G Casella in City of London, Westminster

We swerved hotel breakfast and opted to visit this traditional looking Italian cafe, what a fantastic find! The food on display for the lunch crowd looked fresh and appealing however we opted to have the cooked breakfast as it was before 10am. Fresh, great tasting coffee, choice of bread for toast and then a generous serving of breakfast with the most amazing Italian sausages too. This was a filling meal and was great value, cooked to order and with friendly service. The cafe is COVID compliant and felt well looked after. I will definitely go back when I am in the area again. My teenage daughter really enjoyed her breakfast too.

En Londres, justo al sur de Fleet Street por negocios, necesitaba una comida sencilla. Escondido en una de las calles laterales (¿o deberían ser pasajes?) Casella lo proporcionó, y fue muy bueno, además de un servicio cortés y rápido y algo de paz y tranquilidad para recargar el alma antes de aventurarse en el ajetreo y el bullicio que es parte del viejo y palpitante corazón de Londres. テイクアウトでしたが、とても良心的なお値段と内容の美味しいお食事でした。旅行中に再度行ってみたら営業時間が早く終わるようで超がっかりでした。。再度ロンドンへ行く時には是非立ち寄りたいお店です。

He estado trabajando justo al lado de Fleet Street durante 2 días y probé con Casella para almorzar. Sabes que el lugar vende buena comida cuando ni siquiera puedes entrar a la tienda debido a las colas de personas que intentan comer algo. Los precios son muy asequibles, tal vez incluso baratos por la calidad de la comida y el servicio. Disfruté el pollo escolope con jamón extra y Mozerella, y fue fantástico, hay mucho para llenarte y dejarte satisfecho. Muy contento de haber encontrado esta joya, siempre volveré cuando pase.

Amplia gama y variedad de sándwiches y comida caliente al mediodía. Servido en un mostrador pero amable y buen servicio. Antídoto perfecto para las cadenas alrededor y alrededor. Perfecto para el almuerzo.

This place is my ultimate favourite when it comes to a quick lunch. The takeaway pasta is just what i need when I'm at the office. It is so delicious and fresh, i would not go anywhere else locally for this type of food. There is also a large variety in the sandwich options, which is great for people like me who visit so often.

Old school Italian deli sandwish bar which serves pasta and other dishes cooked to order (although a bit pricey for a café). Great takeaway sandwishes made to order. Can't beat a split focaccia with prosciutto sliced to order, tomato and olio.

This cafe is a real gem of a find. Fantastic quality breakfast and brilliant staff. We were just in time before the end of breakfast service and we were so glad. One of the best in London! Highly recommended!

Stumbled across this place last week whilst looking for a coffee and breakfast one cold wet morning. Most cafe's used to be like this back in the 70's and 80's but its hard to find one now. It's the place for a sit-down bacon sandwich, cappuccino or full-English and popular with local city workers, its main clientele. Simple, clean, friendly and a place to remind one of a different time.

Was staying in London for a Christmas break when we came upon this place. Liked the menu so came back for a breakfast the next day. Not disappointed so came back the following day as well! Also had a lunchtime takeaway sandwich. Very good food, freshly cooked and sandwich made whilst we waited. Very friendly staff and efficient, quick service. Excellent value breakfast cooked to our specific requirements. Lovely coffee as well. Would highly recommend a visit and look forward to returning on our next visit to London.

I work in the local area and Casella offers consistently the best food on Fleet Street (which has now been overrun by overpriced, unimaginative and complacent chains). Whether it is a plate of pasta, a simple omelet, a meatball sub or just some cake and tea, Casella is unparalleled in quality and service in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful and always ensure that you have your sandwich exactly as you like it. And the prices reflect reality - which is more than can be said of the surrounding soulless, vapid coffee joints which sell donuts for £3.00. Casella is a caring oasis in a desert of corporate alienation.

This is my naughty big lunch venue when I'm hungry. I usually have a jacket potato with salad to take away. I do get charged a different price every time I go though for the same exact thing lol. Their sandwiches and rolls look very delicious One bad point... if you're waiting for food for longer than one min, usual, then you will come out stinking badly of food ... hair and clothes which is horrible They also only accept cash

They make the best cappuccino in the world I drink it daily .The breakfast is superb service polite and professional.Staff very helpful and friendly Nothing is too much trouble affordable prices ,Fresh produce daily.Recommended by my mum when she visits London

Hidden among the stark buildings of Blackfriars is a quaint little Portuguese cafe run by lovely natives. Always friendly and quick service. The sandwiches are particularly good. Sandwich of choice: ciabatta, chicken, bacon, goats cheese, lettuce and rocket, mayo and black pepper. 10/10

I admit to bias here - I've been coming here for 30 years!! Fresh Orange juice - that means freshly squeezed in the Cafe each day. Bacon Sandwiches & full English as it's meant to be & great Homemade pastas. Where else locally can you get a lasagna made in the kitchen for £7.90? It's a no brainer - when in the area visit - leave the chains alone & support a family & friendly business - even if it's for a coffee & pastry.

This is just off fleet street and easy to miss, but must visit. Its affordable and has some really good quality pastas which are freshly made and taste just like homemade food! The ingredients taste fresh, and they also serve fresh orange juice. Great for a quick lunch from work!

This is my favourite, very local, sandwich/food place...they do a huge range of different things to tempt one for lunch....but I have opted for a take-out jacket potato with melted cheese and tuna mayo and salad - all for £4.00 and in a very good takeaway box - yummy - huge portion, good value for money, the potato is cooked properly and you are always greeted with a nice big smile.

Found this little place tucked away off Fleet Street when looking for somewhere to have breakfast other than our hotel. Fantastic service and the most delicious eggs benedict I have ever had! They also serve a full English amongst other favourites. They prepare fresh sandwiches which looked amazing and the coffee was fab too. Definitely will be returning if we are in the area again.

This is my "local " sandwich shop in proximity terms and they make very nice, reasonably priced fresh sandwiches. They also have a sitting area towards the back and make pasta etc. Very calming from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street
