Even though we came last time of the day (by 21:30) Beth gave us a very good welcoming, energetic, friendly with a big smile like she just started her shift. We ordered and we both Thot it would take a lot but surprisingly the food was on the table In 10 minutes. We ordered 2 pizzas both very tasty. The manager (Brazilian guy sorry don't remember your name) was super friendly as well. I think he ended up adding one tiramisu on the house. Thank you guys! We will come back for sure 😁

The customer service is appalling. We booked for 7:45 and we arrived on time only to be told we had to wait another 10 minutes for our table whilst people who hadn’t booked were allowed a table before us. Fast forward 40 minutes we are still sat outside waiting for our reserved table with zero update or notice we were able to move inside. Very very poor

Went with daughter yesterday. Lovely staff and lovely pizzas but....pizzas are larger than the plate and not easy to cut with steak knives on a smaller plate....should be served with a pizza cutter as it was a struggle and a chore to get through the base. Spoilt our experience...sorry

We love eating at Franco Manca as the atmosphere is great and so is the pizza's and especially Beth who does great customer service and has great ambition and she will go far it won't be long before she is managing Franco Manco

This was our third time eating here and we absolutely love it! The food is great and the atmosphere is inviting. The staff are kind and attentive, especially our lovely waitress Beth who offered my partner a free drink and dessert for his birthday. So sweet of her! All in all, would highly recommend. 😊

Fabulous, authentic pizzas. My gluten free pizza base was the best I have ever tasted, it was such a treat for me (No.5 topping yum). We were served by Beth who was friendly, fast and efficient. We’ll definitely be back.

Always absolutely excellent food here. Agree with other comments around service; when it’s quieter the staff are absolutely amazing, but when it’s busy they are clearly stretched thin which isn’t fair on them. Nevertheless will always come back.

We really enjoyed our food. The waitress name Beth was very friendly and helpful- greeted us, was very polite and helped with the menu , the food was amazing- most probably the best pizza in town, prices reasonable. The only thing did not like much that service fee was included in the bill without even asking ... we paid the bill, however if you not happy with the service, food etc, I am sure you can dispute it. Overall experience great! Highly recommend 👌

I think it's something to do with Southampton, but I couldn't eat anything delicious during my 4-day trip. This is an ordinary pizzeria, and I gave it 3 stars just to avoid shame.

Usually it's a 4 stars place but it was a while I didn't go and the last time it was underwhelming. The sourdough pizza is not simple to manage and gets chewy very quickly especially if served cold. Ingredients are always good.

I booked a table for 2 for last Friday a few days ahead. We were seated at a table for 4 people. Pizza and drinks were really tasty. After a while, despite the fact that other tables were free, one table was moved 15 cm away from our table and another couple was seated there. I literally heard everything they talked about. The waiter tried to take away my pizza plate while I still had some pizza on it. At the end, he suggested that we order something else ( he wanted us to either order something else even though we did not finish our drinks or leave, even though we had only been there for only 40 minutes). Service fee in this case is a joke...

Great service and food! For the price paid and the location, the experience was great. Only downside would probably be the entrance door, had to be kept open and very cold air was coming in, not good when there are babies and children inside.

Used to be a fan but the quality has gone down the pan. Ordered a collection, lady on the phone booked me a collection slot for 7. I got there at 7 and was told 5 mins. After standing outside in the cold for 20 mins I saw the lady pick up my pizzas off a table (not under a lamp) that I saw there 15 mins before. Cold pizzas, cold me and it was all pointless because they were just sat on a table getting cold for no reason. Wouldn’t bother going again £43 for 3 cold pizzas and stood around in the cold for 20 mins. 👎🏻

The waitress was very friendly and the music wasn't too loud so talking to my guest was easy as I require hearing assistance. The pizzas were awesome and a special mention about the gluten free base which was out of this world. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful eating experience 💗

Really nice oven made pizzas with a variety of toppings choices. You have to try the homemade lemonade to wash it down and maybe a tiramisu for afters. Fantasic!!

Great choice of GF options (albeit with additional cost), and very tasty pizza, and dessert was gorgeous, all relatively priced too!!!

The vegan pizza was very good, the dough was a bit hard to cut, not sure the knife was not sharp enough or the dough was a bit hard to cut, but the taste was good. Very good price also. Verybfancy bottle for the limonade a good point also.

Myself and my boyfriend have been going to Franco Manca Southampton for the past 2 years and it never disappoints. We're Italian so we're very picky when it comes to pizza, and we love Franco Manca! We like how the menu changes frequently and we always try their new pizzas. The ingredients are delicious, the staff is welcoming, and the pizzas are ready in minutes after the order is taken. We also use the Franco Manca app and have had a couple of free pizzas thanks to it! Overall, great place and would definitely recommend.

The only place in Southampton that you will taste authentic Neapolitan pizza. Don’t waste your time with any other place selling pizza. This is the closest I have come to finding pizza that I eat in Naples. Only wish they had one in Winchester.

I loved the pizza it was the perfect mix of toppings and the ricotta worked so well. The service was amazing, and such a friendly team, will definitely be coming back.

Easily the worst pizza i’ve ever seen / tasted, had to collect after 3 hrs awaiting delivery, convinced the somehow burn’t & stone cold pizzas were the same as had been cooked hours earlier, looked as though they been kicked around the room and scraped off the floor into their boxes with a tennis racket, pizza itself was a thin as a rolling paper with little to no sauce or cheese, i honestly believe the box itself would have been a better tasting, more nutritious meal. Avoid at all costs, i’ve had pizzas make me ill in the past that i’d sooner eat a second time before eating from Skanko Manko again, absolutely disgusting in both appearance and taste.

Went to franco manca on Friday for my birthday. Had starters and mains. Was seated quickly and sorted with drinks straight away despite how busy it was. Place was poppin! Julia was the woman who served me. Very nice lady. No messing about, she was there every time we was ready for an order. Pizza was phenominal. The pizza is great value for money for what you get. Everything is freshly made. Naturally fermented dough. I will choose franco manca over pizza hut/dominos/papa John's any day. Plus its organic. I can't praise franco manca enough for the amazing pizza they serve. Easily the best pizza in town. EASY! properly done.

Overall very good and fast service. Outdoor seating nice. Reliable. Asked for Blood Orange San Pellegrino and got ordinary orange and asked for Coke zero and got diet, would have been nice to ask if substitutions were ok with us first.

As a frequent returner to this restraint you really feel fulfilled every time. The aura within this restraunt is top tier, making you want to return instantly. I love it so much and would highly recommend.

Pizza made the Neapolitan style with high quality ingredients. However, the dough is always a bit chewy. Our pizza got to the table not warm enough, maybe they should improve the table service (and be more friendly!).

I had an incredible experience at Franco Manca last Sunday evening! Their authentic sourdough pizza was a delightful surprise, and the garlic dip from Asia’s recommendation was hands down the best I've ever tasted. The service was warm and inviting, making me feel very special. Highly recommend!

i never write reviews but ive literally never had a worse time at a restaurant. i visited on the 25th of september. my siblings food had a hair in it and was reluctantly taken away to be remade with hardly an apology. it took ages and people who ordered after this got their pizzas a long time before she got hers. when it finally came out, it was taken away from her without asking before she had finished eating. they offered a free dessert and then said most of the dessert items are unavailiable. in the end they had taken the pizza off and a bit extra off the total but had the nerve to ask if we want to include the service charge. the waitresses were rude before the initial hair was found and only got worse as the evening went on. we were all genuinely shocked. i had an awful time. im glad im not a local so i dont have to avoid this location of franco manca.

The reason for the 1 star has nothing to do with the food - which is fantastic or the location or the waitress that attended us. If you want an affordable sourdough pizza Franco Manca is the place. The service is fast, the food is fresh and delicious. However, the fact that a 10% "optional " service charge is added automatically in the bill is disgraceful. There's nothing optional about it when it's added automatically into the bill. You are then put in the uncomfortable situation of telling the person that has served you that you don't want to tip them and to print a new receipt - for whatever reason. Also how do I know this goes to the waiter? It's uncomfortable for both parties and shameful way to squeeze money out of the client. For that reason alone I would not recommend going.

Don't even have wine glasses, not a good shop, I'm disappointed. The waiter didn't know what a Buffalo Mozzarella Pizza was either.

Never tried Franco Marca before, but would definitely come back and recommend it if you are a pizza connoisseur. Poor called up to tell them that the pizza was just so salty the anvocies and capers, I expected salt but not of this calibre! She just said speak to Uber as there's nothing she can do, Pizza also soggy and so thin on arrival won't order from this place again 😕

So loud!! The sound of cutlery being washed, if there was music you couldn't hear it. Service was mediocre not what I'd expect. Food was quick almost too quick. Cheese was lacking on both pizzas sadly, but I guess you get what you pay for..

Went with my partner with an hour before the restaurant closed, the whole experience felt very rushed got told to choose any table and sit down. Less than 5 minutes later without having proper time to read the menu we were rushed for our food order, the food was very good which is about the only positive about this review. Whilst clearly still eating we got asked if we were done and if we wanted to box the rest up. All in all very unimpressed by the service received.

Our friends recommended to go out for dinner to Franco Manca. I was pleasantly impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the dough was super soft, the staff were very friendly and chatty. I really wish I could echo the positive reviews of other guests. Honestly, 5 star for the food, portion size, flavour, choice and the venue setting. Not good impression of the staff who did not seem to like the amount of customers they had. We tried to catch their eyes many times so we could order but seemed impossible. So surprising really as they have chosen to be in the service industry! We eventually had to go and ask for our order to be taken (turned out that was the manager)as they hadn’t checked on us in around 30 minutes. I do not often leave negative reviews as I do try to see positives or put it down to the busyness of the restaurant. The food came out in a flash! My friend was a member of staff at a different restaurant and got discount, they weren’t even nice to her! Annoyingly I would go back as the food was so so good but really hope the service is different next time! Up your game guys it’s really not hard to crack a smile even when it is busy :)

Great pizza for an equally great price. We went for the ham and mushroom, and the chorizo. The pizzas are fresh out the oven, with a perfect base and flavourful tomato sauce. Toppings look sparse at first but they're just the right amount. The homemade lemonade is a must, though it's a little in the pricier side, but is worth a try. The tiramisu was good too, perhaps a little soft/wet for tiramisu but tasty nonetheless.

As an italian, I can say that at Franco Manca you will eat a proper pizza. At Franco's you will find good quality ingredients of the Italian culinary tradition. The dough of the pizza is amazing, no comparison with the garbage Domino's, Pizza Hut and Papa John's sell. Highly recommended.

My apologies to Martina for that!☺️ We love the neopolitan sourdough pizza and they have an amazing choice of toppings if you want to ‘change it up’! The staff are very friendly and if you are not happy with anything they will always put it right (not that we have EVER been unhappy!). Our favourite place to eat in Southampton!
