Fuochi Pizza Experience in Newcastle upon Tyne

The service was terrible, and the food was mediocre. We ordered a vegetable pizza with cheese, a broccoli pizza with cheese, a Caesar salad, and a caprese burrata cheese. After five minutes, the waitress apologized for throwing our order in the trash and returned it. We waited an hour and a quarter for the order to arrive. When we asked about the delay, knowing that other customers had waited half an hour and received their orders before us, the waitress gave an unconvincing answer. It seemed like she hadn’t recorded our order. We tried to cancel the order, but the waitress said it would be delivered within five minutes, but it arrived after 25 minutes. In addition to the poor service, the food was not worth the price we paid. We ordered two pizzas (ORTOLANA with SALSICCIA AND FRIARTELLE), a Caesar salad, a caprese burrata salad, and a soft lemonade. They added a 10% service charge. It was a truly awful experience at this restaurant. Replying In response to your comment about my rudeness to the employee, I want to clarify that what you heard is not true. I asked to cancel the order, which is my right, and I did not say any inappropriate words. Calling me rude reflects your attitude towards customers. Regarding the service fees, I did not choose to pay them, and no one informed me that they were optional. When the appetizers were finished, the waitress removed the plates. It was clear that the main course would be served soon, not after an hour and a quarter of removing the appetizer plates. This lack of professionalism in serving is evident. After reading other negative customer reviews and your responses, I understand the poor treatment that customers receive here. Thank you for your unconvincing reply. I hope you will work on improving your service and food quality to succeed.

It was our first time coming here and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing, our waitress was lovely and answered any questions we had about the menu. The food was delicious and tasted very fresh. Loved this restaurant and will hopefully be back soon!

We had the pleasure of experiencing Fuochi for the first time, and it was a perfect evening. The service was outstanding – the staff were friendly, attentive, and offered excellent recommendations. The pizzas were delicious, and the warm, relaxed atmosphere made for an overall excellent night. We’ll definitely be back!

Ordered from this place on deliveroo. Had high expectations as I love a proper Neapolitan style pizza. Ordered a rustica- essentially a proscuitto, arugula classic pizza (IYKYK) and was disappointed. Proscuitto wasn't fresh and almost tasted like it was going off. Also could not find any parmesan shavings on the pizza as was advertised on the photo.

I wrote in the description to ask if I could have the pizza with no pistachio please, I missed 1 call off the restaurant so I rang them back 2 minutes later. When the man answered he told me that the pistachio was in the mortadella and it was my fault and I should read the menu properly next time, he said he has already made the pizza so can’t do anything about it and was very rude not trying to be accommodating at all or even wanting to listen to anything I had to say and claimed to have called me 3 times. I also checked the menu on Uber eats, where it clearly said chopped pistachio not pistachio mortadella, so was stated as a separate topping. The pizza then arrived freezing cold nearly an hour after that phone call. The pizza looked and tasted nice but unfortunately the customer service was that bad that I won’t be returning.

Pizza is the best we've tasted so far. Tomato sauce with just the perfect level of sweet and tangy. While some don't eat the crust, we love the crust. Wife loves Salsiccia Funghi.

Absolutely horrible experience that ruined my party. Staff completely not bothered with messed up order (two pizzas were missed out and the starters were not as ordered), RAW dough in the calzone pizza, disappointing food quality. Wish I took photos how off putting some of the pizzas looked but I was too disappointed to deal with it at the time. Most of the food I paid a massive bill for ended up in the bin.

This restaurant makes a delicious authentic Naples pizza in Newcastle. I highly recommend it.

Lovely atmosphere, busy but not overcrowded. The pizzas are amazing! There is a huge selection to choose, it’s actually quite difficult to decide. I went for the Diavola (number 12) which is definitely recommend if you’re a meat lover. Worth a visit, we’ll be returning very soon.

We got takeaway and the pizza was fantastic. The restaurant was closing up but we still got served. Ordered a seafood pescatore pizza and it came with plenty of king prawns. Unfortunately no mussels or squid but still delicious.

Went to Fouchi Pizza Experience on a Wednesday afternoon and it was most definitely an experience! As we went in we weren't totally sure whether it was open as it was definitely a quieter time to go, however we were promptly invited upstairs by the staff and seated at a lovely table. After looking at the menu, we placed our order, and after a wait the lovely pizza seen in the photo arrived. It's worth mentioning we did wait quite a while for our food, but the restaurant had just opened and it was definitely worth the wait. The staff provided us with an awesome experience, and promptly got us an extra drink when we asked. It was also fun to see what we can only assume were the owners of the restaurant, looking to make improvements to the venue. The pizza was fresh and of an authentic italian quality, for a good price. Will definitely be going back!

A colleague recommended this pizzeria to me, so we decided to visit it and try it. We were not disappointed at all. The pizza was delicious... we had real italian pizza in Newcastle. I will definitely go again and recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, relaxing. The staff is also great. We didn't have room for dessert, so we took it home...especially the tiramisu...like from another planet... 😀

Absolutely fantastic. We went as a group of 11 and we were a bit of a pain. Indecisive, not listening, taking too long, but the waiting staff were fantastic, patient, and funny. The food was ridiculously tasty, everyone said how nice their pizzas were, I think this is the best pizza I've ever had outside of Italy. Already told lots of people about it, and will definitely be back.

A very good place for pizza. The cheese used in the pizza is excellent and is a key ingredient. We had a red and a white pizza, as well as a fried pizza, and they were all great. They also have a small selection of wines from Italy. The hosts and pizzerolos are very charming. An excellent place to visit. UPDATE: They have opened a second floor where the seating is nicer and more elegant. This place went from great to amazing. Also their new cocktail menu is a good option.

Unbelievable. Haven't had proper italian food like this since visiting Napoli 3 years ago. Absolutely astoundingly good, bravo! AND, I say this despite it being cold when it arrived (Uber Eats fault, not Fuochi's). Just imagine how good it is fresh out of the oven!

Gorgeous pizza, wonderful staff with impeccable service! Received our order incredibly quickly! There was a table of 10 Italian people eating there too, always a good sign! Best part, they let our little dog join us upstairs in the restaurant. I believe they only accept small dogs and originally we were supposed to sit downstairs but they let us sit in the beautiful restaurant upstairs, definitely made the experience for us! They brought water over straight away and have her loads of fuss. Lovely place!

We visited Naples last year, the home of the Neapolitan pizza and we have to say that Fuochi hits the spot every time. As good as, if not better than some of the pizza we ate in Naples, and we ate pizza every day in Naples! The pizza is wood fired resulting in just the right amount of charring and bubbly texture with that delicious chew. I opted for a red base pizza, the tomato sauce base is authentically Italian and literally has me drooling at thought of it. Other half went for a white base which was equally delicious. The pepperoni and other meats were plentiful toppings and finished off with the best mozzarella cheese which was typically all stringy and mouthwatering. Amazing. I must also mention the coffee, a double espresso ar Fuochi takes me right back to Naples, highly recommend if you like a proper coffee!!

Went with my book group this evening. The restaurant upstairs is a real surprise, very atmospheric. Pizzas were fantastic, complemented by excellent red wine.

Friendly staff and authenic pizza.. do try the chilli oil .. the white base pizza varieties are a must try.. ofcoz try the fuochi pizza it tastes absolutely yummy..!! There is a car park within 5 minutes distance which is free at out of hours..!

Their pizza is absolutely amazing. The level is higher than most places in Italy too, can't get enough of their pizza. I really suggest their Carbonara pizza, exquisite.

Pizza was good and it was cooked promptly but there was a waitress there who kept on coming to clear our table even though we were still eating. Very rude!. She did this a few times clearly pushing us to finish. At the end we left without ordering desserts and in total we didn't spend more than half an hour in the restaurant.
