We were shown to our table immediately. The waitress was polite and efficient. The food was delivered quickly and was excellent.

I was stung by a massive wasp as there was dropped mouldy strawberries on the carpet under the table, I had to use some vinegar to treat the sting was very painful sadly won’t return as afraid of wasps

The food was great. The staff were excellent. We were made to feel very welcome from the start. Great atmosphere throughout. Superb choice of food and drinks. Overall a great place for an evening out in a wonderful place. A real 5 star experience.

Sam our waiter was really helpful and friendly! We’ve been served by him before and had the same positive experience. The rest of our servers were very good too when they brought us out our food. The sauce, veg and salad of my meal was very nice. Thanks Sam and the team!

I have been coming to The Fox for the past 3 yrs. Every time I am greeted by friendly experienced staff who always go above what is expected. They are always very helpful with my dietary requirements and make the visit fun.

Great little pub. The food is always served quickly and always delicious. In particular we enjoy going to the fox as Andy is a brilliant member of the team ! Always makes us feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble for him. Absolute super star!

Received friendly welcomes as we entered and someone was waiting for us, so we didn't need to wait to be seated. Table service was speedy and polite, they even let us order one meal to split between our daughters (as one felt poorly and wasn't really eating!) Girls received a choc lolly each for completing the Easter egg hunt, really nice touch. Place is always clean when I go there!

Very pleasant, I noted when booking I was bringing a gentleman for his 75th birthday and also noted he had dementia, the staff were amazing, they presented him with a birthday card including a free dessert and sang happy birthday, they even popped a candle in his dessert. The service was prompt, friendly and the food was delicious. Would recommend and will definitely return. 10/10

My turkey roast wasn't that great, but they did refund it. But the rest of the meal & the service was amazing.

A really lovely meal at the Fox. I enjoyed such a tasty salad, it was jam packed with lots of delights. My partner enjoyed a towering burger with gravy. Amy our waitress was very friendly and helpful, thank you.

Lunchtime visit after shopping locally

The staff are very friendly and polite. The food is really nice. A good selection of food to choose from. This is my 6th visit to The Fox and have always had a good time. I went for my birthday with family.

First time in there visiting from Plymouth. The food was excellent, ale like wise atmosphere was superb . I would recommend this place for you.

We had Andy serving us who was great with an excellent table manner. Sadly, the quality of the steak dishes we ordered let the visit down. I think the steaks had been previously frozen due to the colour when cooked, and the chef does not seem to know how to cook it rarer than medium well 😞

Haven't been here for years but will be returning soon. Food was of a really high grade, beer was lively and the staff friendly & really helpful. Outside of the pub looked fantastic and very inviting, and the inside was spotless. Obviously a good amount of money has been invested in this place and the owners should be proud

The fox is good value for money and has a variety of foods to choose from. Service is always good but food can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. I.e we had hunters chicken and the bacon was like burnt cardboard. Not worth complaining and waiting for a replacement so just left it. But generally food is good

Staff are all attentive, professional and very friendly. Menu choice is good and the food is nicely cooked, decent size portions too. One of the few places where the chips are nice as well. I believe they manage their numbers here so it never seems heaving as such just nice. I think this helps with the service given

Inside is not dog friendly but they allow dogs outside under heated patio area. Manager was lovely and very kindly brought our dog some meatballs and water! Service was brill & definitely will be returning. Food is reasonably priced and great selection of mains including vegan options. Lots of variety in beers/ales/ciders on tap.

I booked for 9 people. We are a family group wanting to get together for a meal and a get together. We were welcomed and sat in a large space near a window which was nice. The lady who served us was really nice and accommodating to some of more fussy family members. We all have a very pleasant time and will be returning soon.

My husband and I enjoy our frequent visits to The Fox, usually on a Friday lunchtime to start the run down to the weekend The staff are efficient and mostly cheerful Always something on the menu to suit most tastes and a relaxed atmosphere

Fox at Yate is a great place for a reasonably priced meal. Brilliant service from Andy as usual and the Ideal place for families or for couples wanting to eat out for a change and a treat. Will be back !

We didn’t know that it was now scan code to order or order at the bar, which is a huge shame as one of the reasons we like the fox is down to Andy one of the waiters. We decided to order on the app as it took a while to be acknowledged by the lady on the door when we 1st arrived. We got to the final meal and realised there’s no option to customise on one of the dishes so had to change our choice. Some dishes you can customise but not all. Food arrived and was ok but not the best we’ve had there. We then ordered dessert which was brought out yet our table hadn’t been cleared from mains! So we had to hold our deserts while the waiter cleared the dishes. When we were leaving we noticed the other side of the restaurant was table service yet we hadn’t been given that option. Even if those tables were full it would have been nice for the lady on the door to explain that the only available tables were for scan to order.

I booked a table for 9 for my daughters birthday celebration. We were welcomed with a smile and seen to our table. Our waiter was known to a couple of my family. He was friendly and took great care of us. Definitely provided a service with a smile. Food was delicious.

The service was brilliant and we had a lovely time. Really appreciate their lighter option for burger and the salad was delicious.

Very decent food and a sensible price. But it took an hour and 5 mins to actually get our food, with a confirmed booked table. Within your allocated time limit, it simply was not enough time to enjoy anything. A simple case of rushing punters in and rushing them out. Kitchen not up the required efficiency.

Always a friendly team looking after you throughout from the time you arrive to the time you leave, and food is always great quality. Sam was our waiter this time who was fab, but we recommend them all.

The serving staff were excellent, we were informed that there was a half hour waiting time because of the large number of dinners, we told them that it was no problem, however our meals were at the table within 15 minutes

The service was excellent, very attentive and asking about our meals. The food was lovely but the main enjoyable experiance of the evening were the staff members, they can not do enough for you to make you feel welcome. Especially Andy and Martha who we have had the privilege of knowing for a long time and Harriet a new Runner.

Been coming to the Fox for years. The food, as always, was absolutely amazing and as always Andy was attentive and one of the best servers I've ever experienced. I would highly reccomend the roast on a Sunday. The roast was absolutely fantastic and great value for money.

Both mains were brilliant. Tried chocolate pudding which wife enjoyed but I found a bit disappointing, looked good but left unpleasant aftertaste for me. Service was very good as always.

The service was excellent. When we got there we had our drinks order taken quickly. Even though there was a change of serving staff after we placed our order the man that took over really was a credit to the pub. I wish I could remember his name as he was outstanding.

It was easy to book online. The waitresses were friendly and smiley despite how packed the place was throughout our visit. We were warned of a 30-40min delay in receiving our food from time of order but the time passed quickly as drinks were served and our table was busy catching up with each other. Overall the food was nice - my only niggle was my order of the sirloin steak consisted of at least a quarter of fat/gristle so it wasn't really pleasant to eat, although it was cooked to order (medium-well done).

Came here for a meal and it was lovely. The steak was cooked to perfection by Leon the chef, just the way I liked it. One of the best steaks I have had thank you.Amy are waitress was lovely very friendly and helpful. A fantastic meal and fantastic service thank you fox

Good food and drinks with excellent customer service from the waiting staff at the Fox Yate. A visit to the Fox is a must for a great dining experience.

The online booking system was very easy to navigate and quick to book. Staff were very polite from the moment we arrived. We were there for over 2 hours and at no time were we rushed. We were served by Abbie, who was very attentive and professional, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return.
