One of the best and most beautiful restaurants in New Castle. The food is very delicious. I ordered California sushi + rice noodles with shrimp and vegetables + vegetable gyoza - much of the food on the menu is halal (and the waitress is awesome. Once upon a time, she was helpful and cheerful. I returned to the restaurant 3 times and I envy the residents of this city. The taste is balanced, as if it were a caring mother’s cooking 😭💓 💓

I really appreciated the service. Host was really welcoming and friendly, sharing a lot of stories of her time back in the Philippines, which I admired and loved. Food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend everyone to explore the place! I'll surely come back to this restaurant.

A fabulous restaurant serving all the best Japanese foods. We were a group of 8 and the service was amazing, the lady really made you feel at ease and was very attentive. One member of our group has celiac disease, yhey went above and beyond to let her know what she could and couldn't have. There is the option for karaoke whilst you wait making this place even more enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Been here a few times already because the food is so lovely but today was a stand out because a drunk homeless woman came in the restaurant and asked for some food as she had no money. We gave her some of ours and then the owner of the restaurant came and gave her a meal for free and knocked some of the price off our receipt despite our protests. The owner was so apologetic even though it was a totally random occurrence and it was so lovely of her to give the lady a meal instead of just kicking her out. We will definitely be coming back again!

First time in this amazing place and really take my belly for an amazing trip in heaven. We had 3 plates of sushi with prawn, chicken & Philadelphia cheese all three were amazing. We love sushi and we have eaten in different places in the world and this place gets the second place on the world list but the first in all UK as is amazing fresh, inspired and fulfilling as each bite you enjoy all the amazing flavors without any overtake the other. I definitely recommend eating in this place is the Best. Sorry for no photo food but it was too amazing to wait 😀

The interior looked beautiful, the paintings and decorations on the walls looked lovely. For the service, we were served by a nice lady that made us feel welcomed. I had the beef special fried rice while my partner had the adobo. For small bites we had the chicken gyoza and the nice lady recommended us to try the shumai which we absolutely enjoyed. The menu is a bit on the pricey side, so this may not be for people who just wants a quick cheap meal. But if you're out for something special, either having a date or a family/friend gathering for a catch up, this place is a must.

This is a hidden gem in Newcastle! First, they have an offer this summer (2024) of any 2 sushis for £15. The sushi is well made, presented, and the flavours amazing. Some places put too much vinegar in the rice, this one has perfect texture and flavour 👌 Is my favourite sushi place in Newcastle. PLUS! If you ask Elvie, she will put the karaoke for you! And you can sing some songs while your food arrives 😁

This is our go-to Filipino restaurant everytime we have a special occasion to celebrate! The food is delicious! My favorites are siomai, beef asado and the ube brownie is to die for!!

Highly recommended! The food was amazing and fairly priced and portioned. Customers are free to use karaoke. We were so entertained by the people singing for fun. The place itself is very relaxing and clean. We are definitely coming back again! We love love love the homemade ube brownie with ube ice cream!

We ordered 3 boxes of sushi, 8 pieces in each box, it came with only one soy sauce that was not even a quarter of the way up and that’s to share for 3 people. The pancit bihon stir fry noodles came with only two prawns and the beef egg friend rice tasted like charcoal. The only positive is that the sushi was big and the taste was decent maybe would taste better in the restaurant rather than delivery. But overall very poor presentation not worth the £56

Me and my boyfriend were craving Filipino food in Newcastle and came across Teayempo. At first we thought it was just a restaurant selling Pan-Asian cuisine but to our surprise there was some of our favourite Filipino dishes on the menu!! The owner greeted us with a really heartwarming smile and she served us really quick :). We ordered the pork adobo , the teayempo express (Bicol express) and Pancit canton. The verdict? The food here is absolutely gorgeous. We loved every single bit of it because it reminded us exactly of the cooking in our home country! The owner also let us try their homemade shu mai which was also very delicious. To end our meal , we were given the dessert menu. They had a range of Filipino desserts too including Turon , Halo Halo , Buko Pandan but we were already quite full so the owner gave us homemade ube brownie topped with ube ice cream and pistachio. This was wonderful!! Me and my boyfriend will definitely come back here for the halo halo. Thank you Tita for your wonderful restaurant !

We went here a couple days ago and it was wonderful a sweet lady (who was the restaurant owner) took our order and we got some green tea in the mean time the place itself was beautiful and the food melted in my mouth

We came on Saturday night. Restaurant was pretty busy but the staff lady welcome us with smile while she was doing her cleaning table stuff. I can tell this is the best sushi I ever had with decent price in Newcastle. Tori Maki were superb, salmon sashimi were served fresh as well! And not to missed and my favourite so far is their brownies topped with ube or purple yam ice cream! A must-try definition! We will come back for this mindblowing dessert!

We came to try this restaurant guided by Google reviews. I don't know if they changed the chef, but the food was nothing to write home about. In fact, even a little bland. For 25 pounds I hope to be satisfied, and eat excellent. None of that happened. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it. The staff is very friendly, but I go to a place for the quality of the food.

The over all experience was incredible, the atmosphere felt cozy and relaxing almost like we were dinning at home and the cuisine was incredibly delicious the flavor's were present in every bite. The service was amazing, she made us feel welcomed and she also checked in on us every once in a while the over all experience was worth every penny, will definitely come back and eat here again.

Their adobo hits the spot. The meat is succulent and tasty, with a hint of creaminess of coconut milk and ending with the sweetness of pineapple.

Experiencing a Filipino Japanese Fusion Restaurant in Newcastle (in fact, it was our first time visiting a Filipino restaurant) 🇵🇭 When I saw ‘Kang Kung’ served in the menu, I got excited! In all of Europe, I’ve never had this vegetable that grows pretty much everywhere in South East Asia (It’s called Morning Glory in Thailand). 🍃 Kangkung & Tofu with rice 🍆Talong - Aubergines Stir fried with garlic, spring onion, and soy sauce 🦯 Tofu on Stick 🍜 5 spiced beef udon 🍖 Adobo pork I’m not a connoisseur in Filipino cuisine. It was an enjoyable meal for me, nevertheless. If you visited this restaurant, I personally would recommend a focus on the Filipino cuisine, rather than the Japanese ones. But then again, I’m no expert in Filipino cuisine 😅

This was one of the most fun dining experiences I have had in a very long time. We arrived early in the evening and were the only diners. The restauranteur had my husband up singing karaoke in the most fun and friendly way while we waited for our sushi. Sushi arrived and it too was fab! You will not be disappointed, choose this restaurant for a real lift. Enjoy!

We ordered the duck gyoza, chicken udon soup and chicken pad thai. Everything was delicious! The decor was beautiful, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the server was super friendly. We also did karaoke while waiting for our food, which was so much fun!! Highly recommend. 10/10

I searched for a Filipino food shop here since we are new to the place and we found this place. I appreciate the ambience and it was nicely decorated and clean. We were able to order the following (I forgot to mention I cannot tolerate spicy food 😳-as I was referring only to the menu without chili drawing on it): 1. Pad Thai- it was 4/5 for me 😉 2. Orange (something) duck 🤭 - 4/5 3. Mixed seafood fried rice - 5/5, it was perfect 4. Sugba- (which i thought fish 🤣) it is like a pork grind actually, but it’s good 4/5 5. Calamari-4/5 It’s a bit pricy with its serving, yes. And one more thing, I think the lady was quiet rude at first to us. As there were other locals that time,..But anyhow, she tried to pull things well thereafter. I hope to come back and try another variety of food 😉

For those who love karaoke + filipino food this will be a great place to have a meal. Went here for desserts and it’s amazing! We got banana turon 10/10 and halo halo 10/10 + cocktails 🍹. I’ll definitely be back to try the main course and early for the karaoke 🎤

I came here for the first time last night and the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, some of the best I've had in Newcastle. They also had a karaoke machine with over 4000 songs if that's your bag (it's mine) which was super fun, and the woman who runs the place is lovely. Can't recommend enough.

Highly recommended to all Filipinos visiting Newcastle. The food is delicious, it's like you're in the Philippines. There are also many choices aside from filipino dishes. My whole family enjoyed the food. And you can even do karaoke.

Exceptional service and taste, for Filipino food this is second to none, it was so good we ate there a second night. The kaldareta was amazingly good, the duck in orange sauce, Taeyempo beef and the escabeche were out of this world, and the Shomai were the best I've ever had. If your Filipino and looking for a friendly host, nice atmosphere and a little taste of home don't look any further.

Came here after reading some Greta reviews. It did not disappoint. Good amazing. I was a solo diner on a early Wednesday eve and the place was pretty empty so lacked atmosphere but everything else was great. Defo recommend.

Lovely place, always amazed it’s not packed! Excellent food with a good selection for vegetarians, great cocktails and spectacular service. The owner/front of house lady is so always so nice. Very close to Newcastle central station and Tyne Opera House Theatre. Definitely recommend 👍

The food portion was good and our meal was delicious! We ordered ihaw-ihaw, chicken fried rice and halo halo. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to other Filipinos and for those who want to try a different cuisine. They have a karaoke corner which is free for customers. We visited when it was very quiet, so bear in mind it can get busy during the weekends. Also, the owner is very kind and hospitable. We hope to visit again soon!

Very friendly, they dont hold back on their heating either, makes the experience more authentic. First off, they have a level 5 hygiene rating for thr food... A must these days. They have had a fab update of the decor, its beautiful. It was my first time in but have walked by often as i live on clayton street. Very warm welcome from the lady i assumed was the owner. Good dirinks and food selection. They have added sushi to the menu. We ordered spare ribs and duck gyoza dumplings. The dip with the gyoza was very tasty. Thr spare ribs quality was better than every chinese place in toen.. Ive been to them all. You could tell rhey were slow cooked, the meat was very plentiful, more meat than bone!!! It wasnt a sweet sauce you get at the chinese so we dipped them in the gyoza sauce. Had chicken and prawn stir fried noodles and colin had the pork and pineapple adobo. Both were very nice, i asked for extra limr and bowl of sugar as i have thai taste buds. She was very accommodating and i was very grateful. You must come and try the pan asian fusion dishes. They have thata nd japanese dishes as well as Philippino dishes. Worth the money

it took nearly one hour to get the food(yes we were a group of seven, but in the restaurant there was not so many people other than us) shared gyoza and fried chicken and I ordered chicken teriyaki rice for myself. others ordered ramen and curries, but none of us were content with the taste of the dishes.

This is easily my go-to place to eat out. The dining room is fresh and comfortable. The food is amazing. I’ve never had a bad meal there yet, my favourite being Mo’chicken so far (I’m working my way through the menu)... It’s a Filipino family business and you always get a warm welcome and chat with the owner and you can’t go wrong with a pint of Asahi.

I came here with my family after seeing the positive reviews, and it's now our favorite!! The food is simply AMAZING🤌🏾! There's just so much flavor in everything. The Chicken Gyoza dumplings are the BEST I've ever tasted, the pork spring rolls are really really good and the sushi my favorite is the Tori Maki for sure! No words for the Watermelon cocktail😍 The place is so cute like the decoration is so pretty and gives a really cozy vibe. And the lady is so lovely always treats us wonderfully Thank you❤️ We've now booked for my mother's birthday and I'm already daydreaming about it Haha. So, if you're thinking about it, YES, you should definitely go!

I had a very positive experience and would strongly recommend Teayempo! The staff were very friendly and for the first time in ages I had fresh prawn crackers, served straight from the fryer, very warm still! We had sushi and their Tori Maki is amazing. You could tell the fish was very fresh as well. Looking forward to returning here soon.

1. The menu - lots of selections if you like to try or fancy asian cuisine unique from the Philippines with a hint of taste from its neigbouring countries. Authentic taste of home food indeed . 2. Food hygiene is superb and food presentation is outstanding. The sight of freshly cooked vegetable spring rolls with its "not burnt not raw" wrap is very palatable. The foods never look nor taste greasy. If you appreciate healthy meals then here you would taste fresh and higher grade ingredients may it be from their use of spices, vegetables, meat, and seafoods. 3. They offer a selection of cocktails which you knew is prepared with care and of excellent taste. Never a hurried type mass production vibe and preparation that you'd get if you order from a bar or other restaurants. 4. The ambience is very serene, clean, and without any obnoxious smell that could otherwise deter your appetite. 5. Pricing is very competitive and I absolutely get excellent value for my money in terms of taste, food selection/healthy options, food servings, and the great service. This restaurant has great food, wonderful decor, and lovely staff. Plus, it is affordable, with 2 cocktails for £8! Can't find that anywhere else in Newcastle! I had soft shell crab sushi as a starter dish, and the Teayempo Beef Special as the main dish. I enjoyed both very much! The sushi was some of the best I had in Newcastle, and the beef melted in my mouth. You can tell the dishes were prepared with care and expertise. The portions are also generous! The restaurant is lovely, with an attentive and kind server, and the music is not too loud. Can't recommend this place enough! I will definitely be coming back soon.
