Fantastic looking products, great tasting and good prices. Very pleasant staff and service. As an ex-baker of forty years experience I say "well done".

Purchased 3 steak pasties what has happened to this bakery used to be so good the pasties were awful no meat and just potato and onion no taste at all and the meat patties were the best but now it's all pastry about a teaspoon of filling won't be going Friary mill again.

Absolute rubbish, so much pastry, only minuscule amount of filling either side of pastry, wouldnt buy again, much nicer pasties in Plympton

Got some cocktail pasties for a party and found the crust was way to big compared to the size of the pasty! I'm not keen on the pastry from Friary Mill anyway as is too bread like and not like a short crust pastry. I also boaugh for me a peppered steak pasty better pastry than the normal ones although flaky but even with that was no pepper to speak of and the potatoe was hard and hardly cooked. Cocktail pasties bad value for money as mostly crust and peppered steak no pepper and undercooked potatoes. A bad experience altogether.

Lovely staff and lovely pasties, support your local non national chains. It is what it is and pasties are always great….

There are now two eat in coffee and snack shops in this terrace, both doing well but to the extent that at peak times they can be full. That and the pressure on parking places means that you can be stuck and hungry but that’s where Friary kicks in because they do still have a good range pasties etc, sticky buns slices and all the rest. No wonder there is often a queue.

This is not a noticeably good pub for food. On the lower side of ordinary. there are other places to eat in bigbury, not least the generally very good Oyster Shack. people who view this on the Plymouth listing should not be put off the wholly acceptable Royal oak pub at Hooe on the Plymstock Turnchapel side of Plymouth or the sometimes too busy and slapdash but largely OK Royal oak at Meavy.

Disgraceful, never again. Been eating and drinking there for years. Took family there for an evening meal. Having spent over £200 pounds, at 9:15 we were told they weren't serving any more drinks, as they were closing and we had to leave. No apology and the member of staff walked away while we were speaking to her. This was entirely unprovoked, we had been quiet and polite all evening. It was purely because it had gone quiet, and most customers had left, not surprising if that's how they treat people.
