G Casino Brighton in Brighton and Hove

I preferred this place a few years ago when it was a bit more lively. Back then it was a Casino but they also had shuffle boards, electronic darts, american pool and karaoke rooms. It was pretty much a place where you could spend all evening and was perhaps aimed at younger people in Brighton. Now it's back to being a quiet casino with not much atmosphere but I can understand it, It's now quite professional again but there's not much variety.. Just Blackjack and Roulette. They used to have Craps/Seven-Eleven tables etc. Good service from the waiters who walk around the game tables asking if anyone needs drinks etc.

Alex and Jonathan were phenomenal bartenders and created such an amazing environment in the casino they were amazing and deserve the best I can’t say how much they made the experience so great!!!

The atmosphere has gone downhill since the dress code is now very very casual shorts sliders and a t shirt. On top of this it is not a casino really but has become a rougher sports bar. It seems you come here to watch television and be served by a very unfriendly barman. Quite clearly there is vast room for improvement.

Decent place. Spacious. Friendly staff. Maybe 20/25 slot machines and then tables so not loads to do but managed to waste some money in there all the same!

Very rude abusive night staff .who refused me entry said I was drunk .when I don't drink .then said I was homeless bit tired then said I was vundible carnt play .I am a member and have never ever been treated this way .I was only coming in try a fiver for bit fun I don't have gambling problem have over 8grand in the bank .I feel very let down upset will be taking the mater to head office

Freindly staff, nice atmosphere. They have just doubled min bet on blackjack to £10, which is a real shame.

Removed shuffleboard, pool table, and darts, which is a real shame. It set it apart from other casinos in the area

Used to love this casino for the variety of pool, darts, shuffleboard and gambling. New management have removed karaoke, pool, darts and shuffleboard, not worth visiting without them.

So, I went down, and I decided I was gonna have a little drink and some food with some pals. First I tried to order a veggie burger which they said costed £6.50 and then tried to charge me £13. Ended up going for these vegan buffalo wings and they came, and they were very much not vegan, so I went up and said these aren't the vegan ones, and the woman was unbelievably rude, trying to gaslight me, insisting those were the vegan ones. When I finally got her to go speak to the guy cooking she was like "yeah we made a mistake", it wasn't the messing up of the order that made me feel like writing this, just the pure lack of accountability.

What a great place every area of staff are fantastic so polite and friendly and on the ball. And food was amazing big thank you for a great weekend look forward to returning 😀

Came in from out of the storm, had nice pizza and few drinks. Staff running food area top class, really friendly and chatty. Played on roulette machines. Both food and drinks fair price.

Great place to play poker - engaging and friendly cardroom staff who make you feel welcome and decent game as well

They removed all the shuffleboard, darts board, pool table games.... and replaced them with chairs and tables as new management wants a "different type of clientel" real shame

Minimum £2 on the roulette, loads of young lads being rowdy when we visited. But clean, tidy and the staff are lovely. The are nicer casinos in town though

I recently came into a massive amount of money and thought I'd head here to increase my wealth and meet some other high rollers. So I was on a mad winning streak making a scene and attracting a crowd. Everyone was so impressed by me that I really felt I'd found my people and my calling. First I receive a huge inheritance and then I double it in one night? Someone up there is smiling down on me and I need to ride this wave as far as it will take me. So I find the richest guy there. And he is the richest- you can tell. I say "rock paper scissors winner takes all" and he agrees. I throw rock, him scissors. I've won his entire fortune making me probably the richest person in Brighton at that moment. I'm beyond elated. I'm writing down my bank details so he can transfer me when a smirk comes over his face. He says he wants to guess my dominant hand. If he's wrong I can have his boat and mansion, if he's right I give him back his fortune plus mine. This might sound like a foolish risk but what you don't know is that I'm left handed. For those who are not left handed, we are massively in the minority. There's no reason he would guess left. I take the deal, he guesses left and now I'm broke again. I'm walking out with a gobsmacked expression and someone comes up to me and explains. I was so drunk I had used the mens toilet with the stall door open, wiping with my left hand like usual. And he had seen. Christ that guy is good. Some people are just born to be rich.

Fantastic fun. Will return when I feel lucky!!! Cannot fault the staff or location of G Casino. I will brush up my betting skills next time though.

It's really cool, especially if you go with some friends, but you can get addicted VERY easily, so be careful or you'll lose all your pounds! It's only for adults, so there's no point trying to do the Brazilian way and take people under 18 :/

Remarkably close to my hotel. A warm welcome and a good cash game. Quiet at the beginning of the week. Good valet service.

Came here on my Hen Do to do Karaoke with a group of about 25 of us. Karaoke facilities are spacious and the sound quality is decent apart from one mic kept feeding back, the room was boiling hot and the air con wouldn't work and they have a really limited song selection. Missing a LOT of Disney, Basically no Musical Theatre, huge holes in pop songs and some artists only having one track available etc. Also had to call for help at one point as it crashed. Main issue was needing ID at the front and forcing every single person to sign up to their marketing including phone calls and unable to opt out and told you can only opt out in person. Our whole group were over 30 years old but at no point had the organisers of the Hen do been told ID was needed despite having a lot of emails back and fourth with the casino. This meant at least 6 of our group didn't have it and they wouldn't accept photos of ID. Three had to go back to the hotel to get it and they allowed the final 4 in due to our party size. We also had dinner at the casino which we had pre ordered, the menu sent to the organisers was ordered from only for them to be told it was 4 years out of date, they had to re order everyone's food and a lot had changed from the menu. We asked food to arrive all together as not everyone had starters but the food came out so far apart that some people had finished two courses before other people's food came out at all including myself the Bride and the Groom who was with us who got served last. The food was adequate and on par to a Weatherspoon's apart from the vegan burger which I was told was inedible.

Casino is good but i dont like 1 dealer today whose name is cosimo i think .... No fair play 1 couple is Playing on whole table and only lady is playing his husband just seating on the another chair and i want to play on that table but no space because the whole table is covered with that couple even dealer is not asking him to give space

Great experience going to enjoy a live UFC fight night and some drinks.

Over 1 hour wait for our already pre booked karaoke, turned up and wasted time going through getting memberships which we didn’t realise we needed to do then we were told our karaoke slot which we paid £300 for was delayed and we had to stay paying for expensive drinks for an hour and complaining at midnight. Go lucky voice!

Really impressed at this casino. Spread over a few floors. It's exceptionally clean and tidy with a modern interior. There was a lot of staff about to help, every single member of staff were so friendly and helpful. They were always buzzing around tidying and cleaning. Having all the usual table games and slots along with a huge big screen tv and pool. It was good fun. Definitely will return next time I'm in the area.

What kind of ragtag team do they have employed here. Felt like everyone had been picked up from the local circus. The only reason I’m giving an extra star is for John the dealer give that man a raise he’s very quick.

Booked for weekend brunch in one of the igloos. As other reviewers have stated the igloos are not private so you are sharing a small intimate space with other couples. Didn't bother my wife and I too much, however if you were after a romantic hideaway for food this isn't it. Coffee was nice, though very small cups at around £3 a pop. And the breakfast was average and a bit pricey for what you get. Overall the igloo experience was a bit of a novelty I think - especially in daylight, and is probably better at night when the fairy lights are on. Not bad overall, just not great and wouldn't go back.

Having waited a long time in a queue to book this we were really looking forward to our late lunch in an igloo as a party of 8 - first time catching up with friends in the New Year. Igloo looked amazing, as did the whole square so really couldn't fault the look of the place. We were sat 15 minutes late, but we weren't really bothered by this as the lady on the door was most apologetic and kept us updated. But from the point we were sat down the service went to pot. There is little chance of catching the eye of wait staff when you are in your pod - not a problem, But you would have expected them to pop over on a regular basis to check if you needed anything - not the case. Food was reasonable, and fairly priced, but the wait between seeing staff meant that getting a drink was difficult, as was asking for anything extra. The food order taken by a very disinterested waiter had 3 of our meals wrong, but we decided to eat what we had - picking out the extras we had asked to be removed, and eating the extras that had been added unexpectedly! Drinks never arrived, nor did condiments - we got up and helped ourselves to these in the end. At the end of our visit I fully anticipated our missed 15 minutes to be added to our 2 hour time slot, but we had a harried member of staff asking us how long we would be. I explained that as we sat 15 minutes late, we would leave 15 minutes later. Although they were fine with this, I'm not sure this was communicated to the next party, who just glowered at us and assumed we were dragging our feet. The shame of it was, that if the service had been prompt and correct, we would probably have left earlier than expected, but we spent a long time between staff visits that we needed every part of our time slot - even the bill was incorrect so spent more time having this corrected. Overall, we still enjoyed our time in the igloo, which was an experience in itself, but they really do need to address the lack of service. Some staff were great and on the ball - others not so much.

Visited for a pre dinner drink and have a great selection of ales on tap. Cute rooftop space and heard the Sunday roast is a winner so can't wait to get back there.

They have the best Sunday roast that I have never eaten in my whole experience in UK. Every time that I have visit from friends, this pub is one of my stops. You should pre book on Sunday because is very busy. Great vegetarian options! Local and organic food. Organic beer! Great staff. One of my favourite in town.

Had a fantastic night from the start. Norah greeted us enthusiastically and was so friendly. Deborah our waitress was brilliant and the food was great. Had fun playing on the tables and the casino was really clean. Definitely worth a visit.

Like a youth club. Staff to busy building tallest towers they can with high value chips. Chips flying all over the floors... not a serious casino, but management don't seem to mind. Or rather cashier said this is just their way of having fun. Would not recommend as serious casino.

Yeah - I like it. Good staff and not very casino-y - you can just have a beer and play fun games if you want.

Have only been here a couple of times but can I just say, Bronwyn and Debbie (I am so bad with remembering names I hope that's right sorry) are absolute credits to your company. These two ladies were so brilliant, excellent service and so friendly and quick, it has honestly made our whole evening and I will be returning based on this. It doesn't cost anything to be kind and personable and as someone who works in retail myself I understand the value of a smile and a chat and these two people have really made an impact. Give them a bloody raise and a gin and tonic

Update: you can no longer do 5 pound bets on the outside of roulette tables here, which for someone that only plays for fun and not for money, it's a big shame for me and will probably mean I come here less

Well... what can I say. We came here for a brunch party for my girlfriend and will never come back. The food, a pitiful plate with a slice of toast and scraping of scrambled egg, was more akin to dog food than anything fit for human consumption. The eggs were grey, overcooked, and the smallest portion imaginable. The "bottomless alcohol" was fine, albeit weak, but after being stuck in their queue for 20 mins outside, due to their own delays, I was surprised and annoyed that they ended it the SECOND it hit 2:30pm - no extension to our time to make up for their delays, and no care for our long wait. Any supplementary alcohol was hugely overpriced - more than you'd normally expect or accept from a casino, and the bar staff didnt seem to know how to make most of the drinks on offer. The singers, if you could call them that, were dripping sweat on the customers. That's all I can say about them. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. I wouldnt pay more than £20 for that experience, for the whole table - let alone per head. I don't mean to be harsh or overly critical, but you should know what you're getting before forking out the money for this travesty.

Turned up at 3am by myself. The bouncer asked if I was a member, I said no. He the asked where I'd been, said I just came from a freinds house (I did, I was visiting her for the weekend) he the told me I was to drunk to come in. I do not drink, which I told him and he just repeated "your too drunk" I stepped away and waited for more people to turn up. 3 guys who were very clearly drunk turned up and walked straight in. I pull the bouncer to the side and ask why he allowed them in but not me. To which he said "your too drunk" to which I repeated I do not drink. 5 guys then turned up who were also clearly drunk and being loud. They spudded the bouncer (so they clearly know eachother in some capacity) and he let them straight in.... I guess he didn't like the way I looked so I can only assume they discriminate. Based on cloths / looks. I play with big money so I guess it's their loss.

Good experience in general. Attended for the boxing, which required a pre-booking package to secure a table. Servers (who were all in good spirits and helpful) checked reservation, took us to our tables and beers were provided pretty quickly as per booking. Only issue was bar queue was very long and quite slow (would recommend more staff at an event like this) and the room got quite hot as it was very busy. All that said, great venue to watch big sporting events in and I will return.

Karaoke was cut 15 minutes short due to a double booking, the bottomless part of the bottomless brunch was cut 15 minutes short as well but overall its a good venue with a lot of variety.

Not really sure what’s they have tried to do with the refurb but it is just bizarre. It is now a casino with hardly any gambling space with most of the area replaced with a bar area/pool table etc. Restaurant area reminds me of a leisure centre or school canteen. It used to be a really nice casino albeit it probably could have used a bit of TLC but now it is totally ruined. The staff are also on the whole pretty poor, if you’re in town its worth paying for a taxi and going to the Rendezvous casino. Although it is also not fantastic it is a real step above Pier Nine/ The Grovenor.

Lovely casual casino environment with a pu/bar feel to the upper floor with fun bar games. So if you don't want to gamble still lots to do. Drinks and food prices pretty fair and amazingly your free membership card gets you unlimited soft drinks and as I tend to drive that was a nice touch. Definitely a great concept to make casinos q bit mor eof w mixed Venu and make it a viable first stop on anight out without the need to gamble. Staff super friendly and welcoming

Don't recommend this place at all. Karaoke experience started half broken and didn't take long to get fully broken. Staff were very pleasant and tried to help but were busy and stressed.

Very nice casino but ruined by Rico behind the bar who has an attitude problem and can even put the pint in front of the customer. He needs urgent customer service training

Booked the Den for karaoke and I would not recommend it. For a new venue the room felt tired, the mics were constantly running out of batteries/not working, we got told we were singing too loud (no such thing in a karaoke booth designed for 30 people!) Staff were unhelpful and rude. Would not recommend.

Despite a booking mix up for karaoke for a friend's birthday, we were treated very well and made to feel welcome and accommodatred. Sally-Anne was a great host and made sure we were having a good time. Hats off to her!

Have visited this casino several times before but this was our first visit since the venue had been renovated. Very disappointed with the result. Floor 3 reminded us of an American diner rather than a casino floor. Lots of very empty dining tables, pub type games, some gambling tables and a small section at the back containing some slot machines. We went to the other two floors to check them out. We found the slot machine areas on all floors to be dark, dingy and airless. The young lady serving drinks at the slots on floor 3 was very pleasant but I did not take to the young barman serving behind the bar on floor 3 who greeted me with "Alright Mate?" Never met him before so did not consider him to be my mate! We didnt win anything - just as well as the cash desk on floor 3 was shut and did not spot one on the other floors. Not winning was not a problem! Did not eat or checkout the menus. I note that the Grosvenor Casino in Leicester Square has also been "rebranded" but have yet to visit. Will do soon to compare.

Looks completely different to the old school casino. Parts look good and parts look bad 🤷‍♂️ can see what they tried doing but dunno if it really works. Perhaps on the busier shifts and weekends it's a good atmosphere

Very disappointed especially as they spent so much on the refurbishment and the service I got when I was in there was disgusting waited over half an hour for a drink I ordered then got told they had forgotten, could understand if the place was busy but they were quiet will not be going here again

Awful place. I have been going to this place for years and it was always a nice place to go. Now unfortunately, it's a horrible place! Extremely rude staff (the 'Karen' at reception is the rudest I've ever met). I definitely will never go back. My advise would be to avoid at all costs and go to the welcoming casino in the Marina.

Vibrant venue, offering Las Vegas style casino experience.

We booked a table here expecting a nice respectable cocktail bar as advertised when we Waited inline for half an hour despite our booking and when we did finally get inside we were greeted by rude staff, after signing in we went upstairs to find that we were not welcomed or directed to our table just to what can only be described as a kids club area with a few plastic tables and chairs. We helped our self to a table as there was waiting staff and waited 20 minutes for a drink that was clearly watered down and wrong would not recommend for few drinks at all i am sure the casino facilities are standard however

Whatever has happened here⁉️😳 Dreadful place now! No customers in there either! In fact at 8.15 tonight i saw one person for five minutes🤣😱 You made a huge mistake changing the casino to what it is now. Even the restaurant looked deserted‼️ You will lose money now more than ever without the virus threat. Never going there again. Boring, saw no wins or customers😢👎

Great night out, Carrie. S signed us up for membership and explained a lot of the house rules to us. We went upstairs for something to eat, not a fantastic choice but the food that we ordered was really good. Then off to the tables, croupiers were great at explaining the various bets for us that were novices to casino life. Wouldn’t hesitate to return for another night out in Brighton.

Was the old Grovesnor Casino on the seafront. Recently under gone a huge re fit. Its gone from old traditional style gambling casino, to super modern & slick. Brand new tables, bars, kitchen and menu. Open 24/7 - 7 days a week. you do not need to be a member you can just rock up anytime of day or night. Very handy for after the clubs kick out & you have a few hours to spare till the first train home! Food & drink reasonably priced.

A great place to go before or after beer night, a small stake that will keep you here for a long time

Went in monday and ok it is being refurbed but it was freezing, no heating at all! everyone in their overcoats, not many in anyway, why coldnt they have hired some space heaters from a builders merchants. Typical Rank, absolutely no consideration for their customers, will never return.

Being renovated atm. Casino games still open. wWill good when complete. Keen to try the interactive darts and karaoke. Nice view over the sea and pier
