Only thing I can say, don’t go, I’m no cook but I reckon I could of done better, waited 35 minutes and to get served below average breakfast very disappointing, even bread and but was hard,

My daughter and I popped in for a quick bite after a great walk in Weald Country Park. We both chose the smashed avocado on sour dough toast with smoked salmon and poached egg. It really did not disappoint. The flavour was great, it wasn't too moist and the eggs were perfectly cooked. A great spot for a tasty snack

Popped in for a quick bite and a drink. Very friendly service and the food was lovely. Chose a bacon roll and they did not skimp on the bacon. Went back and ordered another!

We go here regularly. Food is great and service excellent, staff very friendly. Today a different girl served us. Rude and dismissive. Disappointing.

I liked the look of this cafe on line and we were certainly not disappointed. There were five of us plus our three month old granddaughter. We were made so welcome had delicious coffee and cakes in delightful surroundings. Such kind and friendly staff. Thank you! Parking nearby too.

We dropped in on the off chance looking for a quick lunch. What a lovely find. Perfect food & drink topped with friendly service. We will certainly be back. As an added bonus we got our car washed next door whilst we ate.

Have ordered twice now from this place. Not only is the service quick and friendly but the pizza was delicious! Have tried now both the pepperoni and the Mediterranean and I look forward to working my way through the menu! Have also popped in a few times for coffee which is also excellent, as are the breakfast rolls!

Only ordered 2 coffees and a hot chocolate, it was like I'd ask to drown her cat. Then waited 10 minutes sat at a table listening to the older lady snap at the younger one over what drink she had to make next as 8 people sat aside. 1 coffee was brought over then heard they were making an order that was put in after mine. So I asked for my money back and left to which I was greeted with "just take it from the tip jar". No apology or acknowledgement from the miserable unwelcoming old witch. Definitely won't be going back.

I'm not too local but was driving past and thought I would get my car washed and while I waited I went into the cafe and had a lovely coffee. They had a good selection of pastries and the chef came and spoke to me and told me about the new upcoming menu (mid April) so I will definetley be back again. Also I tried a slice of the homemade pizza which was delicious and got a takeaway brownie which was again homemade and very very satisfying, and to top it all off the staff were fantastic very polite and accommodating.

Been here couple of times and never dissapointing. Coffee is great every time. Very tasty breakfast too. Definitely one of the nicest cafes in Ongar.

Me and my wife have visited here on several occasions. Staff are friendly, coffee is great and food is good. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Ongar :)

My son had a wonderful veggie breakfast which was crammed with lovely fresh food... avocado, mushrooms, veggie sausages, two poached eggs, sauce, toast, huge tomatoes, cooked spinach...it was delicious and cooked beautifully. Panini was great with perfect cup of coffee too, really hit the spot on a cold and blustery day! Thank you for the lovely food and for making us feel so welcome,and for the chocolate!

I started using this place because it was convenient for the car wash next door. Now it is my coffee of choice in the Ongar area.

We received a super smile from Lola as we entered and Lilly couldn't have been more helpful in sorting out my mobile phone and being extremely friendly. Our order of coffee was well flavoured and hot. The panini filled with mozzarella, basil and tomato I would rate was one of the very best I have ever eaten. This came with a bowl of fresh salad that was well dressed and the overall cost showed outstanding value for money plus the tables, chairs and floor were spotlessly clean. We will visit again.

I pop in once a week while I wait for my car to be washed staff always run to the door to help me in with my pram. The waitress always tries to help keep kids entertained when she’s not busy serving. Breakfast is amazing the hollandaise sauce very good. The salads are fresh and prepared daily I’ll often take one home to accompany my dinner. Noticed you had new smoothies on menu the green one was very refreshing. Looking forward to coming back

Not everything on the menu was 'on'. So chose a salad from the three options in the chilled display being a mix of prawn and rice together with beetroot and anchovy. Best thing was a generous cup of good black coffee. Good solid and unpretentious.

I visited here this weekend for the first time, I believe there is a new chef as the food was amazing, played traditional Italian music. Poached eggs were out of this world - would definitely recommend.

A Sunday stop at this coffee shop/cafe whilst visiting friends and family in Ongar proved to be disappointing.

I waited 15mins at the counter just to order and yes the server said sorry but still did not take my order to enable to sit down. I ordered a capachino, an Americano and two pastries to be heated. The pastries were put in to heat immediately but the we waited 20mins for our order to be served by which time the pastries were barely warm and my Americano was tasteless. I live locally but will never go there again. £10 wasted.

Just had a delicious cappuccino there, whilst waiting for my car to be washed. Coffee was far superior than any of the high street chains.

We've visited here several times now for food and coffee. The food is made fresh and has plenty of flavour. The coffee is also very good.

Superb coffee! We have had lunch here quite a few times now. A different selection of food each visit from pastas, really tasty salads, lasagna, panini, pastries, cake. Lovely location, bright and airy, decorated really nicely and staff are so friendly and attentive. You won't be disappointed

Can’t believe this is the same place I visited a year ago. What a transformation!! From a greasy spoon with rude staff and instant coffee, to a lovely, comfortable little coffee shop with friendly, polite staff. Forgot to mention the excellent coffee. A change for the better.

This is the latest addition to Ongar's coffee scene. The coffee is great - possibly the best in Ongar. There is also a good selection of snacks to enjoy. Nice relaxed setting to sit and enjoy your purchase.
