Disappointed with the quality of this bakery. During a recent visit, I asked if they had any ham/cheese croissants. I was told they'd be ready in 10 mins, so came back after 8 mins and still had to wait another 10 even after asking someone in between those last 10 mins! It was placed in a box to take away but when I opened it, it was completely overcooked and half of it had an awful burnt taste. I would have been better off buying breadsticks from Sainsbury's down the road! Definitely won't be coming back here again, especially when I paid almost £5 for this product! I placed this order at approximately 10:45am.

First time at Gail’s and I don’t think they’re known for their bagels so maybe ordering one was a mistake. Unfortunately a bit too dense and chewy for me but the filling was great. Would love to come back and try their pastries or maybe their overnight oats. Also I love the way everything is laid out in the shop!

Wonderful Bakery Experience at GAIL’s in Oxford Jericho! We recently visited GAIL’s in Oxford Jericho and had an absolutely delightful experience. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere immediately set the tone for a perfect afternoon treat. We ordered coffee, cinnamon buns, and croissants, and everything was simply delicious! The coffee was rich and smooth, complementing the freshly baked pastries beautifully. The cinnamon buns were soft, perfectly spiced, and not overly sweet, while the croissants were wonderfully flaky and buttery – just what you’d expect from a top-quality bakery. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack, a relaxing coffee, or a place to enjoy some quality baked goods, GAIL’s in Jericho is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oxford's Gail's Jericho is a charming café that receives a respectable four stars. It's the ideal location for both fast coffee breaks and lengthy brunches because of its cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a wide selection of freshly baked items that are overflowing with flavour, ranging from fluffy croissants to hearty sourdough loaves. The coffee is excellent; it is always beautifully made and fragrant. A comfortable mood is facilitated by the staff's friendliness and attentiveness. The meal is excellent and the whole experience is worth it even though the costs are a little on the expensive side. A must-see for everybody passing through Jericho!

I’m a Canadian living in Scotland and have been working on and off in Oxford for approximately 8 months. I was staying in the Jericho area and Gail’s became my ‘go-to’ local coffee shop/bakery! First and foremost, the staff are all fabulous, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about all products. A huge shout out to Kyle. You’re so welcoming and kind. A friendly smile and chat at a local place goes a long way and makes you feel like a part of a community. I can recommend many of their delicious baked goods, especially the blueberry muffin, quiches, amazing sandwiches and a tasty variety of warm drinks. I couldn’t recommend Gail’s Jericho enough! First time at Gail's in Oxford (Jerico). Good coffee and cake. The sea salt caramel banana pecan cake. Tastes lovely but think it needed more moisture/gooeyness. How about putting a gooey centre in it. Had in late afternoon so perhaps a little dry. The cake title certainly sounded pure heaven. Gails was busy. Naturally quite a few students here drinking coffee and using laptops. There is some outdoor seating. Great place to watch the student world go by. Great service

Very disappointing. The coffee is usually fabulous in all Gails and an amazing choice food. But the service in this branch is appalling and nothing like the other branches I often use. One of our coffees was served almost cold and when we asked for it to be warmed up the person serving slammed it back down in front of us - just so rude and giving the impression they couldn’t care less. The place also could benefit from a good clean. One toilet out of action and the other absolutely gross and the general serving and sitting areas all a bit sticky and in need of a wipe down. Such a shame as I usually love a visit to other Gails.

After a long wait, I was finally served a bowl of almost completely cold porridge at breakfast time. I took it back to the counter and asked for a replacement, which was handed over without apology and with an expression of extreme annoyance! Second bowl was just as cold and also contained uncooked lumps. Very unpleasant and a total waste of money. Didn't have time or will to go back up again, given the crowds and unfriendly reception the first time. Also found toilets to be dirty and smelly. Wouldn't recommend and won't return. Very disappointing! We wanted a bite to eat and a coffee but there was no space. ALL tables were taken up by people with laptops who did not look as if they were going to leave any time soon. Some of them had an empty cup on the table, others absolutely nothing. We had to take our food away in a paper bag because there was nowhere to sit in comfort. Why do the staff allow non-consumers to take up all their tables for hours on end when customers who would happily spend money there on a regular basis can’t get a table! We will not be back!

The service is pretty quick, a long queue doesn’t last long, and you’re up at the tills in no time. The service at the till I found very comprehensive and friendly. Trying to deal with a shortage they had. So that was great. Then came the chap who does the coffee. Honestly, such a difficult and under interaction, and ended up getting my order wrong. I explained no cinnamon was no cinnamon… Got really arsey with me, said he had to make it again. Went back ti the girl I ordered with explained and then she started saying it wasn’t added on top, so they didn’t write anything… I’m not sure how else to explain no cinnamon. The cups were unclean, and when I asked for some sugar was told they didn’t have any! I was studying at Oxford this summer, and was told I had to go try the cinnamon buns at Gails. I got a cinnamon bun, and on a whim grabbed a chocolate cherry scone too. Don't get me wrong, I liked the cinnamon bun - it was huge, a good texture, and flavorful, but the chocolate cherry scone was amazing! I went back several more times just for that. It's not too sweet, the mix of fruit and chocolate provides great balance, and the scone is a great consistency - not too dry like some can be. I am back in the States now, but I will definitely return on my next trip to enjoy more delicious scones!

I visited this pub today with two friends whom I hadn’t seen in a year. I chose this place because I had enjoyed it during previous visits, and I thought it would be a great spot to catch up, especially with its lovely outdoor area. However, my experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, I found myself standing around tables, unsure of where to check in. The staff passed by without acknowledging us, and there was no service as I had experienced in the past. We ordered starters and mains, only to be told there would be a 45-minute wait and that all dishes would be served at the same time. While the food was good and the view lovely, the poor treatment from the staff was unacceptable. I left feeling very dissatisfied.
