Freddos Ice Cream in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Best ice cream in Newquay! We went on Bank Holiday Monday. Many of the other ice cream shops had long queues, but we went to Freddos and were so pleased we had. Delicious ice cream made on the premises, amazing bubble waffles, great friendly service. Don’t go anywhere else in Newquay, go to Freddos!

Had a Cornish Affogato and it was delicious. Friendly staff great atmosphere, great variety of flavours! Good location and must visit!

What a lovely place with such amazing staff! We visited twice in the last week as our 6 year old daughter wanted ice cream (on the cold windy days of course). Both times we were greeted with smiles and conversation, all the team members took the time to speak to my daughter and ask her about her day. They were all so kind. The ice cream is delicious and made to taste all that much sweeter when served by such wonderful people. Thank you all for a lovely experience.

Amazingly friendly staff, fantastic choice of ice creams and sweet treats (savoury options also available but we didn’t sample) nothing is too much bother for the staff (we have an allergy child and have to make many requests) we’ve been many times before and will be back again many more times. Keep up the great work

Lovely friendly spot for ice cream! We had bubble waffles with ice cream and a Belgium waffle with dairy free ice cream. All were delicious! The dog was feeling left out, so we treated him to a special doggy peanut butter cup version :)

Popped in today for an ice cream with my family and they did not disappoint. Welcoming atmosphere, dogs welcome and the ice cream was delicious. Super creamy and a good selection of flavours.

Stopped here to shelter from the rain and of course try the ice cream. Staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly, especially to our tired dog. Kids enjoyed their ice cream and the adults enjoyed their hot drinks whilst getting dry. Highly recommend.

During our recent visit to Freddos, I regretfully do not recommend going there based on our experience. We encountered an issue with the service as there was only one staff member, who appeared older than the rest and had a bald head and glasses. This particular staff member exhibited a remarkably rude attitude when i approached him inquiring about the doggy ice creams. We had received our cream teams and waited around five minutes for the others to come out. I was not rude or did not complain, I was simply asking as they may have forget which is completely understandable. I understand that occasionally people can forget amidst their busy schedules. However, the male staff member's response was shockingly unpleasant, unlike anything I have ever encountered before. Despite the cream teas being delicious, the encounter with the impolite staff member completely soured our overall impression. I acknowledge that individuals can be busy, stressed, or unwell, and I would not typically write a review like this, but our experience today was undeniably dreadful solely due to that particular individual.

Such friendly welcoming staff! If you are in Newquay please pop a visit. Lovely coffee and delicious ice cream. It was just me and my daughters and they came over and made such an effort with them! I'm local and will be recommending to all! Thank you.

A fantastic spot for an ice cream and a coffee. The cafe is always clean, with a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff are always extremely friendly. The choice of ice creams, cones, topping etc. is perfect. They even do tiny taster cones, which are great for small children who can't yet manage a full size ice cream. As with all cafes in Newquay--depending on season-- you might have to watch out for herring gulls if you choose to eat outside!

Wow! I had a coconut ice cream in a cone. It was the best ice cream I have ever eaten. My daughter had a waffle, which was amazing too. Service with a smile and they welcome dogs. We will be back!

Popped in for a cream tea. We ordered one tea and one oat milk latte. Everything was great, especially the coffee. The staff were so friendly. Lovely place.

Customer service was exceptional, the girl who served us was really friendly and helped us out of a sticky situation. My daughter had a milkshake (best milkshake she’d ever had !), husband had a coffee which he said was really good (and he’s picky about his coffee) and dogs got a treat too. Ice creams looked gorgeous, think we’ll get one of these next time as will definitely be back

The choice of ice-cream is very good, and the cornets are lovely. The hot chocolate is great too There are tables outside when the weather is fie its a nice place to sit and relax while enjoying your favourite ice-cream or drink

Grabbed a sandwich to eat at airport before flying home. Went for the Trio Tricolore …. oh my word it was absolutely out of this world. Fresh Cornish bread, beautifully fresh ingredients (and a great flavour combo). Can safely say this was the best sandwich I have ever had!! 😋

Although we were only stopping for a coffee (very tasty too since you ask) the service was nice and friendly. Always think when you see a place welcoming four-legged guests as well it's going to be a good one. The ice-cream looked nice as well but we were heading for dinner soon after so had to abstain.

Popped in for a coffee ended up staying for lunch! Salads Panini’s & Toastie all nicely presented & tasty! And the ice cream was lovely too! Warm & friendly atmosphere & staff well worth a visit 😀

Stopped off here to pick up an ice-cream and I'm so glad I did. A super selection of flavours but would highly recommend Crunchie. A lovely big scoop of ice-cream was given and for £2.50 was exceptional value.

Wandering aimlessly round Newquay, we walked past the bottom end of the town with all the hipster coffee bars and surf shack towards the slightly quieter area after the main shops. This is where you will stumble across Freddo’s, next to the Rip Curl shop....

We loved the ice cream here, the peanut butter was really good and different to anything I’ve tried before. It’s made from local Cornish peanut butter. Salted caramel was also a winner! Will definitely be back when next in Newquay :)

During a recent visit to Newquay I came across this lovely place to have a great cup of coffee and lovely home made ice-cream. All the staff were engaging and customer service brilliant and situated the junction of Marcus Hill and East Street.

Great little place with wide variety of good quality ice creams and sensational shakes. Groovy background tunes, Wi-Fi, good coffee and doggy ice cream to boot. Perfect spot.
