The food was lovely. We had very good Chinese food and there were Chinese people in the restaurant attesting to the food being good. They also have a Malaysian chef as well. They also do Turkish food. We saw someone having a lovely all day breakfast. It was really friendly and dog friendly. They bought treats and water for the dog. We had a lovely time

We came here as a group of friends for dinner. What a variety of dishes available! We ordered chicken katsu, fried rice, char kwuay tiao, spicy beans, beef brisket curry and cereal prawns. All dishes were delicious, flavourful and good value for money. The fried rice and noodles has wonderful wok hei flavour. Service was also good and friendly! We will be back!

Tipped off by friends that this was more than an ordinary cafe . Popped in for a coffee a couple of weeks ago and saw the different menus so met friends for an excellent Malaysian Lunch this week. You can have Traditional English dishes , Turkish dishes , Japanese dishes and Chinese dishes

First Full English breakfast of our family trip and this place didn't disappoint. A Wonderful family run cafe near the town centre. Simple menu with a VERY cheap price tag. Plenty of space for our kiddies and the constant stream of locals is a sure thing this is a good spot. Would highly recommend and the Mighty full English breakfast was so delicious with a fresh coffee thrown in as well. Thanks for a great start to our day and leaving with full bellies.

We walk from city centre to here around 10mins , base on friends told it with Asian dishes under new management. The around environment look nice . While walk in we saw the counter and a semi-open kitchen. Reasonable prices dishes, good serving staff . We saw most customers empty thier plates / bowls , me too !yummy for ours order , surely will return.

GB Cafe offering authentic tasty Far East cuisines to Full English breakfast. Prices are very reasonable but no corners cut on quality. So good, that after having had a meal there, I ordered 2 more meals to take home with me. Thank you Lin for your excellent service, will be back soon....with friends.

There is a new owner. Very friendly but more than anything else the food is good. We were 4. 2 Turkish breakfast. 1 ham and cheese toastie and I had beef chow fun. There is a separate Chinese menu. Everyone happy. The Ho fun had the “wok hei”. This is my measurement whether the food is authentic or not. 👍🏻 They let us taste the roast pork (cha siew) and the roast pork belly. It was amazingly delicious . Coffee is perfect. They have a new good machine. They are in the process of transitioning. I have never been here but my niece who lives here took us. They now have Cantonese food and the sushi bar is being built. If I ever come back to Nottingham, I will definitely eat here again!

Waited 50mins for food for the wrong food to come out then had to wait another 20 mins for correct food. Staff seemed stressed out thought restaurant was not very busy

Only discovered this place recently and have now been 3 times for brunch. Best value for money bunch ever! The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Will be returning again before long.

I love this place, it's very clean and tidy - and has a huge menu. We were there for brunch and chose from the breakfast menu, it is incredible value for money and absolutely delicious. The owner, Chris and his staff are amazing...we will be back very soon. Thank you for making is feel so welcome

First visit to GB Cafe just off Sneinton market near bottom end of Hockley about a 5 minute walk from Nottingham city centre This place is the best we ordered the Mega Breakfast it was quality and absolutely massive it’s by far the best breakfast I have ever had the Mega Breakfast is £8.95 but with that you get a choice of any hot drink and also a cold drink absolutely unbelievable value The service at GB Cafe is excellent and very friendly I would highly recommend you try the GB Cafe whether it’s for a breakfast, lunch or Dinner the menu is extensive including a selection of Turkish food this place is at another level!! We will definitely be visiting the GB cafe again very soon! Well done GB Cafe

Visité GB hoy. El propietario me dijo que fuera y nunca volviera a su restaurante, ya que está ocupado con otros clientes importantes porque me tomé el tiempo para ordenar lo que necesitaba. Cito "no podemos tomarnos el tiempo de escucharlo durante 20 minutos; sin embargo, usted solo quiere pedir el desayuno", pero yo solo estuve 2 minutos. No estoy seguro si alguien más había ocupado el tiempo de los asistentes antes de mí o de qué se trataba todo ese alboroto.

mi cafe favorito Muy buen menú, café animado y mucho espacio para llevar a los niños y tantos amigos como desee. La camarera le dio una paleta gratis al niño que trajimos con nosotros. menú ecléctico nuestro amigo tenía scampi y papas fritas mientras nos quedamos con el desayuno tradicional. Cafe GB is one of the nicest most welcoming and accommodating cafes and visit almost every day. The owner Chris/Haydar is amazing and his recommendations never fail, all custom to my needs as a Muslim.

Someone suggested GB cafe for an early morning breakfast and we’ve been once a week ever since! Breakfasts are hearty and tasty, at a very decent price! The owner is absolutely lovely along with his friendly staff and efficient service!

GB Cafe sells classic cafe food, such as English breakfasts, omelettes, jacket potatoes. burgers but also has a Turkish menu of grilled meat and fish, and salads.

Serves up huge portions at a decent price, with friendly staff, spotlessly clean premises and a relaxed atmosphere & a varied customer base.

Usually this place is a good place for breakfast but appalled that opening times state til 2pm on Sunday to be turned away by staff at 1.15 as told there closing. To make matters worse walking past 5 min later new customers In the place. Clearly not one of the locals. Shame staff let place down as owner nice bloke

Tenía todo el día el desayuno a 6 libras. mega. 95. . . . . enorme! ! ! También incluye un zumo de naranja y una bebida caliente. Comida recién hecha, caliente y muy sabroso. Estoy de acuerdo con la crítica anterior que la salchicha no fue de la mejor calidad, pero todavía era muy buena. Tostadas con mantequilla y en realidad estaba bien caliente. Una gran selección de comida.

About 10 of our ladies went here for lunch last month, it was fantastic value for money, the Cafe was very clean and the staff where very attentive, this Cafe offers good food served hot and fresh.We will definitely be going back.

Went to this great cafe last Saturday and had the mega breakfast which included coffee, orange juice and 2 slices of bread and butter for only £6.95 which is great value. The service was good and the quality of the food was excellent. You get 2 black pudding in your breakfast which made a nice change. There's plenty of seating in this cafe which is good so you can relax. I would visit again if I happen to be in Nottingham.

I feel like this establishment would really benefit from investing into some trays. As a waitress it pains me to see the staff taking out drinks two at a time and piling plates in their arms! Food was great and reasonably priced. Would come again.

Went for a full english yesterday and I'm still buzzing off it. What a great cafe, great staff and a great breakfast. Absolute bargain - £5.95 - egg (however you want it), 2 bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, 2 hash brown (really well cooked), 2 black pudding, 2 slices of toast, mug of tea and a glass of juice. All excellent. Will be going back soon.

My rating is based on the breakfast. The lunch/dinner options could well be better...Surprisingly its pretty hard to find cafes open in the area on a Sunday, but this one is which is a plus plus parking right at the front! However the breakfast was very average, not really enjoyable. Clearly cheap ingredients, sausage and bacon were poor, egg overcooked, toast arrived before the breakfast so was cold by the time it arrived.Probably won't visit again......

I love this cafe's breakfasts. A really good full English with a choice of eggs (I like mine scrambled), toast, coffee and juices. They also do nice meals with A Mediterranean feel- salads, pitta breads, and also baked potatoes and sandwiches and paninis. Something for everyone.

A great breakfast with black pudding mushrooms etc. All with coffee and juice for under six pounds. One possible inprovement is to offer a quality sausage over the standard pink thing. Even if it increases the cost I would prefer a traditional herb sausage.Otherwise perfect.Went back the next day and did it all again.

Having been here on countless occasions for breakfast and lunch I can safely say there is no where better in Nottingham for a full English. For just 5.95 you get all the bells and whistles with your coffee and orange juice included. The staff are always extremely friendly, especially the guy with brown hair, and always make the dining experience a pleasant one. Can't recommend it enough and I hope it continues to provide excellent service and great breakfasts.

Always busy & always good value, a large simple old school cafeteria layout with friendly staff.They serve a mixture of Turkish food in the afternoon and various versions on the English breakfast from 7:00 for under £5.00, the breakfasts are always hot & filling, accompanied by toasts, coffee & fruit juice at no extra cost.

The combination between the English menu and the Turkish food, all in the same place is amazing! Quality time spent in a place where you can feel like home !

Came in here for breakfast with TOH. What a treat I had the Full English and TOH had the English. Both came with a juice and 2 slices of bread. We were there for about 11 and that kept us going till we were due to out in the evening. We are so lucky in Nottingham there are some great places to have a breakfast and folks this is one of them.

A great Cafe, friendly, and good food! My cheese omelet with salad, coleslaw and chips (£5.50) was excellent. Coffee with hot milk is £1.30. An antidote to Hockley nonsense...

After a 4 day rave the last thing I wanted to do was cook, I just wanted to eat! We live a 5 minute walk from GB Cafe but never got round to visiting until now, why haven't I been here before!!! We both opted for 'Mega Breakfast' it was amazing, so much food, the black pudding was cooked perfectly!!! Will pop along again in the not so distant future!

I went there few times and used to work there girl which never knew if the food is not out of stock. When I asked her from what is made a dish (I don't remember what was that) she couldn't even answer me so she just smiled and look at me like "what do u want from me". Later I didn't c her there anymore. Menager (and the owner) is very kind and if he's not busy he would always chat with you for a second ☺

The best Turkish bbq food in the city in my opinion. Very friendly staff, excellent service and succulent tasty chicken and lamb. Can't get enough of their food and I'll be back there again this evening!

I first discovered GB Cafe when I was a student in the halls beside it, and 4 years later I still come to the restaurant! I love it. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the chef takes such pride in his business which is evidently clear. The staff are always friendly, especially the young man who has been there since I started going. The food is exceptional, a a variety of options on the menu so you will always find something to tickle your tastebuds. Im getting hungry writing this review... 5*

This café was a Godsend for us. Working at the Motorpoint Arena, parking near the Lace Market, the GB is on the way. Opens at 7am every morning, nice selection of different cooked breakfasts (even one with chips!). The food was spot on, the service friendly and prompt, the setting relaxed and clean, and the prices were reasonable. I expect the Turkish food for lunch or dinner would be great too.

We met a friend for lunch today and, as always, the food was lovely and good value. I usually just have one of the All Day Breakfast options but, as I've just started Slimming World, I opted for the Chicken Kebab with rice and salad, from the new Turkish menu. Lots of lovely juicy chicken and tasty rice ... cooked and presented well ... absolutely delicious. If you're visiting, the cafe is off the beaten track in an area that is undergoing development, and don't expect restaurant-style decor, or cosiness in such a large building/room ... but it is clean, warm, the service is good, and the owner is a lovely friendly man with an obvious passion for the food.My only niggles, and these don't relate to the food or service are; the name and signage, which I don't think do the standard of food on offer justice; and, the odd selection of pictures, many of which don't relate to 'GB' or the cuisine on offer ... personally I'd prefer a more Turkish/middle-eastern flavour to the pics ... maybe that's just me though :o)

Many places to eat food in nottingham but nothing compares to GB. The quality of the food in always at a high standard and fresh ingredients every time! Perfect for a quick breakfast or a late evening traditional turkish grill. The menu covers everything and for everyone! i personal can taste when the chef cares about the standard of his dish and that is guaranteed every time at GB.Once you have visited i promise you will return again!!

The GB is a gem! Discovered 2 years ago and have been regulars ever since. We have usually gone there for breakfast or brunch however this evening we tried out the Turkish menu which was FANTASTIC! Chris and his team always make us feel welcome and service is quick and attentive. Delicious authentic Turkish food from bbq inside the spacious restaurant, we had the sharing platter which was excellent. Sure that we will be returning soon!

Visit here regular for past few years, always great food and good value , have taken neices and nephews before and they really enjoyed it too, and now they make it their favourite for breakfast or dinner

I have been to GB Cafe many times for their incredibly good breakfasts, always served fresh and hot, and always great value.However, they have recently started to open in the evening and so I went to sample their Turkish barbecue grill, and it was very very good indeed.My girlfriend and I shared the large mixed grill with lamb and chicken shish, lamb adana, lamb ribs, lamb chops, and chicken wings. Served with savory rice (and some great fries!) and dressings.The meat was perfectly cooked over charcoal, very tender, and delicious, and we left feeling stuffed and very satisfied.The owner Chris is a lovely man, very friendly, and takes great pride in providing really great food in a nice, simple way. This is the perfect place to go before a concert or show at the Nottingham Arena as it's only a short walk away. Or of course for breakfast any day! I'll be back very soon Chris

This is my first time here and my gosh it won't be the last I wouldn't of known this place was here but I was working opposite and went in on my dinner I had the chicken Cajun meal and it was amazing all fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly not to mention the cheesecake for desert can't wait to bring my wife with me and the kids amazing food and very friendly staff best restaurant in Nottingham by far even beats tgi Fridays

This really is great food - charcoal BBQ and cooked to perfection. I have now tried several things- love the chicken pide ( Turkish pizza) but the mixed grill is out of this world. Great value for such good food. The decor isn't fancy but the welcome is warm and the meals are fantastic. If you don't already know it's really close to the ice arena, not far from Bunkers Hill pub.

I've always come to GB Cafe for my breakfast on a weekly basis. I have been delighted with the amazing service and food. I couldn't recommend a better place in Nottingham for breakfast and lunch. Recently they've opened in the evening and have a traditional Turkish menu. The Turkish mix BBQ is to die for! Honestly the most authentic Turkish restaurant out side of Turkey.

Always serves great breakfast, and is now open in the evening serving a wonderful Turkish menu. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

GB Cafe already serves the best Full English in the city but has now also become a fantastic Turkish restaurant and grill in the evening. The food was absolutely superb and the service excellent as always. We had a mixed platter of lamb and chicken sheesh, chops, wings and other expertly grilled morsels served with a selection of dips. The bread and rice (so often just an afterthought) were also delicious. I'm so glad I live just around the corner!

Went here a few years ago after doing a load in/out in the ice arena... Was never disappointed with the food that comes out of the kitchen the staff were Great they allways looked after us with the prices well done guys if I'm ever back up their will be back in again

I'm lucky to live just around the corner from this little gem. Their fried breakfasts are by far the best I've had in and around the city centre. The service is always usually very friendly but can be slightly disorganised at times. What I like is that they tend to throw in drinks for free when you spend a certain amount/buy certain foods. Also love their chicken omlettees, they come with chips and salad and the portions are always nice and big without fail!

I've had a few visits here, it is 5 minutes from my home and a real treat to have so close to your front door.I had a brunch breakfast and my son had beans on toast with a sausage. We both enjoyed our food and drinks, but the service and atmosphere make this place what it is. Don't get my wrong the food is nice, not too greasy, nothing pretentious - just tasty, well cooked meals and snacks.This place suits me perfectly: cosy, modern, clean, a good variety of food and really friendly, happy staff. Sneinton is lucky to have such a quality cafe on its doorstep.
