Fabulous little cafe on the A17. What a perfect find - delicious food, all very reasonably priced, and served with a smile. We bought a slice of cake each to enjoy later and these were also very tasty and beautifully light. Cash only - no cards. Plenty of parking outside.

I cannot really find anything to moan about with this place, its a nice, clean cafe. If I have to pick something then the price of "Extras" can add up, but having said that the breakfast we generally have is plenty to keep you going. The cafe itself is clean and tidy, staff are friendly and the service is good, food is freshly cooked to order and tea/coffee is in mugs. A nice midway stop off between the midlands and east coast.

What an amazing find. Had a tasty bacon sandwich and egg & bacon ( hubby said it was best he’d eaten in a long time). Staff really friendly and welcoming. Toilets were spotlessly clean. Called in as halfway between home and north Norfolk coast. This great place is situated in a lay-by so ideal for walking our Goldies. Hoping to call in on our way back home. Thank you.😊

Always our breakfast stop when travelling from Derbyshire for birdwatching on the East Coast, the Gatwick is ALWAYS spot-on. Food, staff, facilities always great and this time the complete gateaux on the counter was too much to resist so we took 3 pieces for afters. £1.80 for a huge slice of beautifully light cake made by the staff - much too cheap!. At our birdwatching stop, RSPB Frampton Marsh, a much, much smaller piece of cake was £3.75!! Lovely place!

We stopped here for lunch on our way home from holiday. My husband had eggs, chips and beans and I had cheeseburger and chips. We both had drinks and the whole bill was only £10! The ladies serving were lovely and friendly and the cafe was absolutely spotless. The food was excellent. We've been here before and expected it to be good and we were not disappointed. I would highly recommend this cafe. It's lovely.

Traveling from Sheffield to Hopton on Sea we discovered this lovely little cafe frequented by couples, truck drivers and others. It is on the A47 traveling towards Norwich but take care not to miss it as it is set back from the road and signage appears shortly before the cafe driveway. We have stopped here 3 times on our travels to the Norfolk Suffolk coast in December 2021, July 2022 and last week. On each visit we have been delighted by the cleanliness, service with a smile and the quality and price of breakfast and dinner meals, tea, coffee and cakes. Meals cost between £5 and £8 (including tea or coffee), tea 80p and cake £1.85. We'll call in for breakfast on our next trip in July 😊

Well this has to be one of my most favourite places to eat. Good quality food garunteed. I've been using this great cafe for over 30 yrs well nearly 40 yrs when I think about it. First visited with my father when I was still at school (nearly a lifetime away now) was owned by different people back then, the food was as good back then as it is now. Always a good menu available, excellent breakfast (visited on way to derbyshire with 3 work mates a few weeks ago had told them what a great cafe it was we all had various breakfasts and all agreed "excellent" Called in again this week with my partner Gail and son Luke on the way to Edinburgh for his graduation once again excellent meals enjoyed by all 3 of us. Great value for money home cooked food well worth a visit. Immaculatey clean dining area, pleasant, helpful and friendly staff. Toilets (and shower) also immaculately clean, cleaner than most cafes.

We were a group of four friends who stopped for a late breakfast on our way from Manchester to Norwich for a football match. There is good parking outside but if the car park is full the cafe is in a decent sized layby with plenty more room. The cafe is clean, bright and welcoming. There is a good selection of food advertised on blackboards, including a variety of set all-day breakfasts which is what we were interested in.The food was good value and well cooked. There was plenty of it and as has been noted in other reviews the beans were richer than usual. Tomatoes are of the tinned variety. All this was presented with a smile and it kept us all going all day. The only negative for me was the coffee - I was disappointed with a not very good quality instant coffee. I wouldn't expect a full on barista experience, this is a roadside cafe, not a coffee bar, but maybe a better brand of instant would do the trick. The toilets were clean and fresh and everything looked in good condition. I noticed that there were shower facilities for long distance drivers. All in all this is a good spot to break your journey, and I would choose to stop there again if using the A17.

We first stopped here for a nearby geocache and decided that it would make sense to make use of their facilities and have lunch too. We now rarely stop anywhere else along the painful drag that is the A17!The cafe is simple but very clean and the food is good and well priced. A cup of tea is 70p, a breakfast £4.20 including tea and toast, two slices of toast 60p. The hot meals were £4-£5. We've previously had the chilli and it rivalled that commonly served in pubs for an evening meal at nearly twice the price. The toilets (well, let's face it, they're essential on a long journey!) are outstandingly clean & my husband says that the gents are equally so. If Little Chef had been run by these people I suspect it would still be going strong. This establishment provides exactly the service you're looking for in a long journey, it does it well and at a great price.

We tried the all day breakfast and it was basically very nice. The baked beans were richer than found at most cafes but the overall quality was a little shy of that found in working cafes found in north London.Given that we do not like some of the things on the standard full breakfast we modified our order to save a couple of pounds.Seems most people are happy to take things off of a set menu but reluctant to compensate with things of equal value.... I suppose this is to be expected these days and to be fair the board did say "these are set menus and cannot be changed".The tea was reasonable. The location on the A17 a few miles out of sleaford is good.Plenty of parking close enough to the door and a welcoming warm interior (at least on the day we went when summer seemed to be hiding).

The staff were very friendly and I had a hot chocolate and I really enjoyed scrambled egg on toast. I was so looking forward to popping in again on my next visit to Sleaford but I was very sad to read a newspaper article saying it has closed for good. So sad after 101 years in the town that this had to close.

Yet another visit to this fantastic pub. The lunchtime baguettes are amazing and great value for money. The only issue I have is with the guy complaining about his steak as the George has not had steak on the menu for quite some time. My advice is to ignore that review and try the pub for yourself, it's brilliant.
