Really tasty dishes. Lots of chicken in our Biryani, delicious Onion Bhajis too. Nice one!

This is the second time we have been here in the past 2 months and have been more than happy with the food and the service. The rice portion was half the size to the previous time we came, which is fine but we only ordered one tonight as was expecting it to be bigger like last time and not wanting to waste it but could have done with slightly more this time. Plenty of chicken in both our curries, definitely an improvement on last time. They have a set menu Sunday to Thursday for £14.95 which includes poppadoms, starter, main and a side (rice, chips or naan) And a mint chocolate with the bill, If your happy to leave a review you can get extras of these! Staff are always very welcoming and friendly. Try it for yourself, and don't forget to take your own alcohol!

We have used this restaurant to order takeaway for years. It has recently been taken over and is under new management. The last few orders have been mediocre to say the least...and not a keen fan of lots of Ghee/oil floating on the top of a curry. Tonight I decided to order a combination of starters to avoid the curry. Big mistake. The chicken Pakora was disgusting! It was so hard I could not get a fork through it. The chicken was so hard and brown....goodness knows how many times it had been re-heated! I rang them to complain ...........I got a "thank you"....I informed them that we will not be ordering from them again.

Since reopening, our delivered curries have been swimming in grease, so much grease that it leaks into the bag. We hoped things would improve but it's no better. The chicken pakora we ordered today was simply disgusting, brown, hard pieces of chicken. They've lost our custom.

I'm hoping this is a one off because normally it's lovely food. Ladt night however they only had diet or zero coke,a big no no for us. After the usual poppadoms the starter I ordered was like swallowing the dead sea water . Omg salty was not the word. Come on guys get it together. A recent trip to the coast was the same, dry meat and way too salty so I was reluctant to wait for my main thinking this may be the same. I paid for drinks and left, very frustrated. Why are so many Indians lately full of salt.

Love the mango chicken I had last time. But this time under new management we had onion bajhi starter and mixed kebab starter, prior to that, the pickle tray n poppadoms, omg the red coconut one yummy. For main I had keema rice, Malsyan chicken curry and peshawari naan, my partner had keema naan chips n chicken tikka madras. We'd heard it was open but for takeaway only, so we ordered, then half hour later my mate came in said ooh no their doing dine in now, so re rang changed the order to dine in. Defo come back as the service was amazing. Welcome back GR. Xxxx A couple of months down the line thought yey let's go for a curry. This time very disappointed. Only coke zero or diet coke, a big no no we do normal coke. Had the usual pickle tray n poppadoms the red dry stuff, coconut I think was a no no, were as before it was yummy. The starter I had was a chana puri, omg I couldn't eat it, it was way too salty. Having recently had Indian elsewhere and experienced saltiness I wasn't prepared to wait for my meal fearing that too was salty and I'd waste my money, so we paid up and very frustrated, left. Get your act together guys. We don't like salt.

Have ordered from here a few times but tonight we were disappointed, the curries were all sauce which was thin and not much chicken also all the food stacked ontop of one another so the currie containers were squashed and leaked everywhere, taste wasn't up to the usual standard either

Had a sit down meal here on Wednesday night. Couldn’t recommend more. Service was amazing and food was delicious. What more could you ask for.

Food was lovely. But could have been slightly hotter - the pickles were fantastic. The balti was tasty and perfect spice level (mid). Popadoms were warm and light, very fresh.

Very very average food. Naan bread was really sweaty, onion bhaji tasted like oil and curry was tasteless even for a chicken tikka masala. Delivered on time and reasonable price - but not the best for Leicester.

It has been a while since we ordered from GR but glad we did. Food was delivered in the middle of the expected slot, it was hot and tasted great. I now know that having a Jeera was a bit too much for me, 🔥

Food was amazing but one of my Garlic Naans was missing.

Bit of a letdown. Order arrived cold and incomplete. Most dishes 80% sauce. Food was a bit bland as well. Wouldn't use them again.

Salad with biryani was 2 soggy cucumber slices and 1 lemon slice, company shouldn't even put it in the dish description. Ordered £25 and had no free extras for the order like other places do. Food was generally ok, nothing special.

Ordered on line for a takeaway to be delivered item never turned they even denied receiving an order from us yet still took payment would never order from them again

Ordered online through their website and paid by card. The order never arrived phoned them up and they couldn't find the order. They took the payment yet never delivered the food, would never use them again and would advise you to keep clear. Hopefully we can get the payment back through the bank. These are just a bunch of con artists.

Just a puddle of oil and mess. Food was very hot, that was not the issue, it had bland tastes to it. Way it was cooked was not for me.

Order arrived 15 minutes after the later estimate. Food was luke warm, so had to be heated in the microwave. Stodgy, bland dish I'm afraid.

We have ordered many times from here and never had an issue up until the past few orders. Food arrived luke warm, hardly any meat in the dishes, all sauce. Disappointedly now looking for a new Indian restaurant fix 😟

Generous raj not so generous! The food did not taste fresh. It was poorly presented and extremely oily. When it was delivered the bag was full of oil that had leaked. Will not be ordering from them again the food was disappointing.

Food was on time but it was cold, pakora soggy, chips soggy, the nan bread must have been in the packet that long as it was slimy and cold!

Missing food late delivery called 11 times and no answer

Shame really food was cold missing chips tried calling numerous times to solve the issue but no one answered I don’t know too when ordering poppadoms you pay the price for 1 so make sure you order for how many you want

Tried this place for the first time tonight and shall be our last! Food came cold and was the wrong order. My partner ate the food reluctantly even though it wasn’t what he asked for as he was just too hungry. Bombay potatoes cold in the middle and had no taste. Keema biryani- dust Particles would have been bigger than the meat. Korma tasted sour. The sauce that came with the biryani looked congealed. Won’t be returning as we don’t have money to waste.

Our first time trying the food and was very disappointed with what we got. Restaurant got the order wrong, sent us a korma instead of a korai. The food was cold and the Bombay potatoes had no taste. My partner reluctantly ate the korma which he found to be sour and is now feeling poorly. I tried the korma too and would agree it tasted off. Keema byriani was the same, sauce looked congealed and tasteless. Won’t be trying again. Probably the worst we’ve had so far

Ordered 2 different chicken curry's but both tasted exactly the same with a lot of grease floating on the top also the poppadoms were very soft very disappointing

The food was great, finally I've found a restaurant that cooks their Malayan with pineapple instead of banana..... They loose 1 star though due to the poppadoms tasting funny, think they need to change the oil.

Badly let down. Ordered through just eat. The food did not arrive. Phoned to be told was on way. That was without the person answering the phone even asking name or delivery Address. Food was ordered 7.15 due for delivery 8.20. Got text saying it was on way. The just eat page actually showed the food as delivered. Then they said delivery 10.20 but nothing arrived at all and am.now struggling to get money back because of course money was taken.promptly. Avoid as it seems like take money and run.. Then lie about where food is. Avoid avoid avoid

The food is great - we've had two deliveries now and the quality is very consistent. Other reviews mention it being a little too sweet for them, and I can see how they might feel that but it's a fruity sweetness rather than an overly sugary one (we had vegetarian meals). The onion bhajis taste amazing (the onions are beautifully caramelised) but this is where we lose a star (if I could make it a half I would) because they could do with more draining to remove the excess oil (they are huge, though!). :)

Don’t like leaving bad feedback but…..the food was disgusting. Since when are shami kebabs sweet? So was the rest of the food. Someone gone nuts with the sugar tin in that place. Worse Indian I ever had. All went in the bin. Have you lot heard of spices? Don’t waste your money. Avoid!

Food was disgusting, most of it went in the bin. My partner ended up being violently sick. Will never use again. Do not waste your money, no way near the same standard of food you use to get.

Fantastic food. Note the portion sizes seem to be personal. We ordered a tika and rice to share but it came with 8 or 9 bits of chicken so keep that in mind. The flavour though is excellent I know next time to order two curries as it was exceptional

Fantastic experience. Ordered through just eat so quick and simple delivery and payment. The food came and the portion is a personal size which I didn’t expect but I will order again the quality of the food was exceptional and full of flavour. Food wasn’t tasty at all. No flavours. Looks like more focus has gone on making the food blood red rather than making it tasty. On top of that the food was 30 minutes late when the restaurant is only 1 mile away from me.

Food was good but the order arrived half hour early . My son had not arrived as he was travelling to see us . We ordered it to be here for just after his arrival.

Before ordering Just-Eat indicated delivery would take 40-50 mins. After ordering we were told it would take up to 1 hour 20 minutes. It actually arrived 1 hour 40 minutes after we ordered. Please just be honest about delivery times. What was meant to be a nice evening meal ended up being stressful.

Food was lovely but tandoori prawn starter only had 3 prawns for £5.50! Ridiculous price!

Disgusting. Everything was cold and starters were watery. Most paneer/chicken starters come with onions and peppers from other restaurants but these just had water. Chips were freezing. Chucked it all in the bin 😷

Really the worst tandoori king prawn I've ever had. The sauce was thin and weak, the amount and quality of the prawns was a joke - a small handful of tiny overcooked prawns for £11.50?! Literally unbelievable. The rest of the food was very average. Would not recommend.

Although the restaurant had to reschedule the delivery time of our meal, we've had the best meal cooked really nice and moist too, previous meals have turned up dry.

We waited an hour and a half for our food

Terrible service, not worthy of my business, would never step foot any where near this guys shop again.

Delivery over an hour late, 2 hours from when I ordered. No contact from the restaurant at all. 20 calls before I could get through only to be told there was an error receiving my order but knew when it should have been delivered and it would be another 30 minutes. Food was not very warm. Overall very poor. This was a special and rare treat for us to have a takeaway. Will not be using these again or Just Eat, very dissatisfied.

Ordered food at 1815 called at 1935 got told it was 10 mins away still not arrived at 2010 will not be ordering from there again!!!!!

Disappointed with quality and quantity. I dnt like leaving bad reviews but unfortunately had a delivery of 3 starter dishes and I was disappointed, food was barely warm, only sent 3 prawns phoned the restaurant and was told because its only a starter that's all you get. Sorry not worth money.

Food was freezing and turned up late

Disappointing service tonight. 3 items missing from the order when it arrived plus a collapsed curry dish at the bottom of the bag. Fair play they corrected the issue but 2 of them them when they arrived weren't fresh and were cold. Never had issues before but to get all the above wrong in one order is poor.

The food was so greasy when it arrived it had leaked out the containers into the bag which then stained the table mats and table cloth (which needed to be binned) add to the fact the food was late + wasn’t that great. Makes me think I shouldn’t order from here again. Although I have had a decent curry from here in the past

Food didn’t arrive as driver said he could not get to our address as a road was closed however there are many ways to drive into the village and after having waited 2 hours for our food to then be told this is unacceptable. Their customer service is very poor as all they seemed to care about was having to pay the driver again to deliver what would then be cold food. I do not recommend this take away and will not be ordering from them again.

As a new customer we were quite disappointed the Food wasn’t very warm and the tikka Masala was watery and not much flavour. If I hadn’t ordered popadoms we wouldn’t have had any at a guess. Definitely will go elsewhere 3 out of 10

Don't waste your money. Cold, stale food. Half of order missing. Delivery driver rude. Better off getting a ready meal from Asda. Unsure if they have changed owners/chefs. Will not be ordering from here again!!

Very bad experience! Ok ill start of by giving them some credit, the restaurant looks very clean and well presented and the price and portion size is very “generous”. I ordered via uber eats to collect, ordering at 620pm I was notified my food will be ready to collect at 7:10pm (not bad wait for good food) So I arrive at 7:10 to be offered a bag of food, i questioned what was in the bag to be told prawns etc ( none of what I ordered) 5 mins later I am told someone else took my food and she will be back in 15 mins (at this point im feeling very confused) The lady returns very angry and says to me “id imagine your food is cold I picked it up at 6:30” What runs through my mind then is the so called 50 min preparation was infact 10 minutes which made me think it wasn't freshly prepared either way. At this point I told them I want new food as this has been taken to someones house opened and brought back. To which they said “fair enough” I felt a bit sorry for the boy on shift as he was only about 15 years old. I said how long will it take, 30 mins ok great. After 30 mins i go back in to be given my bag and told “enjoy my food” Got it home, certain parts were still cold, the lamb chops were reheated and the chips were clearly microwaved. Some of the packaging was also slightly open. This made me realise the cheek of them, they had given me the impression they had made new food but in fact given me some nasty food that had left their premises for 45 mins and made me wait an extra 30 mins to be given the same bag of cold and old food. Was a genuine error, the boy wasnt very experienced but seriously how does any business find this acceptable. For that reason I will never return or advise anyone else too. Ruined my evening.
