Can't rate this place high enough, especially the fab food (good vegan pizza), drinks (negroni was delicious) but outstanding service from Teresa our Portuguese server, who was attentive and fun. Would highly recommend for her alone but the pizzas are fresh and the sourdough amazing.

Traveling a lot I like to try the Italian pizzerias around the world to check out the quality of the dough and ingredients. This one made it to the top 3 outside Italy. The staff is friendly and has no signs of stress nor bad mood. In the pizza menu definitely a must try is #9 and the traditional #2. I felt like being at home in Italy once I stepped in. To be clear, real Italy, not like the one in the movies or romance stories… Easy, genuine and simple.

I had a solo lunch choosing this restaurant as I had visited their Chichester branch and loved the taste of their sourdough organic pizza. I was made to feel very welcome and wasn't rushed at all. The service was excellent. I chose the veggie special pizza which was very tasty. The homemade lemonade was refreshing. I finished with an refreshing afagata nicely served separately so I could mix it myself.

Lovely place to eat. We visited Saturday mid-afternoon, sat outside with the view of the Bargate walls, while having what was probably the nicest pizza I've ever had. The No Logo Larger is really tasty too. Will be back very soon!

1st time at Franco Manca for us, with my partner, on Saturday evening with no reservation, we were sat quickly and served even more. All the staff very friendly and chatty, Alexandra our waitress very kind and attentive. Pizza really good and authentic, my partner loved nr. 7, best spicy pizza!

Incredible Napoli style pizza with a chewy base and a selection of amazing sauces such as pesto, caccio e peppe, garlic and great Prosecco. Work highly recommend due to the lovely local atmosphere that feels like a homely evening. Very cosy restaurant and great service. Grazie Mille.

My parents visited from Belgium for Easter and we were looking for a cute,quiet and kid-friendly place to have a pizza and a drink. The best decision to go here as the pizza was amazing, very quick service from Andreea and Alexandra, they both got involved into playing with my 4yo son. Teresa was very professional and made us feel very welcomed. The chef made the best pizza.

We had lunch today at Franco Manca in Southampton and I have to say I had the best Tiramisú in a while. The service was very quick, Andreea was very approachable and helpful when it came to order my pizza. I will definitely go again on my next visit

Delicious pizza by a great chef. Quick and efficient service by Teresa. Variety of drinks and many toppings to choose from for your pizzas. Nice and quiet place perfect for a quick lunch or a special dinner. Their tiramisu is a must try.

I have been going to this Franco Manca for a few years now, lovely food always. And the people working there are always so nice! For Easter I went with my Dad and we met Andrea who works there, super smiley and positive energy! Totally suggest it :)

We dinner yesterday night there and was amazing the service Miss Tereza is lovely we are in a big group and was everything perfect the food was served in the same time for all us.

It's such a shame I have had to write this but the experience I had was just horrible. I will start by saying the pizza as per usual was excellent. But the service was horrific. I go to this restaurant maybe once a fortnight with my parter as we love it so much. We know most of the staff. But tonight has me wondering if I want to even go back. First of all, I get a deal with a pizza and specific wine. To avoid any confusion, I show the waiter the name and tell them I want the one in the deal. They say okay and it comes. I have never done this deal before and don't think anything of it. When we get the bill, the deal doesn't work, and we are told we ordered the wrong wine. After some attitude, and my friend also saying how we had specifically wanted the one in the deal and didn't know we had been given the wrong one, the bill was corrected. I tapped my card and paid. I don't ever get a receipt and we left and it was fine..but when we got outside and checked my bank I saw I had been overcharged by nearly double what it should have been. I remain polite and ask for the difference to be refunded but I get more attitude. It feels like the staff think it is my fault. I understand mistakes happen but after everything that happened, to have a staff turn to me and say 'this is all we can do' and hand me a note was just rude. Not once did they apologise for the inconvenience. Normally the service is lovely here and it is why I always go back so often but after this, I am shocked. I have never experienced anything like that at this restaurant and I would rather go somewhere else that doesn't treat me in such a rude manner.

Great food and fantastic atmosphere! I would give six stars if I could. Manager Martina and chef Emanuele along with their team run this very friendly restaurant in the city centre. The location couldn’t be more convenient, close to a vast choice of shops and bars in the city’s main shopping mall. Make sure you pay a visit if you’re in town and don’t forget to book if you’re a large party, the place gets booked up pretty quickly!

We arrived at 20:40 and were seated, and our order taken. A member of staff then came over and asked us if we would just be having the nibbles and pizza, as they close at 21:00 - this immediately made us feel like we needed to eat quickly and leave. Shorty after, a second member of staff came over and asked if we would be wanting coffee afterwards - presumably they wanted to clean the coffee machine - again, making us feel like they just wanted to get rid of us. I had chosen the cured beef pizza, which was rather a disappointment - nice enough in itself I guess, but it didn’t say on the menu that it was a tomato free pizza, and it arrived as a pizza base with sliced beef and cheese scattered on top - did not satisfy my urge for tomatoey melty cheese yumminess that I expected from a pizza. Also could not taste any “lemon dressing”. Whilst eating we had TWO visits from staff, asking if everything was alright - I appreciate the attention, but by now I’m just feeling hassled and I’m not enjoying my dining experience at all. Definitely wouldn’t go back.

Terrible service! Super rude. We went for a cappuccino and tiramisu on Saturday (05.04) around 3 PM. The coffee was awful, and the tiramisu was obviously defrosted—not fresh at all. The waitress almost dropped the cups on the table and spilled them. We decided to just leave, but she was incredibly rude and didn’t care at all that we left without touching anything. We asked for the manager and she said we don’t have to pay which was good. If you are looking for a good service, definitely avoid this place.

Food was really good and service by Andrea, Alexandra and Maria was excellent. When we visit Southampton again we will definitely come back!

We had the smoked beef pizza and black truffle burrata pizza 🍕—both were insanely good. No regrets, just pure pizza happiness! And wow...one bite and you just get that real Neapolitan pizza vibe 🇮🇹. The truffle burrata pizza has a rich truffle aroma and a creamy, milky burrata flavor. The Italian smoked beef pizza has a generous amount of beef, delivering a rich, savory flavor, but the rocket leaves add a refreshing balance. The sourdough base is something else—chewy, crispy on the outside, soft inside. So different from regular pizza, and honestly? I’m obsessed. The homemade orange juice is refreshingly sweet and tangy. The restaurant has a great atmosphere—cozy and comforting, and the service is really nice too. Definitely coming back!

I was here tonight with my family, I can say that other times when I was here I didn't find the service and food so pleasant, but tonight a girl, a waitress, Andreea took care of our table, she took our order, she was very friendly, kind, had a good vibe and a good mood, her recommendations regarding food and drinks did not fail! Thank you, Andreea! We’ll definitely come back again soon!

One of our party entered & sat down whilst she waited for me to arrive, sat on her own for 15min without anyone even offering a drink b4 second party member arrived. Server then came over we ordered & food was very fast indeed that fast it was cold & soggy with 1 being sent back. There was only 1 other couple inside so wasn't busy, this was my first & last time of eating here unfortunately

I've developed a bit of a routine of nipping to Waterstones and then here for a drink or a bite. This to say, I've sampled a bit of everything and have always been really happy with the menu, service, and atmosphere here 😊 Pete is a superstar and always makes time for a chat - the whole team are all so friendly, welcoming, and make coming here really comfortable. I'd encourage everyone to enjoy a new book with a slice of their pizza 🫶🏼

My favourite pizza chain delivers consistently good service and food across all the various locations I've tried in England and the Southampton branch did not disappoint. Nice bonus for this location is the view on the old city walls. Furthermore, it was my first time trying the pistachio Nutella pizza and it was so indulgent! There was a little error on our final bill but luckily I always double check and the staff amended it very quickly. Recommended!

Me and my friends ran into a situation and I ran into this place on short notice. They were absolutely welcoming and understanding and helped me. First visit to FM Southampton today. The space was very small, and initially we got a table in the middle, very close to another couple, which felt like we were sitting together. However when I requested another table, Martina, our waitress different table in the corner. The restaurant was very busy and we did not have many opportunities to interact, however she still made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Thank you, Martina, amazing service 💜🙏

We went to the Southampton Franco Manco with my husband. The staff are lovely, they welcomed us at the door, and served us promptly with a friendly attitude. I had the pizza with anchovies and my husband had the ham pizza, they were both delicious, in fact I would say it’s one of the best pizza’s I have had and my husband agreed with me. The chef was cheerful and was happy to make a small amendment to one of the pizzas. We are going to make it a regular thing now as it was well worth the visit to town.

I recently stopped for dinner at Franco Manca Southampton while they were running their incredible £5 pizza offer in January. The restaurant was packed and fully booked inside, but although it was January, we opted to sit outside under the heaters which was surprisingly warm. The food was excellent as always, with everything fresh and full of flavour. I love their vegetarian sharing board to start, which has so many delicious elements. For my main course, I chose the Italian smoked beef and mozzarella pizza, which was absolutely incredible. The service was friendly and attentive, and with the deal, the value was astounding. Franco Manca is my favourite chain, as they seem to genuinely care about flavour and good food compared to others.

Pizza was lovely. A very busy place so you did have to wait for service, however more staff came in later and it improved. It's a small place, a little cramped as they make the most of the space, but not a problem Would definitely return.

Terrible service, had to go up and get the dips we had ordered that had been forgotten after trying to flag down a server for 10 mins. While our table was being cleared, we started to tell the server that we wanted dessert. Server left our table, as I was mid sentence and left the table half cleared for 25 minutes before we finally flagged someone down to get the bill. By that time our appetite had soured completely. We were also automatically charged 10% "optional service charge" for their terrible service. While exiting the bathroom I saw the chef ringing the bell for service while the server just ignored the call. Needs more wait staff and for them to pay more attention.

I ordered the chorizo pizza and it was ok. The Resturant is in a good location and has nice atmosphere the staff are very nice and polite. This is not the first time I’ve been there and I have tried different pizzas in the past and recommend them all. I have also tried the tiramisu in the past and it was tasty.

Met with an absolutely fantastic waiter today who quickly seated and served us, full of knowledge about the drinks. Food was absolutely delicious and for the total bill of £40 for two alcoholic drinks and 2 pizzas I cannot complain. I am unsure of the waiters name but it was at 3:30 on Tuesday the 26th November. Franco Manca he is an absolute tribute to your company.

Yummy and super speedy service! Came here for a quick food stop before movie. I wish they could take extra 5-10mins to serve less soggy crust but the toppings were on point. My salad was tasty but lots and lots of balsamic vinegar 😂

Came in for a coffee and it was a lovely experience. Staff were friendly and helpful and Peter, my server even made a make shift cup holder for my coffee as I found it too hot to drink from the glass. Will be back again soon!

Exceptional pizzeria! As a 1/2 Italian, I know when a top pizza is in front of me. This was the case here. The Pizzaiolo crew has mastered their craft. Today's also came from Italy. From the dough, tomato sauce to the other ingredients: everything is TOP! You can feel that the people working here are having a good time, good vibes! The interior is a chapter in itself! Every detail is perfect, hats off! 😀👌👌👌 Clearly: you shouldn't miss it.

Went here for lunch while visiting Southampton. Food was great, nice open kitchen. Regarding the person who was managing the shift in chinos and a shirt tall with black hair. He just spoke to much, I’m trying to eat my food and enjoy my afternoon out with my partner. Secondly he went out to smoke, he then came straight back in and without washing his hands took someone’s pizza to their table. Just this is making me wonder if I would ever return, awful hygiene from what looked like someone in charge.

We dropped in for lunch this week, they couldn't have been more warm and welcoming. Special shout to Pete who was lovely and made sure everything was great. The food was delicious too. A great place for lunch.

Don't bother booking.... We booked for 8 at 7.45pm midweek and arrived 10 min late. They only prepared a table when we arrived and stuff it in a tight spot... The place is pretty small, tables are tiny and all feels cramped! Realistically you need a table for 4 to sit 2 people (and their orders) comfortably.

I have very mixed feelings about my experience here. Firstly it was a Saturday evening and the staff were very busy but managed to get us a table within 5 minutes. They did well to serve us pretty quickly. My reasons for the low star rating are that the side salads are pretty expensive costing the same as a pizza. Considering we ordered two pizzas and one salad £35 including a 10% tip could be considered a lot. The second thing is my pizza had pieces of chorizo on it and whilst it was delicious the chorizo was stingy and there was on average 1.5 pieces per slice. I do prefer the pizza and the atmosphere was lovely but at this price point Pizza Hut becomes a slightly cheaper rival. We also found the specials board a bit confusing.

Used to be a fan but the quality has gone down the pan. Ordered a collection, lady on the phone booked me a collection slot for 7. I got there at 7 and was told 5 mins. After standing outside in the cold for 20 mins I saw the lady pick up my pizzas off a table (not under a lamp) that I saw there 15 mins before. Cold pizzas, cold me and it was all pointless because they were just sat on a table getting cold for no reason. Wouldn’t bother going again £43 for 3 cold pizzas and stood around in the cold for 20 mins. 👎🏻 Edit: Took them 4 months to reply to this review. Useless.

Reserved a table to celebrate my birthday. Ended up walking out after giving the drinks order. Some real training needed to improve customer service. Cannot rate food as we left before eating or drinking.

Food was good, but some of the staff were moody and just seemed to not want to be there. Actually overheard one staff member saying just that. Disappointing.

What a fantastic and lovely team running this joint. They catered to us even though it was closing time and the food was absolutely brilliant. The manager Zoltan if I remember his name correctly was so helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and I will definitely be back again. It was our work dinner and another restaurant completely let us down so we had walk out after 1.5 hours time wasted so we just walked in Franco Manca and even though we were told they were about to close, when I explained what happened to us with the other restaurant they welcomed us and served us top quality pizzas. Pizza was lovely, I would like to say the garlic bread nice too but it never arrived, only ordered 4 things and one was forgotten, wasn't asked for allergies, wasn't asked how the food was, wasn't asked if we would like another drink after we all have empty glasses. Wasn't greeted, no forks on the table and it would have been understandable if there wasn't literally 4 customers in total. Server clinged to the saying ignorance is bliss for sure. Definitely somewhere to go if you're an introvert and want to be ignored.

the price of the food and drinks are amazing especially if you’re a student . I had amazing food but horrible service . as a waitress myself it’s probably why I noticed and I’m more upset by it, but I overheard other orders from other staff and people were following a better ethos but anyway I sat down and the waitress took my order I mentioned an allergy and after that discussion she left half way through me ordering. My drink was placed on the table without being announced placed on the edge and then I tried to order another but nobody came which is a shame as it was such a nice drink . My food was placed I said thank you and I wasn’t acknowledged or asked if I wanted anything else this is disappointing I hadn’t been here before and the menue looked lovely, I will say I wish a pizza cutter came with the food but other than the service OR mention about the allergy I had when the food was placed it was an ok experience at franco manca and I eventually got a check back from who I assume was a a manger And I managed to get the service removed ,
