They serve amazing sourdough pizza. The quality is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for such delicious food. Highly recommend it for anyone craving great italian pizza!

Food was COLD! Didn’t seem fresh. Not cut, which is weird because that was a specific question.

Yummy and super speedy service! Came here for a quick food stop before movie. I wish they could take extra 5-10mins to serve less soggy crust but the toppings were on point. My salad was tasty but lots and lots of balsamic vinegar 😂

Came in for a coffee and it was a lovely experience. Staff were friendly and helpful and Peter, my server even made a make shift cup holder for my coffee as I found it too hot to drink from the glass. Will be back again soon!

Exceptional pizzeria! As a 1/2 Italian, I know when a top pizza is in front of me. This was the case here. The Pizzaiolo crew has mastered their craft. Today's also came from Italy. From the dough, tomato sauce to the other ingredients: everything is TOP! You can feel that the people working here are having a good time, good vibes! The interior is a chapter in itself! Every detail is perfect, hats off! 😀👌👌👌 Clearly: you shouldn't miss it.

Great place for lunch. Authentic flavorful pizzas, slightly burnt and crispy will be perfect. Fresh salads complement the pizzas.

Went here for lunch while visiting Southampton. Food was great, nice open kitchen. Regarding the person who was managing the shift in chinos and a shirt tall with black hair. He just spoke to much, I’m trying to eat my food and enjoy my afternoon out with my partner. Secondly he went out to smoke, he then came straight back in and without washing his hands took someone’s pizza to their table. Just this is making me wonder if I would ever return, awful hygiene from what looked like someone in charge.

We dropped in for lunch this week, they couldn't have been more warm and welcoming. Special shout to Pete who was lovely and made sure everything was great. The food was delicious too. A great place for lunch.

Pizzas are pretty authentic, and tasty, the tomato sauce was quite thin though, and lacked cheese.

I've developed a bit of a routine of nipping to Waterstones and then here for a drink or a bite. This to say, I've sampled a bit of everything and have always been really happy with the menu, service, and atmosphere here 😊 the team are all so friendly, welcoming, and make coming here really comfortable. I'd encourage everyone to enjoy a new book with a slice of their pizza 🫶🏼

Don't bother booking.... We booked for 8 at 7.45pm midweek and arrived 10 min late. They only prepared a table when we arrived and stuff it in a tight spot... The place is pretty small, tables are tiny and all feels cramped! Realistically you need a table for 4 to sit 2 people (and their orders) comfortably.

I have very mixed feelings about my experience here. Firstly it was a Saturday evening and the staff were very busy but managed to get us a table within 5 minutes. They did well to serve us pretty quickly. My reasons for the low star rating are that the side salads are pretty expensive costing the same as a pizza. Considering we ordered two pizzas and one salad £35 including a 10% tip could be considered a lot. The second thing is my pizza had pieces of chorizo on it and whilst it was delicious the chorizo was stingy and there was on average 1.5 pieces per slice. I do prefer the pizza and the atmosphere was lovely but at this price point Pizza Hut becomes a slightly cheaper rival. We also found the specials board a bit confusing.

Good pizza , good puds. Service just seemed a bit off. I felt like we weren't really wanted (maybe a bad day) . All their drinks come in small water glasses (inc wine)

Reserved a table to celebrate my birthday. Ended up walking out after giving the drinks order. Some real training needed to improve customer service. Cannot rate food as we left before eating or drinking.

Used to be a fan but the quality has gone down the pan. Ordered a collection, lady on the phone booked me a collection slot for 7. I got there at 7 and was told 5 mins. After standing outside in the cold for 20 mins I saw the lady pick up my pizzas off a table (not under a lamp) that I saw there 15 mins before. Cold pizzas, cold me and it was all pointless because they were just sat on a table getting cold for no reason. Wouldn’t bother going again £43 for 3 cold pizzas and stood around in the cold for 20 mins. 👎🏻 Edit: Took them 4 months to reply to this review. Useless.

Food was good, but some of the staff were moody and just seemed to not want to be there. Actually overheard one staff member saying just that. Disappointing.

What a fantastic and lovely team running this joint. They catered to us even though it was closing time and the food was absolutely brilliant. The manager Zoltan if I remember his name correctly was so helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and I will definitely be back again. It was our work dinner and another restaurant completely let us down so we had walk out after 1.5 hours time wasted so we just walked in Franco Manca and even though we were told they were about to close, when I explained what happened to us with the other restaurant they welcomed us and served us top quality pizzas. A big thank you from Auntieannes Pretzels staff to Zoltan and the team. Legends 🙏

Pizza was lovely, I would like to say the garlic bread nice too but it never arrived, only ordered 4 things and one was forgotten, wasn't asked for allergies, wasn't asked how the food was, wasn't asked if we would like another drink after we all have empty glasses. Wasn't greeted, no forks on the table and it would have been understandable if there wasn't literally 4 customers in total. Server clinged to the saying ignorance is bliss for sure. Definitely somewhere to go if you're an introvert and want to be ignored.

the price of the food and drinks are amazing especially if you’re a student . I had amazing food but horrible service . as a waitress myself it’s probably why I noticed and I’m more upset by it, but I overheard other orders from other staff and people were following a better ethos but anyway I sat down and the waitress took my order I mentioned an allergy and after that discussion she left half way through me ordering. My drink was placed on the table without being announced placed on the edge and then I tried to order another but nobody came which is a shame as it was such a nice drink . My food was placed I said thank you and I wasn’t acknowledged or asked if I wanted anything else this is disappointing I hadn’t been here before and the menue looked lovely, I will say I wish a pizza cutter came with the food but other than the service OR mention about the allergy I had when the food was placed it was an ok experience at franco manca and I eventually got a check back from who I assume was a a manger And I managed to get the service removed ,

First visit and we were blown away by the pizza (dough is spot on - perfect topping to crust ration) and the app plate … Made even better by Beth’s service and smile. We have three weeks vacation in the UK. We will be back!

Very peaceful, very fast service and good food!

The pizza has no flavor and i have to order extra garlic dip for the pizza to have flavor. Service is just oke they made mistakes with my order and they just swap it and not apologize.

What a great authentic Italian pizza and great wind just like being back home in Sicily, great service by all from when we arrived in to when we left what more could you ask for. You must come to Franco Manco and enjoy the experience can't wait to come back.

What a shame that things change and so fast! This place used to be good, have very good pizza, service and ambience! Just been there after a long day, 8 degrees C outside, the place was freezing inside and they insisted in keeping the door open. I asked for the door to be closed and they replied, the wood oven needed oxygen? For sure you need oxygen for a fire but there was plenty in there, was so cold, we were the last clients nobody else in there, freezing cold not sure why they couldn’t keep the fire up without the door opened! I come from Naples where pizza was invented and trust me never heard of this crazyness, let the door open because the fire needs more oxygen! Neither in winter neither in summer! On top of that the service was terrible, beers were carried by hands not on a tray. And the pizza is not the same anymore! Shame as I loved it! Well time passes but last time was only nov 2023

I rarely write reviews but with the service we received today I felt I had too! The food was incredible (as always) really nice atmosphere and all the staff are incredibly helpful! It was very busy however they managed to find us a table and keep our family warm inside! Your team are amazing and an absolute credit to your company! Can’t wait to come back…. Again!

Tonight I had dinner at Franco Manca and I was deeply impressed by both the pizza (finally after months I ate a real Italian pizza) with top quality certified Italian ingredients, not to mention the burrata and buffalo mozzarella (both excellent). Everything is truly exceptional, the service is nothing short of impeccable, very friendly and always available to the customer for every need. I recommend you go and try both the pizza and the appetizer because you won't regret it. Flavors of home 🇮🇹

The customer service is appalling. We booked for 7:45 and we arrived on time only to be told we had to wait another 10 minutes for our table whilst people who hadn’t booked were allowed a table before us. Fast forward 40 minutes we are still sat outside waiting for our reserved table with zero update or notice we were able to move inside. Very very poor

Even though we came last time of the day (by 21:30) Beth gave us a very good welcoming, energetic, friendly with a big smile like she just started her shift. We ordered and we both Thot it would take a lot but surprisingly the food was on the table In 10 minutes. We ordered 2 pizzas both very tasty. The manager (Brazilian guy sorry don't remember your name) was super friendly as well. I think he ended up adding one tiramisu on the house. Thank you guys! We will come back for sure 😁

Even though we came late (by 9:30) Beth received us with a lovely smile very energetic and friendly like she just had started her shift after a few suggestions from her we ordered. surprisingly the 2 pizzas were on the table not more than 10 min (super fast). The pizzas were gorgeous, very tasty. The manager (Brazilian guy, sorry don't remember his name)had time to talk to us a bout the restaurant, the food..very lovely guy. I think he one tiramisu was on the house in the end. Thank you very much! We'll come back for sure

Ordered the veg 210 pizza for delivery. If I could give it 0 stars I would. It was STONE COLD and not sliced despite asking them. All the ingredients were uncooked yet the base was burnt and thinner than a piece of paper. Once I heated and sliced it the edges nearly cut my fingers. When I complained and asked for a refund was offers less than £5 on £18 order. Never ever ordering from them again. Avoid like the plague!!

Went with daughter yesterday. Lovely staff and lovely pizzas but....pizzas are larger than the plate and not easy to cut with steak knives on a smaller plate....should be served with a pizza cutter as it was a struggle and a chore to get through the base. Spoilt our experience...sorry

We love eating at Franco Manca as the atmosphere is great and so is the pizza's and especially Beth who does great customer service and has great ambition and she will go far it won't be long before she is managing Franco Manco

This was our third time eating here and we absolutely love it! The food is great and the atmosphere is inviting. The staff are kind and attentive, especially our lovely waitress Beth who offered my partner a free drink and dessert for his birthday. So sweet of her! All in all, would highly recommend. 😊

Fabulous, authentic pizzas. My gluten free pizza base was the best I have ever tasted, it was such a treat for me (No.5 topping yum). We were served by Beth who was friendly, fast and efficient. We’ll definitely be back.

Always absolutely excellent food here. Agree with other comments around service; when it’s quieter the staff are absolutely amazing, but when it’s busy they are clearly stretched thin which isn’t fair on them. Nevertheless will always come back.

We really enjoyed our food. The waitress name Beth was very friendly and helpful- greeted us, was very polite and helped with the menu , the food was amazing- most probably the best pizza in town, prices reasonable. The only thing did not like much that service fee was included in the bill without even asking ... we paid the bill, however if you not happy with the service, food etc, I am sure you can dispute it. Overall experience great! Highly recommend 👌

I think it's something to do with Southampton, but I couldn't eat anything delicious during my 4-day trip. This is an ordinary pizzeria, and I gave it 3 stars just to avoid shame.

Usually it's a 4 stars place but it was a while I didn't go and the last time it was underwhelming. The sourdough pizza is not simple to manage and gets chewy very quickly especially if served cold. Ingredients are always good.

Food is always exceptional, and the service is brilliant!!!

I booked a table for 2 for last Friday a few days ahead. We were seated at a table for 4 people. Pizza and drinks were really tasty. After a while, despite the fact that other tables were free, one table was moved 15 cm away from our table and another couple was seated there. I literally heard everything they talked about. The waiter tried to take away my pizza plate while I still had some pizza on it. At the end, he suggested that we order something else ( he wanted us to either order something else even though we did not finish our drinks or leave, even though we had only been there for only 40 minutes). Service fee in this case is a joke...

Great service and food! For the price paid and the location, the experience was great. Only downside would probably be the entrance door, had to be kept open and very cold air was coming in, not good when there are babies and children inside.

The waitress was very friendly and the music wasn't too loud so talking to my guest was easy as I require hearing assistance. The pizzas were awesome and a special mention about the gluten free base which was out of this world. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful eating experience 💗

Really nice oven made pizzas with a variety of toppings choices. You have to try the homemade lemonade to wash it down and maybe a tiramisu for afters. Fantasic!!

I was able to pre-order our food which really helped as our time was limited. When we arrived our tables were ready and drinks already waiting. The food started coming out shortly thereafter. The pizzas were all delicious and we had not one problem even with such a large order. Special mention to Jason who mainly served us but the entire team was great and friendly.

The vegan pizza was very good, the dough was a bit hard to cut, not sure the knife was not sharp enough or the dough was a bit hard to cut, but the taste was good. Very good price also. Verybfancy bottle for the limonade a good point also.

Myself and my boyfriend have been going to Franco Manca Southampton for the past 2 years and it never disappoints. We're Italian so we're very picky when it comes to pizza, and we love Franco Manca! We like how the menu changes frequently and we always try their new pizzas. The ingredients are delicious, the staff is welcoming, and the pizzas are ready in minutes after the order is taken. We also use the Franco Manca app and have had a couple of free pizzas thanks to it! Overall, great place and would definitely recommend.

The only place in Southampton that you will taste authentic Neapolitan pizza. Don’t waste your time with any other place selling pizza. This is the closest I have come to finding pizza that I eat in Naples. Only wish they had one in Winchester.

I loved the pizza it was the perfect mix of toppings and the ricotta worked so well. The service was amazing, and such a friendly team, will definitely be coming back.

Easily the worst pizza i’ve ever seen / tasted, had to collect after 3 hrs awaiting delivery, convinced the somehow burn’t & stone cold pizzas were the same as had been cooked hours earlier, looked as though they been kicked around the room and scraped off the floor into their boxes with a tennis racket, pizza itself was a thin as a rolling paper with little to no sauce or cheese, i honestly believe the box itself would have been a better tasting, more nutritious meal. Avoid at all costs, i’ve had pizzas make me ill in the past that i’d sooner eat a second time before eating from Skanko Manko again, absolutely disgusting in both appearance and taste.

Went to franco manca on Friday for my birthday. Had starters and mains. Was seated quickly and sorted with drinks straight away despite how busy it was. Place was poppin! Julia was the woman who served me. Very nice lady. No messing about, she was there every time we was ready for an order. Pizza was phenominal. The pizza is great value for money for what you get. Everything is freshly made. Naturally fermented dough. I will choose franco manca over pizza hut/dominos/papa John's any day. Plus its organic. I can't praise franco manca enough for the amazing pizza they serve. Easily the best pizza in town. EASY! properly done.

Overall very good and fast service. Outdoor seating nice. Reliable. Asked for Blood Orange San Pellegrino and got ordinary orange and asked for Coke zero and got diet, would have been nice to ask if substitutions were ok with us first.

My favourite place to eat in Southampton, I come roughly once every 1/2 weeks. The customer service is top quality, always making us feel welcome and valued.

As a frequent returner to this restraint you really feel fulfilled every time. The aura within this restraunt is top tier, making you want to return instantly. I love it so much and would highly recommend.
