This place seems to be getting better each time I visit. The food choice is very good, it's tasty and hot. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Our lunch came quickly and the coffee was a good quality.

We visit this site every few months with our young granddaughter - Fairy Trail a favourite with her, and well worth a visit if you have young children. Also a good location for dog walkers. Usually call in at the cafe - which is pleasant but have often thought it was an under-developed resource. Recent visits suggest whoever runs this is now in agreement as the cafe seems to be developing. On this occasion we stopped for lunch and had a very pleasant meal. It is, I feel, a bit pricey - but the food was very tasty, well presented and served swiftly. Plenty of staff on duty and they were very pleasant and efficient. Would recommend.

Beautiful place, sadly not running at its full potential. I’ve dropped in four or five times with friends over the last two months. We’ve had coffee, cakes and sandwiches( toasties) cakes are dry, sandwiches are a soggy mess on overly dry toast. People are not the friendliest. So much more could be done with a little more effort.

Could be a Great Place to visit - However why is the market not vibrant and full of traders ? Such a waste of a valuable resource - this should be packed with stalls It seems who ever manages this needs to be thinking broader - its been like this for years and years... Get some antique, vintage, traders more food stalls - Mix it Up You have ample space - use it - make it a place that's worth visiting There are plenty of places for people to park near the Mill - Get that Car Park Full up with a wide variety of stalls / and the large barn - at the moment its sadly not worth a visit. Who runs this place - its same old same old - such a shame this place could be a destination place bringing in lots of visitors The food in the Cafe is limited and unimaginative... and your paying a premium for this- putting a few nice sofas upstairs - does not cut it Please do something to make the market successful and re think the menu

Bromham is such a lovely village and the Mill compliments it so well. A unique place to visit with nice walks and a fairy trail for the small children. Very pet friendly and good free car parking. The cafe is a treat. Go upstairs and you will find comfy leather chesterfields and some interesting history of the mill. The drinks are very good and the food fresh and very tasty. The staff are very friendly and welcoming . Highly recommended .

What a lovely setting! I can't believe we hadn't been here before. We will definitely go back. Lovely coffee. The carrot cake was way too sweet for both of us, though - the icing didn't seem to be made with cream cheese, which might explain that (maybe it was a vegan version?) The children's play area was quite busy, which was lovely to see. Next time we'll venture out on one of the walking trails.

I have been visiting Bromham Mill for several years and have seen the improvements that have been made to make it visitor and child friendly. We usually stop off for a coffee and cake or lunch during our morning walk, on a sunny day you can sit outside on the banks of the river beside the mill. There is plenty of inside seating and there is a smalll gift shop. The volunteers make a superb effort with the outside space, the fairy walk, with the little fairy houses is charming and of course there are plenty of fairies hidden about! There are more fairies in the gift shop always looking for a Forever home! With Christmas coming up I am sure the fairies and volunteers will have something exciting planned.

Entry to Bromham Mill is free. There is a woodland Fairy Trail and nature reserve to walk around. The children also love the wooden play area, although it is a bit uneven so very little ones could easily stumble. Inside the Mill you can visit the Made in Bedford shop featuring handmade gift items. Upstairs there is a large space for children to do some colouring, and you can also see the old Mill wheels and workings too. Certain days they have it running I think, but even when its not running its great to see and a conversation starter with children, mine loved it. Downstairs is a nice cafe too, wasn't too impressed by the coffee but the selection of food is good. A great place to visit!

Situated by the river, Bromham Mill is in an idyllic location. There is ample free parking, a large outdoor area with rustic tables and a children's play area. Once inside the Mill, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. The menu features a good variety of freshly prepared food. We plumped for the paninis, I had the tuna and mayo with salad whilst my hubby had the bacon and brie with crisps and coleslaw. Both extremely delicious. The cost with a coffee and a soft drink was £15. We did not have room for the wonderful looking homemade cakes (shame).Plenty of seating inside and it was lovely, quaint and cool. A very enjoyable brunch. Upstairs there is a small gallery selling pictures and other niche items. The old mill works are fascinating .I would recommend that better signage is purchased so that more people can visit this asset to Bedfordshire .A very well managed establishment. Highly Recommended.

Why no sign out in the car park,,?? why not just quickly mention it to people as they join the queue???Oh no thats too easySo left again hungry and frustrated at the total lack of customer service and care..☹️☹️☹️

It's a shame TripAdvisor doesn't seem to have an entry to review the Mill itself rather than just the restaurant. Set in stunning Bromham countryside with a fast flowing river, the Mill is a fascinating historical relic from the past. The cafe serves food at a reasonable price and I had a wonderful cream tea there. The cakes are yummy homemade creations. I liked their carrot cake. Two different groups run the cafe during the week and at weekends. Please note breakfast is not served on Saturdays and Sundays. The art gallery upstairs is lovely, though if you wish to buy something created by the artists in the gift shop, it's cash payments only. We spent an hour at the Mill last Saturday. Main reason for visit was we saw an advert for a Food Market which they appear to stage once a month. This was a bit of a let down with only a few stalls – most local farmers' markets have more to offer. We had a wander around the mill which is an old building with some of the original machinery and millstones on display. There is an audio tour, which you can pick up on your phone. There is a small shop selling mainly local crafts and there was an art exhibition upstairs. There was a small cafe, but that didn't look very inviting, there were people actually feeding their dogs off the cafe tables, so we decided to give that a miss. Outside you can see the old bridge with its many arches and there are paths to stroll along the river.

Visited Bromham Mill during Heritage Weekend (free visit). Had lunch prior to a guided tour and the lunch was very good. Limited menu, as you might expect, but tasty and good price. Inside (and outside) eating. Inside is very atmospheric and interesting as it is amongst the machinery. The machinery (we're assured) does work - when the river level is high enough, which it wasn't on the day that we visited. Now here's the thing ... we were talking to a couple, who are almost professional heritage volunteers, and they told us that the Mill would have received posters, banners etc, to advertise the open day. But there was NOTHING on display. So, they don't do marketing, which is a shame because they could have had so many more visitors who, if nothing else, would have boosted the takings for the cafe. The tour was great (thank you Edward) and informative - full of interesting anecdotes. All they need, it seems, is a Miller! So any experienced (volunteer) millers amongst you should offer their services to Bromham Mill. The other interesting thing about our visit, was the artists gallery. Some really nice and affordable pieces there.

You wouldn't expect to experience the best Indian meal of your life at a little watermill in Bedfordshire, but I just did!About 25 years ago I put myself off eating in Indian restaurants by making my own food. Nothing ever came up to my standard or particular taste. Then my wife started cooking them and everything went up a level. It's always nicer eating food cooked by someone else. Today, that bar just got raised another notch thanks to London based chef Del Chakravati who happened to call by at the mill to cook. For just £6 a head my family of 8 were able to enjoy a chicken, sag, rice and naan combo between us. It was full of flavour, quite spicy and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It was a generous helping too!So now Del is hinting at a return visit which would be extremely welcome. If this happened to be on a Friday evening, at a similar price and with the option of purchasing a beer or two with the meal, I am certain he would be on to a winner. Keeping the menu to just a few dishes allows Del to concentrate on quality and his passion for cooking is tasted in each glorious spoonful of delight. Highly recommended!
