If you are with a dog on your own how are you supposed to order your food? Dogs (understandably) not allowed in the cafe area - but equally it is not appropriate to leave them outside unattended. So how to do it? It might seem a small thing, but there seems to be an assumption there is also someone else to go and do the ordering.... Went home...

Quite small compared to many NT cafes with a consequentially limited choice, but it’s a pleasant enough spot, at least outside in the courtyard. Inside seating is very limited and lacks much in the way of any atmosphere. Hot food was limited to sausage rolls, pasties and so on in a cabinet next to the ‘fridge, but at about 1:30pm on our Saturday lunchtime visit there was just one item left, so it seems as though there are problems with stock control. I opted for a Millionaire’s Shortbread and this was a very generous portion with a lovely thick and oozy layer of caramel. Across the table a slice of Victoria Sponge was also well received. An accompanying latte was ok, nothing really wrong with it, but I’ve certainly had better. Overall, worth popping in if you’re there anyway, but don’t bother making a special journey.

We loved Fyne Court and the pretty tea room with plentiful outside seating in the rural manner. Staff are very friendly. But we thought the prices were rather expensive. Still, it was worth it to sit in such a beautiful spot, drinking very nice coffee! .

What a con. £3.10 for a cuppuccino which was made with a machine, just press A button and it “makes” a cappuccino in three seconds. Nothing more than an instant Nescafé with Cadbury’s hot chocolate sprinkles on frothed up milk (not traditional steamed milk). The carrot cake might have been nice three days ago when it was made. Tables were also filthy and had what looked like bogeys on them.

Great little cafe with snacks and drinks to help you enjoy your visit to Fyne Court. Before or after your woodland walk.

This is one of the worst NT cafes we have visited. All tables in an out not cleared. Trays of used crockery piling up on the racks We had to queue for 20 minutes for two cups of tea with only 3 people in front of us, thinking there was only one member of staff working, we were surprised there were two not working as a team. Unsure of how to work the microwave and the griddle We asked for a pot of tea for two but no go. Got two teas in cardboard cups with tea bags left in to stew whilst we cleared a table to sit down Training is urgently needed and perhaps a third person to clear tables and wash up

Had coffee and very nice blackberry filled flapjacks which helped give us a boost before we set off along the trails.

Compact cafe offering fairly basic fare, with outside seating overlooking the Court's lawn. Just right for a break while the rest of the family follow any of the 3 (or 4) walks around the grounds. Popular with old and young alike and particularly dog walkers. Serene enough for a solitary sit and relax, yet enough footfall so you don't feel isolated. Birdsong and the sound of children/people laughing drift by.

The location was really good but unfortunately we were eaten alive by midges. Not a peaceful setting exactly as a coachload of children turned up and they were set tasks opposite the cafe. Not a problem to us but they really were noisey if it's peace and quiet you are after. The cakes were okay but a little expensive. Would we use the cafe again? Probably not.

My husband and I had a walk around the grounds of Fyne Court before calling in to the cafe for food/drink. We shared a meat and potato pasty followed by scone/cream/jam (Cream Tea). The pasty and coffee (instead of a pot of Tea) were lovely, but the best bit was the Scone, I don't like fruit Scones, but they had plain scones as well so I was able to enjoy the Cream Tea as well.

I stopped here whilst walking past. The grounds are beautiful and worth exploring. I had the soup which was delicious. Most of the menu seems to be made fresh on site. The staff were extremely friendly as well as hard working.

Fyne Court has to be the best free day out going walking through the beautiful trees and shrubs enjoying the gorgeous little streams/ birds and other wildlife til you come upon the clearings that contain an excellent wooden xylophone and a sky circle when you eventually reach the little cafe you are greeted by cheerful staff that serve excellent drinks and food particularly the scrummy cakes My wife and I love ours days out here with our grandchildren and dogs

We visited on a lovely sunny day so was pleased to be able to eat outside in such a beautiful setting. We had afternoon tea with the most delicious freshly baked scones, they were pretty fairly priced at £3.50 for cream tea. However everything else was way overpriced. The children's juices were either £1.40 for a 200ml box of juice or £1.60 for some sort of 'natural' fruit shoot. For a family w more than one child it becomes an expensive treat for nothing much. Equally my husband was put off the ordinary looking sandwiches by the inflated price tag. Maybe because there is no charge to access the location they need to recoup some costs via the cafe. I'm probably being a bit harsh as I'm about to review the woodland aspect of fyne court and give it five stars!!!

Ideal for a snack whilst the children explore. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Serve decaf tea which is not always the case but vital for me.

Lovely little cafe had a really nice coffee and cake but the children had cans of drink at 1.35 each which I think is very over priced .

Its OK really -the people are volunteers and are nice. The food and drink served is nice - but the prices ! We go to the gardens regularly but avoid the Café as the prices are scary - £10 for 4 hot chocolates (that's a bit of milk and some chocolate powder). Take you own if you have a family.

Very busy café, but incredibly efficient team handling orders so no wait at all really! I had a chicken Sunday roast with extra gravy, they forgot my Yorkshire pudding and I didn't realise that I didn't have one until an hour later lol, oh dear, it's an age thing ha ha! Roast potatoes obviously deep fried, they were rather bland looking and tasting tbh, so oven roasts would have been much nicer as these weren't the best. £11.95 plus a coffee on top, so circa £15 in total. Dinner was nice enough, and the portions are generous also. I would return for the same, but with the Yorkie next time lol, as the service was excellent, very friendly indeed. Sort the roasties out and you're onto a winner! (P.S. I would recommend this place, the deserts looked absolutely gorgeous!)

Awful ! Overpriced ... poor service ! No meals except pastries .... a sausage roll was £6.95 ! I know it's a National Trust and we are members I agree they do a great deal of good. However, with such a prime seaside spot .... loads of families on the beach ...they should offer normal seaside food and priced! We had a coffee and a slice of cake and it came to £20 for 2 of us. Families are struggling at the moment. I can't understand why they don't offer traditional seaside food like a bag of chips, ice creams, lollies, milk shakes etc. They have a prime spot with a captive audience as its the only cafe at Brean down. Felt very dissapointed it could be so much improved !.... prices are Ridiculous !!!!! Service is bad you order then go to another partcto collect , no please or thank you ! I think they love dogs more than people !

Called in on a Wednesday lunchtime as we passed by from Bristol airport on our onwards journey to family. Spotlessly clean, I asked for mayo, the squeezey bottle lid and bottle were spotlessly clean, as was the vinegar lid and bottle, toilets clean and tidy. All staff friendly, nothing was too much trouble - I asked for hot water to top up my pot of tea. We had chicken wraps and skinny fries, chicken was nice and juicy, good value for money. We would definitely go back if we were ever in the area again.
