Garden House Hotel in Wiltshire

My son recently stayed here (pre-booked by the people he was visiting for an interview). He hasn’t got an account with Tripadvisor but insisted I give feedback on his behalf because he was so impressed. The staff were excellent and hospitable and the hotel was lovely. The staff were so kind and drove him to and from the train station. The whole experience certainly calmed his nerves; the Garden House will be fondly remembered and he has promised to recommend you to anyone looking to stay down that neck of the woods. The Garden House Hotel is run by a lovely couple who have been in the hospitality for many decade. I arrived with my Dad after a three hour long car journey (prolonged by the fact that we got lost in Westbury for about half an hour...) and were immediately warmly greeted by the hosts who offered us drinks. They were extremely kind throughout the evening making me more than welcome, encouraging to treat the hotel as if it were my own home. The Hotel itself is extremely well-kept and furnished, apparently having been originally a spartan post-office which the owners gradually converted. The warm and very domestic feeling of the hotel reflects the dedication which the owners have put into making the Garden House as hospitable as possible. For those interested in completing the AOSB briefing or in Main Board itself at Leighton House I would definitely recommend the Garden House Hotel. It has seen generations of applicants pass through its doors and the owners are consequently very familiar with the officer selection process. They were very helpful, providing me with copies of newspapers to read as well as driving me to Leighton House itself. Overall I had an extremely pleasant time and regretted I could not have stayed longer.
