Coaching halt in Crawley

another great evening at the coaching halt! even though short staffed food service was prompt and we were well looked after by the wonderful mikey!

Booked the table service and served by a waitress Laila,the service was excellent friendly and engaging. The food was great and good value for money.

Both Michaels were great, managed to squeeze us into a last minute table and great service, food and drink throughout!!

9 of us for Sunday lunch - great service amazing food and very good value. Really generous portions and I was sorry not to have been able to try the puddings. Very good gluten free menu for me too.

I genuinely enjoyed my mixed grill! Laila was fantastic, so attentive and always wearing a sweet smile for everyone. Will definitely come back to try more items!

As soon as you walk in to this pub you are greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. Cannot fault the staff. They are always happy to go above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. Tracy is always very friendly and makes me feel like a friend rather than a customer, which is lovely. She’s very good at remembering faces and makes you feel like you are the only group she is serving. It’s obvious she’s the same with every group. She has a very good rapport with everyone. Food was very good as always. We both had the fish & chips which was cooked perfectly. Good sized portions too.

More staff are clearly needed as the bar and outside areas covered in empty glasses and dirty plates which where their from when we entered till we left - was served flat beer which was left on the side of the bar, when questioned the bar man said it had been on the side for at least 10 mins but I'll put a head on it for you .... huge no no. The same bar man said he's "too busy & doesn't care if a manager has a word with him about not following bar hygiene rules" his attitude towards other staff members and H&H legality in front of customers is worrying. (Especially when he's serving food - what else isn't being followed?) Although we had items missing from our meals the food from the kitchen was good and couldn't fault it, the cutlery pots where dirty and needed a clean along with the cutlery inside. It's a shame the front of house team are ruining what could and should be a great pub.

Fantastic food tonight (fish and chips and chicken and halloumi kebabs). Tracy was our server…she was absolutely fabulous!

Delicious food, elegant interior and friendly staff. Food was served in reasonable time, Would recommend for a nice family dinner. We came here after visiting the Seven Sisters cliff.

Had dinner and drinks for 3. Waitress service was good but food was very plastic and disappointing. Appears to be all heated from frozen. We left most of it in eaten and staff didn’t seem to be surprised.

Female being the bar had a very bad attitude, rude and unhelful. Also disgusting hygeine, she filled up a dogs water bowl for another customer, the bowl was filthy and covered in hair, then served me without washing her hands.

The food was great quality and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend Reasonable prices for food and drinks

Been to the coaching half a fair few times , always been great service, great food, great staff. One that stands out is Chelsea, always happy and polite, nothing is too much, she always goes that extra mile and always with a smile on in her face. 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended

Just had another great meal at the Coaching Halt, ie was very busy but the wait was acceptable, drinks came quick, food in an accessible time, service outstanding again thanks to Chelsea and Ryan, they made it great for my grandson. We Have now made it our main restaurant

Went here on a Tuesday night and there was a nice greeting and a good atmosphere here. Pretty with all the Xmas lights. Waitress very chatty and helpful. We had starters and mains which were very nice and plenty of food too. Lots of choice . Would definitely go again.

We had a lovely meal at The Coaching Halt. The food was very good and the service was exceptional. Chelsea could not have done more to make us feel at home, including our three year old Daughter. The outdoor play area was a lovely surprise too.

Coaching halt Crawley is great ! It helps to have excellent service from a lovely waitress named Tracy . The food is quite expensive but you can see the chefs make an effort presenting it and it tasted fresh.
