Visited the Fox and Hounds Pub at Longthorpe, Peterborough on 3 September 2024 for my birthday lunch. Had an excellent meal with my wife and daughters. The food was excellent and the hosts, Jasmine and Louis, were very friendly and attentive to our table. No hesitation in recommending this pub to anyone wishing to have good food, good service and friendly atmosphere. Give it a go.

We originally went to Boathouse, which is the same chain. They said they had received no delivery therefore they were not serving walk-ins. And that was it, despite their sister location being just 1.3 miles away and unaffected by the issue! We were lucky to find the F&H and had a pleasant meal with good service.

Last minute decision to visit the Fox and hounds which turned out to be a great decision as we both had the fillet steak on the specials menu and it was delicious!

Booked short notice but welcomed by Kushy who was attentive and friendly, becky as usual was great and Tom got the drinks out very quickly! Fantastic food as always, will be back soon!

What a fantastic experience! Our table was the one I asked for on the booking and it was presented with a lovely hand written birthday card from all at the Fox and Hounds. My partner was spoiled and well looked after, as were we all! The food was lovely and very well priced. A massive thank you to Alex, Jamsine and Tilly for all their help and for making my partners birthday a memorable one.

The waitresses and waiters are friendly, hardworking and attentive, but in the area we were seated today, lovely Maddie stood out from the crowd. We watched Maddie serve the other tables including ours and we were impressed with her interaction with everyone. She’s good. We had a tasty Sunday lunch and we’re looking forward to our next visit. Came to visit friends and they recommended the fox and hounds for great food and drinks. We were warmly welcomed by Becky who showed us to our table and took our food and drink order. We had a wonderful evening meal at the Fox and Hounds, Longthorpe. Although it was a busy Friday night, we were seated immediately and our drinks order taken while we looked at the lovely array of meals on offer. All our courses were beautifully presented and the staff were on hand as soon as we wanted another drink or to ask a question. The staff were very friendly, polite and concerned that we enjoyed our meal. We enjoyed our meal and our evening so much that we booked another evening for a couple of weeks time. Also the price of each course was very competitive, I cannot recommend thus beautiful pub enough.

The food was very nice but disappointed as waited 40 min for starters then was asked if we had ordered, kind of ruined the experience.

We went for Sunday Dinner, the menu was a little basic compared to years gone by but the food was excellent, had a lovely steak. You know its good when none of the kids are moaning!

Excellent! As a large family with young children and a dog we were given a warm welcome by Andy. Very friendly atmosphere and amazing food, the dog even got water and biscuits. Very reasonable in price and would definitely recommend!

We visited late afternoon for some late lunch and were welcomed with fantastic hospitality. The food was excellent as was the little touches such as treats for the dog. Place smells like wet dog. Too many dogs not being managed. Staff watched dog climb on me and sniff my plate but said nothing. I can’t believe some dog owners. I don’t take my dogs to restaurants as it’s unhygienic so why does this restaurant let them in in droves. Simply unacceptable.

Well what can we say the best meal and service we’ve had in a long time. Firstly not only thank the staff we had dealings with Becky,Alexia and Maddi. Wonderful people. But also the food which was wonderful. When we have a meal it’s not always about the food but mainly the service from Staff. From Our hearts a massive thank you to all that looked after us tonight after our trip down from Sheffield. Because of the staff mentioned above we shall certainly return to this restaurant. To the manager when you have staff like this you must keep them at all times cost. Much respect from our party.
