Fuochi Pizza Experience in Newcastle upon Tyne

Went to Fouchi Pizza Experience on a Wednesday afternoon and it was most definitely an experience! As we went in we weren't totally sure whether it was open as it was definitely a quieter time to go, however we were promptly invited upstairs by the staff and seated at a lovely table. After looking at the menu, we placed our order, and after a wait the lovely pizza seen in the photo arrived. It's worth mentioning we did wait quite a while for our food, but the restaurant had just opened and it was definitely worth the wait. The staff provided us with an awesome experience, and promptly got us an extra drink when we asked. It was also fun to see what we can only assume were the owners of the restaurant, looking to make improvements to the venue. The pizza was fresh and of an authentic italian quality, for a good price. Will definitely be going back!

This is the BEST and most authentic Italian Pizzeria outside of Italy. Pizzas are even better than most places in Napoli! So lucky yo have this place in our area 🇮🇹❤️🍕

Very good pizzeria, got a long table with 20 people, other guests could be kindly moved. Everything went super fast, pizza very, very tasty. Journey from Germany unfortunately too far😀. If we're here again, you'll definitely see us again.

A colleague recommended this pizzeria to me, so we decided to visit it and try it. We were not disappointed at all. The pizza was delicious... we had real italian pizza in Newcastle. I will definitely go again and recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, relaxing. The staff is also great. We didn't have room for dessert, so we took it home...especially the tiramisu...like from another planet... 😀

Absolutely fantastic. We went as a group of 11 and we were a bit of a pain. Indecisive, not listening, taking too long, but the waiting staff were fantastic, patient, and funny. The food was ridiculously tasty, everyone said how nice their pizzas were, I think this is the best pizza I've ever had outside of Italy. Already told lots of people about it, and will definitely be back.

A very good place for pizza. The cheese used in the pizza is excellent and is a key ingredient. We had a red and a white pizza, as well as a fried pizza, and they were all great. They also have a small selection of wines from Italy. The hosts and pizzerolos are very charming. An excellent place to visit. UPDATE: They have opened a second floor where the seating is nicer and more elegant. This place went from great to amazing. Also their new cocktail menu is a good option.

Best pizza in Newcastle! High quality pizza with thin bases & quality ingredients. Italian drinks menu with great beers, wine & Prosecco. Looks a little bit like a takeout shop downstairs but upstairs has great vibe.

Unbelievable. Haven't had proper italian food like this since visiting Napoli 3 years ago. Absolutely astoundingly good, bravo! AND, I say this despite it being cold when it arrived (Uber Eats fault, not Fuochi's). Just imagine how good it is fresh out of the oven!

Gorgeous pizza, wonderful staff with impeccable service! Received our order incredibly quickly! There was a table of 10 Italian people eating there too, always a good sign! Best part, they let our little dog join us upstairs in the restaurant. I believe they only accept small dogs and originally we were supposed to sit downstairs but they let us sit in the beautiful restaurant upstairs, definitely made the experience for us! They brought water over straight away and have her loads of fuss. Lovely place!

We visited Naples last year, the home of the Neapolitan pizza and we have to say that Fuochi hits the spot every time. As good as, if not better than some of the pizza we ate in Naples, and we ate pizza every day in Naples! The pizza is wood fired resulting in just the right amount of charring and bubbly texture with that delicious chew. I opted for a red base pizza, the tomato sauce base is authentically Italian and literally has me drooling at thought of it. Other half went for a white base which was equally delicious. The pepperoni and other meats were plentiful toppings and finished off with the best mozzarella cheese which was typically all stringy and mouthwatering. Amazing. I must also mention the coffee, a double espresso ar Fuochi takes me right back to Naples, highly recommend if you like a proper coffee!!

Went with my book group this evening. The restaurant upstairs is a real surprise, very atmospheric. Pizzas were fantastic, complemented by excellent red wine.

I loved the pizza place was nice cozy for a friends meet up…! Friendly staff and authenic pizza.. do try the chilli oil .. the white base pizza varieties are a must try.. ofcoz try the fuochi pizza it tastes absolutely yummy..!! There is a car park within 5 minutes distance which is free at out of hours..!

Pizza is tremendous, one of the best pizzas I have had. Staff extremely nice also. Would recommend anyone to try, although with these types of pizza, they are best suited for sitting in.

Their pizza is absolutely amazing. The level is higher than most places in Italy too, can't get enough of their pizza. I really suggest their Carbonara pizza, exquisite.

Pizza was good and it was cooked promptly but there was a waitress there who kept on coming to clear our table even though we were still eating. Very rude!. She did this a few times clearly pushing us to finish. At the end we left without ordering desserts and in total we didn't spend more than half an hour in the restaurant.

Best pizza in Newcastle by a mile, seems to get better every time. We waited outside for takeaway as we had the dog and they invited us in whilst we waited and even gave the dog a bowl of chicken (sorry about him escaping 🤦‍♂️)! Couldn't recommend enough!

I visited this restaurant during my weekend staying here and I was amazed by the service, food and everything that the place had to offer. The waiter was polite, friendly and accommodating and the options were impressive. Highly recommend!

A fantastic experience. Everything was delicious. Whatever you order, be sure to get a dipping sauce for the superb crust. I recommend the honey habanero, it’s not too spicy but it is delicious. Everyone we spoke to was absolutely lovely. If you only have one meal in Newcastle, eat it here!

Was good, but missed the Italian "something"

It was a fantastic experience. The service was amazing. I liked the restaurant's decoration. We had pepperoni pizza and fries, which were delicious. They offer vegetarian, vegan, and halal options. The pizza dough was thin and loaded with toppings— in a word, mouthwatering.

My favourite pizza in Newcastle. If you wanna try the real Italian pizza, don't hesitate to visit this place.

I went with my mum (91!) and my son and we had a real surprise. Superb Italian pizza (I’m Italian!) in a fire wood oven and super nice Italians. The place is not so central, but walking reachable from the central station and really worth the walking. Fantastic the Fuochi special and the Margherita really passed the test. Carbonara as well was very nice if you’re in for that taste of pasta! I’ll surely recommend this place to pizza lovers and experts! Please be aware they open at 3pm but first pizzas came out a little before 4pm.

I visited in February and I'm still dreaming of this pizza. Freshest ever, high quality tomato sauce and absolutely the best truffle and spicy oil ever. Possible to order without cheeses so it's vegan! If only Newcastle weren't so far ....

Fuochi has got Bangin Neapolitan food and probably some of the best in the area. I highly recommend reserving or coming early. Their pizza dough is just perfect and use top notch fresh ingredients. Homemade desserts, Italian staff who genuinely care about the food add to the experience. They do takeaway but i recommend taking time out to come here to eat. Staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients and are able to suggest what you should go for. Extremely affordable too and the open kitchen adds to the vibes. Cash and cards accepted. Paid street parking is available. Pair the pizza with a Moretti and you are set !!!!

Don't go to this place where the chef is highly immodest and arrogant. An Italian who has been disrespected as a customer tells you this. I went when it wasn't quite crowded. They asked to move from where I was sitting to another sitting in unpleasant way. After that, I ordered a pizza for which I doubted an ingredient and the chef arrogantly treated me very badly in front of other customers. He used very low key language and it shows how he doesn't know how to deal with customers. The pizza may be good there but the chef is an exalted and arrogant person. I note that this character has already been described by other reviews as very bad. The BEST SUGGEST Spend your money where they treat you with respect.

Had a Margarita special. Its looks good and very authentic. My pizza although tasty, was abit wet and cold in the centre. The buffalo cheese in the middle was cold....not sure if thats how it was ment to be.... The women asked if everything is OK and I said yes but I was eating the pizza outside in.

Got a Special Margarita pizza, which was tasty. Perfect soupy tomato sauce mixed with a cheesg topping. It came out quick and was the perfect temperature to inhale. Got some truffle oil and parmesan chips. The chef did forget to put the truffle oil on, but he brought out a serving of oil and it was nice to pour it on top. It was well priced with a good looking wine list. The meal wasn't too expensive and the staff were lively and attentive!

Good pizza but service it's really rude, check the bill twice Edit: I'm sorry but what your employees said is not totally true. Yes we were 12 people and yes we paid in separate way, it's fine make an error, we are humans. So we before paid the extra and than we check our cards and asking the waiter for more information because we thought there was an error. As I said, it can happen and the waiter was nice and respectful. Than the pizza guy start yelling that was not his fault but a waiter fault and said to me "what do you want from me take the money and go" in really rude way. I didn't want to ruined the birthday so I only said "you are not make me a favor, we are counting again the receipts with the waiter and we are right" than this guy took 20 pounds from the table THROW them to me and said "go away". Now decide by yourself if this is behavior that you accept from your employees. I can suggest you, if someone doesn't have the basic social skills probably is better avoid his the contact with the customer

Just had THE BEST fruiti di mare pizza here and a large glass of their balanced delicious house red and I kid you not, the pizza I had was the best!! Cooked to perfection - very saucy AND didn’t stinge on the seafood either!!! 5 stars to the chef and the waitress, Sara who received me. Thank you!! I will be back!!

This is the best pizza place i have ever been to. I make my own pizza at home and informed the staff of this. They could tell i was passionate about pizza. They sheared their knowledge and give me some hints and tips and even give me some raw dough to try. I can not parse this place enough and will definitely recommend and will go back. A must if you are into real quality food and the price ££ are great.

This was our first time trying here after they catered for a wedding we were at a few weeks ago. Firstly I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The service from the first phonecall to book the table, then the amazing warm welcome we got upon entry, they allowed our little dog in too! The staff were amazing, fussing over our dog, even brought him out a small plate of chicken. I can't speak higher of all the staff, from the chef, management and the amazing waiter who made our night, so attentive and thoughtful, his reccomendations were spot on, allowing us to try the truffle chips we had debated on. The food... omg! All 3 of us said they are the best pizzas we have ever tasted. Phenomenal! The house wine was beautiful as well. Perfect evening out with our daughter and little dog. Highly reccomend.

This was the best pizza we have eaten in Newcastle, and I’ve eaten quite a large amount over the years. The dough was crispy and thin, toppings plentiful, but not overbearing and the service was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who served us today including your amazing chefs. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's certainly one of the best, if not the best oven baked pizza place in Newcastle! We tried the caltzone nutella pizza for desert nand of you are a sweet tooth then it's a must!
