Fuji Japanese Cuisine in Hackney

Food not delivered to me, the driver has either delivered my food to the wrong address or taken the food for themselves. Not happy with this service.

We were a bit disappointed, to be honest. Underwhelming sushi. Bit cheap to do California Rolls with crab sticks and not salmon.

Order was very late. Called the restaurant and they said it’s on the way and still took 20’ after that

Good sushi and miso. katsu curry was a bit meh.

Food quality was good but part of my order was missing. I ordered (and paid for) mackerel nigiri but this wasn’t in the bag when I got home. All the rest of the order was there. When and how will I received a refund for the food I paid for but didn’t receive?

It said three croquettes with the curry - I only received two. Other portions seemed smaller than usual too.

Delivery time does not align with given time. Yakiniku was good and tender, comfort tasting food, the ice cream and Dorayaki were delicious as the prawn tempura. The green bean was unfortunately inedible and hard. Overall, my highlight was the dessert. Thank you for the food, but I don't think I would be returning here to order.

Ordering from Fuji is always a pleasure their food is delicious and their service brilliant.

Very average and one item veg instead of the prawn ordered

It left the restaurant on track to be early but the delivery (from 1 mile away) took 40 minutes so the food was cold and soggy. Shame bc the quality is good.

Food was ok, the sauce from the skewers leaked onto the noodle box and inside the seaweed salad that was completely smashed and half opened by the weight of the noodles box on top. That wasn’t nice. Not sure who’s responsibility is it but I wasn’t really happy to receive food like that. :-/

Food really tasty as always but asked for No Wasabi which was added anyway.

The delivery window was 19:50 - 20:10 and the food arrived at 20:25. The "driver" was on foot. This was despite the original advertised time of 25-40 mins to deliver. The order was placed at 19:10.

We first tried this restaurant a few years ago and didn't like it too much. I love Japanese food so we thought of trying this restaurant again. And I'm glad we did! For me and my wife, the food they serve is way lot better than the first time we came here to eat. We had squid tempura, chicken katsu don, seafood udon noodles, sushi (a bit small serving) and tofu. That's a perfect dinner for us. Taste good and filling.

All food was good, maybe just the "Japanese Pickles" could have been "pickled" a bit more.

Sooo delicious thank you so much fuji!!! i order from this place all the time, but sadly i'm moving today so this was my last order :'{ i'll miss getting food from here. i recommend the yaki udon, eel maki, and pumpkin croquettes especially, and all the desserts! the food's always hot and sometimes they give me an extra which is so lovely. thanks again fuji x

Very tasty food - we ordered chicken gyozas, vegetable tempura, chicken katsu curry and a chicken karage bento box. Very nice setting, reasonable prices and good customer service. Very recommended.

Food was lovely. Bit disappointing that the sushi had obviously been tipped around so toppings smeared onto plastic and wasabi got on a lot of things and I don't eat wasabi.

spicy tuna maki was not good at all, it was a tuna paste with onion and chilli, not tasting like tuna at all. gyozas were very bad, and tasted like frozen food. katsu tasted okay, although stale. definitely not worth the money. do not understand good reviews.

Food was 35mins late. Sushi hand roll was in with the hot food which warmed it, wasn’t very pleasant. Chicken Katsudo was tepid and flavourless. I called the restaurant 20mins after the stated delivery time, no apology whatsoever and was assured it would only be a couple more mins, was another 15.

Food is great. I'm pretty sure my vegi ramen was actually miso

Chicken teriyaki bento didn't have alot of chicken to fill the bento box, it only had 7 small pieces. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Have eaten here loads. But today it was bad and both dishes went in the bin. The chicken tasted off / funny Couldn't eat it. Has put me off from ordering there again

The sushi was delicious but for some reason they put it in the same bag as the piping hot food so it arrived very warm.

Restaurant is nice normally but package is tumbledown and looks mixed I can’t eat that.

Driver was on his way for 20min... Soups could have been warmer

We order from here quite often because they deliver very quickly and it’s normally very fresh because it’s just straight delivery as soon as it’s cooked. Today we waited all together 1.5h from the moment we have ordered which is very long, I could have cooked myself if I knew it would take that long. There were no updates or anything that the order is being delayed. We had to call twice to find out what’s going on.Eil dragon we have ordered (that we always order) was not their usual standard it was either over cooked or stayed too long in closed container - it was very mushy. Didn’t get any apologies for delay when called. Very disappointed.

Normally I love ordering from this restaurant and the food is high quality. However, this time all the tuna in my order was rotten and discoloured. It absolutely stank. It’s really worrying that they sent something like that out to a customer and sadly I won’t be ordering here again.

I've been ordering from the vegetarian section of the Fuji menu for months. It is fantastic. I love the yasai itame, veggie gyoza, yaki soba, miso glazed aubergine and mabo tufu are all amazing (to name a few dishes).

Wholesome food - Nuff said. The Gyoza was especially well-made this order.

It took 2 hours to receive the food - whereas it was suppose to take 30min, and when it arrived, it tasted like old food, the sushi rice wasn’t good either. I had to throw most of the food. I am literally disgusted.

The food took more than an hour to arrive. We called the restaurant 2 times and they keep telling us it will take 5 min to get our food without even asking for our reference number. I requested a refund and I still haven’t heard anything from the restaurant. I have order food from them a few times before cause the food is amazing but after this awful service today I will have to double think it before ordering again. Very disappointing.

We waited 1:45hrs to get the order, with poor communication from the restaurant until the food was actually about to get delivered. The food was good but definitely not worth the wait.

The miso soup was too salty I couldnt have it The seaweed salad was too sweet so couldnt eat it.... Overall quite disappointing as these were my main meal.

The food was delicious and also good quality. I ordered the Fuji Platter set (20 pieces) and a karaage bento. Didn’t finish the bento but having 2/3 of it for lunch. Food quality lost a star just because the sushi was very warm from the bento, but guess can’t be helped. I may have to seek you out and dine in-house when permitted and if they’re a restaurant! Arigatō!

Shame because the food was nice but was delivered early than expected so was disruptive as in a birthday zoom call when delivered. Also , the sushi rolls weren’t properly separated . The quality/freshness of the food was really good though.

They included vegetables in my noodles that I explicitly said I was allergic to.

Like warm food, late delivery by 45 minutes. Really not great this time. Will not order again as last two orders have been so so. First one soggy karage (I appreciate difficult to have crispy when delivered but not an issue for other restaurants).

We’ve ordered Fuji sushi for the second time as a delivery and it genuinely has been one of the best sushis we’ve had in London (and we tried plenty of them). So fresh, tasty and simply delicious - will be our new favourite!

Ordered from Fuji many times and never had a problem. This time the food didn't arrive when it was meant to (18:55). Called the restaurant at 19:30 and they said that it had been picked up. The food didn't arrive until 20:30, and was completely cold. No idea what happened between it being picked up and being delivered, since there was no way to track the location of the delivery driver and there was no information given for the order.

Ridiculously late food. I called 4 times and told it would be there in 5 mins. I even tried to cancel the order by phone and they just hung up. I would like a refund.

They were late, the food wasn't very warm, the gyozas in my noodle soup had almost disolved, and the flavour was bland. Not interested in buying from here again.

The sushi platter was delicious! Great quality fish and the rice was not dry at all. This is my second time ordering from Fuji and as someone who has previously lived in Japan, this is good sushi!

Teníamos una reserva, pero nos pusieron en un rincón oscuro cerca de la puerta, debajo de un calentador ruidoso y los conductores de entrega entraban y salían cada 2 minutos. Pregunté si podíamos movernos a una de las muchas otras mesas vacías, pero me dijeron que eran para otras reservas. El camarero (anteojos y barba el 23 de octubre) no pudo explicarme por qué mi reserva tenía menos valor que los demás que aún no habían llegado, especialmente porque no preguntó por el nombre de mi reserva, por lo que se estaba inventando. su propio juicio. Para colmo, vino alguien sin reserva y le dieron una mesa mucho mejor. Fuji ha ido totalmente cuesta abajo si este es el personal y el servicio que tienen.

Food packaging was damaged and the food was spilling out everywhere. Was luke warm and didn't taste great. Underwhelming. Sorry.

The food was at least 30-40 minutes late, but we were willing to ignore that if it had been worth the wait. Unfortunately neither meal tasted good either, which is surprising judging by other reviews... I don’t know what was going on this evening but extremely late, low quality food is not really acceptable.

Some items tasted nice and some items weren't so nice. Doubt I would order from here again. The delivery was late by 30mins from the estimated time. The delivery time frame on just eat may seem a bit misadvertising as it says delivery between 25-40mins or something but then I was given 1hr and it didn't show up till 1.5hrs. I called the restaurant and they was good over the phone but it was still a matter of waiting for the delivery to arrive.

Mi compañero y yo pedimos llevar a Fuji que recogimos nosotros mismos. Ofrecen un servicio excelente y amable, la comida es muy generosa y súper sabrosa. Definitivamente lo recomendaría y ordenaría nuevamente de Fuji. ¡Es la única comida para llevar que no nos ha decepcionado durante el cierre y por lo demás!

My family and I enjoy a Katsu Curry, and this the best one so far. Would recommend.. wouldn’t expect anything less from restaurants on Church Street.

Impressed with the quality and the variety of food. Wish they had an option to deselect soy sauce and chopsticks as we have our own at home. Excellent overall.

La primera vez que ordené comida para llevar desde aquí no fue tan mala, Fuji plato mixto y pollo Katsu. Pensé que volvería a pedir, esta vez también la fuente Fuji. Sin embargo, el pescado no estaba tan fresco y, en especial, el sashimi de lubina era inaceptable. Slices tenía un corte desigual y torpe, pero lo peor era que tenía varios huesos. No volveré a ordenar desde aquí

Walked past this place a lot and fancied Japanese one afternoon so we went in. It was a bit late for lunch and the place was empty except for two other pairs dining.We got some shrimp gyoza, chicken katsu curry and the prawn and chicken donburi.The gyoza were tasty but I found the curry very average. My major irritation with the donburi was that it was very salty and although it had masses of chicken it only had three lonely prawns. If you are going to say something is a mix then make sure that it is the case.Staff were not very attentive which was weird as at one point we were the only table in there. You really shouldn’t have to ask for a bill 3 times when there is no one else there. I don’t think we’ll be going back to Fuji anytime soon. Overall Lu Lu’s over the road, although a different cuisine, does better dumplings if that’s what you are after.

He estado aquí varias veces en los últimos años y tengo que decir que mis últimas tres visitas en los últimos seis meses han sido realmente decepcionantes.Mi viaje más reciente fue un domingo por la noche con mi novia y el sushi estaba muy por debajo del estándar. ¿El arroz y el pescado no tenían sabor y estaban ligeramente calientes? !El curry de Katsu sabía a microondas y no estaba crujiente.También pedimos gyzos de verduras pero nos sirvieron gyzos de pollo, lo cual no fue un problema porque comemos carne, pero podría haberlo sido si fuéramos vegetales. Es seguro decir que no volveré otra vez.

Great place for some lunchtime sushi - I had the crispy tuna roll and it was great! The gyoza were super tasty too. It's reasonably priced and definitely worth a visit.

Really not authentic at all - I expect to see some Japanese staff at a Japanese restaurant. Poor food and poor quality menu

Primera vez aquí después de una recomendación de un amigo. Pero tengo que decir que todos son suyos como mi compañero y lo encontré absolutamente horrible y en realidad preferimos wagamama mejor. Conseguí el curry de katsu y me sentí enfermo después y ni siquiera terminé la comida. Las especias son más poderosas en todo. ¡Pero no fue para nosotros! El personal fue encantador y servicial. Entonces la revisión se basa en la comida.

I have been here many times and the food has always been good especially dumplings, pumpkins balls and veg fried rice. Great service and good food
