Gabrielle's in Redcar and Cleveland

Love the music in here enjoyed my first cappuccino but not the second which I had later in the day too strong.As I was on a day trip got a ice cream to eat before boarding the bus home, so disappointing ,rum and raisin my favourite but I had to spit out every raisin because they were hard.Thid has put me off for good and won't be having ice cream again which is a shame because Iove the atmosphere.

Got charged £9.49 for a cookie dough dessert. It was an an absolute rip off. 2 measly scoops of ice cream when my son wanted whippy ice cream and he never ate the but if cookie dough in the bottom as it tasted funny. Never again!

Staff appeared friendly. Reasonably priced considering portion sizes Food was very well presented and very tasty. Nice clean venue.

I recently visited Gabrielle’s of Redcar and I am eager to share my experience with you! I had the “kinderella” sundae, it was lovely, definitely a taste of kinder. Very creamy ice-cream, perfectly done. The parlor was set out like modern take on a 60s ice-cream parlor. The service was quick considering it was busy. The downfall of it being so busy was that we had to wait a little bit before actually getting a seat. Overall it was great, very tasty ice-cream and lovely atmosphere. The price is a little more than other ice-cream shops in the area but it taste and presentation makes up for this. I would recommend visiting Gabrielle’s if you are in the area. For ice-cream lovers this is the place to be! On a scale of 1-5 I would give Gabrielle’s a 4. The only reason I dropped a rating was because we had to wait a little which could be justified by the popularity however whilst eating our desserts we where getting looked at which made us feel like we had to rush our dessert in order for people to have the table.

Drove through Redcar today and stopped at Danielle's for ice cream. Wow, the ice cream is so creamy its delicious. I got a bubblegum top and couldn't believe how low the price was. I'll be making sure I go back if I'm passing through Redcar again.

Purchased 3 small drinks. 2 small ice blasts and 1 small milkshake. Was charged £15.39!!! The drinks came and they were small and nothing to them. Really not worth the money at all. Purchased outside hut and asked to wait at the side was stood there 10 mins before even handed my milkshake. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.

Great ice creams, always a good choice and never other than superb. Reasonably priced and ‘Yorkshire Portion’ in size. How can folk not give a full five?!!

First time visiting Gabrielle’s at redcar. Lovely place, nicely decorated and clean. Plenty of friendly staff who were very helpful. Lovely desserts and ice creams, will definitely return if we’re in the area.

This experience deserves a 0 start review the manager had a disgusting attitude!!!! Me and my family went out for some ice cream. We order to go and while I was eating I found BLACK hair inside my ice cream (am a blonde) I went back and asked for a refund because I felt ill after seeing hair inside my ice cream. The manager said she can’t give me a refund and gave a stupid reason why she couldn’t when I refused to get a replacement because seeing hair in your food is disgusting 🤢 so she snatched my ice cream out of my hand and also injuring me by scratching me she then threw my ice cream in the bin and walked away. And then she told her team to just ignore me this is appalling the worst experience ever!!!! This woman who so called a manager needs to get checked

I suppose I will start by saying we're not a young couple and my wife just wanted a cup of tea on our lovely day out in Redcar, Me, I wanted a posh Milkshake! Anyway we called in here and were well impressed with the 60/ 70 American diner look and feel including the music! So we ordered a tea and a milkshake, the £7.99 milkshake (and yes it was £7.99! But I thought I would treat myself) was delivered to the table within a few minutes and looked fantastic in its large metal jug type container. But when I started drinking it with the straw from the bottom it was quite watery really, you could taste the milk but no salted caramel or ice-cream, so I headed for the top with the spoon and hit the large amount of squirty cream theat had a little trickle of ice cream topping sauce on in, I presume this was the salted caramel bit! Anyway after shifting the mass of squirty cream I cot to the ice creamy milk shake, unfortunately still not a nice creamy texture and not much flavour at all, it tasted like cheap ice cream that hadn't blended properly with the milk and was like lumps of ice. Maybe this is what modern Milkshake should be like but give me a MC Donald's shake over this any day! Loved the place but hated the shake unfortunately

Long wait for overpriced poor quality food,on top of which we were charged 60p a glass for tap water!

Great place, amazing desserts. A welcome rest stop from the rain and cold. Great staff, Inside was bright, clean and fun . Also serves hot drinks and savoury snacks.

Staff are rude. Mostly stood rolling there eyes at customers. Front serving hatch was filthy. Ice cream was vile tasted like sick this was vanilla flavour and its not the first time we have been here but i thought we would try it again. Never again for the overpriced ice cream and ride staff! The staff definitely need to customer service training. Really long ques so was expecting something great or average but this was poor.

Would not recommend going to planet kidz in Redcar (linked to Gabrielles) unless you want to be shouted at and spoken to like crap! Visited planet kidz and ordered a parmo for £7.50 when we received it, the parmo was burnt around the edges and a little tough to chew my child only managed 2 small strips from the middle , I decided to say something. To be told that’s just how they serve it here and and because he has eaten half they wouldn’t refund as that’s just not what they do. And the lady and gentleman both walked off, when I asked them not to walk off as I’m talking he shouted and said ‘how about you leave us to do what we do and go’ DO NOT GO IF YOU WANT RUBBISH FOOD. Before anyone says, it’s a soft play, I do not expect to pay £21 for food in total to have every dish have Atleast 1/2 or more of the food left! Someone on the table opposite waited 25 minutes for chips and curry cause to be told they’d made the curry wrong so would be a little longer and he said it’s fine stick gravy on instead. Two minutes later a bowl of chips with very watery curry was brought out. *update* Was offered a refund and voucher by a fake account. Spoke to the lady in the red top who told me this and also told me, that the two staff members shouting at me were the OWNERS! If you speak to customers like that, I wonder how you treat your staff! 🧐🫣 I visited them between 1255-230 on 3rd July 2022!

Took my grandchildren there today and was very disappointed. Although the table looked clean it was sticky so moved to another which was just the same. Bought 2 coffees and 2 ice creams. The ice cream choice was good. A child was sick on the floor. A young member of staff put out a sign on the floor but it took the child's mother to ask if they were going to clean it before someone came to do it. It wasn't cleaned very well. Also children standing on a table in a booth, not the staffs fault but when the tables aren't getting cleaned properly I dread to think what was on that table. All in all not a very good experience, won't be going back anytime soon

I've visited Gabrielles a couple of times, it's always been ok, great decor but standard range. Today, staff were unsupervised and the service was terrible. Filling a bucket for the floor cleaning from the hot water boiler then putting the floor bucket on the counter you prep food on isjust disgusting. Hor water in to a jug then in to bucket is surely more unsanitary. The wait at the counter was not needed given the amount of staff but all were behind the counter and I got a nice eye roll from the dark haired girl who eventually served me. There was a gent who appeared more senior but was not managing ?? The icecream is ok but alot needed in terms of training the young staff as it puts you off going back seeing a lack of attention. What they do isn't special enough for poor service.

Been twice in one week and both times amazing. The waffles are lovely and you won't go away hungry, if anything struggle to finish them off. Took the whole family and they all love it. We will return.

Came here on a trip to Redcar, used the outside takeaway window, service was good, even accommodated me doing Veganuary with vegan strawberry and chocolate ice cream! The normal rainbow tops ice creams looked amazing too and £10 for 4 ice creams so good price

£5 for a thrown together one scoop of ice cream. Very poor value, I won’t ever go back. The floor was covered in food, the staff were rude, all in all one to avoid. Don’t be conned by the bright lights and outside ambiance.

We normally buy from the outside of this place and they’re normally quite quick with the service. We decided to sit in today, that was a poor choice! There was hardly any customers and about 6 staff; yet we still waited for 15 minutes for 1, yes just 1 ice cream. It wasn’t anything fancy either, just a bubblegum too! This place plays the best music but at a volume so loud you can hardly hear eachother talk. The milkshakes are fab but the food is really, really poor. Went to the loo to hear myself think, only to discover the loo is also a wannabe nightclub. Avoid!

Quite expensive, but the Ice creams, cones and pancakes we got where very nice. Had to look for a clean table and staff seemed miserable, not the most welcoming. But the music and the decor where lovely.

All I can say is I'll never return to this place ever again, immature ignorant untrained staff with attitude problems too keen on cleaning to provide a service to the public, I was that annoyed with the way we were dealt with that we upped and left and visited paccitos, was really looking forward to my ice cream here but unfortunately the service I received didn't warrant me spending my money in this place, its a shame as it looks lovely inside, but who would realistically want to sit and eat whilst staff are cleaning around you hours before the place shuts

Very disappointing !!! as a larger lady with bad anxiety, I my husband and son arrived at 18.40 which doesn’t close until 9 to the place being cleaned, with wires over the shop where we had to walk, there was only booths to sit in I explained I feel so bricked in could we just sit at a normal table to be told no they have been cleaned so area is shut to be offered 2 other booths I contacted the Facebook page to basically get the same poor attitude which is probably why the staff have such a poor attitude

We called in for ice creams, 5 people covering 3 generations. All the ice creams were delicious, my wife enjoyed her jacket potato and coffee and the Diet Coke was well , Diet Coke. The service was very quick and friendly and the prices weren’t at all bad, no wonder the place was busy.

Went here for the first time with the family for my grandsons 4th Birthday..only one other table was occupied at the time of our vist but we tried to sit down at two other tablets to find they were both sticky and dirty . We found the icecream ok not the best for the price. The girls were ok but their aprons were filthy, very off putting in a food environment. personally i think the place is overpriced, loved decor. We visited here for the first time today and was very impressed! The ice cream and latte's we had were lovely. The decor is great like a diner feel and staff kept the tables clean and tidy.

There is an amazing range of different ice creams and deserts (mine had real candy floss with it!)

Best ice cream in the north east. The cherry bakewell flavour is fantastic and so is the Parma violet one. Wouldn’t go anywhere else Xxx

We came here on the 2nd of March and sat in a booth, where my daughter had strawberry ice cream and her cuson had chocolate in a tub.

I’ve been wanting to try a monster shake for ages and I wasn’t disappointed. I was served quickly and it didn’t take long to arrive. Lovely decor.

visited with my husband and twin granddaughters booth was clean girls had cones with sprinkles good size for the money i had lemon top tub and my husband had brownie sundae all delicious and served quickly but was not very busy second visit and enjoyed the atmosphere

Was really looking forward to eating here the ice cream was totally flavourless after trying the chocolate icecream flavourless after having three spoons it left a film in my mouth none of our group finished there icecream. We visited last night, the place was empty, the girls all looked miserable, they were more interested in the baby that they were playing with where the food was getting made, none of our food came at the same time, lemonade was flat or watered down and I asked for it to be changed then the girl opened a bag of ice and used her bare hand to throw some ice cubes into it! Two Ice creams ordered, both vanilla, bland and awful. One was cream coloured and the other white??? Nearly ,£8 for which were basically two ice creams a mini chocolate flake and tiny round wafer and a drizzle of syrup was a rip off!

I took my grandchildren yesterday for a treat. The price is OK for an ice cream cone but we sat in and the children asked for waffles with ice cream. The colours of the ice cream are very bright and the flavours quite synthetic. They arrived quickly but the coffees I also ordered took a long time. There was staff standing around looking lost while others served the people outside with ice cream. Only one person could use the coffee machine and he was also serving tables. I ended up having to ask 4 times for my coffee. He did apologize for my long wait but there should be more than one able to use the coffee machine. Also the girl who eventually brought it looked bored and fed up while a couple of others looked as though they had no idea what to do. Someone has spent a lot of money on this business. I do hope it works out for them but some staff training is needed quickly.

Very impressive décor, couldn't believe I was in Redcar and I loved the rock and roll music and cool lighting. There is a mixture of seating areas and we chose a booth which my niece and nephew loved. Great place for a treat, however the prices were pretty steep. My nephew was impressed with his multicoloured ice cream but my niece was less than impressed with her milk shake which came in a really big metal container (too big for a child) and was covered in a thick layer of very sweet 'cream' which she didn't like. The menu was too basic and did not explain what you were getting for your money.

Visited today for the 1st time I can say never again I had the chocolate top tasteless no flavour very artificial, it’s left a film on the roof of my mouth like grease. So disappointed complete waste of money
