Booked a table for 19:15 still sat waiting for a table at 19:40. Other people that had bookings later than ours that came in after us were seated. Found staff pretty rude too. Very disappointed as usually really like it here.

The bar and waiting staff were very attentive unfortunately the food was not good. We all agreed that the food lacked flavour which left us very disappointed. One of our group was happy with the pizza . All the other meals were off the pub menu. The mixed grill - Chicken was dry and steak was chewy. Lasagne - lacked flavour as did the cowboy burger. The chicken wings had no colour and unappealing.

Lovely food we had a mix chicken platter and fish and chips- the cod was massive, and the chicken was cooked beautifully. All the staff were great and polite. Lucy was brilliant- she was efficient, polite and quick. She really was a shinning example of how I wish all waiting staff should be. Great experience thank you!!

We'd stopped coming for a while as the menu had changed so much. So pleased the menu seems to have gone back to how it used to be, with much better gluten free choices.

The Fox exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and efficient. There was a huge choice of well-priced food, which was delicious! The tables and interior were clean and it had a really nice atmosphere.

Lovely food, great atmosphere and the service was brilliant - Andy was the best waiter! 10/10 would recommend!

Really bad experience today. I use to go every week and the staff was very friendly. Today the blonde lady at till was really really rude with us. My kids burger were so dry and overcooked. The other rest of staff was quite kind but the blonde lady ha been awful to us. We all are not going anymore and let her treat us like she did

Friendly staff, always welcoming. Food is great. Andy (server) always smiling, always wants to chat. The only issues I would say are that more often than not on the last few weekends we have come there has been a shortage of food items, mainly the pizza deck not being available and Sunday roasts running out before 7pm. Other than that no complaints- thanks Fox team

Easy to order on the qr code. Nice to have a specials menu. Food was great and of good quality. Only complaint is that the roast came with one slice of beef and not two. Great facilities for kids

Food was great and reasonably priced. Our server was great and nothing was too much trouble.

Food average. Would like to have seen more types of veg with my roast and a bit more effort put into the quality of the roast. Pity they ran out of cranberry sauce, but they did offer a substitute of horseradish or mint sauce. Cabbge did look rather over cooked. Only three batons of carrots and no peas, broccoli or roast parsnips. For the £15 I paid, did not feel like great value for money. In the menu picture it shows 3 slices of beef. Only got 2 slices of turkey. I think it would not have taken much to really make the meal realky special and attractive visually.

We sat in the family area, made enjoying a family meal out with young children relaxing knowing the kids had books and games to play whilst waiting. Fast service, food came out within half an hour of ordering and was up to high standards. Very lovely and will definitely be back.

We are regular visitors to the Fox. On arrival we were shown to our table (booked online). We were quickly approached by a waitress who took our drinks order which was quickly delivered. The waitress then took our food order and this was delivered in a short time. The standard and quality of the food was excellent as we have come to expect. After we had finished our dishes were removed and our order for 'afters' taken and this again was delivered quickly. When we had finished I signalled to the waitress to bring our bill. I had a money off token and this was handled without any fuss or difficulty. We then left. At all times the staff were polite and attentive.

Arrived at the pub table was ready my friends were lmpressed how quickly they served us staff we’re really happy nothing was to much trouble they kept checking in with us made sure everything was good everything was good the food was great 👍 we will be back again very soon

Good friendly service good food

It's a pub with a nice vibe and the staff are quite friendly but I wouldn't call the food anything above average. It's going to depend on the time and the day of the week that you go, because I've been both when there's clearly been a full kitchen team and also when it seems like there's only a single less experienced chef. First time food was good, second time it was all a bit dry and tough, which wasn't helped by the fact that it took over an hour to arrive after ordering. It's not going to be my first choice in the future, but I would still visit again. YMMV.

Food lovely Sunday Roast, but the price of a glass of wine is ridiculous, we would come for food but not pay £8/9 for a wine

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FOOD As it was a Sunday we all opted for a Sunday Lunch, eight in total. The first five dishes were, Beef, Chicken and three Turkeys with the additional extra items and then the other three were chicken dinners. We found several issues with the items of each meal. The chicken was dry due to over heating after cooking. The skin was soft and limp. The Yorkshire puddings were all soft and flat as though they had been warmed in a microwave. The stuffing was two small blocks about the size of a 10x10x10mm cube and was as hard as rock. The cabbage came with more of the hard crown than cabbage leaves. Who ever made that decisions should not call themselves a chef as I have never in my entire life served or had been served the hard centre of a cabbage. The red cabbage was salad cabbage as you could taste the sharpness of the  vinegar. Not something I would expect of a Sunday roast. The mash potatoe had a kind of skin on the top of it. The roast potatoes were soft and when you attempted to pierce them with the cutlery, they just sank and caved in as they were all soft on the outside. They also had the taste that potatoes have when they have been cooked again after a precook time. There was not enough gravy in each boat to cover the individual meal it was served with. We highlighted the issues to a male member of the serving staff several times. We were not spoken to by a manager and nor were we offered any alternative. As we had a lengthy wait for our meals and one of the party suffers with hypoglycaemia, we had no choice but to eat the dinners. We were all very very disappointed in the poor quality of these meals.

I had a table for 16 people for my birthday. The accomodating manager sat us in a area that was suitable for my disabled Dad and was private for the amount of people that were there. Staff were amazing with professional standards and patience as taking the orders was not easy with that amount of people. The waitress was lovely and there was no rushing to place orders. The service was outstanding and we all mentioned how lovely the food was and there were 16 clear plates for both starters and mains. Would like to say a massive thank you and how relaxed we were made to feel. A wonderful pub and brilliant birthday. THANK YOU. 😀

The serving staff were excellent, we were informed that there was a half hour waiting time because of the large number of dinners, we told them that it was no problem, however our meals were at the table within 15 minutes

This is on behalf of others not myself, soup was minimal, check with the staff told it was correct amount, it said baguette with the soup, but it was two small slices. The pizzas were again minimal toppings, didnt look appealing either most left (feed back for other on the table, didnt have much myself), normally the food is ok.

We go here every 3 months to meet family. As it was close to Christmas it was very busy. We did wait longer than normal for service and food. Overall we had a lovely time and the food was lovely.

Friendly staff, quick service and delicious food

This was a Christmas lunch for 14. Food was generally good. Service was friendly and helpful, albeit a bit slow, especially between courses, even though the venue was not full. Also, as a couple of people wanted to leave early things got difficult with paying as the till would only accept everyone paying all at once. However, overall we all had a good meal and expect to return in 2024.

Haven't been here for years but will be returning soon. Food was of a really high grade, beer was lively and the staff friendly & really helpful. Outside of the pub looked fantastic and very inviting, and the inside was spotless. Obviously a good amount of money has been invested in this place and the owners should be proud

We had our work Christmas meal here and were not disappointed. The Fox is very welcoming, clean, and tidy. From the moment of the booking back in November until the day everything went well. Great choice of food apart from vegan options on a Sunday are very limited, Food was served hot and very tasty. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. The customer service was excellent. We were looked after by a man by the name of Andy, who made sure we were happy with everything and was very pleasant.

It's a nice place just unfortunately on that day service was very slow, took a while to be served when it wasn't a busy day and then the wait for food was longer than expected, still a good place thou
