Franco Manca Windsor in Windsor and Maidenhead

Fryer broke down but staff kept us fully informed and apologised for the wait. Eventually it was fixed and all dishes plus extra were served. Every part was very tasty and very hot. Such friendly and delightful staff. Bonus was that they gave us 3 dishes free of charge! Such a lovely gesture and much appreciated. Well done Windsor staff! X

I was served by the lovely Mo who had recommended for us to try the squid which paired beautifully with the tangy dip. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Would definitely come again :)

Sadly in the past 5 orders this year have all been cold or slow or late . Really sad as was a great restaurant for the past 10 years of going very regularly but now won’t be ordering anymore . Low efforts by the staff to rectify the order ! And then promises a refund and never received the monies back

Nice enough food but one served and other over 10 mins later. Wasn't busy so why it couldn't have been timed better and served together, who knows?!

I came here two times during lunch First time, I ordered: Vegan K-dogs ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Edamame with chili and garlic salt ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vegatsu ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service was, for a lack of a better word "weird" and the lady that took our order didn't even take our drink order, she was in such a hurry. Getting the check was a long wait! But the vegan K dogs are delicious and are the only reason I returned two days later. Second time, I ordered: Vegan K-dogs ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Edamame with salt ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yaki soba yasai I mushrooms with udon noodles ⭐⭐ It was more busy this time and the service was again "weird". They brought the first two things (in two trips) to the people next to us... Let it sit there and then the people next to us would finally get their attention and say "we didn't order this" and they would take it from the table do a turn and come back and ask if it was ours... 😳 We also asked the lady that took our order for an extra plate for the kid (he ate what I was eating) that never showed up. I finally got the attention of another waiter that finally brought it. Getting the check/pay took a long time as well. So yeah go there for the vegan K-dogs! But don't expect any good service!

Made us wait for more then 30min without taking order when they had 4 tables in restaurant and when we tried to get the attention we were ignored by lady server at 17.30 on 12/4/24 quit frustrating when with infant

Wagas is usually good food but, if the manager and waiters have a lack of courtesy and smiles the object of the evening meal is killed. Poor service, rude staff and pathetic seating. Not impressed.

Had a quick dinner Saturday evening and had to pay online through their WiFi. I would advise to do not do it. As someone stole my date and made a purchase the following morning!

Bank Holiday Monday in May23. Midday seating. Plenty of space and availability. Service a bit spotty/ hit and miss. They did resolve an issue with one meal. Meals, inc vegan, available and look after allergy matters too. What is the deal with bringing over water in glasses? Surely a jug would save the angst of customers always having to ask and the LOTS of glasses on the table. MarEasterSat 2024...not much has changed! They are helpful still and the water still comes in glasses. Good choices and new food is yum..shame the vegan squid has gone!

All of the staff didn’t bother to acknowledge or even say Hello on arrival. Female server simply chucked the menu on the table and walked off before I even sat down or had a chance to speak to her. Every member of staff looked at me and walked off not can I get you a drink or are you ready to place an order or even a ‘Hello’ or we will be with you just in a moment. Sat in a half empty restaurant and completely ignored. The only way I got any attention was by walking out of the restaurant without ordering anything to hand them the menus back after waiting ages to even get any sort of acknowledgement or communication. Which even then they couldn’t be bothered to take them out of my hands so I just placed it on the welcome desk. Went to another local restaurant selling similar products to Wagamama and the staff were very welcoming and efficient and the food was delicious and spent £50 with them instead. Wagamama can’t say it was down to being busy or lack of staff as half the seats were empty and lots of staff about the place.

Luke warm food. Slow service. 30 mins to wait for your dessert. Really. Not acceptable and nearly £90 for the privilege. I think these places just lack any customer service. Ran and served by people who are just part of the machine. It’s a pity.

Can’t go wrong with a Wagamama, always good food!

Like usually amazing quality of products, delicious food, nice service, restaurants are always nice and clean.

My perception is they favour delivery service vs walk in customers. Slow slow service, staff not communicative and food arrived at different times so we didn’t eat together. Staff definitely need training and have a leader in the restaurant that cares about their customers experience. Didn’t leave a tip as I cannot blame this entirely on Wagamama but also at the individual staff who should show or strive for some level of pride in their job….but yeah, Wagamama HQ….sort this out…it’s embarrassing

This place will never disappoint you

We recently dined here for a Saturday lunch and had a fantastic experience. This has a wide variety of menu options available and spices+hotness factor (which I am fond of) ranging to different palates. However, what truly made our visit memorable was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. We were a group with different diet requirements and the staff members were incredibly helpful, providing recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. The added benefit of eating literally within the doorstep of the Windsor Castle gives an additional royal factor!

My main came out before my partners (approx 10 minutes between). These were then followed by 1 of 3 sides. We requested from 4 different servers (yes, 4) for the other 2 sides, of which after 45 minutes only 1 of the 2 came had come out - it appears they don’t like serving bang bang cauliflower because the last time we came here we had to request that countless times, too. In the end, we gave up asking, asked for the bill which was also a mission, to which we saw they had bang bang cauliflower on the receipt… where was it then? If it’s logged on the system then surely it should have been served?????? At least the food we got was really tasty. This is the 2nd time we have been there, and both of which relatively poor service.

Very disappointed with this well-rated restaurant. Very average hygiene with dirty and sticky menus, a glass of water with food in it, stained and equally sticky decorations, dirty toilets… The food was tasteless for the main course, perhaps because we arrived at 1:30 a.m. before the end of service? The friendliness is strongly to be reviewed in this restaurant, tight smile, minimal politeness, quick order taking after installation… I am nevertheless not surprised that no one came to ask how it was going because the quality of all the services offered was more than average. I will not return to this restaurant.

Really friendly staff and the food was great

Ramen was not as usual, not a lot of taste in the broth. Egg was not even stained. Oyster mushroom starter was dry and powdery taste, with a little tiny bit of “dipping” sauce.. not a lot to dip in. Mixed Mushroom bao was very empty, barely any mayo and no coriander! In the order we asked for extra chilli oil and shichimi chilli powder and only received chilli oil. A lot of money for a quite disappointing meal for us.. Wagamama used to be always tasty but it feels the standards is barely met nowadays. Not first time bad experience. So sad

Awful service, waited half an hour and had to ask for our drinks after being ignored throughout that time. 45 mins wait for food with an apology from the manager but just a rude, poor attitude from our server. Yasai tofu yaki soba had no tofu and the bao buns were not up to usual standards. A small token of free starters for such poor service. Regularly go to wagamama and this was a long way short of what I'd expect.

My noodles were great and the tofu was amazing. Waitress was lovely, and the store had loads of space. Lighting matched the vibe too. Would definitely recommend.

What can I say fabulous pizzas to die for and fabulous efficient courteous service, could not fault them in anyway, a breath of fresh air.

Went this evening for my birthday meal with friends and family. Restaurant was quieter than usual so we assumed it would be quick service. We waited over 25 minutes for our order to be taken and once the food arrived asked for extra drinks which never arrived. After another 15-20 minutes of trying to get the attention of a member of waiting staff my partner went over to the counter and asked if the drinks on the counter were ours. The staff just shrugged there shoulders and so he picked up the receipt that had fallen on the floor and could see that the drinks were indeed for our table. He also asked for a spoon for his hot pot as they had given him chopsticks which made it difficult to eat as it was a soup. The service really has gone down hill since we have last visited. The staff really don’t seem to be interested in the service industry as most look uninterested and are stock around looking at there phones or talking to each other rather than doing there job.

For what used to be such a well run restaurant the service has really slipped. I’ve visited the Wagamamas fairly regularly over the last few years, and it used to have such a charismatic and hardworking team. Unfortunately this is no longer the case, while the food has always been delicious, it’s such a shame to see the standard of service slip. The team working there now all appear to be in need of a good nights sleep, as they seem to wander around the place before congregating at the bar, ignoring or not attending to customers. If you enjoy wagamamas then sure this branch will satisfy that tasty craving. But don’t go while too hungry, as your stomach may rumble over the long wait, and watching the staff stand around disinterested.

I've been visiting here for many years. It's ALWAYS been great, but I'm not sure what happened today. Restaurant 25% full. It took ages for anyone to take an order. I couldn't get the attention of anyone to provide me with a spoon to consume a meal which was essentially a broth.. chop sticks weren't going to do it. On getting up and asking a staff member, I was pointed in the general direction of where they kept them. Getting up from where she was sat on the floor, or for her colleague to stop playing games on his phone was just too much to ask. I collected my own drinks from the bar which had been sat there for a good 20 minutes. Nobody really knew if they were for our table or not - they were just a bit gormless. I figured it out myself by picking up the bits of receipt paper littering the floor to see that it was indeed for us. Even getting the bill was hard work. It was really tempting to just walk out without paying. The zombie like team of employees on shift today would have noticed. On a positive note, the food was excellent as always.

We are visiting from Australia and once we finished at the Castle we stopped off at Franco Marco for lunch. We were given a lovely welcome and attentive service and help as our daughter is allergic to tomato but loves pizza. They helped us with a solution. In addition they were really attentive to our toddler grandaughter . Even when she got overexcited when she saw snow falling(never having experienced it in Australia!) and knocked over her drink. It was cleaned up quickly and a replacement drink provided. The pizza base is really light and the pizzas full of flavor. We would recommend coming here. Fresh quality food and good service

Terrible service. Ordered water 3 times and nothing. Food came and it was delicious as usual. (served 40 mins late. Everyone got served before us despite us ordering first). Food always delicious however the staff are were really slow and not interested in getting things done. Will not be back :(

I ordered the Chilli squid and beef Donburi and the food was good but I wouldn’t recommend the beef Doburi as it is quite dry. However all the staff were really friendly and the service was quick. We had a lovely waiter called Archie and he looked after our table very well and was helpful when explaining the menu and giving us recommendations. His service was a 10/10 - would definitely suggest asking for him to serve your table if you go!

Despite a lacklustre and nonchalant ‘welcome’ from the manager, we still had a lovely time! Had the manager welcomed us properly, this review would have been better! If it wasn’t for Avata (who was not even our server) this review would not be as positive as it is. Was served by a friendly pregnant lady who was efficient and smiley. The whole restaurant lacked direction and one example of this was when there was a queue of people waiting to get in but 2 staff cleaned one table and the manager was nowhere to be seen. A young lady stepped up and sorted the place out, whilst the useless guy stood and did nothing! I asked her name when we left and she told me : AVATA This is the real heart of this restaurant; not the waste of space manager!

I had one of the best experience in town. We just popped in around 2 pm and the restaurant was very busy and we were hopeless but a beautiful girl, Roberta just told us to wait a couple of mins for a table. She recommended us the Christmas Menu but we were fancy of Margherita and pepperoni pizza THE BEST CHOICE EVER. Both of them were juicy and super tasty. I really loved the tiramisu at the end. Roberta offered us two shots of limoncello and we were in paradise she was very kind and smiley all the time even if she was super busy we really appreciated

Boy, the firecracker dish is so tasty but bloody hot, my mouth was on fire, but I left with a nice aftertaste. The thing is it’s fiery but I still go back for more.

Awesome good, I really enjoyed the Cantabrian anchovies on the pizza. The staff were incredibly friendly and generally we had an amazing time.

First time in the UK and we tried this spot out on a whim. No research done. Ordered the paramcotto burrata pizza from our hostess Roberta. It was magical. Sourdough made fresh that day, light and crispy crust, and the cheese was perfect. I loved every bit of it. I asked Roberta to go grab the chef so I could thank him in person. Buddy showed out in the kitchen lol.

We have bene accommodated buy Giuseppe Who was friendly and very welcoming ! We had two pizzas number 5 and 7, both amazing and well prepared . I can tell from the dough was well done. We had a very nice dinner everyone was nice and friendly . We been there to had a bite after Windsor Castle and now we are coming back in Lo don very happy .

I have really fun nights out at Franco with my friends it’s a great family friendly place. Lots of different pizzas to try and really nice cocktails too!

Amazing sourdough pizza and great service. The salami pizza and the platter were very generous. And they came super fast.

The pizza is not bad, but underrisen and undercooked. The dough looks neither like sourdough and neither like Neapolitan pizza dough which is not made out of sourdough even though it is puffy: it had a tight texture and undercooked. So cooking and allowing the dough to rise a bit more would already make a big improvement. The ingredients were good. The staff and atmosphere are nice.

I am a big fan of Wagamama generally but was a bit disappointed by the food quality and lack of atmosphere in this outlet on a Monday early evening. Though the service was quick and friendly as you can expect the Curry was very watery and not creamy at all. The Edamame were just luke warm and not well prepared.

Ordered chilli chicken Ramen. Not great deal of flavours and depth in the broth and I have to say, it was disappointingly bland. Additionally, the toppings were minimal and didn't add much to the overall taste. I had high hopes for this dish, but unfortunately, it fell short in terms of taste, quality and quantity.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wagamama and it was nothing short of amazing. The ambiance was welcoming, and the service was prompt and friendly, making the overall experience delightful. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. I started with the Chicken Caramelized Onions Koyo Bowl, a dish that was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the caramelized onions added a delightful sweetness that complemented the umami flavors of the dish. Next, I tried the Yaki Saba Mushrooms. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, retaining their earthy flavor while absorbing the delicious sauce they were cooked in. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Food was good. Squid starter was hard, chewy and tasteless. The accompanying sauce was not nice. The recipe or supplier has changed or it was overcooked. The restaurant was quite warm. I found it a bit claustrophobic after a while.

Avoid this place on a Saturday night. There were 6 of us and one of us had their dinner brought 40 minutes before everyone else’s, they forgot my dinner completely after waiting 1hr 20minutes. The whole place felt like an unorganised mess. The atmosphere was quite tense as other people were also complaining. What a shame as this is the 1st time I’ve seen it under such terrible management. Usually I love Wagamama but not this evening.

We ordered Katsu Salad, firecracker, Ramen, Gin and coke. The order of food quality was sadly in below given order Diet Coke, Katsu Salad, Gin, Firecracker and Ramen I would have preferred the reverse series from the given above. Food is too bland, even if you ask specifically to make it spicy they will give you what is there, not even a spicy sauce unless you ask seperately again. I won't go ever again.

The food is generally very good. Also with the overall experience. But last time we had to wait for a very very long to get some basic stuff like cutlery, etc. with very less crown in the restaurant. Else I would have given 4 rating.

This place is good here!! Come here if you’re in Windsor. Better than the Wagamama Edinburgh. I dine in at Edinburgh and it was good but the takeaway was disappointing.

I have been to wagamama for the first time yesterday. It was Windsor branch next to train station. Very friendly staff, calm atmosphere and very tasty food. My wife was pleasantly surprised to see that I enjoyed my Japanese dish so much, as usually I am very conservative when it comes to food. I would definitely go there again to try more.

Food tasted good but disappointed with the quantity of chicken in fire cracker. Have been to wagamama numerous times and never felt quantity was less. Did mention it to the staff but she was to casual to respond.

We popped into Franca Manka for lunch and were very happy with the pizza and service. Oscar was a friendly and helpful waiter. If we visit Windsor again, we will definately return.

Literally the worst Pizza I have ever purchased. Tasteless and cold. Beer was nice on the plus side. My wife enjoyed hers- to give some balance. For mine - dough was not cooked through, ingredients were tasteless, pizza was lukewarm. Won’t be back.

Just leaving a review to say that the waiter named Tom is hands down the loveliest waiter I’ve ever had. He’s friendly, attentive and made us feel happy being in his presence. Wagamamas are very lucky to have him working for them.
