Genting Club in Southampton

Nice, small/medium size Genting Casino. Very clean, friendly staff and good area for watching sport on large screen. Called in a few times during August to try the slots. On each occasion Casino appeared about 40% capacity in relation to players present to slots. However all slots that appeared to be available had a reserved card on screen preventing use. Where were all these people? Smoking break? Toilet break? At Bar? No none of these, observation revealed that the players were putting a reserved card on the screen whilst playing another!! I understand Casinos may be okay with this during quiet periods but this selfishness by the players is poor etiquette and does not allow others to experience the pleasure of the slots.

Visited here on 2nd June and Shauna was amazing!! Such a friendly customer focussed person who should be valued and promoted! We had a great time! Thanks Shauna!

The bar staff are very slow under pint you by giving you too much head on the pint had to explain how to pour a pint to your bar staff member. Get better bar staff.

Great place to spend a evening or day , the staff are great and plenty to do there. Would recommend to anyone in Southampton or anyone visiting the area. Plus food and drink is amazing here.

We went for breakfast, there were six of us. Michelle was very attentive bringing is two tables and extra chairs straight away. Teas and coffee's were within minutes. We are members in Sheffield, so decided to book for a meal whilst in Southampton. We couldn't believe the price! A two-course meal including a £5 gaming chip, for £9.95p. Plus a bottle of house wine was only £8. The three of us ordered the meal and the wine and although the price was cheap, the food was excellent. More especially, the staff were so friendly and attentive. Then we won in the casino. A night to remember!

Always have a great time here. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Always a good atmosphere. Will be coming back again.

What can i say? This place is brilliant. There was 13 of us that had a meal from the Farenheit Restaurant within the Casino. We pre ordered the food which was a great idea, the food was 3 courses for £11.95 and a £10 bet in the casino was also included. The food was perfect, we had no issues, all was brought out at the same time and was hot. There was plenty of choice from the 3 courses and everyone in our party was extremely happy with their choices. After the food we all went into the casino, it is very clean and is a brilliant atmosphere. All the staff in both the restaurant and casino couldn't do enough for us, they were so friendly and helpful, which is quite rare these days. We will be visiting here again real soon, I would definitely recommend people go here for a good evening of food and fun!!!

The roast pork was tasteless 3 minuscule slices!!! Frozen roast potatoes just like the Christmas meal absolutely atrocious!! Myself and my friends are regulars at this casino we eat there at least once or twice a week, but we are soooo disappointed we are now thinking of going to other casinos in Southampton. Please take note!!.!

Like everyone mentions, when you buy a 2 or 3 course meal you get free bets to play with so it turns out to be an inexpensive place to eat. Staff are friendly enough, restaurant is clean and the food was surprisingly very tasty if not a little bit slow in coming out. Overall it was nice and we would definitely book again.

This place does 2 courses for 10pound with a 5 pound free bet, and 3 courses for 12pound with a 10 pound free bet. No brainer! The food was actually quite nice, but service slow as it is not very busy at all. Good cheap night out and chance to win your money back on the tables! Very small casino, but all the staff are very friendly and happy to help and explain everything. Will definitely go again.

Festive food excellent in an enclosed area away from gambling tables and slots. Bar with sitting area and dance floor. Croupiers explained games before playing. Excellent night. Tables get very busy as time goes on, thus adding to the atmoshere. Would go again. Remember it is easy to loose money, so only gamble what you can afford to loose.

Came here for the Motown Town night (Shola Kaye was booked), and what a brilliant night it turned out. Firstly this is a wonderful venue, modern and very comfortable(I always thought Casinos were crusty, but proved v wrong here, this is a good nighttime destination). Good entertainment, lovely staff, food pretty good (they have sweet potato fries!) , and drinks cheap. And open late. Heaven!

After an excellent dining experience at the weekend a few weeks back, myself and a mate thought we would give their mid week meal deal a go. Excellent value for money £12.95 for three courses or 10.95 for two. It also came with a free £10 bet for the tables! Calamari starter was very nice. For mains I had the pork belly which was lovely as was the bannofee waffle dessert. Drinks were also reasonably priced, especially considering its a casino in the centre of town and I tried a cocktail which was made very well. The staff were very attentive, especially considering how busy the restaurant was that evening and I can't fault the service. There is free parking at the casino but if that is full then you can park in the street for free after 8pm and I think it costs £2 to park in the street from 6pm til 8pm.Thank you to all the staff, I look forward to coming back to try your Christmas menu.

I went to the Genting Club for a meal with friends on Sunday evening. We had a lovely evening. The atmosphere was pleasant, the steak I had was cooked perfect and a good price too! We also had loads of fun on the tables afterwards :)

On arrival at the casino, the security staff were very efficient and welcoming. The receptionists were equally helpful and quickly provided membership to access the venue. The atmosphere in the casino was very friendly and there was a good distinct split between the bar/ dance floor area and the tables allowing multiple options for entertainment in the club. Despite my luck not being quite what I would have liked, I left the venue having had a pleasant evening and having been very well looked after by the staff throughout. Highly recommend this establishment.

nowhere to go for drinks after dinner so dropped in for their super cheap drinks. membership is free that's a bonus too.

Myself and a party of 18 went there for my nephews birthday mealThe menu we chose was the one for a 3 course meal for £12 and you also receive a £10 chip to play on the tables!..The food i chose was (starter) mozzarella cheese sticks and a dip (wanted more!)..Crispy and hot!. and for the main i had crispy cod and chips served with peas with hollandaise sauce and for dessert i had ice cream profiteroles ..All in all very delicious food!..And i won money with the £10 chip they gave me!All in all a perfect evening served fast and efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. DO NOT EAT HEAR,The food was awful, the starters were cold, main course ribeye steak was off and overcooked. When we complained only offered 25 percent off bill and a free drink! I will be reporting this place to environmental health as I have been sat on the loo after eating and now at home. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Went to a hen party here and had a small section cornered off for us. The venue itself was clean and had a good atmosphere but as the night went on there was so much noise it was very difficult to have any kind of conversation below shouting volume and the drinks where quite expensive and the bar service was very slow. However the staff were generally very pleasant.

We have been coming to this place for many years and have eaten there on many occasions. I have never been disappointed with the food, it is always of a high standard as is the service. It is always nice to see Ken, who is a great asset to Genting and has been there many years.Thank you for yet another great evening.

This is the first time I've been here in about 6 months and I was thoroughly impressed. The food has always been tasty and good value but this time it was excellent. Everything was cooked perfectly and they have expanded the menu a little too. Towards the end of the meal there was some live entertainment and the croupiers were very helpful with teaching my wife how to play roulette.All in all, thoroughly enjoyable, good value, friendly staff and I'm thinking about bringing a group of friends for one of their special event evenings.

My first and last visit here was forgettable. Went with a group of people for a leaving party where we were promised a learning experience of one of the games . The his was included as part of a package along with a meal, X11 free bet and entertainment. Although the food was good the atmosphere was not and the clientele was quite surprising! Should have turned around when I first arrived to see fighting breaking out! Oh and the teaching of a game - never happened!

Popped in for a drink before meeting friends. Ended up staying there for 9 hours and 3 footy matches. (Euro's 2016)Lovely atmosphere and nice food.

First time for us.. though friends go often. The meal was a very long time arriving. Id ordered rare steak... it was just under well done.. so i sent it back.. everyone else had nearly finished eating when my meal came out again.... this time it was medium... couldnt be bothered sending it back again.. so perservered and chewed my way through.. everyone elses meal was okay.... expensive for the standard of food. Would go back to gamble and have a drink but not to eat.

My husband reserved a table for our wedding anniversary. The receptionist at the entrance seem quite unfriendly but every one at the restaurant especially Karolina was efficient and friendly. The food was delicious and we'll presented. Thank you for the nice bottle of red wine chosed by Karolina.We will definitely come back but we would avoid the receptionist at the entrance...!!!

We went with two lots of friends for New Year's Eve the food was excellent the service was excellent even know the restaurant was packed it had a really good atmosphere and the group was excellent and a nice finishing touch with a glass of champagne at midnigh Will definitely go again thank you all for your hard work chris & roy xx

4 of us celebrating birthdays.We asked to get our table early as there we no seats for a drink by the bar.Staff happy to let us very friendly.We were slow ordering as we were chatting not a problem for waiters.We all enjoyed our food and had a very pleasant time.We would return maybe better luck gambling next time.

I found the general theme in the club quite impersonal and unfriendly. The drinks were expensive and some of the other punters less than desirable!

Great staff very friendly havent eaten there yet but told bybfriends its very good...roullette can be very adictive

We didn't eat but did have a drink and a flutter. There are enough roulette tables to accommodate everyone and although I lost my stake my wife doubled hers. The drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was good. The reason for a 5/5 rating is the Elvis impersonator - he was outstanding. There is a small stage at the back where he was belting out all Elviss classics and a few I hadn't heard before. There were a number of people on the dance floor and one guy who was well into the songs - he joined Elvis on stage at one point and got a massive round of applause. We won't be back in Southampton in the near future but I hope Elvis keeps them rolling in.

Good food, good wine. I did the 2 course meal for £9-95, I lobbed in a bottle of wine for £8 and enjoyed it extremely, will be going back in the very near future.

Long story short, had my Long Island Ice Tea done with a shot of Tequila and a half a shot of Gin, all shaken with Coke. Shaker almost exploded. I just laughed. Give that boy more training.Overall a nice place in Southampton, good customer service and the most important it is the only lounge opened until 4am every day!

Been here a few times and always had the same- polite staff, safe environment and a happy atmosphere. Not too expensive drinks wise and the food is very good. Will Be back.

Place was quiet only one other table of people in the restaurant, weird atmosphere in the place in general, my boyfriend has soup and steak which were both nice, I had calamari which was nice but I ordered the steak burger with sweet potato fries and the burger wasn't cooked properly and the fries were cold, and the wine was warm!!! but due to this being a gift which was fully paid for I didn't want to complain, overall I had a bad experience and probably won't return however my boyfriend was happy

the place was packed to the rafters with customers in trainers and football shirts, drunk groups of men looking for trouble.this was once quite a select club but now it would seem they let anyone in....even witnessed people joining on the door, when i joined you had to be checked and it took a few days.we wont be coming back that's for sure.

We are not regulars at the casino but generally every other month we will go in for a meal, and then have a little flutter. The meal deal offered by the restaurant is always good value. Ok if you are looking for fine dining then this it isn't but if you want a well cooked meal for a reasonable price you can't go wrong. We usually do the two course meal deal, and to be honest we have rarely been disappointed (only once when the staff weren't going to substitute the Sweet Potato fries for chips, until we threatened to leave) the price is good and the free £5 bet is worth a tenner in anyone's book, and pay the extra couple of pounds for the three course meal which gives you a £10 free bet is always well worth it.

The food here pretends to be fine dining but overall it's not very impressive. I normally come here with friends at Christmas and have a meal.The food is ok but bland, it fills a hole basically. There are local places to hear that will do 10 times better and for less. At New Years I asked for a chicken sandwich. Four small sandwiches came out and looked like they'd been cut by a six year old with a plastic knife and the waitress charged me £9.50 for them!Save your money and eat elsewhere or head to the casino at Leisure World for quality food.

I think this restaurant is very good the food is very good service was fine we are here the other night with friends have been coming to this casino for 30 years on and off and I still enjoy it very much and we are back next month to see you all Chris and roy

My sisters and a few friends visited last night to celebrate a birthday. The staff were excellent, excellent service and were really friendly. The three course meal was lovely, but a few of us chose the Belly of Pork and were expecting crackling on the pork, so really disappointed that there was nt any!

Ordered a med rare steak got it well done . Sent back . New steak came back when the rest of my party finishing meal about 15 min ,we were the only ones in restaurant. Spoke to manageress. Didn't give a toss . Won't be paying bill and will be speaking to casino manager

My girlfriend & I decided that we would visit the Casino and therefore chose to dine there first.Sarah phoned and booked a table for 2000 hrs which was promptly confirmed via email so we both got ready for our evening meal. Parking can be quite difficult but the food is excellent and once we had parked the car in the last remaining space we decided to enter the casino for our evening out. We both chose Calamari for our starters which was followed by Chicargo chicken for myself and Tortallini as our main courses chocolate fudge cake and ice cream for dessert. Gentings is a fun place to visit because not only can you dine there but also have a flutter on the gaming tables.

I have just come back home from this Casino. It is late on a week night and I am feeling strong enough about my situation to get on the internet and write this review. I've been going here on and off for a few years. I've eaten the bar food a number of times, often while intoxicated, and was never majorly impressed but it is usually passable!I went in on my way home, enjoying the idea of eating in a nice relaxing casino atmosphere before going to bed. I went to the bar and ordered a Chicken Club Sandwich. The barman's English wasn't too great but he was nice enough and I had no reason to think it wouldn't turn up. I sat down and 20 minutes elapsed. This was not a busy night and they can usually do it in 5. I reminded the barman that I had ordered and he snapped to attention and went to inquire. I heard a bit of shouting coming from the restaurant area. Most in thick foreign accents. There appeared to be an issue over the receipt and whose job it was to make my sandwich. The barman approached me again and asked if I still wanted it. I confirmed. He disappeared.I saw another female staff member carry some bread through the casino to the far end and wondered if that was connected to my dilemma. Another 10-15 minutes drifted by and I approached the bar and asked a different barman if he had seen a sandwich making its way towards the area. He had not. In fairness the best example of customer service experienced during this episode is the receipt of some free crisps - after I prompted him. This barman then went to check on how my sandwich was.The staff were nice enough but that was about it. Minutes later I was presented with the offering. On first look there were no fries and no bacon. I was about to raise another query in respect of this but then some fries arrived, with more crisps as well. Great, carb loading I thought. How unexpected. Feeling a bit resentful about being turned into the complainer guy, and having waited over half an hour by now, I thought I would make do without the bacon. I peeled it open. I took a look at it. I don't know which 'club' would want to associate itself with this sandwich. It looked like a 1st year student’s meal at the end of a busy semester. The bread appeared to have acquired a lot of moisture from wherever it had been left out. Maybe from the accompanying salad which had lost a lot! But yet there were still area's on the grain that had burnt. Anyway, I took a look inside, there was a lot of partially melted cheese. Not nice cheese. This was cheap package stuff that had been thrown on there in abundance and half melted onto the crying bread. There was some little sardine seized strips of chicken but I could not identify a flavor over the dough/dairy ensemble that encased it. No bacon not that it would have made much difference. By the time I had eaten through some of the fries and crisps I was starting the develop blisters from salt overload. In hind sight I should have taken it back. But again, I didn’t want to be the complainer guy, and I was kind of on the back foot from wondering how someone could make a sandwich this bad. The gravity of it almost didn’t register. I decided not to put any money through the table and was already starting to feel a bit sick when I got up. As I left I thought I better at least say something to someone. The girl on the front desk looked pretty bored but I had no other option. I approached and asked if the regular chef was on tonight. She looked at me like I was the biggest fool on earth and replied that they have the same chefs every night. Feeling a little frustrated by the whole experience I was perhaps more direct then I should have been. I said that I wasn’t one to complain but the sandwich was really bad (in maybe stronger words). She looked at me and said “you had a sandwhich!?”… As if I should have gone for the sirloin and known better!!!! I nodded in steady disbelief. Then she attempted to offer an explanation. Apparently the chefs don’t make the sandwiches, the valets do! Ohhhhh….. right, well silly me, that explains it clearly! Now its all ok then, surely?! I shouldn’t have said anything and just ordered a double scotch. Not wanting to get sucked into the inevitable one way conversation of having to explain to someone in a front of house customer service role what their job actually is, I simply fast tracked around her monosyllabic responses and said that whoever made it, the sandwich was bad (stronger words) and if the valet cared about that she should let him know at least. Constructively, and so as to avoid further suffering.I went home. Disappointed. Then got on trip advisor and wrote this. I feel a little better now, emotionally. But I have a stomach ache. If it takes a turn for the worse I will write a supplement in the morning.

Casino part is fantastic. Food was great however the staff were slow and not very welcoming (2 older males). They continued to be confused with orders (already pre-ordered!!!!!)There was however one girl Sandra who was pleasant and smiling.

14 of us in for dinner. The casino part was excellent, the food was delicious, atmosphere good and very clean and appealing, however, 2 male waiters on sat night just there ruined it with slow service, no smiles, no real want to even serve us our dinner.Like I said above, the place was very good but due to the terrible service, a poor review.

Went on a Thursday night for their excellent £11.95 three course menu deal. Also includes a £10 free roulette bet (tactic to make sure you visit the tables but excellent if you were going to anyway!) The food was excellent - and the portions were massive! I nearly had to throw the towel in on my caramel apple pie, following a sizeable gammon steak, preceded by soup. The service was friendly but a touch hit and miss, but we'll let them off because they had a raucous birthday party group to deal with. If you've never thought of eating in a casino before, do it! Decor and surroundings are just like a restaurant - you can't see the tables from the dining area so there's no noise crossover from the two.

We went on Sunday night with a group of friends. Love playing the poker tables and roulette. Had some late night snacks chicken burger cheesy chips etc lovely place to relax :-)

Had a good dinner , the table was very nicely decorated there was a live singer and disco and balloons at 12 just think a glasses of bubbly would have been nice will book 4 next year

Excellent food and excellent service with some decent entertainment while dining.The price was very fair as well.

If you are not sure about visiting a casino, Genting is a great place to start, friendly relaxed atmosphere even on a busy Saturday night, well worth a visit

A visit to the Genting Club in Southampton's old Terminus Railway Station proved to be a great treat. It is a Casino, but the strong focus of being a good social outlet was much in evidence. The delightful restaurant with a well arranged menu added to the joy of being there. The informal and unpretentious approach of the staff added to the enjoyment of the place. We even had a cabaret to liven the atmosphere. The food was really good and quite nourishing, as was the wine, and at a good price too. We didn't have time to engage in a little flutter on the tables as the meal was the highlight of the visit. And the coffee was free! This place is well worth a visit.

We eat here on a regular basis and have never had a bad meal. The menu is well priced, the food is well cooked and the staff are friendly and attentive, what more could you ask for!If you eat here on Friday or Saturday you also get free entertainment too, the drinks are not badly priced for the centre of town and as an absolute bonus you can get a full English breakfast from midnight.

The restaurant was busy so we had to wait a while for our food however we were kept informed of this and offered a free drink. Staff friendly and kept checking we were ok and had everything we needed. Food was nice enough when it came. I had the salmon which was tasty and friends said their steak was good.

We had our Xmas do here last night, well what a let down! Where I was sat was freezing cold, ? due to the air conditioning, we had to put our coats back on. The starter, duck pate, was almost tasteless, the main, turkey, was all processed meat and cold, didnt help that the accompanying veg didnt arrive till at least 15 minutes later! Dessert was supposed to be chocolate and hazelnut roulade, funny that, where was the chocolate? It tasted like bland meringue. Noone who ordered it ate it, it was so bad.The service was terrible, all confusion and no order. Staff were belligerent and getting impatient with us diners seemingly because we hadnt ordered what they were holding, (and that was only 1 item at a time!) I suppose I was lucky though as at least I got my meal, our companion had to wait 25-30 minutes longer than the rest of us as they had ran out of the dish she had ordered! Another till they were given a free glass of wine!! Big deal!! Then the entertainment started, all I can say is dont give up your day job cos whoever told you you could sing must be tone deaf! And soooo loud! Eventually people did get up to dance, predominantly women so then he decided to "slow it down"! Of course the floor then emptied again, do learn to play your audience. We were so dissapointed and will never return and advise others to do the same. Also how come it was advertised as a 3 course meal for £19.99 and we had to pay£25??
