Great moment spent in this restaurant. Our waiter Raji made this moment a great one. He was very friendly, professional and helpful . Our meal was good but the quality of his service made it even better.

Stayed at the Hilton hotel as had a flight early the next morning. After looking at the menu my family and I chose to eat at the garden restaurant due to the amount of variety. We were immediately greeted by our waiter Raji. He was incredibly helpful throughout our meal and was very efficient. He was a very lovely person and incredible at his job! Our food came quickly and was delicious. Would definitely eat at the garden restaurant again after our experience.

I arrived at 6:30 pm and was swiftly seated in a large restaurant. The menu and drinks choice was quite great. The pricing did not seem particularly high for an Airport based hotel. I have the butter chicken curry which was delicious and actually the portions was a bit big for me. Raji was a 5 star waiter. Service was swift. I could not fault anything during the evening. The draught Indian pale ale beer was fine although a little expensive. Well recommended place to eat.

Awful service. The waitress didn’t even offer water on arrival. The starters came quickly but they took a long time to clear the table. We had to wait 45 minutes for the main. The rice for the curry was hard. The biggest disappointment was when they gave us the bill before we even had time to ask for it and without having asked whether we wanted dessert or not. Absolutely awful and so disappointing. I would expect better when spending so much money eating out and in that type of restaurant. Appalling service. Won’t be going back.

Rather a disappointing meal. The service was friendly and efficient, but I made the mistake of ordering a rib-eye steak which was gristly, and rather smaller than the 8oz advertised. My husbands curry was nice and other families seemed to be enjoying their meals. The waitress was very apologetic and gave us free coffees. Still I would expect better for £32.

We had a wonderful meal here the food was great value for money we had the burger and steak and chips and both were very good for the price! But the whole experience was made exceptional by our server Raji . Right from the start of welcoming us into the restaurant, he was brimming with generosity and hospitality and made us feel totally welcome and at ease. He clearly is an extremely hard worker and pre-empted are every need, including bring more tomato, catch up over, just as my partner was trying to scrape any remaining sauce out of the bottom of the dish ! Thank you very much Raji for making our evening, so enjoyable you have so much energy and are an absolute delight !

Fantastic staff at this clean and functional hotel. All staff were helpful, polite and extremely keen to make our stay a great one especially Raji in the Garden Room restaurant where I had a delicious teriyaki chicken.

Really excellent food and service. Always a surprise for an airport hotel. We had Rib Eye steak which was cooked to perfection, as were the vegetables. The service from all the staff was superb, with a particular mention to Natalia, who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a delight to meet. Thank you we will certainly eat here again on our next stay.

The food and ambience of the restaurant was truly top class. I had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and both times the food was high quality. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with lots of options. Dinner consists of British classics rich in flavour. The physical facilities of the restaurant are well kept, clean and very well maintained. The staff at the restaurant are true gems and work very hard. I want to make it very clear that the staff are very attentive and make your experience truly world class. I must commend a waitress by the name of Emma for her professionalism, patience, ease of communication and overall wonderful service she provides. I would recommend Garden Restaurant to anyone who is in the Gatwick area.

The Garden restaurant had excellent customer service. Raji was awesome! Speedy service. All staff were polite and made sure we were ok throughout our time there. Place was very clean and aesthetically pleasing.

Ate here on a night before a flight out, food was lovely and the waiter Plaji was so attentive and helpful. Had the butter curry which was delicious, other half had the pie which was nice but smaller than expected.

This restaurant is based in the Hilton South Terminal, we enjoyed good quality food with good service. When we visited the buffet option was not available, as this is only available on certain days, however, we were more that happy with the menu choices. Overall a good meal.

Whilst staying at the Hilton we popped in here absolutely starving having fought our way through Sunday evening M25 traffic & were very pleasantly surprised. The food was great - butter chicken curry main & lemon & lime tart for pud. Really tasty & good portions. The wine was good too. The highlight was the service - Raji was absolutely lovely & couldn’t have been more helpful so a big thank you to him. Overall a very nice evening.

Although a little pricey , the quality and freshness of the food was extremely good. Do try the beetroot starter! Our server , Aarron was absolutely delightful and attentive even during an extremely busy service . Overall, our experience exceeded expectations .

After we checked in to the Hilton Gatwick south hotel, we decided on the garden restaurant for dinner. All you can eat buffet for a set price and it didn't disappoint. Everything was amazing for my partner, the only thing for me was I did not like any of the desserts on offer so asked if I could order separately from the other menu. They said no problem and I found a fantastic dessert. They even came out and apologized that I didn't like anything on offer, and I was not charged for the change. The waitress Connie, so professional and friendly from start to finish, very happy with the excellent quality and service and can't wait to come back after our flight to Malta.

In terms of value for money this is a good place to eat at the Hilton. It’s a help yourself buffet and if you can get the discounted rate of £24 (ask at Reception) it’s worth it. Some of the food is excellent, some just so so - the chips were very soggy! A nice selection of desserts though.

Tuna salad was great, so if you like salad nad tuna, this is a great option and white wine from Italy....heaven

We visited on a Wednesday so not busy. Hard to get served waitress disappeared constantly. RIP off when a £20 burger does not include fries. £60 for 2 burgers and soft drinks. Soft drinks on menu not available. Would not eat here again just go inside airport a lot cheaper

The buffet was fairly extensive and offered one roast and a selection of other main courses with a good range of starters and puddings. The cost of this is less if you pay for it at reception than if you pay in the restaurant itself.

I only had breakfast here - the choice of different foods and drinks (hot and cold) was excellent. Buffet style but all fresh and replenished in need. Was also good to see a member of staff with a thermometer proble checking the temperature of food on hotplates. For food only it is a definite 5- However overall experience was reduced due to staff and wear and tear on furnishings which both impact on tthe overall experience. - see photo of seating. Staff who welcomed you and took you to a table were great but the the table staff did not clear anything from table until I had finished eating and so a dirty cereal bowl stared at me whislt I ate a cooked breakfast. When they did clear, they did not smile or speak or even look at me !

Excellent choice of starters main and dessert. The service was excellent with Steffanie very attentive polite courteous and knowledgeable. The entire experience was first class after a long drive from North Wales 10 out of 10

If you have to stay at Gatwick, the Hilton is great, and the Garden Restaurant is outstanding. The range of food on offer is excellent and the service professional and helpful. Particular thanks to Marina and Silviu.

Myself and the family ate at the Garden Restaurant last night. Despite being a clearly busy night, I was especially impressed by our waiter Silviu, who made us feel attended to and never failed to make us laugh. We were very impressed by the ease of the service, and to add a cherry on top, we received a great plate of desserts fit for the family.

We ate the night before an early morning flight so were sitting down as soon as they opened. The variety of food was impressive and the quality even more so. The cooks and chefs really provide a delicious choice of truly international cuisine that cater from the simplest (fish and chips for example) to the more demanding or adventurous of tastes (that's me then). The value was incredible with a good wine list at reasonable prices (considering its location at Hilton Gatwick). I was expecting something merely palatable to fill me up and ended up having one of the nicest meals I have had in long time. Lovely, helpful service. Well done Garden Restaurant - you smashed it!

We were met and promptly taken to our table. The breakfast is self service, buffet style. There were plenty of options and choices. There was a selection of cereals, bread, toast, croissants and a wide selection of full 'English' cooked breakfats dishes. Very enjoyable.

There are basically two options at the Garden Restaurant - Buffet or À la carte. The buffet was very good but not cheap at £26 per head. There was a large choice of salads from the cart, followed by cooked food - several dishes were available ranging from beef bourgeon and chicken dishes, rice and roast potatoes and vegetables to pizza and fish and chips. You could have them all if you wanted! A large selection of desserts was also available as was cheese and biscuits. The staff were very friendly and attentive and cleared away dirty plates etc. quickly and efficiently.

I’m italian and I recommend this restaurant if you want to eat good at good prices in London-Gatwick

I’m here one night so far and totally enjoyed my dinner at this restaurant. The waitress Beni was extremely friendly and very efficient. I’m hoping she’s there when I go tomorrow. I’m thinking shes Chinese but not 100% sure. Her English is very good and that smile was so inviting. It was a group of 7 of us and she was the one mostly around us. The other 2 girls were good also but I didn’t their names. The food was very good including the desert I highly recommend this restaurant .

Given that this restaurant mainly services people in-transit within the airport, which I'm sure is a huge challenge in itself, my wife and I were treated warmly yet professionally by all the staff.

When I stay each time pork was on the menu , not sure if they do other meat. Carvery is great. Furniture could do with a makeover ripped fabric worn leather on chairs .

After a train ride from Southampton it was a pleasure to arrive at the Hilton Gatwick. It was equally disappointing that the restaurant was closed, at 5 p.m., and the only service available was bar food. I'm sure there were other guests also expecting a full service restaurant on an early Saturday evening to be open. Not what one expects at a Hilton.

The last two breakfast visits here have resulted in our daughter rushing to the toilet - that’s all I’ll say on that matter. The chairs are disgustingly dirty with stains all over them; the food quality is basic. When it is an airport hotel with quick rotation of guests and busy all the time, management have to work super hard to maintain high levels of cleanliness. Must remember not to bother with breakfast next time

Went for dinner on Friday night 19:30 with daughter aged 11 as there aren’t many choices before security at Gatwick.

We decided on dinner at this restaurant whilst staying at the Hilton Gatwick. You can choose from items on the menu or go for the buffet option. We decided on the buffet. Starters were cold meats, salads and soup. The mains were fish and chips, gammon roast, pizza or Thai curry as well as others. A good selection of desserts. Our waiter asked if we were celebrating anything, we were due to fly To Mexico for our silver wedding anniversary. To our surprise they came out with a special dessert, which was unexpected but very nice. Staff were polite and accommodating.

Had a really good evening meal but the breakfast wasn't very warm and bacon had obviously stood too long it was hard and some good bread but could use more choice

Recently stayed here for a midday flight & enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before check in. A good variety to suit all tastes & appetites. Table service for teas & coffees.

Seated and left to wait for someone to take drinks order. The starter selection wasat best OK normal run of the mill salad types with some fish. The mains served from a carvery style seemed a lot less and not such good choice as in the past. We both went for the fish and chips which were displayed differently ie. fish in a heap and the chips in a basket beside it. The fish was very greasy and the batter was almost soggy, the fish was tasteless. Chips again soft and greasy. The peas were OK. Sweet options were very limited, it looked as though they had a run on them, I had cheese which was good. Staff very indifferent and seemed more interested in preening themselves to staff members of the opposite sex and in one case the same sex.

See review under hotel, as it was part of the package so reviewed it there. Suffice to say that food choice and quality not as good as previously.

Because this hotel is smaller than the one on the south terminal it feels more comfortable. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The food was very acceptable at reasonable prices. The service was very good. Would stay there again.

It’s a buffet restaurant with a few but good things and they do have al a carte too. I chose buffet every day, it’s quick and good. The highlight of my supper though is Maria the waitress, easy to speak with, very efficient and charming like second to none. She puts a smile on your face. I highly recommend.

What a marvellous meal at this restaurant! My sister and I had one more evening before she jetted home and as it was her birthday we went for the buffet special in the Garden Restaurant. Our server Teddy was wonderful with his attentive service and organising a special plate of desserts when he knew about the celebration. A big thank you to all the staff for their hard work and the quality of the food.

In the last 10 years I spent many nights in Hilton London Gatwick Airport Hotel and I knew I could find good services there. Last week during my dinner time, in Garden Restaurant, all expectations have been exceeded thanks to excellent and quick services. I can highlighted the very professional services and politeness showed by three of Hilton employees, Bianca, Simone and Silviu. Many thanks!

My husband and I came here for dinner before our flight. The restaurant is a buffet and didn't have anything that we fancied. We were ready to leave and our server, Teddy, advised he could serve us from the pub menu, which was more aligned to what we were wanting. He was very friendly and personable. His attitude improved what I would consider an average restaurant.

After being given a table we waited 25 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. Even then I had to get up and find someone. Waited another 2 minutes for someone to arrive and ask for our order.

Food average, staff attitude poor! Was not allowed a jug of tap water! Unbelievable, had to sit there with my hand up like a five year old every time i wanted a glass of water!

Given the date, we were not sure what to expect, as it turned out we had a fantastic meal, the range of foods on offer would satisfy all palettes, plenty of hot and cold, salads, cheeses, hot and cold desserts. At £26 for a 3 course meal, in an airport I think is reasonable. They are more than happy for you to go look around before deciding buffett or just order an item from the menu.

Went here the night before our flight, Absolutley amazing burger ... one of the best I ever had, honestly. Quick and pleasant service from Bianca, she was friendly and welcoming. Passed on compliments to the chef-Nicola-thank you for a lovely evening meal!

The buffet food was cold and at 26 a head i would expect it to be of good quality also a 12.5% service charge was added to the bill. I was in shock when i had the total to realise this after I paid this was optional and we were not informed. If it wasn't a bigget it wouldn't have been so bad but I and sat for 30 mins after finishing my first drink without being asked if I wanted another

Ate here because I read the star rating and not the actual reviews (rookie error). We went for the buffet at 9, so in the interests of fairness bear the late hour in mind. It might be nicer earlier in the evening, but judging by the other comments the issues we had were pretty consistent.

Two thoughts ran through my mind as I was consuming this meal: 1) where's the rest of the buffet?, and 2) thank god I didn't pay for this [the airline did]. To charge 26 pounds for this meal is truly unconscionable. I would say that the food was high school cafeteria quality, but that would be an insult to high school cafeterias. It was not good. But the service was lovely.

We were on a late flight, and so we had time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the morning of our flight. We had to pay £15 per head (booked in advance) and it would have been more if we had paid on arrival at the restaurant. The food was however good with an extensive choice, available on a buffet style.

Ate here for easy access seated straight away. Staff very helpful as we ate from the buffet and I can't carry a plate and wheel my chair at the same time. Food constantly replenished with new not put on top of old. Hot food was piping hot with warm plates (hate cold plates for hot food) good choice of starters and desserts. Main courses catered for all tastes with everything from pizza and fish and chips to roast pork with all the trimmings. Can highly recommend.

Fppd ok pretty basic. Carvery looked better but expensive if you didn't want 3 courses. water in bottles served at room temperature which is unusual in hotels and pubs these days.

Food dried up and cold, looks like they cook it all in one go and leave out, perhaps they could cook in smaller lots and put out a bit at a time. Only one small notice under the bar as you go in to say they will cook some dishes to order, think there should be a menu on the tables to tell you this.

This is a buffet style restaurant, we stayed for dinner. The food was good (quality and choice). The service was a little disappointing, the restaurant was busy as i believe they were catering for passengers on a cancelled flight, however this was to our detriment.

We thought the buffet would be the quickest option but oh what a mistake . It lacked selection and was Luke warm , pretty disgusting . We then ordered from the menu. Not much better.Granted it was hot but cremated. Sorry but one of the worst meals we have had . We recommend you eat elsewhere !
