GAIL's Bakery Balham in Wandsworth

Una encantadora tienda bien surtida, el mostrador está lleno de deliciosos artículos de panadería. Tanta elección, siempre ocupado, y todo se ve tan bien. Lo malo es que no calientan el croissant, y la mantequilla está dura, ¡y no tienen azúcar blanca para tu té! Los asientos son bastante apretados, y mucha gente usa el tiempo que pasa allí como una oficina! Tantos en sus portátiles.

Entramos, nunca habíamos estado antes, antes de siquiera haber mirado, ¿puedo tomar su orden...? Creo que estaban entrenando al nuevo personal... Pedido nuestro desayuno. Tomó el número de la mesa... encontró una mesa abajo. Comida y bebidas llegaron. ¡No hay azúcar, no nos dijeron que la lleváramos arriba! ¡Sin azúcar blanca! Tuve que pedir una taza para mi té, otra vez arriba mantequilla dura. La leche aparentemente fresca de la granja tenía grumos. Decepcionado.

Our favorite! We go there every time we are in the area. The pastries are delicious and the coffee is very good. They are very efficient which we appreciate. Outdoor seating is limited. We always enjoy our visits.

We were excited to try Gail’s Bakery as the cakes and pastries looked great but the service here is so appalling that it has put us off ever going back, to any of its stores. We ordered breakfast to eat in and the toast arrived burnt and the eggs we ordered were given to someone else. The lacklustre, disinterested staff seemed entirely unconcerned that they had given the wrong order, and left it up to us to wait for and then realise that our food was not coming. We requested a refund and left hungry. Our plan was to have breakfast and then buy some cakes and pastries to take back with us, but we decided against spending any more money here because of the service. Whoever is training the staff so poorly needs firing.

A lovely, warm and welcoming place. Highly skilled and very professional staff. Amazing food and really good coffee.

I have to say they are thé nicest peope i have met. I searched London far and wide for a homemade traditional scone while visiting London. I entered thé shop.Be warned you need to pay with a card, and i didn't know that at all, i had thé Money cash ready but non card.so i was liké well it's over. And what do you know thèse Amazing people gave it to me , that was just si nice i was just in disbelief. Now such an act of kindness was Amazing, but it gets better. The scone itself was absolutely Amazing, it was rich crispy buttery fresh and still light, a great treat and wonderful people.
