Food came 40 minutes late with no apology

UPDATE: Still not been contacted or replied to by fireaway Ashford. 3 weeks on. It's a real shame to have to write a negative review, but I feel it's right to give people a fair representation of Fireaway Ashford. We used to order from the Maidstone branch and loved it. Each time we have ordered from the Ashford site things have been wrong in the order.. usually it's a side, and they upgrade a vegetarian side to a meat side, which for some would be amazing but is no good to a vegetarian. We let that slide, as we still had the pizza. Well tonight after a very busy day we thought we would give it another chance. Neither pizza was correct, and there is no way to call or contact Fireaway Ashford to get them to make it right. I have made a complaint through their app, but that leaves us with £30.00 worth of food we cannot eat because it is someone else's order. So sick of delivery places seemingly thinking they can throw any old thing together and sending it out. Will not be using them again and expect my money back. Will update if I get a response from Fireaway Ashford.

Delivery just on time, food was hot, drink was cold. No problems :)

Really bad experience the worst pizza I ever ate thin like a paper no toppings, burnt and really late delivery.

Fireaway Pizza… more like Far Far Away Pizza, Great food but 2 and a half hours to arrive! Phoned 5 times chasing updates. Was told it was delivered when it wasn’t. Then had to reorder it all again. Was told excuses like the driver gave the food to someone else. It was the drivers first day. The driver had just left etc etc. Update : ordered again from them the following month. One and a half hours to be delivered. Called after an hour and they said, they were waiting for a driver to come get it and she will be there in 5 minutes. Seems to be a common issue with them. Gave them another chance but won’t be ordering again.

Online ordering was terrible, selected pizza, created account, website lost my order start over from select branch. Had to literally type my postcode 5 times to place order. Pizza took over an hour to get to me, driver got lost at an address 500 m from the store. Pizza still slightly warm and tasted ok Didn’t taste ok on way out 4 hours later. Full on projectile vomiting and tearing of stomach lining. Worst pizza ever

Service has been diving again recently. Food takes up to 2 hours to arrive. No one seems to know what's going on or they just lie. Chasing an order tonight the phone number isn't working now.

Don't order unless you want to wait 2 and a half hours for food and be lied to during the entire process. Several phone calls were made where we were given several excuses about why it hadn't arrived including that there was a big accident on the roads (there weren't) they were busy etc. very frustrating. Then the food finally arrives, it looks like the images attached. Would not recommend. Absolutely awful customer service. What an absolute waste of money.

Pizza was incredible. Tasted very fresh and was light, you don’t get the bloated feeling you get from conveyor oven pizza’s. Honestly pizza was better than most top end pizzerias

2 Years since I left this review and still no outreach from Fireaway, awful behaviour. ** EDIT ** Went for a second time, the bottom of the pizza was completely burnt, very disappointed. Couldn’t eat it waste of £7. After an amazing first visit seems the standards have dropped, ps can I have my £7 back? Reahced out to Firedaway to see if they would do anything regarding the burnt food no reply after 3 emails, rubbush!

Super fast service! Pizza 10/10

Ordered a delivery tonight, took over an hour and half to arrive from ordering. Over 40 minutes from order on its way notification. Called and unhelpful just told be asap! When it finally arrived the pizza was tasty.

We used to order regularly but the last three orders we have made have been wrong. We've had missing dip with only 3 jalapeños on a pizza, an order that had to be refunded that they had clearly forgotten about and only admitted to this after lying to us twice ("it has just left" then ten minutes later "the driver broke down" before finally agreeing they had forgotten it), this evening they sent completely the wrong pizza. I wasn't able to wait in another half an hour for a correct order so asked for a refund. They told me they could not initiate a refund from their side (which I know is not true) and to go through the website for it but there is no option to do this as I used the guest checkout, so I have paid for food I did not receive. No idea what is going on at Fireaway but ordering with them is just not worth the stress!

Today, we tried fireaway pizza for the first time, and it's 100% the best pizza in Ashford. Staff very friendly and happy to help with purchases. 10/10 Keep up the amazing work!

All the food we had was so tasty. The pizza dough was cooked to perfection, was so flavourful and light! The Chilli honey chicken wings were so juicy and tender and also delicious! We honestly cannot find a bad word to say about our experience

Lovely pizzas and lovely service

We placed our order on the Firewall website, and confirmed our collection for 13.10 hrs. When we arrived, the order was not ready, in fact it had only just been received! The website emailed to confirm our order was ready for collection, that was a lie!

THE GREATEST PIZZA SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN!!!! The pizzas are sooo CHEESY and Sooo TASTYYY!!! I will definitely recommend the pepperoni one. Chefs kiss 🤌. 😋😋 very friendly staff! I am in love with the food! Its halal aswelll. ❤️❤️

By far the best pizza I've ever tasted. Miles ahead of dominos, pizza hut, papa johns, you name it. Ordered multiple pizzas for the whole family, delivery was ridiculously quick, pizza was absolutely delicious - cooked perfectly, not overcooked or undercooked like it normally is elsewhere. Don't know what cheese they use but it was perfect! Halloumi salad and chicken strips to top it all off as well as some delicious milkshakes. I don't normally write reviews but for this one I had to. Hats off to you!

Terrible service! I don't know how they charge you a booking fee when they forgot orders. We called twice and it took nearly 2 hours for our pizzas to arrive. Even kids at Dominos Pizza run their place better! AVOID! nothing special about the food either...

Sorry but it was really bad. I had once before and was fine. But today took 2 1/2 hours to arrive. Pizza was burnt and just tasted of charcoal, potatoes were soggy and stone cold. Couldn’t eat it.

Avoid! I’d pay 19.80 for a super burnt pizza (oven shown temperature at 396 degrees) and an incredibly burnt wedges with a hint(so little)of Parmesan cheese. There is more places where the pizza are made in a fast paced but not like this hurry where everything carbonises….my wedges were like charcoals.

I recently ordered from here, I has a pizza mixed with A bunch of meat like chicken, pepperoni and stuff some peppers, jalapenos and red chillies. Very lovely, it was that nice in fact I had to leave some for later haha. I also had the oreo milkshake that was amazing. I highly recommend

Went fireaway for the first time walked in and had a great energy in the shop. Amazing music and amazing that u can watch the staff make the food in front of you. The pizza quality was great I would suggest the meathead great amount of toppings and wasn’t all bunched together. Overall I would recommend people to go and also I will be back.

Probably one of the most disappointing pizzas I’ve ever eaten… Basically ruined by an overload of cheese… Once cut the pizza was more like a lasagna… The base turned to mush… A pizzas base should be thin and crispy and remain crispy… The topping was a mess… I had barbecue on one half and a whole jar of barbecue sauce had smothered the pizza… So many better pizza places out there…

Really delicious pizza with wonderful customer service. I have ordered a number of times from Fireaway Ashford now and can’t fault them. I recently tried to use a discount code but couldn’t get it to work so reached out, and they were so helpful! My order then arrived earlier than expected which is always a lovely surprise. The pizza is incredible, it seems to keep getting better and better! It’s so fresh, and full of flavour. They have also recently updated their app which is so much easier to use. Much more intuitive and use friendly. I will miss Fireaway when I move away!!

Pizza is nice but I don’t like paying £2.50 for a can of coke. Didn’t realise at the time

In fairness these pizzas do have plenty of taste, but beware when ordering the gluten free option, as even though I made it clear to the staff the my daughter has a severe gluten allergy, there did not seem to be high importance when managing cross contamination. Although the staff did wash hands before and after handling the gluten free base, it was put in the oven onto the same rotating base as all the regular pizzas, then removed with the same removal device as the other pizza I had ordered. To their credit, they did remake the gluten free one, but I fear that had I not gone in store and watched them make it, it would have gone unnoticed meaning my daughter getting very ill from it. Other places I have visited offering gluten free options are very strict in their application of cross contamination protocols, its a pity this pace is less so. Hence the one star.

Pizza came hot and it was very delicious, I felt a bit greedy when I saw my own order (which was create your own pizza) but thanks to the team they made the pizza just right, didn't put too much of the items or very little. Parmesan garlic chicken wings were really good something different and milkshake is amazing. Delivery driver was very polite definitely best pizza in town very good service 👏

Wasn't impressed. Soggy base and very tight on ingredients...a few lumps of chicken, 2 mushrooms, and a sprinkle of sweetcorn. Will not be ordering again. The chicken strips were good though!

to put it simply, first time visiting a fireaway and my experience was amazing. the ambience was very welcoming and charming, the food and drinks was excellent (milkshakes to be precise) and the staff were very knowledgeable and make great recommendations. a must try.

got recommended to visit at least once by my mates and coincidentally when i was visiting my parents in Ashford i came across the fireaway there. upon first inspection when i came in, atmosphere was great, employees were extremely friendly and the food got prepared in a matter of minutes. the food itself i can only describe it as divine. from the starters right down to the pizzas every bite that i took was simply filled with taste and joy. Will definitely be seeing me again

Ordered when they had recently opened and was really good, large salad with plenty of halloumi and the pizza was really tasty. This time round, the salad was half the size, small pieces of burnt halloumi. The garlic and parmesan chicken wings were extremely hot. If I wanted hot chicken wings I'd have ordered the 'extreme heat' wings. I wasn't able to eat these as they were not advertised as spicy at all. So for £12 all I got was a less than fresh side salad. I have given it an extra star because my husband said the pizza was...OK.

First off, ignore those 1-star comments; They Have No Sense Of Taste. The pizza was absolutely AMAZING. So, I'll go into a little more detail: Ordering: Ordering was a breeze and due to the employees' kindness I was able to place my order within just a few minutes. Interior/Waiting: As I waited for my meal I looked around to see a clean and hygienic surrounding. I was amused by looking at the employees creating the pizza right in front of my eyes and placing it/ taking it out of the classical stone oven. Food: The food was absolutely incredible. I have never had better pizza. It was really amusing how they used the stone oven and I believe they used the classical Italian recipe for the pizza dough. As they used the stone oven, the pizza had a very crispy and rich texture. The cheese was really, really stretchy and gave a nice finishing touch to the pizza. The garlic and parmesan potato wedges were also spot-on. In conclusion I would definitely recommend Fireaway if you are looking for an authentic Italian pizza. WELL DONE FIREAWAY

Amazing pizza worth the money!!

The first and last time I’ll ever eat from this pizza outlet. Ordered two pizzas: margarita and pestuno. The amount of cheese used on both pizzas was excessive; I’d describe it as being sickly. Ingredients tasted very low quality, again, there was so much cheese slapped onto both pizzas it completely covered up the taste of the other toppings. Both pizzas were too greasy, more so the pestuno which was swimming in oil. I should have gone to Pizza Express. Sorry, but it’s a no-go from me. I won’t be returning.

I had heard good things about this place and had high hopes for it. I was really looking forward to the pizza. Unfortunately, it didn't come anywhere near meeting my expectations. The crust was dry, tough and chewy. The pizza sauce was almost non-existent, adding to the overall dryness of the pizza. The cheese tasted cheap and greasy, which ironically was the only part of the pizza that wasn't dry. And the toppings were sparse and looked like they were put on half heartedly. Overall, I could have got a much better (and cheaper) pizza from a kebab place. I'm so disappointed and won't be ordering from here again.

AMAZING!! Incredible level of service from an emerging business. Nothing but excellence, we made a big order to treat our staff at our care home and wow was we impressed. From the very start when we got in touch with the young owner, he was extremely welcoming and provided excellent assistance. On top of this provided us with a discount as a kind gesture. That is not to mention, the quality of the pizza’s was out of this world, incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. I have now built a relationship with the young owner as we were so impressed that we have set up a weekly order with them. If you have not tried them, you MUST! Trust me you will not be disappointed. Also had a discussion with the owner in regard to recent bad reviews on google from individuals who are trying to sabotage the business as they tried to get a refund for no valid reason which was not accepted therefore the individuals said they were going to write bad reviews to try and ruin the reputation on purpose. Owner explained how disheartening this was considering the amount of hard work and efforts that have gone into the business so if everyone reading this can please ignore the recent few bad reviews of individuals trying to sabotage the business on purpose. This is not fair on the business, they don’t deserve it. When you try the quality of their food, you will see for yourself. OUT OF THIS WORLD. Hats off, keep up the good work Fireaway Ashford and forget the haters.

Extremely poor customer service. Ordered 2 different pizzas, one was correct, one was not correct. I accept mistakes happen, this has happened with Domino's pizza before, who have kindly replaced an incorrect order. However, not Fireaway Pizzas in Ashford. I rang and spoke to someone, only to be passed from person to person, who wasn't really listening to me and was talking to someone else in the background whilst i was attempting to explain i had received the wrong pizza. The manager eventually came onto the phone but wasn't listening to me. He wanted to know each ingredient that wasn't correct. He then continued to talk to someone else and again, wasn't listening to what i was saying. I asked if i could get a replacement pizza, i would even come collect it but that was not an option according to the manager. He rambled for a bit and said, not much can be done about it, it's Saturday night and they are busy and they apologised for the wrong pizza but said nothing can be done to rectify it. Before i had a chance to say anything, the phone went dead. Clearly i was hung up on. I rarely leave reviews but when the customer service is so poor i felt i had to leave one. However, just to be fair, after i picked all of the toppings which i didn't like (not much was left) the pizza looked pretty decent quality and the small bit i did eat tasted pretty good. I won't be using this service again, nor will i recommend it to anyone, if you can't get a pizza order correct or attempt to rectify the error after paying £20+ then i don't think you really deserve my money. Customer service skills = zero. **your response is bizarre and just as rambling as your customer service was on the day this happened. It's just pizza, i don't need compensation, I'm not interested in that, i can afford pizza, but as a consumer of your company i am entitled to leave a review to help inform others of the experience i received. As i said before, your pizza looked pretty decent and it would have been good if you got the order correct- but you didn't and your customer service skills are as lacking as your food hygiene rating**

The quality of this pizza is very poor for the price. We ordered pizza from here about a week ago and both me and my partners jaw hurt after eating it the base was that tough. We emailed fireaway to complain but have heard nothing back, extremely poor customer service but reading other reviews it seems like a common theme. I wouldn't order from here again or recommend to anyone else and will stick to Papa John's or Pizza Hut next time as the quality of food and customer service are alot better. It's a shame as the first time we had it the food was really nice but seems to have gone downhill since then.

Ordered 18:20. Food arrived 19:45. Cold. Manager had a no care attitude. Pathetic service. Poor value for money. Will not order here again. No matter how you respond people must know what service and poor quality food we received. Not even an apology from you. You have lost my business for good

A great find on a day out for work. One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The staff member was polite, friendly and thoroughly improved my day. Who needs Indian or Chinese. I will definitely be going back 👍👍
