Considering the measures that are in place, the few staff that are here working have gone above and beyond. Especially John, who has looked after us in the reception each bight serving us our food and drink and being very attentive.

Visited with my partner. I ordered a rare steak but a medium arrived. When questioning this the waitress brought the slip used to take our order stating you ordered a medium rare and a medium. I twice asked for mine to be rare! I could not eat it and was informed that I could have a free dessert. I informed them that I would not pay for my steak, however the bill arrived and surprise surprise was charged for everything! Really poor customer service!!!!

This restaurant is just off the lobby area of the hotel and is bright and fresh. The English Buffet breakfast has so many options and the quality of items on the buffet is high. The food is very good and if you booked the hotel special for 2 night minimum stay it will include this breakfast. You will not be disappointed.

If you like waiting a very long time to have your order taken,let aone be served, if you like having dirty plates sit in front of you while your server is off doing who-knows-what, if you like chicken that reeks of salmon, then this is the place for you. If you think you might prefer something else, go elsewhere.

We ate at The Grill in April 2019 when we were staying at the hotel Arora before flying to Dubrovnik the next day. All of us chose different mains and we were all very happy with our choices. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. Our host Artur, and the waitress were both very attentive and friendly. The menus gave us a choice of two or three courses for a reasonable price considering the quality of the food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited here whilst staying at the hotel but this is not a typical hotel restaurant. The food was superb and reasonably priced. What made it though was the service. So friendly and efficient. I just couldn't fault it.

Dined here on a Thursday evening and we were very impressed with both the food and the professional service Artur and his team looked after us so well and when the beautifully presented dishes were tasted, we were VERY IMPRESSED We really enjoyed the 3 course option which at £27 per head proved to be an excellent choice The attentive staff served the delicious good sized and beautifully presented dishes with a genuine pride. Not to be missed!!

I come to Arora Hotel few times a year and always have breakfasts here. Good food at a decent price and very welcoming and friendly staff. Ask for Masha from Latvia, she’s the best!BTW, they speak several languages here so I’m pretty sure you’ll be helped!

My wife and I stayed overnight in the Aurora hotel before flying from Gatwick, and as it was raining heavily, decided to eat in the Grill. Right from first being greeted by Artur, the evening was a surprisingly really pleasant experience. Artur was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly but still very professional. We understand it was the chef’s first night, in which case Martin did an excellent job. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. We both had the lamb as a main - wow! Fabulous! We would definitely eat here again. Well done guys!

Stayed at the Arora on a Sunday night before flying out from Gatwick next morning. We decided to eat in at The Grill and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and Arthur's friendly service. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

This place is always fantastic. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Arthur is brilliant, always making you feel very welcome. He knows his menu well and is always happy to advise. We love eating here.

I had dinner there on the 8th January and was amazed by how friendly the staff was. I would like to highlight Petya secifically as she was going out of her way to make all the guests happy in the restaurant. She was friendly with everyone, she had a welcoming smile and made sure that all orders were received as quick as possible. I hope to see her duing my next visit!

Wow, what can I say? Where else to hold your Christmas party! Superb service from Artur and the team, really couldn’t ask for more. Would recommend this place enough!

We had a great meal, staff were friendly and helpful especially Arthur who offered great advice regarding menus and options available!

Genuinely good grub, higher end dining but not too pretentious. Artur is a great host, jovial and dedicated as are the whole team here.

I usually walk past this restaurant when staying at the arora and go into town. Last night we tried it. Food was delicious, service fantastic (thanks Artur). We’ll be back.

Delicious food and excellent staff. Discovered that between 6 and 7 there is a special of two courses for £19.95. Usually quiet so sometimes there is a little wait to catch a waitresses eye but they are very kind and friendly.

Had a beautifully presented 3 course meal, food came quick, service top notch. Can't fault it, a hidden gem in Crawley, will be back.

Very well presented top notch meal... a little on the expensive side if you were to eat there every evening but certainly a delightful treat during our stay.

Excellent service and beautifully presented food. I think the grill is a hidden gem and something anyone who likes to lunch out I would fully recommend. But be warned they are just about to start a revamp so please check, The staff could not have been more helpful. Three courses at £25 may sound expensive but such beautiful food is worth every penny. You could just go for two courses but then would miss out on the lovely sweets. Marie and the manager were friendly and helpful.

It was a very very long wait until we even got our drinks, and even longer for the food. However food was worth waiting for, full of flavor and very enjoyable. The staff some where amazing, some so rushed they lost track of things. But would I go again, for that food , yes

I was a guest at the hotel, and since there wasn’t a lot open for the evening, I decided to eat at the restaurant in the lobby. I had the duck, which I must say, was cooked quite well. The Caesar salad was good, but nothing special. The chocolate delice dessert was also quite nice and quite rich. The three courses cost me about 25.95 (pounds), which wasn’t terrible, but not a great value either.

We stayed at the hotel to go to the airport next morning.I’d pre booked & paid for a meal at the grill they gave us a menu with 3 set meals then told us we had to pay more if we wanted to make changes very poor food very small portions & very expensive for what we had not.Not impressed

Reluctantly had to stay at an airport hotel to avoid the journey in poor conditions. Decided to eat at The Grill because the weather was awful and it was far easier to stay in the hotel rather than venture out. The room is very uninspired and lacks character and finish and needs a total makeover, however the menu is interesting and offers enough choice. All the food we chose was imaginative, tasty and well presented, every member of staff was charming, friendly enthusiastic, switched on, and appeared to enjoy working there. So from an expectation of just getting something to eat, we actually enjoyed a very good dining experience.

The food was lovely. Nice service. Monica was excellent, although she mixed up my water. 😉 It was the best water I've had in a long time though, because it was served with such kindness. Thank you.

Mi carne fue uno de los mejores que he probado en mucho tiempo y mi esposa disfrutamos de su plato de cerdo. No se desanime por la parrilla siendo un restaurante hotel de aeropuerto, vale la pena una visita. Volveré.

We stayed overnight at the hotel and ate in the Grill. The staff here are very friendly, warm and helpful.It would be unfair to describe the food here as anything less than outstanding. It was well presented, cooked to perfection using quality ingredients and absolutely delicious.If we travel from Gatwick Airport again we most certainly will stay at the Arora and will definitely dine in The Grill.

Most airport hotel restaurants are average at best. This place is an exception. Really imaginative menu really well presented and tasted fantastic. Service was excellent. Absolutely nothing to fault and will definitely return

We were staying at the Arora hotel and having enjoyed our visit to The Grill in September 2016 we decided to eat here and see if it still impressed.Without doubt the food was excellent, we had the £15 two course menu, I had pate and salmon, my partner had soup of the day and roast chicken. The warm bread they serve here is a delight, staff are efficient and friendly, all in all great food and great value. The ambience is relaxed, music plays which is not something I like but it was not too loud to spoil our enjoyment.

Absolutely amazing food and very good value for money. Can not fault the food, menu options or service. Beef shin and belly of pork were both to die for!Setting isn't the best as the restaurant is so open and the wine menu is very pricey (expected really) but we can't wait to return!!!

We ate here with a couple of friends who were on their way back to the US. We all enjoyed the food which was both tasty and sensibly priced. There was a good choice of all course and the fixed price of £25.95 for two courses represented good value for money in our opinion in a hotel such as this.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Menu choice was limited and quite expensive for what it was. I went for the pork ribeye, when served it was very pink and had to be returned!! No problem with that and a fresh one cooked properly was served up.

Shame the window seats look out over a carpark at some houses, but otherwise it's a nice restaurant with good food and good service, so for a business trip it's fine. Fixed price menu for 2 or 3 courses. Quite pricey but good standard.

This is THE best hotel restaurants I've eaten at.We spend the night in the hotel pre flight on holiday and thought we'd try a local pub but soon realised the pubs in this area were unsuitable for us, a family of 6 ages 9 to 43. We decided to come back to the hotel and try the in house restaurant.It was modern, clean, quiet and spacious. We had a lovely waitress who deserved her tip!I wasn't looking to spend a huge amount but I was tired and just told everyone to order the 3 course and choose their options from the list. They did also do 3 course kids meals so the 2 younger ones had that, and to be fair the portions weren't really much smaller than the adult meals. Their portion sizes were really impressive too. By the time we sat down to eat, hubby was cranky, however this soon disappeared after he had eaten, although because he was cranky refused to eat a 3 course meal then later regretted it He ate his predictable burger and fries, but really enjoyed it. Kids loved it and they love travelling and staying in hotels and eating out so I'm glad it was a great experience as I can be quite embarrassing when I complain.No complaints here! Just praise! I would most definitely eat here again if we have another early flight and stay in the hotel.

We visited the restaurant for a surprise birthday dinner for a family member on a NOT busy Saturday night 11th June. We were invited to the Grill by a family member who was paying for it. The 14 of us sat down expecting a great evening with dinner and drinks at this so called top restaurant. Our orders were taken by the waitress starters the main AND THEN SIDE ORDERS OF VEGETABLES we were served with bread home baked a white seeded loaf a brown loaf and a cheese & ham filled loaf which to be fair were very nice and filling which turned out to be the most filling part of the meal. Our starters arrived and although small in portion were very tasty. We then had our mains delivered again small portion we sat there waiting for everyone to get their dinners before starting then waited for our side orders 5 minutes passed no sides BUT OTHER TABLES started getting served. We reminded the staff we were waiting for the side orders we were told that were on the way the food was by this time getting cold, steaks without chips fish and chicken without vegetables 10 minutes still only a couple of the party had side orders I myself still no green beans to go with my 2 small pieces of fish which I then ate without my side order as had the majority of the party, finally 15 minutes after mains delivered all the side orders had been delivered by a very sheepish and apologetic waitress saying we would not be charged for the sides good job because I never got my complete meal at the same time. What I did notice was the waiter did not make an appearance after I had mentioned about the sides earlier nor had the other gentleman who I can only assume was the manager by him being dressed in a smart suit and walking around as though he owned the place but left the waitress to take the flack for the poor service. VERY BRAVE. I would add what we had was quite tasty but NOT A COMPLETE MEAL which our family member paid for at the end of the night. We did not complain fully on the night as we did not what to ruin the night for everyone but feel we needed to say something.

Every day I have perfect breakfast with fastest service ERICA (also speaks Turkish)smile face and helpful everyday .....................Also known Turkish language is very helpful for me .I say thanks to ERICA and Maria and Reneta and Monica for delicious and fast and rich breakfast service.......İ Will advice everybody around me..........

Stayed here on business for the second time and decided to try out The Grill. The food was superb! I mean really good quality. I had scallops to start (delicious) and then braised beef for main - this was to die for!! Serious compliments to the chef for that dish!. I would highly recommend. The only thing that stopped this being 5 stars is that the wine I wanted was out of stock. They then forgot the wine that I did order and by the time the starter arrived, I still didn't have a drink. It wasn't particularly busy in the restaurant otherwise they could have been forgiven...I will definitely eat here again on my next stay at Arora. (Oh and the breakfast is also very good!)

I stayed in ARORA hotel over a month now I must say the grill restaurant is fantastic services and breakfast is very nice specially a staff called RENATA doing an outstanding services running the whole restaurant in a very professional way. The staff are very friendly.

We had a discount to try this restaurant so we looked online where they advertised their menu. Very enticing and different. Booked table and when we arrived and settled to our table it was then we realised the menu offered was totally different. I asked the staffed and show them their website and they said ..oh it's very old menu..out of date and shouldn't be there. That was the first alarm bell. We ordered steak and steak was just the piece of steak on a HUGE platform. Sides u have to pay for. Starters I had.scallops which again came on a plate that was 1/4 of the size of table but only was guve 2 little pieces of scallops amd turnip made to look like scallops. Sirloin was.very chewy at medium rare and we sent back. Was told that's how sirloin is chewing rib eye is tender so they gave us rib eye. No.sirloin if good quality can be very juicy and tender! My rib eye was ok but the colour of the steak looks pale and colourless. Being around the world working and travelling I know what is a good steak ! The bill came to 130 pounds plus discount and we left still hungry ! Overall I would NOT suggest going here as the food is ok but not worth the value. But the staff we very helpful and friendly.

We are here two nights in a row because it was that good! Elegant presentation of absolutely delicious food. My husband had the smoked chicken starter both times. Oh, and make sure you try the bacon bread! Quite surprised by how unappetizing the breakfast was at the same place. Normally I would have dropped the rating a bit because of this, but just skip the breakfast!

We had a meal at the Grill Restaurant whilst staying at the hotel. The service was first class and the food absolutely delicious. The best chicken breast dish that I have had for a long time. Superb and would definitely recommend.

Had the three course set menu which was excellent value, with good food choices. Food served at correct temperature and was all well presented. Friendly helpful staff as well, would recommend.

Poor value for money. I ordered the ribeye steak with chips. The waiter arrived with my order and said there you are, turned round and disappeared, didn't ask if I wanted any sauces etc. I eventually caught the attention of another waiter who brought my request of English mustard and vinegar which turned out to be a yellow mustard which only resembled English mustard in colour. The vinegar was balsamic! My steak was cooked correctly to order of medium but was very tough! The order of chips turned out to be small. I'd advise a short walk into town to any of the bars if you fancy a decent steak!

From reception to meal this is a cut above the average hotel restaurant.The service was polite and efficient. The menu is wide and descriptive. The food is well-prepared and presented. The restaurant itself is rather austere and the outlook is boring, but overall this is a "good place".

Had a delightful meal a couple of weeks ago - took advantage of the 3 courses for £23 and most impressed with what I had. The 3 types of salmon starter was lovely, as was the main, finished off with a lovely chocolte dessert. I thought @£60 for 2 with wine very reasonable.

We were taken to a window table next to other diners. I requested if we could be moved somewhere a bit more intimate as it was our anniversary. Informed by the head waiter that no other tables were available. All the other tables were free at the time and continued to be free. Assuming they put people by the window to make it look busy. (No one walked past while we were there so didn't work) Atmosphere was dead. Restaurant pretty soulless, maybe due to it bringing a Tuesday night. Could have done with some candles on the tables etc. Now the positives, Waitress service was excellent and the food and wine. Great steaks. Bill was a bit pricey but expect that from a hotel. All in all enjoyed the meal just not the atmosphere.

7 March - I am a guest at the hotel and wanted to have lunch at the restaurant after I just checked out. I was invited to a seat and within 5 minutes, told that thet were not serving lunch because there was another small group having a buffett. This is the only restaurant in the whole hotel and they Choose to close for lunch on a Saturday. Believe it or not. I was hungry and extremely pissed. Went to the cafe across the restaurant, waited very long for my fish and chips because the staff just couldnt manage. Goodness. Bad food choices in the hotel

Went here for Mother's Day lunch, food was tasty but sadly the other diners really spoilt the experience. On one table we had two children whose parents had decided to allow them to run around the restaurant, stand on chairs and scream loudly whilst plying them with copious amounts of coca cola. Sadly the chef hadn't prepared a Ritalin velouté so this continued throughout our time in the restaurant. Then we had chav family part two who deemed it acceptable to play YouTube videos on their iPhones on full volume during their meal. Whilst the food was good, I was left wondering why the mothers on the other tables were being thanked this Mother's Day, as they'd clearly failed to raise their children with any manners or class.Visit here, the staff were wonderfully polite and the food very fresh but beware of the chavs that lurk on other tables.

I suppose you can class the hotel (Arora) that this restaurant is situated in as an 'airport hotel' and therefore few people eat here unless on the way to or from Gatwick.However we live local and have visited this restaurant a few times and have always found the food and service to be of a good standard.Last night we visited for the first time in a while and found that the menu had been revamped. After pre dinner drinks in the splendid bar area we entered the restaurant, seated by the window the space between tables is just about right.The food and wine choice is a little limited (but this is the same for most hotel restaurants), however the service was prompt and generally of a good standard.I can recommend the Scallop starter and Seabass main course, very tasty.

Stopped of at the grill when in Crawley,was a very nice meal from starters to main,to the wine and coffee.The staff are very friendly and attentive.So it was a refreshing experience to have nice staff and food after such a long journey.The scallops are lovely.

As described in my review of the hotel where this restaurant is situated, the service was appalling - a catalogue of errors!If you are staying in the hotel go out to eat!

I have never before tasted so many unique and different flavours. The varied menu offers cuisine which is cooked with such a high degree of professionalism, that it truly is great food. My mouth waters at the thought of enjoying the creamiest soup I've ever tasted, the slightly salty and perfectly cooked crab and the array of other wonderful flavours which came across even through the side potatoes and vegetables, cooked uniquely in a way which strongly complements the rest of the cuisine. The ambience was wonderful, all set up for romantic dinners or relaxing with your friends and family in a more formal environment. The table had fantastic views of the hotel and streets all lit up. We were treated wonderfully with waiters bringing our every need without us even having to ask. The food was served at the right temperatures, and followed our desired temperature.Full stars, enjoyable experience, excellent food and service

Great tasting food but was charged £7.00 for 2 small bowls of chips to have with the meal plus £3.00 for a meagre spinach. This on top of the £26.00 for the Rib eye steak and £23 for the seafood grill. Just to finish off we then had a 12.5% service charge stuck on the end. Corporate Hotel feeding off those expense accounts I feel. Walk out of the Foyer and spend your money in numerous other restaurants with a few minutes walk.

Great food, good price. Staff real friendly and the restaurant not too busy. Food took around 15 minutes to arrive and clean plates for the group !

We stayed at the hotel and chose here for our dinner and the options are limited. When we eventually managed to get one of the staff to speak to us we were told that they were fully booked! I can accept this as a reason when the restaurant is full but there was only about half of the amount of tables being used. Instead we were turned away to sue the atrium cafe with bland limited options. Wouldn't bother again

Als Gäste des Arora Hotels, hatten wir am ersten Abend, keine Lust auf Experimente in der Stadt und sind im Hotel geblieben. Obwohl wir keine Tischreservierung hatten, bekamen wir einen schönen Tisch direkt am Fenster. Wir bestellten das 3 Gänge Menü, eine hervorragende Flasche Rotwein und Wasser. Sowohl das Menü, als auch der Wein, waren nicht nur preislich angemessen, sondern auch vorzüglich. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und der Service war erste Klasse, sehr zuvorkommend und anstandslos. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es jedem empfehlen, hier zu essen, ob als Gast des Hotels oder als Besucher. Vielen Dank!!!

Our third visit here as we eat here when staying over prior to flying out from Gatwick.Food was pretty good as usual and service excellent. We met some friends here for dinner. Only issue really was one of our friends ordered the ribs and it arrived as a single rib! Most bizarre, never been anywhere where ribs consist of a single rib!, he was most put out. On the whole I think portion sizes were smaller than on previous occasions.

Once again my family and I have gone here for their monthly carvery. The food is always fresh and delicious. Wide variety of meats available and they bend over backwards to cater for vegetarians (tho plenty of vegetable side dishes that are perfect to make a meal of) The starters, desserts and cheese board are lovely not to mention the fluffiest yet crispiest yorkshire puddings. But most of all Raji is the best waiter ever. He is great with our children, attentive to us and always so welcoming. We went to celebrate my sister-in-laws engagement but it is so reasonably priced that we never need an excuse to go. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough thats why we keep coming back. x

We had a large family dinner just after Christmas. The food was of a generally high standard, though my medium-rare steak was a bit overcooked. The food was, above all, fresh. I liked the vegetables in particular. Average price, I would say, though the drinks were a bit pricey. Recommended as a classier place to eat out in Crawley without breaking the bank. The service was generally good, though I had to ask twice for the bill. The room was large and tables well spaced out.The menu was poorly written, undermining the image. It include cheese's, rather than cheese or cheeses, and Madeleine's followed by a comma. This gave a bad impression.

We dined in at the Hotel restaurant for the convenience and were won over by its excellence. Truly delicious plates from entrée to dessert and we ranged across seafood, steak and innovative starters (scallop and pork combination - superb start and set a high standard that was maintained throughout).Whilst the setting is unremarkable, although with good space and comfortable dining furniture, the ambience was made by the friendly, attentive yet non-invasive (a rare skill in restaurant staff) service by out two servers. Whilst I can recall Nuno by name his female partner in crime was equally well informed as to the menu offerings and between them they facilitated a great meal.Apparently another Nuno resides in the kitchen. We did not manage to meet him, however we give him full accolades for it was the results of his team of chefs that surprised and delighted us.For a business hotel the Arora possesses a truly pleasurable restaurant with the Grill.Well done and thank you, money well spent.

This is our second visit to the Sunday carvery with our family and would highly recommend it to anyone. The food is of a very high standard and the service was excellent as always. We will certainly be returning again as every visit to the Arora has been superb.

I will start out by saying that this is my second visit to the Grill - (and my second review)However I wanted to write about just how accommodating the staff were in helping me plan a special meal for my mother for her 80th.Once again the food was splendid and they now have a set menu that makes dining out there a lot more affordable ( approx £25 for 3 courses) I had ordered a cake from Druckers in Crawley ( which was DIVINE!) and I dropped it off at the restaurant in the afternoon for them to keep in the fridge. They were very good and sang my mum 'Happy Birthday' when they brought the cake out and even gave us some complimentary bubbly to celebrate. From the moment we arrived the manager and his staff treated my mother like the Queen. The waitress even gave my mum a birthday hug !The place was busier than our last visit but we were made to feel like we were the only ones in there. I would highly recommend the wood pigeon starter as it was something very special and the steak was one of the nicest I have had in this country.All our dishes were very well presented and tasted wonderful.

We were served by Raji who was very attentive but not over the top, was excellent with put two children talking to them and asking them for their order whilst not patronising, The food (as always) was excellent, great choice of starter, mains and deserts. It is very rare to find a Sunday carvers with 3 courses and as many trips as you like for such amazing value.Highly recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful Sunday lunch with family with great choice and excellent quality and service. enjoyed the three course evening meal, food was tasty and very well presented, restaurant is very clean and the service is excellent, tables not to close to each other so enjoyed your own conversation not that of others.

We were a party of six (two of which were children), we all enjoyed our meals, service was excellent (Raji was our waiter) very child friendly. Starters and deserts had many choices all of which were very nice and main was a choice of three meats and a choice of vegetables. We would definitely recommend any one to go, very clean and all staff very friendly.

I have been here before when it was italian and always enjoyed the food. The Grill is just as good, the food was beautifully cooked and very well presented. The service was great the waiter was friendly well informed and attentive. It's not a cheap option but worth the money.

Went here for a Sunday buffet lunch. Outside my normal price range but decided to splash out. Comfortable surroundings, bright and clean.Excellent choice and quality of starters, salami, seafood and salad with a variety of breads.Desserts also very tasty. The cheesecake left me so full I had no room even to sample the good range of cheeses.Coffee also excellent. What let the meal down was the carvery main course. The plates were cold, which meant that the vegetables got cold very quickly, and the local beef was tough so I had to call for steak knives to get through it.Also 12.5% service charge added for a serve yourself buffet is somewhat excessive!Ok for a change, but unlikely to go again.

Forget the Gatwick Hotels and local restaurants. The food here is top class and service is excellent !Lucky enough to stay 5 star on holiday and when travelling this is my regular weekly haunt and I use it because the restaurant is great .... Not an accolade I give likely. Last few local board meetings here with a great board room and lovely dinner.

As a family we booked for their Sunday lunch 19.5.2013. What a delight. Raji was eager to please looked after us. Made sure we were well informed. The food was one of the best Sunday lunches we have had. Lots to choice. Starters. Main and pudding. Fab cheese cake. On Easter sunday 12 of my family including 5 non-meat eaters and my father and mother -in-law, (90 and 80+ yrs) and my brother-in-law on a mobility scooter all met up at The Grill in southgate for an early celebration of my mother-in-laws's birthday. Why take so many non-meat eaters to a carvery? you may ask. My parents in law love a carvery and it was a treat for them. The expectations of the non-meat eaters ( of which I am one!) was not massively high but we were wrong. We were greeted by a very cheerful chef who went out of his way to accomodate us and we were offered a variety of veggie and fish substitutes, we nearly all went for tuna steaks which were cooked to each persons specificatons and which were kept back in the kitchen until just the right time. The rest of the party were very satisfied by the choice at the carvery. The variety of veg on offer was very impressive and every dish was beautifully cooked. The carrots with fennel were a favourite as were the large yorkshire puddings. Everyone enjoyed themselves and went home satisfied. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was all on one level so no tricky stairs to negotiate. I would go again in the same circumstances and recommended it.

We are crawley residents but very used to decent food and service all over the country. I was pleasantly surprised tonight at how well presented and more importantly how delicious the food was. The service was equally great and we WILL be back for valentines day. Chef tony seriously knows his stuff and totally delivers. Don't miss out

Starter and Main were nice, nothing spectacular. However, the Burger at £16 was really horrible. A processed and packed offering, that i was able to "snap" in half. Springy, and really not nice at all. If you want a good burger, go to the "HillSide Inn" in PoundHill - a proper homemade, melt in your mouth lump of yummyness !The rest of the food was good, but again - nothing special.Left dissapointed, gave my feedback to the manager - not sure if they will act on it.

What a great experience, \The Grill,Where did this chef come from, We decided to stop for a bite to eat at the Grill restaurant, my husband and I were on a business trip, the service was excellent and as for the food a GASTRONOMES delighgt, pertfect, we were so surprised that my husband aske to speak to the chef , to our amazement he seemed so young, he explained that he had worked as a chef since leaving school. well done Chef, what an experience...................will tell all our friends,Mr, Mrs s london,

We visited on 11/11/12 for our wedding anniversary and had a simply wonderful evening.On hearing it was our anniversary the head waiter came back with complimentary champagne and strawberries while we ordered which was a nice touch.The food is a carnivores delight - several cuts of steak and various grills with a few vegetarian options. It is not cheap (approx £17-25 for main course) but was of a high standard and beautifully presented. My starter of vodka cured salmon with pistachios was imaginative and tasted wonderful. Hubbys scallops were cooked perfectly. My fillet steak was fantastically presented and the triple cooked chips were the best I have had. Unfortunately there was a small mix up with my steak which was cooked medium rare not medium well - I mentioned this to the waiter and 3 people came up to the table to apologise, including the head chef who then offered us free desserts!I felt a little bad about the fuss as it was a genuine mistake and they quickly rectified it. To be honest - having a short chat with the chef at the table about the menu and his recipe for the fab cured salmon (star anise and cardamom in the vodka apparently!) made the evening and they more than compensated for something that I probably wouldn't have even mentioned -it shows how wonderful the staff are and how much they care about getting it right.The chef mentioned that he had only been there 3 months and was making some changes so its good to see someone so passionate about food in a local hotelThe little touches and attentiveness were spot on right down to knowing we arrived in a taxi and offering to call one for us at the end of the evening.All in all a lovely time and I would return there again in a heartbeat - Highly recommended.

My husband and myself stayed at the Arora on 29th September 2012 and chose the duck and lamb from the menu. We both eat out a lot but have never experienced such an amazing meal as that night. (My husband is a Catering Engineer and spends most days in restaurants, and therefor sampling their delights)We asked to see the Chef to compliment him, and were surprised that he was so young. Edward Groew deserves to be working in a top Michelin Star Restaurant. His food was presented beautifully and tasted out of this world.He informed us that his Mother was french, and we feel this showed through his food.Thank you once again Chef for an amazing foody experience, we shall definitely be back next time we fly from Gatwick.. We highly reccomend this restaurant and wished we lived closer!!A gastronomic experience!!!!

It was an off the cuff decision to eat here and we were really pleased. Really nice dishes, well presented, nicely served and great flavours at a reasonable price.

We visited here before getting the train home! The food was lovely and such value for money! Two courses for 9.95! Add a glass off wine for another £3.00! Great value for a meal in London will go back there again!!

Ho cenato nel ristorante Gallucci che si trova all'interno dell'Hotel Arora a Crawley, il locale è pieno di foto di piatti, ritratti di famiglia e il personale carino e disponibile. La cena è stata buona, il cognome italiano però non deve trarre in inganno, i prezzi sono un po' troppo elevati per la qualità del cibo, che è molto curata e deliziosa, ma alcune influenze anglosassoni si fanno sentire. Il risotto è molto speziato, quasi "indiano", la pasta ottima, al dente ma troppo poco "semplice", non è la nostra pasta insomma ma si mangia bene. Il conto un pochino salato ma data l'ora tarda....andava benissimo.
