Was a good place to have a meal, prices are reasonable just a little disappointed by the amount of chips with the mains, around 10 thin cut chips.

Cheap frozen food only way to explain it chicken was rubber and dry. burger looked like it come out of a can was dry and cold in middle. A spoon worth of beans drab out of date atmosphere considering the quality and we was the only people in thier at lunch time speaks volumes it self will definitely not be retuning

Visited last Sunday, was not advised of any items they did not have when we were seated, opted for the smothered platter to be told no we can't do that we have no chicken goujons, asked if they could be substituted for something else was told it was not possible, then opted for the lasagne but they didn't have that either. A lot of menu items use chicken goujons including the chicken burgers and katsu curry so these were all not available. Asked if we could have the platter at a discount but again was told no, the waitress then did go and ask the kitchen if they could be substituted but came back saying no because the till will automatically take the goujons off our stock but we don't have any. I do not believe the till system is that rigid that manual adjustments to items cannot be made, what if there was an allergy for example. Was very disappointed in how uncooperative the staff were.

We just had a great meal for a Sunday dinner the food was very nice the meat was nice and tender and you got it as much vegetables that you could eat which was great the only thing I would say is would be nice to have bigger plates the food was Well worths the price it was only 12.99 or £5.99 for kids and we had great service by daisy and Shannon

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday earlier this week with my husband who has an assistance dog for complex PTSD. We were told by the restaurant manager we weren't allowed in because he's not a guide dog, which is against the equality act 2010. I had to call the police and get them to explain the law to the manager, who then changed her mind but said "I'm now breaking company policy". My husband couldn't relax throughout the meal and his PTSD was severely triggered by the discriminatory treatment. The company needs to alter its policies to reflect the law. Still waiting for an apology after contacting the company management.

I stayed at the premier inn next door, and the meal deal of 2 courses for dinner and then unlimited breakfast for £26 is spot on! Staff super friendly, attentive and the food was a higher standard than I expected from a chain pub. Haddock and chips and the big stack burger were great and the breakfast huge variety too. Atmosphere? It's been pretty dead, so there isn't really an atmosphere as such.. nice and relaxing though! On my last evening, it was beginning to get busy, but Karen managed to get me a seat. She was extremely thoughtful and efficient about making sure my food was as expected and made my night wonderfully easy. Nothing to mark it down for!

Absolutely horrible service! We arrived and checked online that there were tables available. We came to the door and shaun asked us how he could help. We were a party of 9, so understood that we might have to be seated separately. Shaun told us in an incredibly rude way that he wasn't taking walk-in. He also told us that there were no tables, even though the pub was dead. He then told us if we wanted a table we could come back at 9pm, but the children couldn't come back. We had an understanding that we could order the food to our hotel room at the Premier inn. Shaun told us that they wouldn't even consider letting us order that much food. One of us went back later in order to complain and saw that shaun was allowing walk-ins of several people!!! So the pub did have tables and room! Horrible service!!! And incredibly discriminatory against us, as we assume the reason they didn't want us to have a table is because we were travelling with children. The premiere inn next door is great, but if you're travelling with kids and want to stay there for the sake of this pub, don't!! If you do stay there - get a McDonald's on your way up!

We were stopping at the premier inn next door, we asked for a table, and the man (Shaun) said he couldn't seat us all. We said we would split into small groups. We were told we could not get a table till after 9. But the children were not allowed in at that time. We went elsewhere. We did look on the app and there were tables for 2 to 6 people every 15 minutes from 6:30pm.

Absolutely brilliant meal and great table service from Karen. Amazing value for money and a great atmos all round. 10/10

Came for a quiet birthday meal for two, and enjoyed a perfect ambiance throughout. The manager booked us in very quickly, the food was great comfort food for a cold Sunday evening (with a charming chef serving us), and to top it off we had a sweet woman called Shannon looking after us. She is definitely the best! Thank you for a terrific birthday treat! :)

I've been staying at the Premier Inn next door for the last two weeks and I have chosen to eat here every morning and every evening without fail, because the customer service is absolutely brilliant, the food is served really promptly and every meal I have ordered has been delicious. I have been looked after tremendously well by Tracey, Sean and Karen, who have made the effort to know me by name and they've remembered what drink I like to order, to the point where my table has already been put aside and my pot of tea is ready for me the moment I walk through the door each evening. Amazing customer service. I have also been looked after by Shannon, Charlotte, Daisy and Alfie, who have also demonstrated brilliant customer service. In the mornings, Sandra has looked after me with the same care as the evening team, greeting me with a warm welcome, learning my name and remembering what I like to order etc. I could easily have eaten elsewhere from time to time, but chose to keep coming back here because I've been treated like family. I have future trips planned and I will most definitely be returning here. Thank you.

I have been coming here for the last few year's for work, i have always enjoyed the food, which is at a reasonable price, but more importantly, the service is excellent, i would recommend table table to anyone.

We recently stayed at hotel next to French Connection & used the restaurant twice. The food was good, reasonably priced. The restaurant needs a refurbishment, paint work outside is peeling off. Seating inside needs attention. We found some of the staff lovely & friendly especially the younger members. But unfortunately there was one lady who greeted us(in her 50s) could do with training in customer care.

Very limited food available, how can you have no curries, no rice, no pizza. There are only 13 items on the reduced menu. When drinks turn up, they taste terrible. Reorder drinks but no bottled normal coke. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. This isn't a delivery situation. We were at the same pub/restaurant before Christmas, and it was bad then, but not this bad. As this is next to premier inn, we were captive. Will not return.

This fills a place between the cheap and cheerful pub chain grub and the more trendy gastro pub, both in terms of menu and decor. So food is good without being outstanding value for money is good but not the cheapest etc. Not a lot of atmosphere but visits were early evening mid week.

This restaurant is an absolute joke, advertise sunday roast til 6pm, went a few weeks ago, and it shut at 4, we had already ordered the roast and before we went up they had already started putting it away, booked for today for 3.15 and when we arrived they said carvery was closed and they had no festive menu. Ridiculous!

Karen was our waitress this evening. She was very patient and helpful. She went out of her way to ensure my friends and I had a lovely evening.

Under cooked carrots, cheap frozen processed roast potatoes also undercooked, flavourless cauliflower cheese and rubbish customer service. Won't be going again. 🤢

Mixed grill - eggs overcooked, yolks rock hard, steak was at best 2 mouthfuls in size, chicken dry. In general portion very small compared to places like Beefeater Service was OK but once we'd finished eating we had to wait for about 15 minutes before somone come to clear the table and bring the card machine to pay Floor was filthy, had to kick other peoples food out of the way for me to sit down and put my feet under the table.

We had a great lunchtime family meal for 13 people. Service was good, food was great. Clean location good parking. Karen was very helpful and friendly and my Blue light card discount certainly helped.

The waitress we had this evening was just fab', I'm sorry I didn't get her name. Really friendly and professional. The music in the section we were in was barely decernable, which was a bonus. The food we had was very nice, I had the beef and ale pie & my husband had the pizza. Both very tasty and it's not often one can say that about a restaurant attached to a Premier Inn! Our waitress even improvised when my coffee order couldn't be fulfilled. All in all we were made to feel welcome and went back to our room full and happy. Very impressed.

The Sunday toast carvery is amazing!! The cheesy potatoes are to die for. Only negative is you have to book a early slot otherwise the turkey runs out quickly.

Took the family for Sunday lunch. Carvery was horrible. Carrots burned Yorkshire pudding was too hard. Hardly no meat, peas were cold. The staff were helpful. But for what we paid £105 the food was not worth that

Had lunch today. 10 of us including 2 kids. All had carvery except me with a mixed grill. Food was great and the waitress (Karen) was so friendly. Will definitely go back again.

Had a meal evening of Fri 18th Oct. I was seated quickly and even though I was on my own, I was given a good table, not just a 2 seater by the doors. Staff suitably attentive. I was served by Karen who was really friendly and helpful and efficient. Food was perfectly good and came quickly.

I went for lunch on a quiet Monday afternoon Tracey who served me had exceptional customer service skills making me feel welcomed and valued I had the Smothered platter which was lovely as always and the steak cooked to perfection (medium) however it was slightly chewy but apart from that it was a great experience

This place is hit or miss. Sunday carvery, choice of 3 meats, roast potatoes weren’t crispy, they were all squashed. Veg was ok. The gammon from the main menu was quite salty, jacket potato was ok but quite small.

I stayed at the Premier Inn next door and needed a space to sit and work with a colleague for a few days. The staff were absolutely incredible, always checking on us and nothing was too much trouble. Such lovely people, thank you for making my trip so comfortable x

Haven't visited here before, but would definitely return. We ate at lunchtime on a Sunday, spare of the moment after catching up with a close friend, booked a table for an hours time easily. The carvery was beautiful. Meat was tender, sides were great with plenty of choice!. Service was amazing!!! I'm rubbish with names but rhe young lady serving us (table service) was lovely, polite kind patient and attentive. Thank you for a wonder experience. I cannot tell you how delicious the cruchie cheesecake you have to try it!!

Have used this restaurant several times in the past when staying in the premier inn,arrived this time around 8pm booked a table for 8.30 sat down had our food which was mediocre compared to previous visits, finished our meals retired to the bar for another drink,ordered our last drink after last order bell approximately 21.50,then at 22.10 were told in a very unprofessional manner we needed to leave as they close at 22.00,I questioned this as it says 23.00 on Google, to be told Google is wrong!I asked why sell drinks at 21.50 if they close at 22.00?I feel this is manager's discretion closing at 22.00 on a Friday night,also a small group of people had arrived as we were leaving at 22 15 wanting drinks but were turned away,I think I'll find a different hotel close to the tunnel after this experience!!

Popped in with the family for breakfast after dropping the car off at Halfords for its MOT. Service was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet had good options including vegan bacon and sausages. The interior is a little dated but otherwise a pleasant breakfast which was very affordable. We will be back soon :)

Always a pleasure to have a meal with my wife at Table Table French Connection. All of the staff are friendly and helpful and our waitress today was Karen who is an extremely happy character every time we visit and definitely helped to make our dining experience a pleasurable one. Good menu choices. Tasty and well presented meals. Driving means no alcohol consumption but refreshing soft drinks. 🤓🤓

Three of us just went for a late lunch and Alfie served us. Not only was he an amazing host but we even left with music recommendations and enjoyed those on the way home after the delicious food. The other staff member was really nice too. Highly recommend.

We visited on a Friday afternoon, me and my 2 sons. We had a lovely time. It wasnt too busy or loud which was perfect for my autistic son. our server kerry-ann was so attentive she had heard my son say he didnt want to sit in a hot place and she suggested to him that he could sit under a air conditioning area which he and i enjoyed, however she had asked us twice if it was still ok as other find it too cold sometime but it was perfect for us, she even brought them some colouring to whilst waiting for food. The food was amazing hot and didn't take much time at all

Brilliant! Just been here with my family and child. All the staff were lovely, especially Karen who served us. What an absolutely wonderful lady. Food was delicious, the pudding was gorgeous and the atmosphere was really nice. Being autistic I'm usually very overwhelmed in restaurants and fussy with food, but I found both the atmosphere and food great.

All the ladies who served us this evening were fab, especially Karen and another young lady with dark hair. Really impressed and the food was lovely.

We (party of 2) arrived here just before last orders having not long got to the hotel. We had to go looking for anybody as there was no staff present at the bar or where we had been waiting to be seated. Once sat down, our orders were taken and drinks were brought over swiftly. In this time I used the bathroom and could barely wash my hands as the tap water was boiling hot. Later on we overheard a customer complaining about this so it wasn't just me. When the food arrived the garlic bread on both plates was literally black. I understand the kitchen was near to closing time but this isn't an excuse for the chefs to give us burned food. When we asked for fresh garlic bread, the waitress was quite rude (a reocurring theme), and it took so long for the new garlic bread to come that we had nearly finished the rest of our food by the time it came. To top this off, while we were still eating the waitress comes and puts the bill on the table, which we hadn't asked for. By this point we felt like we were being almost a nuisance to the staff for just being there. After we'd finished we asked the gent who seated us who we assumed to be the manager what time they closed, to which they said 10, different from the 11 we had been told at the Premier Inn reception. When we went to pay, we double checked this with the waitress, as the website also said 11, to which she said "well we're short staffed tonight and the website's just wrong" in a bit of a fed up tone. After paying we politely said we found it quite rude that we were brought the bill while we were still eating and before we'd asked for it, which was met with "well we're closing soon and I'm going home in a minute", which we thought was just foul customer service, a thought solidified when we then heard her walk into the kitchen and start kicking off about us. After a long day of travelling we thought this would be a chance to relax and unwind, but we were made to feel like a burden to inexcusably rude staff. We will be making a formal complaint and definitely not returning. If you are staying in the Premier Inn, I'd recommend just going to the McDonald's across the rode. Steer clear.

Staff were friendly enough but after being seated by the host there wasn't really any service after that. Had to go around and walk around to find stuff as we had gluten-free and vegetarian and family members sitting there waiting to eat. During this time we had to wait extended periods of time for food to come out, which again wasn't great quality. Unfortunately, as the food was left buffet style under heat lamps after a couple of minutes, the eggs were really horrible and inedible. The mushrooms and tomatoes again were not very nice either. There wasn't even nice coffee to wash it down, which was surprising as it was straight from a machine. Continental breakfast wasn't topped up while we were there and had minimal selection. Overall all ingredients and items available for the breakfast were such low quality. I wouldn't recommend it personally.

Amusing you have to book for an empty restaurant. Food quality can be summed up as “they microwave food on a par with a flat roofed Wetherspoons” Fine for sustenance, great if you like spongy chips.

Tried to eat breakfast with 5 other motorbikers after arriving by Eurotunnel but not been served, staff said they fully booked but restaurant isn't looked full and a lot of tables been empty, shame

Easy to get to, ample parking (maximum stay of three hours, need to register vehicle registration inside restaurant). A modern restaurant yet feels quite homely with a few nooks and crannies for seating. Has a cosy feel to the place, and decor all in good condition. Reasonable prices with weekday daytime special deals. Quality of the food and the presentation is good, together with polite, attentive and friendly service. Chicken goujons were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing on my last visit. Roasts available on Sundays, otherwise more of a 'American' feel menu. This review is based on several lunch time mid-week visits for a group of 7-10 people. Hopefully evenings and weekends the food and service are the same!

Booked for breakfast on a Sunday morning, the cooked breakfast was cooked very well with plenty of choice. It was an all you can eat buffet, but was content a single plate (not overfull!) of bacon, sausage, mushrooms, fried egg, tomato, hashbrown, and black pudding, All cooked perfectly. Baked beans and scrambled egg were also available, and seemed to go down well with the rest of the family. Free refills of tea or coffee (the cappuccino was okay) and/or fruit juice. Will definitely come again for breakfast before long. Looked like the restaurant has had a bit of a mild refresh so all looked clean and not tired.

Went here for a post birthday cocktail,beautiful blue lagoon was prepared quickly and was very nice . Friendly attentive staff ,clean tables nice relaxing atmosphere . Lovely for a Sunday afternoon tipple.

We popped in here for breakfast while our car was being serviced at a local garage and have to say we can't praise the staff enough. They explained to us we could hang around as long as our car took and to help ourselves to coffee (until breakfast time was over). Such good service cannot be over-praised. Thank you

Inexpensive food, nothing bad...meets expectations

An unmitigated disaster from booking the Christmas Day Menu for a family of four for £223.96 (an unanswered complaint since 18/12 except a guest service team auto-reply to say they will be in touch!) through to the Christmas Day Meal. Venue atmosphere was flat, no festive decorations in our area other than a cracker each. The staff were unhappy and complained their appalling table service and virtually complete lack of any service was because of the small number of staff on duty. We were closeted against a wall near the entrance and across from the toilets and had to search for staff when we needed help. The venue had very few customers at this point and still we were refused a different table. The food was pre-ordered and pre-paid. The starters took an age to arrive as did the inclusive glass of sparkling wine, so I was forced to go to the bar to order drinks while we waited. The Mains although pre-ordered had to be selected and collected from a typical self service carvery order point. I had pre-warned two of my party are elderly and disabled who required a plated table service. I served their meals at our table myself because the staff were unavailable and then had to have the meals warmed because the food and the gravy was between cold and lukewarm. It didn’t get any better, the desserts took 45 minutes to arrive and we gave up waiting for hot drinks to conclude and left in disgust. Take my tip and do not make my mistake of heading here for a Christmas Day pre-ordered, pre-paid meal. I wouldn’t even recommend going for Boxing Day, it would spoil your Christmas as it did ours, and even though our pre-paid bill would have been £120 less on Boxing Day for the same menu, it’s nothing more than a Sunday Carvery and the miserable atmosphere and staff made a joyous occasion, extremely bah humbug!
