Well looked-after on an anniversary visit with a personal card and candle plate. Beautifully presented, interesting and tasty meal. Light airy room with quirks- large portrait of stag-headed admiral!

Great food as always, sat outside in the covered area which was very nice and not breezy. Service a little slow but didn't spoil a lovely evening

This White Hart is a beautiful country pub with delicious high quality food. Everything is cooked to perfection and very well presented. The staff are friendly and efficient creating a v welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The young waiters on Saturday evening deserve a special thanks for being so friendly and helpful making it a delightful evening out.

One of our favourite places to dine. The menu is varied and our favourite of slow-cooked belly pork is always on the menu. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It was our 55th wedding anniversary and a personal card was awaiting us. We are returning with the family next week for another family birthday celebration.

Always a pleasure to visit the lovely White Hart at Fyfield and to be warmly greeted by owner Kay and her very efficient Team.

Booking was really easy and was confirmed by text and email. Table was nice. Molly was our server and was very friendly and very efficient. The sharing platters were very delicious and main courses all outstanding. The main course took quite a long time which wouldn't have usually been an issue except that we had a taxi coming half an hour after the main courses were served. Beside that we had a very pleasant evening in a beautiful location and will definitely revisit in the future.

Our midweek lunch at the White Hart to celebrate a wedding anniversary was among the most enjoyable meals we've had for some time. Admittedly the odds were stacked in our favour by the beautiful sunny weather and the fact that it was a relatively quiet time of the week, but the level of service (informal, unobtrusive, helpful and attentive) was outstandingly good. At a table outside, shaded by trees and a large parasol, we enjoyed the portobello mushroom tatin and marinated tomatoes, both super-tasty, to start, with a selection of very fresh breads and colourfully pretty whipped butter with beetroot and roasted tomatoes. Mains were ricotta-stuffed courgette flower and a spectacular slow-roasted pork belly. Excellent, fairly reasonably priced wines throughout. I managed to find room for a rum baba. Warm thanks to all involved for making our visit so perfectly memorable.

A sunny lunch outside with a friend. Such a lovely ambience. Once again the set lunch menu offered treats. A crispy salty deep fried squid. Yummy. Flat iron steak, beautifully charred and pink with proper chips. Then a tangy posset with pineapple. All washed down with a good red. Love my lunches at The White Hart 💕

Food was delicious with good size portions. The sticky toffee pudding is a must! Staff were very friendly and personable. Little on the pricey side but by no means extortionate. Lovely venue for a Sunday lunch!

Fantastic place. We are lucky to live fairly locally and come here often for celebrations. The food is always excellent, as is the service. The dining area inside is beautiful, although this time we ate outside in the garden marque which has also been done very nicely. It was a little noisy this time as there was a big group of 17 including some fairly excited children dining at the same time, but it didn't detract from a lovely evening.

As always had the best time at the Hart enjoying the Euros. So sad we didn't win but we had a great time being together in such a great atmosphere. All the team at the Hart are so welcoming and friendly. The foods good too! What more could you want from a proper local... great drinks, great company, lots of laughs and lovely food!

A lovely dining experience. Every mouthful was delicious. This is a big step up from the fare which has become standard at 'gastro-pubs'. Service is excellent. We were lucky to be there for Sunday lunch when it was not too busy, and sat outside in the very pleasant covered dining area. For those who value market produce carefully prepared and beautifully served, you will not be disappointed. I think it was excellent value for money. The desserts were particularly good and beautifully presented. No hesitation in recommending.

We are regular diners at the White Hart, Fyfield, but usually go for Sunday lunch. This time we had an early dinner outside on a week day. It was fabulous. A great menu, mouthwatering food for each course, with an outstanding pudding: a lavender pannacotta with strawberry arctic roll, fruit gel and meringue. SO incredible. The service is always attentive without being oppresive and the ambience is delightful.

The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. It was the birthday of one of us and they provided a nice birthday card and two cookies with a candle - a nice touch.

Fantastic evening to celebrate my birthday yet again as we continue to come back here for special occasions, anniversary, Christmas but also for one off night outs. We had our wedding reception here 9 years ago and so it’s very special to us but in all honesty it’s continued to excel over the years and the quality of service and food is amazing. Mark and Kay offer premium hospitality and exceptional food with flavours that truly get your tastebuds tingling. Couldn’t recommend it anymore really. I’m sure we will be back later this year too. Thanks so much from two very happy ongoing returning customers!!

Good tables and good space - no feel of crowding though well filled in the restaurant part for the lunch we had. Soup wasn’t special but tasty - the pork as main was perfect -the bartered fish was a bit underdone. Overall thoroughly enjoyed a gentle paced lunch.

Such a perfect afternoon we enjoyed yesterday. Everything was amazing, the food outstanding! (as always) the Orangery was beautiful and the service by Molly unparalleled. Very attentive and observant. Molly not only has a very pleasant and bubbly personality but happy to have a laugh and banter with customers too. We celebrated 2 special anniversary’s yesterday and everyone had an amazing time. We love the White Hart, its staff, food and ambiance! Amazing meal as always, great staff, great atmosphere

Unfortunately it was a busy evening and we were taken to our table late despite arriving early. We then had to wait 45 mins for our starters to arrive. Food was excellent as always but a lot of items unavailable because they were so busy.

A characterful inn in a quiet village just off the A420 between Oxford and Swindon. The place was gorgeous. It had plenty of parking. The food was superb. If you're after "pile it high. As much as you can eat" then steer clear. This is quality dining with wonderful presentation. Delicious food. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and efficient. The general ambiance of the place was great.

Although setting is nice and staff are lovely it was a strange meal… neither of us really wanted to eat anything on the menu. I know pizza is sometimes aLao available but that doesn’t work for everyone. Perhaps some specials? Also prices are not quite justified I’m afraid.

Went here for a birthday meal, a cute birthday card was left on the table and some free brownies at the end which gave it a really nice touch, the food was impecable as always, I go here every year on Christmas Eve with my family so once again it didn’t disappoint, atmosphere is always lovely, local pub vibes with 5 star quality food!! The service was so good, very attentive but not over the top, just perfect!! We had food in the orangery which I feel always adds a bit of extra ambience to the dinner!

Delicious food in a lovely building with a good friendly atmosphere. Much more relaxed than it was a few years ago. My only quibble is that I wasn’t allowed to order an item from the fixed menu separately- not because it wasn’t available, but because it wasn’t on the computer system to know what to charge. I was prepared to pay the amount required.

Excellent food which was very well presented. Also the building is wonderful set in a quintessential Oxfordshire village. One enhancement over our previous visit is that the vegetable patch next door looks like it might be providing veg to the pub this summer.

My husband and I dined at the White Hart on the weekend to celebrate his 40th Birthday, with 5 friends. The food, atmosphere, and service were all fantastic. Our friends all kept saying what a wonderful choice of venue it was, and that we'll be back. My husband was made a fuss of and even given a Birthday card! My only constructive feedback would be that we were initially a bit rushed to make our food choices, with the waitress saying that the chef was demanding we make our order right away, and also my friend who has lots of allergies was promised a meal without a certain jus, but it was served with the jus, which she might have had a reaction to but thankfully didn't! Overall a really lovely place and definitely somewhere we'd come again!

Lovely local at Greenhill. Fab friendly staff, genuine home cooked food. Proper pub, with all the trimmings, ( quizzes, darts, live music, charity nights etc). A community hub welcoming a wide cross section of all ages. A true local.

Lovely wedding anniversary dinner - a lovely touch with a congratulations card from The White Hart on our table as we sat down. We were looked after so well by all of the staff from the initial welcome, to the barman whilst we sat waiting for our table (we were early) and the waiting staff ensuring we were happy and keeping the glasses topped up. A lovely relaxed atmosphere with exceptional food (the slow cooked pork belly was amazing). A beautiful setting and certainly a place to visit for a special occasion or just because you want a good meal. We sat inside, but looking outside was a nice area to sit under cover near the pizza oven. Thank you to The White Hart for making our 15th wedding anniversary a special and memorable evening. Special treat for a 50th birthday. We ate in the main part of the restaurant. Didn’t disappoint, nice atmosphere, tasty food. We had the mezze sharing boards for a starter, I would definitely recommend those.

A well presented and delicious three course dinner and very acceptable accompanying white wine. The White Hart team are welcoming, friendly , whilst being very professional. I commend this award winning gastro pub to anyone looking for a good location to dine on very tasty food. The location is delightful.

First time we have visited and very impressed. The food was very tasty and lots of attention to detail. Great use of local and seasonal produce on the menu. Varied menu with plenty of options. Great flavours and also very pretty on the plate. Staff friendly and attentive. Definitely going to visit again.

The menu changes with the season and although we go regularly there is always something exciting and new on the menu. It doesn't stop us ordering the pork though!

Wednesday evening supper club: probably the crispest and most delicious salt and pepper squid we’ve ever eaten, well cooked steaks and the chicken balllotine with wild garlic was also wonderful. All delivered with charm and elegance. Thank you!

Myself and my friends have become regulars at this venue. The new owner is brilliant and goes above and beyond for any requirements or needs . Staff are exceptionally polite and attentive even on busy periods. They often have great entertainment evenings with singers and we recently attended a race night. The food is 10/10 fresh hot and quick with a large variety to choose across the menu especially the Sunday lunch ! We would highly recommend the white hart if your looking for a social evening/ weekend or a nice quiet meal and drinks we will definitely stay as regulars.

We visited for Sunday lunch and enjoyed the three course option. Good portion sizes. A good mixture of clientele shows that the restaurant has as a good appeal. Only negative being that our starters was served, and finished, before our drinks had been delivered to the table. However, the staff were aware of this and kindly took our desserts off the bill. A nice touch and we would go back.

Really good service always. On this visit some of the vegetables, especially the roast potatoes, were not as good as we have had previously.
