Dobbies Foodhall in Ashford

Slow and rude service. Croissant I order was cold and hard, at best this was a couple of days old.

While visiting I went to the Waitrose food hall and then the cafe. Forgot how expensive Waitrose can be, no discounts here! In the cafe I was served by a lady who was put out I turned up at 3pm and then stuck up her nose as I didn't want onion in my salad. I think she just wanted to clean up and go home! The rest of the staff were lovely.

Quality food and drinks with extensive range. Clean, bright and tidy serving area. Range of seating types including bench-style, individual tables and more homely feel area often used for cream teas. Kept clean and tidy. An area especially for those with dogs. The foodhall also has bright, clean toilets.

Too many bloody kids whose parents allow them to run around the rest of the cafe because there's a crèche nearby. Also, not worth going to this garden centre if you want anything like a plant. Cafe is not the best, especially the queues!! Coffee is also horrendous...the staff need training on how to make proper coffee. Revisit Feb 23 - even worse. The place is crowded and service is still poor. The tables were dirty and are not cleared away quickly at all. While I was there, I never saw anyone selling tables down. Awful place!

Not as good as it was pre pandemic everything seems prepacked where as before you could choose what you wanted how little or how much!

Dobbies Ashford was lovely. Staff are wonderful, polite, smart , well spoken & extremely helpful. Would recommend to everyone. Food is also wonderful.

Love their food and at reasonable prices

I like Dobbies, difficult not to. However £2.10 for a diet coke two weeks ago. Now £2.25. That is a bit naughty guys.

First time for me in a Dobbies and I really liked it! Very cosy tables and so much food and dishes to choose from! Quality was good and the biggest scones I've ever seen! 😃 I'll be back!

Great place get Garden furniture and decorations, Has a little Sainsbury within the store and a amazing restaurant with a great breakfast menu, would recommend experiencing everything it has to offer

Basically a very good venue. However, some staff were not aware which cakes were vegan and the labelling was confusing. Other staff were excellent, especially those serving at the drinks station.

40 minutes wait for food unacceptable need to visit airport cafe to see how it works.

Overpriced. Long queues. Slow service.

Good food and dog friendly in most part of the complex. Breakfast was good but overpriced even compare to hotels breakfast. Spend £17 for 2 sausages, 1 fried egg, toast, baked beans, mushrooms, 1 tomato, 2 bacon, hot chocolate and apple juice. Good thing is there is a Sainsbury's section... (with a mark up but it is convenient specially if staying at one of the hotels on a long term basis)

Service a little slow at times.

Bit pricey but easy to grab some bits after a light lunch in the cafè.

Good place to go for a couple of hours full stop and you must visit the food hall.

Painfully slow service in restaurant not enough staff to cater for food, not enough cutlery or trays, could understand why people just got fed up waiting and left. I hope it was just a one off. Shame really room for improvement.

Needs more staffing, the staff they have are run off there feet, service was slow and the soup we had was only warm,the bagette which came with the soup was poor quality

Not much choice and long queues but they did seem understaffed.

This was almost like a visit to Fawlty Towers. There must have been around 8-9 staff working behind the counters, with not a lot of activity going on. Queued for a panini and after around 10 minutes of waiting just grabbed a pastry. Went to pay and found most of the staff gathered around the till point giving their tuppence worth of how to do something (when they clearly knew what they were doing). In all paid for an overpriced pastry and coffee that can be rated at best as average.

Lovely and roomy in the seating area even though it was very busy . The queue was quite long but you did get served quickly ... We were there at 10.30 am ..

I go here for the Butchers of Brogdale.Excellent value for money.

Food was cold by the time we had ordered our drinks and paid. Food was not great quality and the tea was awful.

The foodhall is now Sainsbury but Brogdale butcher's is still there. Good range of prepacked meats and butcher's on hand to cut and prepare neat.

Everything is way too expensive

The queues are unacceptable, waited twenty minutes for cup of coffee.

We went to the soft play here. Nice little play area but my baby found it a little boring with there only being shapes for babies to play with.

Food was good service was incredibly slow

Large garden centre with restaurant and hot & cold drinks, I visit frequently.

Most of what you need good butcher

Service is always so slow 🐌 seems like there is always a shortage of servers and the one person is running around like crazy with kitchen being very very slow in bringing out top up of food.

It's not really dobbies anymore. It is split between Sainsbury product and a butcher. You can get a good selection of products. Pay the butcher in the Foodhall but pay for the Sainsbury products at the regular Dobbie checkout.

Love the feel of Dobbies, the selection of plants are always very good, and always clean and tidy. The dobbies card is a no brainer for all the included drinks and in store discount, however, the restaurant/cafe is very expensive without this! Lots of free parking also makes it an easy visit. Staff are generally happy and helpful. More recently it seems a bit more "flee market" inside, with lots of cheap tat like "family name keyring" etc, and less high quality independant products. The change from the food hall to a local sainsbury's is definitely a big step backwards - the same products as a full size sainsbury's but much dearer! Hopefully the management introduce more high quality products otherwise I fear it will lose its appeal...

Limited service. Coffee good. Cream scones and cakes nice. Staff friendly. Puzzled that food served and cutlery is wrapped in napkin by staff not wearing mask or gloves.
