Excellent service and food staff very friendly

A very enjoyable meal. Staff were lovely. We had a carvery and a dessert. The sponge pudding was delicious.

Food was amazing, some parts of it weren't exactly my taste but I could see the quality going into it, the service was great, specifically of note was Elliot who (despite being only in work experience) showed great professionalism and hospitality, overall, would recommend!

Popped for lunch with granddaughter carvery was shocking. Gammon so salty you couldn’t eat it. Roasties and parsnips burnt, roasties grey inside gravey tasted weird. Servers and staff great. Was given a refund for food as hardly touched. Fast forward to 6pmish when I started being sick. I’ve been ill all night with D&V, stomach cramps, headache and sweats. Never again. EDIT. Why ask me to email you when the email doesn’t go through. Obviously care as much your chefs.

Really enjoyed taking my boy and his mate there for breakfast and they said that they really enjoyed it to had the buffet breakfast very well priced to so would highly recommend .

Mulberry tree gives brilliant value for money, food is generally good , maybe not highest quality but you cannot fault the value and amount you get! Service always good, friendly staff.

Lovely place to come for family dinners

The whole place seemed absoloute chaos from start to finish! The lady that seated us was lovely and the lady that took our order at the bar however the atmosphere was too much. Everyone in the queue waiting for toast and eggs, plenty of staff to and from the stations filling up for lunch at 9.30 however no apology about the wait from what looked like the manager running back and forth with 4 bits of toast a time. Been in the evening and diddnt enjoy so figured we would give breakfast a chance......never again. Wouldn't recommend! I'd also like to add it wasn't busy at all, as far as customers go the place diddnt even look half full! Mulberry have replied saying "it's fathers day" I fail to see how this is relevant when it wasn't wall to wall packed. One job!

Great prices and food portions staff very helpful

Myself and my family decided to go here on Sunday morning, opening time should have been 8 o'clock, we sat outside until 8 15 so did 2 other cars but it still didn't open so we all left, very disappointed

First visit. .good but asked for a meal of cheese pie but wrong pie was served by mistake got steak...I do not like ..mentioned to bar staff who sorted no problems and returned money ..I did not ask so it was kind

The place wasn't very clean, we sat down and the was food under our table, the table itself was sticky in places. When the food came my order was wrong, but at this point we'd been waiting so I just ate what they'd given me. The quality of food was so-so however I will say that my wife did comment that she enjoyed her carvery meal.

Really good meal.. Large size portion... I had the gammon and chips it was perfectly cooked, my friend had the lasagne and enjoyed it too... Very friendly staff, we visited the evening before lockdown and will definitely be visiting again after... Nice friendly atmosphere and a discount for us NHS girlies... See you soon in December...regularly go here once every couple of months...carvery was delicious .... another yummy meal tonight,carvery...not as much meat as previous visits but still delicious...nice atmosphere.

I took My grandson who struggles with noise to here and particularly ask on the booking for a quiet area. On entering we were asked if we had booked, to which I replied yes. They then started to show us to the childrens area, when I said no, they then tried again to put us to the same area. Again I refused and eventually got to a quiet area. Next my grandson decided to have a carvery as he wanted to try new things and one of the items he put on his plate was cauliflower cheese. He really liked it and asked if he could get another piece to which the waitress told him no she said you can only have one visit and would let him have another piece. I think that was really bad of them and I shall not go there again.

Every Saturday, the mulberry tree farm hosts veterans of the armed forces for breakfast, they produce a very good breakfast at a reasonable cost for veterans.

Meet my daughter in law and grand daughter for a meal tonight 28th May. Food came out hot. Only problem was no ale how can you run a pub without ale. Sorry won't come again

Good size menu, lots for options. Fantastic table service, friendly staff. Healthy portions of food. Carvery service slightly slow however. But overall very good value, especially when combined with blue light discount. Free and ample parking on site.

Disappointed, not only do they offer blue card/defence discount, but apparently not on a bank holiday, shame NHS and service personnel have to work on bank holidays. Oh yes the forgot to bring dessert to round off the evening 😤

It was quiet but even so we were very slow to be seated. The food was OK but nothing special. But they'd run out of bitter. We ordered pudding but they forgot it.

I took some students to celebrate an end of term treat to the Mulberry tree farm, where we were greeted and served by great staff who were kind, patient and understanding about the needs of the learners . Everyone enjoyed their cake and drinks and we will certainly be back to visit again soon.

Would love to give a better rating but the dinner was a let down. The roast beef was chewy. It was like chewing on a piece of rubber. The person serving behind the counter must have had a bad day. He looked so sad and didn't seem to enjoy his job. Strangely that was my last experience but with a different server. I thought and hoped that this time would be different.

Cheese and onion potato pie was good but crust very thick, All day breakfast, couldn't eat black pudding, VERY dry...bacon burnt and very fatty...Sirloin steak was inedible , 8 oz steak, 3 ounce of fat and gristle, just awful..! No-one to meet and greet, and only saw staff to serve and clear, never once asked if food was OK, it clearly wasn't.!!!

Booked a table for Tuesday evening by phone, to meet some friends , on arrival told that they were closed for training, why book tables if not open. Very poor organisation. Would not return.

I have visited this establishment multiple times for breakfast, dinner, and other meals. However, the food tends to be oily in the morning, which is a frequent occurrence. Therefore, I opt not to consume breakfast or carvery, although other meals are acceptable. The establishment is pleasant and clean. It is beneficial for spending time with family and friends, including free parking facilities.

If I could rate this place 6* I would.... food was excellent for the money, fresh and well prepared. We had the lemon cake for pudding, which was sublime, and even I, a dedicated cake eater, couldn't finish it!! The staff were excellent, the service second to none, very very friendly. A real gem and a feather in Greene King's cap!! I will most definitely be back.

Scampi beautiful, chips awful, frozen chips are fine if properly cooked ,they were undercooked. All 3 were the same

Asked for extra stuffing! Gave us Extra everything including some BEAutiful cakes.. Even wrote a lovely note on the bags.. Food was perfect for us, more than enough! And the clear 10/10 service.. Just lovely. Will 100% order again and will 100% leave many more reviews.

Popped in for a spot of lunch, hadn't booked was sat quickly friendly welcoming staff. Ordered food at bar and food arrived in no time at all. Food delicious and hot. Had to get some cake as they looked fantastic! Was not disappointed!! Highly recommend! Will be returning

Always a great meal at the Mulberry Tree. All very friendly staff. The manager is great! The food is very yummy never had a bad meal here whether off the main menu or the carvery. We had chicken medley, chicken combos and sweet chilli chicken & halloumi burger. 4 people.

Great food, friendly staff and good value for money. Small play area for the kids to keep them entertained whilst you wait for food. A regular spot that pleases every time.

It's such a lovely place to eat. Food is good, choose from the menu, or a carvery, the desserts are to die for, can't eat it all, then the staff will box it up, to take home. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Nice place to eat in or outside. We'll recommend.

Good place for breakfast, and dinner

I just thought I’d like to write a little review because I’m a little bit confused on a matter we visited this restaurant in December for our Work Christmas party on a Saturday night we had our meal it was very nice we sat there drinking and having a nice time when the young lad came up to us and said sorry it’s time to drink up and we said oh you’re closing and he said yes cause there’s a baby upstairs sleeping so we’re closing this time was 10 to 10 at night and I thought it stayed open till 11 but I wasn’t sure so we all got our taxes and went home. Little bit disappointed. We decided to go back to the restaurant on Saturday for another visit of Work party Before we booked it we checked and it stays open till 11 o’clock and then we said that is fine sat there drinking having a nice time. There was other people in the bar all having a nice time when the young lad comes up and says really sorry it’s time to drink up and I went oh I thought you stayed open till 11 o’clock which he replied no sorry we’ve got to do the cleaning so we’re closing so does the pub stay open till 10 or 11 If it’s 10, I think they need to change the time on the web so people don’t get confused. We visited as a table of 6 on a Saturday evening at 7pm. On arrival there was a long queue for the bar where you had to order your food and drinks but the staff serving were pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious and great value for money.

All I can say is it was the best meal out for a long time

I went on mother's day so expected it to be busy which it was at 5.15pm. Had to queue at the bar to order if we wanted to use our deposit which was a 20 min wait to get served, then queued for our carvery which was expected. Carvery was ok, potatoes a bit dry and hard and the old guy carving the meat only gave you one slice of whatever you wanted. Decided to order ice-cream for desert after waiting 30 mins with no ice cream I asked for a refund so we could leave, the lady who I dealt with was very apologetic and offered me a free piece of cake to take home. Would I go again ? Prob not.

Food obviously been waiting around for a while under the heat lamps, or been microwaved! Waited a while to get it! Would think again to revisit unfortunately!!

Great friendly service food was spot on and the ice cream is to die for! Very accommodating as we were not sure wat time we’d arrive and our table was ready! Also ordered my son’s steak medium instead of rare and it was no problem at all to fix even though it was entirely my fault!

Only one person out of a party of four liked their food. The burger was lovely. The gravy from the carvery smelt like cigarettes and tasted like burnt wood. This of course made everything else on the plate taste nasty. The toilets were dirty and the flush buttons were missing the caps.

There is often only 1 person assigned to taking the order, payment and stopping to provide drinks (a long delay if having to also cover barista duties) as such the queue for the carvery is empty but the queue for the bar / ordering is back to the entrance door. Once ordered the carvery experience is excellent. Hot food well presented with a choice of 3 meats (beef, turkey, gammon). The takeaway option works really well and is very good value for money.

Busy, busy. Lots of staff - doing nothing useful. One server taking food orders, wrestling with club cards, making coffees etc.! Stood for AGES. Poor.

Can’t comment on the food or service, as they won’t let us in. tried to book a table for 10 with a months notice but the timing and size of our group is an inconvenience to them. So won’t let us book.

Been a few times now and can say that the food is great - especially the carvery, best I've had - with great service from friendly staff. Pricing is good and appreciated in these tough times. Atmosphere different depending on how busy and what time / day of the week etc. Booked a table in advance on every visit, just in case as being so popular it gets quite busy. Already looking forward to our next visit 👍👍

Went out for a meal, Friday 2nd February 2024. Food was a more expensive weather spoon quality apart from the desserts. Partner ordered off the non gluten containing menu due to herself and our daughter having celiac disease so are unable to eat certain foods without reacting. Both have been ‘glutened’ as we call it. I feel this could be due to cross contamination within the kitchen. Non gluten containing items should be treated as an allergen if not stated otherwise as this is not a fad diet it is a medical condition. Everything was ordered through the app with very little human contact which was a shame. The app was okay to navigate but I have seen better. Upon paying the bill through the app it asked us for a tip. At that point the only thing that the restaurant had actually done for us was walk us from the door to the table. I’m not one for tipping on the premis that the service and food will be good that would normally come at the end of the meal. I think you’re loosing tips due to this. Food was very basic. Waiter that bought our dinner to us did drop my burger top bun but was very apologetic and soon replaced without me saying anything so that was good. The menu advertised had a lot of items unavailable which was a shame. Definitely improvements to be made and we won’t be rushing back unfortunately. This was my late nans restaurant of choice a few years back however I don’t feel it’s as nice as it was a few years back.

Breakfast good. For a budget type of breakfast, buffet style the ingredients were of good quality. Would definitely go back

Great beers, good company and banter, just need food now!

First time visiting this establishment and words cannot express how helpful the team were. I have a lot of allergies and I explained this to the staff, without any hesitation they worked together and provided me with a freshly prepared carvery meal from scratch and did everything in their power to keep free from cross contamination. The atmosphere was sensational, very friendly, full of smiles. I didn't need a dessert, the staff were sweet enough. Will definitely go back again. Thank you for a wonderful evening! 💛

Food not the hottest but very tasty, I think we went during quiet time a Tues lunch was amazed at the amount of roast items followed by a massive eclair yum

Wow wow wow What a great place to eat .After eating at quite a lot of pubs and restaurants this has definitely hit the top 3 .The food was very delicious a wide range of choice at the carvery with regards extras.as a person with a big appetite I found even the regular plate more than enough. All in all from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel welcome. The only problem was I left without trying the desert but I guess (lucky for me )I will have to make a return visit to sample them.

The Mulberry Tree Farm has never disappointed with their roast dinner selection. The choice of meats, vegetables, and side sauces, etc. is great, and the quality has always been excellent. There is ample parking and with the added option for delivery, or order and pickup (which are to the same high standard) its well worth a visit.

Severely understaffed! The staff who are there are excellent, they do a great job but the restaurant is just short of staff. We queued for 34 minutes in the line for the carvery on Sunday (this excludes any time waiting at the till, that was on top of this 34 minutes). I can only assume it’s either due to poor management or not offering a good enough package to employees to attract new staff? I’m surprised the current staff are still there every week as the working conditions don’t seem very appealing, I certainly wouldn’t want to do their job on a Sunday. Every week without fail we see every walk in customer being turned away despite their being at least 35% of tables unoccupied. *edit* MTF has responded saying the staff will be disappointed with my review? The poor staff aren’t the problem, they are working their backsides off and need more staff on shift - I have already stated this in my review above. The problem must sit with management or recruitment process? MTF are turning wall in customers away every week when we visit, despite having lots of available tables. The bottleneck is always the meat carving station, ideally need 2 members of staff on this station.

After a queue to order food, there was a lack of availability for various orders (no fish, no macaroni cheese). Once the food arrived we had missing items, e.g. the all day breakfast was missing the black pudding, other orders in our party were also missing various food items. This was highlighted to the staff but not rectified, only when we spoke to the manager was this taken care of. The wait was food was OK but the staff all seemed sombre.
