Squire's Cafe Bar in Crawley

Reserved a table for breakfast and was seated quickly behind the pillar, after 10 mins we were still waiting to order. Another 10 mins passed and we had to ask to order, the server hadn’t been told that we had been seated there! Drinks arrived quickly and were piping hot. Food arrived a short time later but was like warm, the only thing that was hot was the fried egg. We don’t get a check back from any member of staff so we couldn’t bring this to anyone attention. £40 for a warm breakfast was a total disappointment and we won’t be returning

visited yesterday with work friends, all had jacket potatoes 2 of us asked for cheesy beans, but there was only beans on potatoes, waitress didn't seem to know about the cheese. Mine was a tasty tuna jacket with a small side salad. Bit overpriced for what you get.

Basic lunch with some sandwiches and fries. Server didn't know what Tartare sauce was so asked for some ketchup which came in a tiny paper cup. The food was OK and was a step up from the other garden centre cafes in the area. A big plus was the waitress service (rather than self service) and it pays to have a reservation.

Nipped into our local Squires Cafe today just for a coffee and decided to have lunch, so glad we did, what an amazing Ploughman's we couldn't believe how good it was, we have been disappointed so many times at other places. This exceeded all our expectations plus more. Huge amount of good quality ham, cheeses egg pickles salad etc and a lovely hot baguette at a very reasonable £9.95. Lovely welcoming staff aswell, what more could you want. We will definitely be returning.

went there 20.4.22 and it was really good, all the breakfasts were cooked beautifully, the service was great and the staff were lovely, it’s all been revamped but sadly they were under staffed, although this didn’t bother us as we were there at 9:00 and very few in there. would deffo go back and recommend

Staff remember how I have my latte even when I forget ! Food looks and smells lovely,staff hard working and friendly.

I've visited this cafe several times and each time, met by 'have you booked' yes. Unable to find booking, then queue behind is getting bigger, no you can't enter if you don't have a reservation. Anyway got in and got a table. At least 8 tables I immediately saw were empty and never used during the latest visit. So turning away customers when they have so many empty tables. The plus side is using the app very quick service. Though today advised they had to hand trays over my head to serve customers on another table - they don't appear to know the table numbers as four separate times attempted to serve products to me that I had not ordered. A very hit/miss cafe for service.

Today my friend and I had Christmas lunch at Squires Crawley. The food was excellent, hot and plentiful. Very good wine! The waitress could not have done more for us if we were in a 5 star restaurant, attentive, helpful and very cheerful. She told me she had worked at Squires for 7 years. I live within 5 minutes of Haskins Snowhill but they don’t hold a candle to this excellent cafe bar with comfortable seating, table service and staff who actually work with a smile on their faces. We will definitely be back.

Met by very rude women and what I assume was a manager spoke to my family members in a disgusting way wouldn’t let us order our food while we wait for the food to be cleaned and the proceeds to rudely/aggressively tell us to go look round the garden centre

Went for afternoon treats with my husband and aunt and cousin. Booked online and when we arrived were seated quickly. Used link to order our afternoon tea. Service was lovely and quick. Really lovely experience.

If you want a freshly cooked hot breakfast then look no further than Squires Cafe! Highly recommend this place and will 100% be back!

Maybe this was a bad day. Very long wait to be served. I eventually had the six item breakfast. The 'grilled tomatoes' were hardly cooked and cold, thus inedible to me. The bacon was cold. The scramble as well as being cold was a minuscule portion. The sausages had the potential to be nice but along with the rest of the breakfast were cold. The plate was what would be considered a child size in any other cafe so it is clearly policy to serve tiny portions. The only part that was satisfactory was the coffee. All in all this is the worst breakfast I have ever had in the Crawley area and at £8.25 it represented extremely poor value for money. I won't be going back -- I'd rather go hungry.

We stopped off here on our way to Crawley...often passed it & thought it would be nice to try it. It was very busy ... but we did find somewhere to sit. We placed our order & were served very quick.. The food was nice & fresh & well presented . Good value for money.. The restaurant is nicely decorated.. Will certainly visit again

Visited this cafe in the week I was very impressed with the coffee they serve the food menu is very good. The staff are very polite and friendly and helpful. Will visit again a good venue to meet friends over lunch and a coffee.

Having had a recent poor experience at Squire’s in Reigate, we decided to return to our local Squire’s in Crawley for breakfast on Remembrance Sunday. It was excellent! Staff were prompt, efficient and professional. As a family we ordered their six item breakfast which is such good value. Items were well cooked and piping hot. Clearly there is good, effective leadership in kitchen. All the meals came out together and with our hot drinks, we really enjoyed our mini family get together. Staff cleared and cleaned tables quickly and unobtrusively. Just before 11am a member of staff came round to each table to quietly remind customers about the upcoming two minute silence which was observed impeccably - nice touch. Well done Squire’s Crawley! You really are a class act and an excellent example to your colleagues elsewhere in the Squire’s family. As a postscript, the garden centre itself is really worth a visit too. Beautifully present goods and an excellent Christmas display.

Have had breakfast here several times - always arrived hot and freshly cooked. Good value for money. The restaurant has a pleasant seating area. The staff particularly have always been helpful and very polite.

This place is quite popular for it’s breakfasts. Personally, I haven’t ever eaten breakfast here but since we live just around the corner, we visit for a nice stroll around the nursery plants and get a cup of tea or coffee. It’s also a good place for a leisurely coffee or tea or even a small snack lunch. Prices are similar to a well-known chain of coffee houses. Staff are normally pleasant and food is decent.

9 choices each and a pot of tea. Excellent customer service all very friendly waitresses and waiters all working very hard. Breakfast, good choice of eggs, bacon, waffles, mushroom, beans, toast, etc.

Hot day so looking forward to a nice salad. We were not disappointed. We both chose the salmon with avocado. Ordered at the bar served by a very cheerful waitress. Really good. Also helpfully got our cutlery which we were supposed to get ourselves. People on next table had the tennis tea which also looked yummy.

Came here for a cooked breakfast and wow! This has place serves the best cooked breakfast I have ever eaten! Fast and friendly service with the food served piping hot! There is even a nice little area to sit outside in the sunshine if you wish. Will be back!

We have been here a few times now for breakfast and just coffee. Breakfast is lovely. One of the best we have had out. You can choose a certain amount of items to have. The service is always quick no matter how busy they are and the staff are always friendly. We would definitely recommend eating here. It is good value for money too. Would definitely go back.

The voucher encouraged us to visit today. I had the scampi which was a little disappointing. Two with no filling so will avoid this dish. Had it with a side salad instead of chips. Loads of lettuce but very little cucumber or tomatoes so a bit uninteresting as salads go. My friend had the salmon salad and she fared better. Wonderful young waiter really cheerful and he works so hard. Give him a rise.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Excellent chicken and bacon ciabatta that was fresh, tasty and quick. Came with a side salad. Piping hot cappucino. Will definitely return again.

Good customer service. Clean eating area. Reasonably priced with a good choice of British food. Easy to park. Plenty of seating area although quite busy for a Thursday. Food prepared fresh and brought to your table.

We often pop to squires on my day off to have a breakfast together, after the school run. This time we both had poached eggs and avocado on toast.

Visited here today to be pleasantly surprised, a lovely coffee shop with a great selection of snacks and light bites, a wide range of coffee and teas! Very friendly and attentive staff, will deffo visit again soon!

Well what can be said....Lovely cup of tea,the rest of the food looked delicious,was nearly tempted but managed to resist...Pricewise for two cups of tea,like every other garden centre...

Not impressed this visit.we gad tea and scones with cream and jam.....looked lovely but stones were stale.

All freshly cooked, good ingredients, only things i didn`t like was you have to buy a pot of tea at the same price as "tea and cakes" would have been nice to have a mug option and my wife tells me the coffee wasn`t very good but i would go back and i recommend

He estado en este café muchas veces y volveremos. Tienen tartas y galletas, no preciosa una vasta colección, pero eso está bien. Hay mucha variedad de bebidas y el personal es muy amable. Después de pasar tiempo en una taza, pasear por el jardín.

Fuimos con la familia. El personal era agradable y servicial, a diferencia de muchos lugares estos días. Teníamos desayuno, que era mejor que wetherspoons y charlies en el polígono industrial. No hay mucho más que decir, pero realmente criticar techo descapotable automático Volvería de nuevo.

Buen lugar para ir por una bebida caliente, una buena variedad de pasteles, comida caliente y sándwiches. Iv estado allí por la mañana y la hora de comer, es un buen momento ya que no estaba ocupado, agradable para una taza más tienen una buena...

Es un restaurante muy popular, la comida está por encima de la media, una larga espera para la comida, pero está bien. Es limpio y los frigoríficos están bien equipados artículos comprobar comida pic

Realmente disfrutamos de nuestro viaje al centro del jardín, con su café. La gama de pasteles y bebidas calientes eran satisfactorios y delicioso. Volveríamos de nuevo!

Been here a couple of times for breakfast and I like the quality of the food and the atmosphere of this place. It's kind of like the self service in some Sainburys or Morrison cafe style but better quality and service. A lazy morning breakfast visit would do at this place.

Dropped in for an early lunch. Delicious eggs benedict salmon supreme. Coffee lovely and hot. Not the cheapest but worth the money.

This is a lovely cafe with a great menu, friendly staff & nice atmosphere. The service was fast & the food tasty. Definitely recommend.

Have been coming to this little coffee shop now for many years. It has now expanded and breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas are all available as well as a special menu for Christmas which is 3 courses! They have a wide selection of snacks and light bites available too and wonderful cakes. It is family friendly and they have a children's menu also. There is an outside area for warmer days or for smokers to use. The staff are absolutely lovely and very welcoming. I myself go at least once a week for tea/coffee and cake and my family are also regulars.

To all Illy Coffee people.. Illy is served here, which is brilliant. Also a good range of food including a good value breakfast. Quality was reasonable. But it's the coffee that wins here.

Me and my children go in here after we do the create and grow activities in the centre. We are always greeted with a smile and staff interact with my children there is a good variety of flavoured drinks for them. They enjoy coming in here as they aren't ignored and treated the same as every other customer :)

Popped in here for a breakfast and was pleasantly surprised.The service was with a smile, and the girls on the till were fairly patient whilst we did our best to order as it was a choice of either 6 or 9 items for the fry up option. The cafe itself is bright and airy, so perfect for a pit stop with it's range of seats (either dining chairs or comfy relaxing options). They do a selection of breakfasts and snacks, and seems fairly popular due to the local voucher promotions that they do.When my coffee and milk arrived, there was a slight sprinkling of either coffee grounds or compost... not sure exactly what but it wasn't as hideous as it sounds and definitely not worth making a fuss over, we were in a garden centre after all. Whilst the 6 or 9 item breakfast is fab for someone like me who loves a fry up but is fussy about whats in it, I would recommend that they make it clearer as to what counts as an item. I.e. Hash brown is served as a portion of 2, whilst toast is served as a portion of... er one slice (albeit a large one but still one slice). Therefore my breakfast ended up being primarily made up of bacon and hash browns. I would also use bigger plates as there wasn't much room for manoeuvre. Anyway, it was all quite nice and reasonable, just adds up as pricier than a regular fry up when you add the teas and coffees (came to around £9), otherwise, definitely a great little find and definitely one I would visit again. Be ideal for locals that just want to get out of the house, and have a catch up with friends in what feels like someones conservatory!
