Good for drinks and food but don't use function room. Very rude and waste of money. Ruined our evening, very disappointed

Booked the back room for a function and the service we experienced was terrible. The bar staff were nice and helpful with drinks until a very early closing with no notice. Had a dicussion with manager and explained our feelings, they will no refund our deposit and were actually very ruse. Will not be going back there. Very disappointed

Stopped in with 2 children after a walk for a drink and a snack. Was told tables were reserved for later but might be able to sit down for about half an hour as long as we were quick. Asked to order chips but was told the chef might not want to do them just yet as there was a large party to cater for first. Decided to have a piece of cake but could they confirm if the brownie contained nuts and was told that they couldn't confirm this as the lady who baked them wasn't currently working. Surely it should be written down regardless? Such a shame to end our afternoon feeling disappointed.

Food was fantastic, staff were really friendly and accommodating - especially Clem who went out of his way to make our experience 10/10

Went in today , wanted a bit of cake but 1 of my group has a nut allergy, asked the staff about ingredients and was told they don’t know and that the lady who made it wasn’t working today . Tried to order a bowl of chips to accompany my drink , was told not sure if it was possible as the chef might not want to do it . Server said if I knew about working in hospitality and catering I’d understand. Guess what 24 years I’ve been working in the trade and rarely seen such poor attitude. Finally went to pay and they tried to charge for something we’d not had . Good spot to go on the piss on a Friday, not much else

Frankies is my favourite weekend spot for a cocktail and some good music. The Dj’s and lice music are amazing and the bottomless bingo is just amazing. The closest thing to Manchester centre to find in this area

Old fashioned was absolutely stupendous perfect amount of smoke and a lovely drink overall I would highly recommend the food is also very lovly and the staff are amazing

We had a great day. I've seen all the details on frankies Instagram and heard them so got 3 other friends and we went. Lauren and the staff at frankies were also great 😊.Thinking of going again as its my birthday tomorrow but will be dragging it out lol. Look forward to the next one 😊👌

We had so much fun at Bottomless Bingo. A fab host with a great voice. The drinks kept on coming and the food was delicious 😋 we loved the music and it got everyone up dancing. Thanks for a fab night!

5* love this place. The staff are lovely, the food and cocktails are second to none. I recommend the surf n turf (Steak, prawns with mac n cheese) and the best cocktails (zombie or Singapore sling). This place has something for everyone, live music, 241 cocktails, art masterclass' and bottomless bingo. Highly recommend

We had the most amazing afternoon of great food, wine and bingo! Didn’t stop laughing , perfect for a girls get together. Will definitely be re booking for the bottomless bingo and have taken other friends since for a bite to eat. Great bar x

Bottomless bingo was amazing! Such a good night out. Food was delicious and staff were brilliant at making sure you always had a drink and were really accommodating! Lauren was great and had some really great prizes. Already looking to book again soon! Definitely recommend booking.

Went with a group of girls to the bottomless bingo brunch! Endless amounts of drink, some lovely Food and great bingo prices! The lady Lauren who hosts the brunch is amazing and gets everyone up dancing on chairs and we had a right laugh. Good value for money, will definitely be back 🎉🥂

My daughter and I went to Frankies last night for Steak night - this is every Wednesday. Two steaks and a bottle of wine £30. The steak came medium to rare as we asked for it, Accompanied with mashed potato, spinach and a small jug of peppercorn sauce. It was absolutely delicious, steak was cooked to perfection and beautifully arranged on the plate - couldnt fault it. Compliments to the chef. The service in the bar from the staff waiting on was also excellent, service with a smile. - we will be back xx

I remember the former Mouse Trap pub, before it was converted and expanded into this quirky wine bar. It certainly fills a niche in Disley, serving well-kept beers alongside well-made cocktails. Very busy with the younger crowd on Friday & Saturday evenings, with loud music and a good vibe, with a more varied clientele at other times. Very nice furnishings, a small seating area out front, and friendly & efficient staff. I would like to return to try the food sometime.

5 star and beyond this afternoon ,the staff were amazing as was the food and the entertainment was fantastic ,we will definately be attending the next bottomless brunch a big well done to everyone Jacqui

I called in frankies spontaneously this evening for dinner and was spoilt for choice with the menu ,I ordered the steak rainbow salad and have never had a salad as perfect the steak was so tender and tasty (cooked to perfection ) and a really generous amount of everything, I also ordered the Mac n cheese which Ive had in many restaurants and this again was the best I’ve had I can strongly recommend,I even asked for the chefs name as I wanted to let him know ( so Thankyou cam )! The young lady working on the bar (kenzie ) was rushed of her feet as it was quite busy , but was so polite and made sure everyone was taken care of she couldn’t do enough for us despite it being so busy ..💫

Just popped in as passing and fancied something to eat and a drink. The young staff were amazingly attentive and good at their job, well done! The food was very good too and the homemade pie was just that, tasty and felt homemade.

Me and my friends were on a bar crawl to celebrate her birthday. When we got to Disley, we decided to go to Frankie’s wine bar. We waited at the bar for a good while waiting to be served (baring in mind we were the only ones at the bar) and of the managers (Clem preece) said he refused to serve us, due to a personal issue with one of the members of our party. Luckily, the other manager (Didn’t catch her name) served us. While we appreciate that he may have felt awkward, you need to maintain professionalism in the work place. So that was our overall experience, we will not return. We won’t be recommending this establishment as we felt unwelcome and the staff were unprofessional and unnecessarily rude to paying customers.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The car park behind the building has a time limit but there is free on street parking right outside of the lodge. Booked for one nights stay at the lodge, The room was bigger than expected and very bright. The food was really good although they only have a set steak menu (including Ve option) on a Wednesday. Overall really lovely place.

Omg - we went here last night to celebrate my daughters new job - had prosecco and then the most beautifully cooked rump steak with peppercorn sauce. My husband likes his steak blue and that is exactly how it came. My daughter Portia and I asked for medium rare - perfection on a plate. The only suggestion would be a choice of extras as both my daughter and husband dislike tomatoes which it was served with - may be a choice of tomatoes or mushrooms? The chef was called Cameron Davies. Service was fabulous , staff are obviously very well trained - a visit is a must!! We will be back - going to try the afternoon tea next :)

Food and room were fabulous, but we were disappointed as we were told we could have the function room until 7pm. This was not so as the staff refused to serve drinks after 5pm. Thank goodness this did not spoil my daughters baby shower.

We came to Frankie’s for their first steak night and we were blown away! We both ordered the same steak dish, it was cooked perfectly, tender and all around a tasty meal. The steak came with a range of sides which went down well with both of us. There were two members of staff upstairs who kept us well attended to and made us feel very welcome. They seemed interested in our experience and it was lovely to see that they care.

Warm fires, banging food, cold beers and great tunes!

Ok so I’ve been going to Frankies since it opened 10 years ago, even had my 30th birthday there, always been amazing service, food the lot. However since their long standing manager Luke has left along with what seems to be the majority of the staff that worked alongside him the place is just not the same. I have been 4 times (out of sheer hope that it would improve each time) since the management and staff have changed. All 4 times I have had to ask staff to come and take drink orders, provide us with the food menus and clear our tables once we had eaten. I went today and for about 20 minutes staff stood talking and chatting away catching up on the weekends events whilst myself and a friend sat waiting with empty glasses and empty plates, I eventually gave in to my frustrations and asked them to clear the table. Not only that but my friends food came out nearly 15 minutes after mine! The place was dead so no excuse of being crazy busy, there wasn’t even any music on, just huge lack of any atmosphere which is a real shame as I have always had so much time for the place. It seems to be that the new much younger staff have a very real absence of any kind of management in place I think if they had that then it would help improve things a lot. That aside the food was lovely but the experience in general, again, was not a great one.

My self and my friend won a competition for a bottle of wine and a choice of 6 small dishes! It was absolutely out of the world. The food, drink and the service!! Thank you so much again we had a lovely night and if you haven’t already, you really need to give this place and the menu a try you won’t be disappointed 😍😍😍

my friends and I visited Frankies last week after multiple recommendations, however we felt let down. considering the restaurant was empty, besides us, the service was quite slow. the cocktails were lovely, although the same cannot be said for the food. the burgers were bland and my friends fish tacos were stone cold. the mexican potatoes as advertised were extremely disappointing, as they were about as mexican as a cup of tea! as if this wasn't disappointing enough, a waiter took my friends plate before the rest of us had finished, which is extremely unprofessional. on a positive, the girl behind the bar was lovely and very apologetic.

DON’t STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO RELAX!!! We stayed at Frankies wine bar and lodge for a one night getaway to attend a 40th birthday party. Our room was tiny, our bed was tiny and lumpy and the quilt was an even smaller blanket that barely covered us both. Myself and my husband are not big people. The carpet in the room, from other guest’s shoes, was a bit dirty and that made us want to constantly walk from the bed to the bathroom in socks or shoes. In the morning, I thought I’d make myself and my husband a cup of tea but I had to fill the kettle from the bathroom tap and there was only one sachet of sugar. Our room was situated on the ground floor, right on the road so we could hear lots of noise from outside until about 1AM when the bar closed. It also sounded like we shared a wall with the club and there was loud, pumping music until about the same time. With all that in mind, the people are friendly and helpful, the bathroom in our room is nice and there is a cupboard with a light to hang your clothes. The room was clean (apart from the carpet). Was a cheap place to stay for one night but I won’t be returning.

I love coming to frankies wine bar. It's a great place for food and drink. They have good music artists on ever so often. The staff a friendly. We had a pram and they let is into the back room to have food which was nice.

Lovely modern venue, extensive cocktail list and lovely quick service. We didn’t try the food but would definitely like to next time we visit

My daughter and I booked a table for 'Taco Tuesday' . We asked to move from where they had seated us as it was in the middle of the room and we prefer to be at the back or side. Not a problem , all very easily sorted. As it was a Tuesday it wasnt that busy , we ordered our food , I had the Taco's that were amazing- loved them. My daughter had the steak and philly baguette which was also delicious and loads of it. We were served drinks at our table as I have a disability and find it hard to get to the bar. We were served by Devon and Kensi who were lovely. Definitely recommend x

OK. Had no idea this wine bar sold great real ale. Just off the busy A6 this is a lovely location apart from the traffic. Great interior. Great find. Seven Brothers brewery (Apparently 7 brothers founded it...do a Kellogg's Cornflake beer as well. ) Small road side beer garden. So pint of 7 brothers pale, wine for Flic and huge Mint Aero Cookie and butter cream (£5).

Stayed here for 1 night after going to a wedding. Enjoyed the bar which was spacious and clearly gets busy as lots of tables were reserved for later. All the staff in the bar and lodge, both before and during our stay, were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they were great with helping us to sort local transport. The lodge rooms (we had 2) had tidy decor and were exceptionally clean. The upper room was a bit warm but then it was the hottest day of the year! The lower room at the front could do with blinds as well as curtains as it feels a bit exposed with people walking past. There was some noise from people heading home from their nights out and also from traffic as the road gets quite busy but that's only to be expected given the location and this is reflected in a very reasonable price. I would say not a place for a peaceful get away but certainly one for a lively and pleasant stay in what feels like a big village

Staff at Frankies are lovely. The cocktails are another level, great live music and good in the week for a lunch spot.

If you want a good night of rest, of tranquil sleep....stay somewhere else. The room was extremely noisy with heavy bass blasting out. The name Frankie's Wine Bar should be renamed to Frankie's Club, so that potential customers know what they're letting themselves in for. There are other reviews in support of this. Although management will say the volume was reasonable, this is absolutely false. Just to add insult to injury, the room I was staying in had electric issues which meant the lights were continually turning on and off, akin to something from a horror movie. I went down to the bar at circa 8pm to say that I couldn't stay in the room and was met with utter disregard and thus I had no choice but to hand my keys over and then in. My day had been ruined. When I complained about this two days later on the Monday, so as to allow management to respond, I firstly had to chase the following day (apparently they were busy) and I was offered nothing at all other than a poor response, with most of my points not acknowledged. Apparently, they would like to make customers feel uncomfortable by standing in a very busy bar, surrounded by drunk patrons, and shout their complaints over the bar..... So, so poor. The only thing worse than the room is the attitude received from staff and management.

Great little place. Always a good vibe here , only really had drinks as usually gigging here. Staff all brilliant, one of our guys has ate here before said it's great.

Really pleasant staff and great atmosphere. The band were fantastic and really livened the mood. I was particularly impressed by the barmaid, who had great energy throughout the night and was a real gem. Will definitely come again with my friends for some drinks x

We decided to stay local for our valentines evening. The food was absolutely delicious, accompanied by great live folk, soul music from Pete Churchman. It was altogether perfect. We eat out all over the uk and are real foodies. The standard of food was amongst the best we’ve eaten. It’s Disley village’s gastronomic little gem. Superb!

Terrible service, busy loud bar staffed by incompetent hipsters, would not recommend. We had a table booked for 7.30, we walked into a bar packed of what appeared to be underage teens, after 10 minutes waiting we managed to catch a staff member who said she'd be back, she did not reapper, 5 more minutes pass and a staff member hollers accross the bar that our table was in the back room and to seat ourselves! We go to our table and wait 15 minutes before a staff member appears. She asks if we want to order a drink, we hadn't been given a drink menu, having seated ourselves. We order our food and drinks and ten minutes pass untill someone comes to inform us that one item we had both ardered was not available and would we like to order something else, we no longer had the food menu and she didn't think to bring one. She informed us that she had already put the rest of our order through to the kitchen se we had to stick with what we had already ordered! We eventually ordered one more small dish as the unavailable item was the main reason we'd chosen to dine there, obviously it's noones fault that the item had sold out, but, had the staff been competent and some had actually seated us, they could have told us then said item was unavailable. The music in was horribly loud dance music, too loud to hold a reasonable conversation. And the lights in the whole place flickered and dimmed of their own accord. We ended up spending 50£ on two drinks, two plates of 'truffle' fries, fried chicken and two cheese dishes. One of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had. We also had the misfortune to have booked a room for the night here, so don't even get me started on the music booming through the walls untill 1 am and then the bars customers outside the bar being ludicrously lound until 2am, safe to stay we were too tired to go on our planned hike on Sunday due to lack of sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Post walk in Lyme Park, this is our regular haunt. Always good. Excellent coffee and lovely cakes. Staff ard always good. Decent selection of drinks and a lovely interior with sime outside seating. Very good!

Came here for drinks before moving elsewhere and were not impressed, the place was very small and not well laid out which meant that it was very busy with people getting in each others way and an overly-loud atmosphere. To make matters worse, the staff came to our table, stated they needed it and walked off with it!

Apparently first time the chef has tried tapas on the menu. Tasty, lots of it and very good value. Hope the chef continues to build on this theme

This is not a review regarding the Wine Bar. This is just an account of our visit to stay a Friday and Saturday night in Room 2 on the ground floor in the Lodge.

Great night good range of beers ,spirits,shots. Live music 2 guys playing the guitar and singing really excellent. All in all very good atmosphere

Spent a cosy afternoon here and enjoyed the warming real fire. Food choice a little limited, but the menu should please most people. Food quality is excellent, very good service and a good choice of beers. Definitely one for another visit soon.

We were staying here as we'd been to a wedding at the nearby golf club and we were part of a wedding party, we expected to be able to go back to our accommodation to enjoy a drink and reflect on the day, but it was closed. We were under the impression that breakfast was included as per the website and it wasn't, we then had to try and find somewhere to eat, very disappointed not the whole experience we had hoped for,

Wonderful lunch yesterday ~ so relaxing we were made to feel most welcome. We had gorgeous cocktails and amazing food.

We were let down very last min for an afternoon tea for a surprise party for my Mums 60th Birthday, the staff at Frankies were amazing and were able to help us out, saving the day. The afternoon tea was so very tasty and we were supposed to receive our own individual stack, even a special kiddies one for my 4 year old. A superb afternoon tea which we would repeat without hesitation anytime! Loverly place, tasty food and awesome staff, thank you very much!

Months of planning a surprise birthday 60th tea for family and friends cancelled at Lyme park, trees down due to strong winds. Round of applause for Frankie’s came up trumps with seating and individual afternoon tea for all in the party, lovely food,service and ambiance. Lovely guy who owns this place and catered for us with approximately 4 hours notice, thank you Frankie and your team, highly recommended service.

Very tasty food well presented, varied menu. Good portions. Friendly welcoming staff, very helpful. Cosy interior, especially in the colder months when the log fire is burning.

Fabulous decor and atmosphere, attentive staff. Menu fine for lunch but unless you want burger or pie the choice for an evening meal is disappointing. Won't bother again 🙁

After a meal at the neighbouring Ram's Head our group (of 4) called in here for drinks.

Went here for a baby shower. We all paid £16 for afternoon tea including a drink of tea, coffee or prosecco. It was very poor value not worth the money. There was an assortment of sandwiches, chocolate brownie, oat cake and a dry scone with clotted cream and jam. We used the car park first left past the wine bar as there was nowhere to park. It was free for three hours. Wouldn’t recommend afternoon tea very poor value.

Met the bouncer Otman what a pro. He kept the area safe and secure. The atmosphere was buzzing. What a great DJ to keep the rhythm moving all night long. What a great night defo be back. Xx

After a fabulous meal at Mr Chongs, we headed to Frankies for some drinks and dancing;. Great night was had by all.

Me and my fiance stayed here on Friday night as we were at a nearby wedding. The room was fabulous..clean, modern, big and actually cool on what was a boiling night!Bed massive and super comfy..room 4.The wine bar was awesome..cocktails and ginsDisley is lovely. We will return.

This is a local wine bar and has a great atmosphere. The food Is good and large portions. We have had some very enjoyable evenings her.

My rating is based on staying in the rooms attached to the wine bar and not the actual wine bar. We stayed here overnight on the way to a wedding. The wine bar had a great atmosphere and was very busy. We did not eat as they did not serve food after 6.30pm. Unfortunately there is no closing time and staying there was a nightmare, the noise from the bar and pavement drinking area meant that there was no chance of sleeping until after 2.00am. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need but are extremely hot.There is no way you can open the windows as it would make the noise even more unbearable. I feel very sorry for the residents in this street. I would never recommend this place or stay here again.

I liked this place my first few visits, but after hearing staff slag customers off as they left I was less than impressed. The staff tend to drink in there too and sit around a table close to the bar. They regularly slag off locals but are friendly to their face. I witnessed one female staff member chatting to a guy for ages, and after he left said to her friends, "thats the weirdo loser I told you about". Yes she was happy to take tips and drinks from him .

Great selection of drinks including some great largers , both had something from the specials board . Food came reasonablely quick , well presented and good value. Others around were sharing a platter which looked very nice. Modern clean bright and welcoming. Classy establishment and on my doorstep

Good selection of (slightly overpriced) drinks in trendy yet rustic surroundings. Great atmosphere on a weekend night. Mostly 20-25 year olds yet there is a range of all ages. Live music on a Saturday evening, tending mostly to be in the form of an acoustic set or singer. It's not most welcoming environment - plenty of resting b*tch faces and lads in muscle-fit tops - but still a good night out.
