaffa Tini, it was fabulous 😋

Amazing food in terms of textures, presentation, creativity and flavour. The quality of food and service were consistent throughout the evening. The meal sizes were perfect, which meant we had room for nibbles, and three courses but didn’t go home starving. We had made a request for the occasion, which was accommodated too. Will definitely be back!

Menu interesting and food delicious but portions small.

Food was overall very good with th eexception of the chicken supreme which was a little disappointing. The chicking was a little dry (overcooked) and the sauce was more like a thin stock /gravy. Despite this the flavours were ok. All other food was excelent. Service was good but our waitress constantly addressed each of as "darling, lovely, my darling, my duck etc" it was way over the top and over familar, none of us liked it but we did appreciate she was trying to be friendly and helpful but we all found it extremely irritating and far too over familiar. She really needs to tone it down, she was perhaps trying too hard to be nice.

Can’t recommend The White Hart enough. The food was outstanding, as was the service. Ambience and feel of the place is great too. A, somewhat, hidden gem that we will definitely be frequenting from now on.

Dry pork belly, like it was cooked for 1h, same with steak. Generic starters, we were dissapointed. Update: We would have shared our experience in person, but the manager who picked up the plates didn’t ask anything about the whole steak left on the plate. That was unexpected, and we were left speechless.

Great atmosphere and food. Staff most helpful and accommodating with late changes to booking. Strongly recommended but can be slow on busy Sundays.

Excellent selection on the menu. Helpful and patient staff. Presentation of the food beautiful and the food itself delicious. Not cheap but very good value for a meal par excellence.

We had excellent food in a beautiful setting. However, we asked for someone who knew the wine list and the person who helped us did not have any knowledge of wines and suggested a French wine which we subsequently discovered was a Shiraz varietal when we had requested dry and not fruity. It was disappointing to pay 65 pounds for a wine we did not like. Please hire a wine expert or serve a limited selection of wines which your servers (or menu) can adequately describe.

Amazing food and have returned many times. As a family we have to deal with allergies (nut allergy and a coeliac) and the chef has always been able to accommodate us. 100% recommended

The maitre was absolutely wonderful right through our time we spent at the restaurant The food was delicious and we had a most enjoyable time having Sunday lunch together with our friends. 10 out of 10! My only suggestion would have been to supply steak knives to cutup the wonderfully rare roast beef!

Pleasant lunch for four. Service was a bit slow, but a good selection of wines and three real ales made the wait for food more bearable. We were expecting great things as friends had highly recommended The White Hart. What we got was good and occasionally very good and we’d certainly go back.

Lovely pub with beautifully cooked food. We were seated in the upstairs area, which sadly lacked atmosphere - but downstairs looked really nice. I would say it is on the pricey side for a gastropub - Sunday lunch for a family of four came to just over £200 (with no alcohol).

Lucky to choose a beautiful day - to sit in the garden. Food, drink service and discussion were excellent. Our coffee was quite delayed so that was taken from bil.

A delightful, delicious lunch, in a lovely , old pub. Been meaning to visit for a while. We were not disappointed! Starter of tomatoes, basil mousse and bocconcini was fresh- tasting with a bright, basil-pesto flavour. The texture of the mousse with the little balls of mozzarella and tiny croutons : gorgeous. Cured salmon starter was equally good. The dill crème fraiche and crispy capers: fab. The chicken supreme with truffle was delicious. Really tasty chicken breast and sauce, with depth of ‘chickeny’ flavour. A dessert of doughnut, strawberry sorbet and a delicate, baked elderflower custard not only looked beautiful, it was delicious, and not too sweet. Thank you.

Nibbles, starters and mains were delicious. Pudding was a very dry profiterole 😢. Despite it being a very busy night for them we felt a bit rushed through our food - there was exactly 4 minutes gap between our starters and mains. Having said those things there was a wedding and a large party on the night we visited and I wonder if that had some bearing on it. Overall I would recommend- we will certainly visit again. The venue is beautiful and the service very attentive.

Delicious food, a beautiful building and lovely friendly staff! We had a wonderful evening at The White Hart as always – it's one of our favourite places to go out for a meal.

The meal tonight was more delicious than ever before and before the meals were fabulous. This is our favourite place to dine because the location is delightful, food is exquisite and the service is second to none and delivered by a family of a well trained front of house team. We dine in many excellent establishments but The White Hart just keeps delivering at the top level.

Hits the mark every time, in every aspect. Robbie's service was great. Thanks for the recommendation of the lemon sherbet cocktail, delicious!

Our first visit. We will be back. There were 6 of us and we had a wide range of items. All 3 courses were outstanding. Unusual dishes tasted delicious. thank you very much. A most enjoyable visit.

We had arranged for an anniversary dinner with our daughters after previous great experiences. It did not disappoint. We had a lovely card waiting for us on the table with best wishes for our anniversary and a surprise celebratory mini dessert to end. The food and service in between was impeccable. Our favourite go-to for any special occasion.

Well looked-after on an anniversary visit with a personal card and candle plate. Beautifully presented, interesting and tasty meal. Light airy room with quirks- large portrait of stag-headed admiral!
