Fab meals and desserts as usual and Andy our server was great as he always is

Solid pub food at a very reasonable price. Always good service and nice atmosphere.

This is on behalf of others not myself, soup was minimal, check with the staff told it was correct amount, it said baguette with the soup, but it was two small slices. The pizzas were again minimal toppings, didnt look appealing either most left (feed back for other on the table, didnt have much myself), normally the food is ok.

We go here every 3 months to meet family. As it was close to Christmas it was very busy. We did wait longer than normal for service and food. Overall we had a lovely time and the food was lovely.

Emma was a fantastic waitress she was happy helpful and great with our kids thank you the food was lovely too 😊

This was a Christmas lunch for 14. Food was generally good. Service was friendly and helpful, albeit a bit slow, especially between courses, even though the venue was not full. Also, as a couple of people wanted to leave early things got difficult with paying as the till would only accept everyone paying all at once. However, overall we all had a good meal and expect to return in 2024.

Haven't been here for years but will be returning soon. Food was of a really high grade, beer was lively and the staff friendly & really helpful. Outside of the pub looked fantastic and very inviting, and the inside was spotless. Obviously a good amount of money has been invested in this place and the owners should be proud

All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly,but Andy is at the top of his game!He is a consumate professional.Takes a real pride in his work ,and loves chatting to all of the customers.When he is in charge everything is done properly,efficiently ,and cleanliness is second to none.The food is always good,the place is nicely decorated and warm and cosy.We love coming here.

Great experience from start to finish. Shown to our table straight away. Order taken quickly. The lady that served us was, as always friendly, helpful and kind. We enjoy coming to The Fox, whether it’s just my husband and I or family celebrations.

We had our work Christmas meal here and were not disappointed. The Fox is very welcoming, clean, and tidy. From the moment of the booking back in November until the day everything went well. Great choice of food apart from vegan options on a Sunday are very limited, Food was served hot and very tasty. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. The customer service was excellent. We were looked after by a man by the name of Andy, who made sure we were happy with everything and was very pleasant.

The food was good, and had a great time.

It's a nice place just unfortunately on that day service was very slow, took a while to be served when it wasn't a busy day and then the wait for food was longer than expected, still a good place thou

We go to the Fox for lunch each week, and we go despite the food. We like that it's clean and comfortable, not many children and they have waitress service which includes drinks. Unfortunately we have to put up with the limited menu and poorly prepared food.

Not sure about the new​ menu or decor + obviously prices have increased to cover the changes. But on the other hand who does like change? Just have to wait and see

We were a large party of 20 , we were great with a warm welcome. Staff were amazing and looked after all our needs. Food was lovely , everyone left full and happy

Arrived at the pub table was ready my friends were lmpressed how quickly they served us staff we’re really happy nothing was to much trouble they kept checking in with us made sure everything was good everything was good the food was great 👍 we will be back again very soon

Great food and service, reasonably priced, lovely evening meal when visiting the local area for a short stay.

We are always happy with our visits to The Fox and I hope to be back for another family birthday celebration next year (with quite a few visits in between)! Andy and his colleagues are brilliant.

Greeted with a friendly smile at the door , shown to a non sticky table which is unusual these. Ordered drinks and food from the table, no going up the bar. Food was good and hot, all staff were helpful. A good night.

We were shown to our table immediately. The waitress was polite and efficient. The food was delivered quickly and was excellent.

First greeted by a lovely host (I believe his name was Andy) he showed us to our table then returned to take our order, he was so friendly and welcoming. I had the goats cheese and spinach lasagne from the specials menu, absolutely stunning. Never had a bad meal there yet. Food is always spot on, staff are always lovely. Can't fault the place

The service was lovely - polite and friendly waiter staff. Everyone was happy with the food just took a little longer than expected to arrive at our table. Especially dessert - we ordered ice cream only and it took a very long time to arrive.

Frequent visitors who keep returning because we know that everything is just how we like it. Food, atmosphere and service is always superb. Today, this continued as we enjoyed beef lasagne and steak. Thank you to Ashley for looking after us today. Your polite, kind and efficient manner was very helpful to us. We will be back very soon.

We always choose The Fox for family gatherings and this visit was for a belated birthday celebration. Service was excellent as was the food. Everything we ordered was delicious and well presented.

Another really nice evening at The Fox. Really good service prompt, efficient and friendly in particular Amy plus her colleagues. Can recommend the Sea Bass Linguine and the Chicken and Chorizo. Good value and very tasty.

Fantastic service from Andy, attentive but not too attentive. The food was fantastic with our gammon and steak main courses cooked to perfection 👌 best steak I've had in a long while.

The staff were not as friendly as usual. The food was not really hot and my chicken was overcooked and dry. The place was not overly busy either.

Grandchildren picked place to eat. We didn't book in advance and they were able to seat us. Typical pub menu, hostess was polite and friendly and waited whilst children decided what they wanted. Food was good and didn't take long for it to be served to our table. We arrived around 6ish so pub wasn't too busy. Liked the idea of service charge being optional, i was pleased with service and staff so paid service charge. Would go again

I was stung by a massive wasp as there was dropped mouldy strawberries on the carpet under the table, I had to use some vinegar to treat the sting was very painful sadly won’t return as afraid of wasps

Sam our waiter was really helpful and friendly! We’ve been served by him before and had the same positive experience. The rest of our servers were very good too when they brought us out our food. The sauce, veg and salad of my meal was very nice. Thanks Sam and the team!

I have been coming to The Fox for the past 3 yrs. Every time I am greeted by friendly experienced staff who always go above what is expected. They are always very helpful with my dietary requirements and make the visit fun.

Great little pub. The food is always served quickly and always delicious. In particular we enjoy going to the fox as Andy is a brilliant member of the team ! Always makes us feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for him. Absolute super star!

Received friendly welcomes as we entered and someone was waiting for us, so we didn't need to wait to be seated. Table service was speedy and polite, they even let us order one meal to split between our daughters (as one felt poorly and wasn't really eating!) Girls received a choc lolly each for completing the Easter egg hunt, really nice touch. Place is always clean when I go there!

Very pleasant, I noted when booking I was bringing a gentleman for his 75th birthday and also noted he had dementia, the staff were amazing, they presented him with a birthday card including a free dessert and sang happy birthday, they even popped a candle in his dessert. The service was prompt, friendly and the food was delicious. Would recommend and will definitely return. 10/10

My turkey roast wasn't that great, but they did refund it. But the rest of the meal & the service was amazing.
