Fry-Days - Woodbridge Road in Ipswich

Don't go there if you fancy southern fried chicken....this was my 4th attempt over a couple of months at different times of the day at buying this item...its listed on the menu but they never have any!!! Won't be going there again!!

This chippy is local to me and I visit frequently-at least weekly. Good selection of fish and other chip shop staples including cooked to order burgers (grilled on a flat top) kids meals and pensioner deals. Open Sundays from 4-9 pm also.

First time here. Lovely fresh clean modern takeaway restaurant. However, food really wasn’t that great. Battered sausages were tough and chips were tasteless. Disappointed.

Popped in here as we couldn't be bothered to cook as we were shattered. I believe the establishment is under new ownership and new owners were extremely friendly and made a fuss of my girls. Food was good curry sauce was not up to scratch but the chips were good.

Cuando este lugar era propiedad de fry - días era bueno, pero ya que ha sido tomada por las "golden fish" que se ha visto mejores días y tengo que decir que la calidad de la comida ha sido nada cerca de las normas que necesita ser. Cuando abrió y se llamaba fritos días me quedé muy impresionado porque estaba muy limpio y muy moderno y la comida estaba bien, sin embargo, ya que los nuevos dueños la comida basura ha sido tremenda y ni siquiera alimentar a mi perro! La comida parece que ha sido recalentados cada día durante una semana, y el pescado era tan soso y duro y las patatas fritas eran marrones. He estado muy decepcionado de este buen uso de cómo ser y ver venir a este no es buena ya y yo preferiría ir a The Codfather por la calle cualquier día.

El personal es amable y el restaurante es agradable y limpio. Patatas fritas bien puede esperar un poco y el precio es bastante alto.

I went to yesterday i ordered fisg and chips.. was really fresh cooking, delicious fish and chips... well done...

I have used the fish and chip shops for over a year but the last few times the sausages have been reheated the batter so dry you can't eat it and the fish all dry , I gave it another go but this time was the worst the sausage was so dry it was a different colour at the ends . Will never use again they have lost me and my parents custom now . Going to try cod fathers who I hear is very very fresh .

Lovely fish and chips with mushy peas, great service. Didn't wait too long and the fish was cooked to order.

This place looks good but dont eat good. I had cod and chips from a nearby shop and they knock spots off this place in quality and in price. Take this hint and buy better quality fish and potatoes.

Allways used to go here as a kid, perfectly cooked chips and fish and really reasonable prices for all.

Lovely, modern, clean shop. A chippy of the 21st century, but with traditional fish and chips. Staff are friendly and helpful. Car parking at the back of the shop. The food is well cooked and nicely presented. Certainly worth a visit.

Always been a Frydays customer and the Woodbridge road branch is a welcome addition. The shop was spotless and the food was excellent. Will be back.

One of my highly recommended Fish and Chips restaurant for anyone, good quality and fantastic customer service.I left the place satisfied.

Yo vengo aquí cada miércoles como esta es mi tienda de pescado ya que regular ha sido abierto. Es un poco más caro que otras tiendas de pescado, pero las raciones es enorme y la calidad de la comida es hecho a una perfección. Así que estamos haciendo mucho por su dinero. El personal tiene siempre un rostro sonriente siempre nos gusta ver. Sigan con el buen trabajo. O me olvide de decir, lo siento por haber tardado tanto tiempo en escribir una reseña. This is my regular fish shop i stop off to on my way back from work. As usual always look forward for a food old feast. Cant be any more convenient the car park behind and plus the ottoman restaurant next door do takeaways too! The fish and chips is top notch! And the southern fried chicken is much better than KFC! We have used this shop regularly for about a year. It used to be great, though pricey. However, now it has changed hands, not only is it still pricey, but the chips, and sometimes the fish, we have been served have been hard, dry, reheats. The standard has been gradually deteriorating to the extent that our most recent purchase was inedible. The fish was dry and hard because it had been reheated, the reheated batter was really hard and the chips were equally unpleasant. Fish and chips need to be freshly cooked.

Ordered 5 x fish and chips and an American burger. Burger bun was stale and missing the onion and mustard I asked for. Total was over 35 pound which was ridiculous.

I've been here with colleagues on Friday lunchtimes in the past, when it was opened the quality was fantastic but since the change of hands, it has been terrible. We picked up Friday lunchtime meals around 2 months ago which were reheats and had to be thrown away, this week we decided to give it another go and on Friday lunchtime we purchased fish cakes, sausages and chips but, these were probably the worst I'd ever eaten, again reheats which were inedible and had to be thrown away. I would never recommend as there are other chip shops near by which much me far better than this. I will never return to this chip shop as I have thrown my lunch in the bin Twice !! Beware.

Came here on a Saturday evening for a take away. The place is nice and clean and there was plenty of items ready, which meant a short wait time. The fish was ok but not brilliant. Plenty of chips. The pies are really nice though. Friendly staff. Would probably return as prices were reasonable.

Driving back to the office at lunchtime I passed by and decided to give this a try. The shop is very clean and modern and the food I had was cooked to order. Delicious piece of cod and great non-greasy chips. Very friendly service and would definitely return for my fix of fish and chips.

I have been going there on a regular basis, the food has always been spot on, fresh and clean and delicious as usual. Excellent large rear parking with easy wheel chair access. Very impress.

Clean and tidy. Plenty of room to queue up. Great little chip butties, not expensive. Chips were lovely, not soggy and not crisp, just right. Bread buns, lovely, soft and white. Wrapped up well to take away.Would go again,

Been here a few times as I don't live far from it. the food is nice and generally is good value but the last time I went there, there appeared to be a lack of communication between staff which meant food got a little delayed. I would definitely use again though

This isn't my local chippy but the fact the portions are generous and the prices competitive make the extra mile or two well worth it.The staff are friendly and the place is very clean, new and inviting, plenty of parking behind the chippy seals the deal.

First visit I had gluten free haddock and chips, my partner had normal haddock and chips- food wasdelicious some of the best fish and chips we've had. We then decided to have the same again last week but this time the fish wasn't so nice and my gluten free fish had been cooked so much- really disappointed

This is the best way to order, as it saves waiting approx 20 minutes and believe me its worth the wait ! crispy batter fresh chips all hot and lovely tasting we had this Friday dinner time, before we went on holiday as a quick dinner just returned from holiday and will be pre ordering my skate soon,if you need a business cards just ask the gent behind the counter and he will supply,good luck to all the staff who are very friendly

A family member had been here when they first opened and had pie and chips. When they complained that the pie was cold they were told to go home and heat it up !!I should have learnt from this but I decided to give them a chance as I was near by. When I saw that two portions of large chips would cost £5.80 I thought that this better be good.I bought medium haddock for my partner and medium rock eel for me (with normal chips).Report:-The haddock was reported as being nice but very small. The chips were just about average. The rock eel was white, in brown batter and there the resemblance to fish ended. I had waited for the fish to be cooked (about twenty minutes) so it should have been fresh. Suspiciously the batter was very dark coloured and impossible to eat. The rock eel could not be bitten into in the same way that rubber is difficult to eat. I would not have fed it to a dog ! I considered the walk back to the shop to complain but then decided that the cat gang might think it was fish.All in all, not a very good experience unless you have fur and whiskers. The haddock/minnow was good but not good enough for me to go back to this shop without a bulldozer.

Have bought from here twice now haven't seen it appear on east side of town and previously being impressed by the Norwich Road version.Best fish and chips ive found in town. Doesnt make me end up feeling overfull or greasy like other places do. Not a fish lover on the whole, but happily enjoy the cod from here and the chips are perfect.Staff been super-friendly both visits.

Nice chips and good portions fish was also nice. Staff are helpful and polite. All in all worth using for quick fix grub !

Rang up and ordered skate and chips friday night ,walked in about half hour later very good and tasty fish and chips made my friday last day at work special thanks to all,oh and not forgetting parking round back of chippy

i was really looking forward to fish and chips from here because the new shop looks great, but the fish was small and the some of the chips were under-cooked. the fish tasted good but there are other places i prefer. personally id recommend neptunes/marianni's, bigger fish portions and tastier chips.

Went for F&C on Thursday evening. Easy parking side and rear of take away shop. Fish was fresh and properly cooked. I ordered a medium F&C and the chips were piled high. Well worth the money and will be my choice when I visit my daughter in Ipswich.
