Mulberry Tree Farm in Peterborough

Had the carvery. Meats were dry, roast potatoes tasted old and the gravy tasted burnt. This was our second visit and last time the carrots were mush. And again they never had many desserts. Won't be returning. Sorry.

The best beef we have had for a long time, plentifull portions highly reccomend.

Been for a lunchtime roast today....disappointed...the roasts were obviously from the previous day.. the beef looked lije it seen better days the turkey breast one side was really dry and crispy and the gammon was also dry.. roast potatoes were soggy aswell ..if I go again at lunchtime I will be ordering iff the main menu I think.. husband was really disappointed as he was hungry but left his potatoes as the beef dripping ones were also soggy... sorry mulberry but you were nit up to your usual standards today

Our second time here within 5 weeks The food is amazing The staff are very friendly and helpful Donna a staff member there was so friendly and helpful and really showed me that there are still some very friendly people around and I couldn't ask for any more

Fantastic food especially the carvery Mars attack cake was amazing

Only had 2 vegan options on the menu, both were unavailable (bean burger withdrawn due being horrible, tex mex chilli - supply issues. I'm sure it is a fine place to eat if you have no dietary requirements, but our experience was poor and we left.

Lovely family meal, food nicely cooked and presented.

Queued at the bar for over 10 minutes to place order. Food arrived promptly and was acceptable for the price. Chips were a bit undercooked though. Staff friendly enough. R

Everytime we have been, it has been lovely! From the food, to the staff! Carvery I would always recommend, not a bad one yet! Also had other bits off of the menu and was always lovely!

Although I visited on a Saturday lunchtime and its close proximity to the Hampton shopping centre it wasn’t too busy. I was served straight away at the bar for drinks and food order. I chose the carvery which, like my review of another pub in this chain, was excellent. The meats and vegetables were cooked perfectly and with the range of vegetables there’s something for everyone. On this visit I was too full for one of their enormous desserts, yes the size of the cakes in the cabinet are what you get! The pub was clean and tidy and the staff friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be visiting here again. At time of writing this review they accept the Blue Light Cards which gets you 15% off your bill.

Great for a carvery, if that doesn't take your fancy. It also has a varied menu at great prices. Family friendly, play area. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. 100% would return..

Food was lovely and staff were friendly all round lovely experience.

This is local to our friends home so we popped for lunch. If you're vegetarian don't expect much. There are two things to pick from unless you just eat sides. Cauliflower wing salad or Mac and Cheese. Everything is very calorific. The service is 'order on the app or at the counter' and brought to the table, which is fine if you like that, and the staff are very friendly and check that you're happy with the food. The facilities for customers are not great, broken toilet door locks etc. And there were flies everywhere, in February! Which really has put me off returning. The people who work there are very nice but the menu is blah and the building needs a good refurb.

Family reunion, very large group, lots of different orders. All came out in good time,hot and service with a smile. It seems this GM runs a great team. Would 100% go back. Very reasonable prices with a varied menu aswell as carvery...the best were the cakes 🎂. Would book in advance to avoid dissapointment as it seems to get very busy.

Went in for lunch and was greeted by Donna and seated at a table. All our meals were good value for money. We had gammon, chicken burger, curry and carvery. Mel was very pleasant as she asked if everything was OK and Donna was very chatty and helpful and went out of her way to talk . Would definitely visit again.

Good choice on menu and the Bar. Carvery and the staff are very good. Good value for money.

Great place 3rd visit won’t be the last

Visited twice in a matter of days, once for breakfast then for an evening carvery. On both occasions the food was good, with plenty of choice and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful, already looking forward to my next visit 🙂

Enjoyed a lovely meal out with my friend, son and his girlfriend. I ordered the fish and chips, was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was nice a quiet, friendly staff and great service.

Been a few times now and can say that the food is great - especially the carvery, best I've had - with great service from friendly staff. Pricing is good and appreciated in these tough times. Atmosphere different depending on how busy and what time / day of the week etc. Booked a table in advance on every visit, just in case as being so popular it gets quite busy. Already looking forward to our next visit 👍👍

Always have a good experience here. Staff are friendly and approachable. Food is always great regardless of what I've ordered. Carvery has 3 meat options and plenty of sides to choose from. Recommend booking a table for evening dining as it can get very busy.

Very easy to book table, they always welcome you when you Go in and take you to your table you have booked and the table is clean and well set out got all you need, the staff are very helpful when ordering your meals,and the food choices are excellent and well cooked,the place in very clean and plenty of parking we are looking forward to going on Sunday the table already booked,Mr and Mrs Lewis Barratt.

First and last time visiting It was dirty we had the company of a couple flys at our table. The food wasn’t great. The lasagne was burnt and tasted like vinegar, the chip shop platter tastes a bit weird and the meat from the carvery was a bit fatty.

Staff friendly and helpful, food average but good value, only problem 6 meals ordered 4 came out quickly but had to wait for the last 2 by the time they came out the others had nearly finished.

Party of 8 (one couldn't make it) and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. Would have preferred to be further away from the children's play area as it gets very noisy but that was towards the end of our visit.

Had our family Xmas dinner here. Food was delish but the cost was a bit pricey. At 65 per person we should of had a drink included at the very least.

We like The Mullberry Tree, food is always good, Atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Very reasonably priced and good location. Carvery is lovely. Recommended booking table for carvery as it can get busy.

Good prices, decent portions (sometimes too much so ad you have to take it home with you). Their puddings are amazing, and again, huge. Carvery is worth it, breakfast is incredible for value, it's like £8 for all you can eat buffet style. So good!

Breakfast cold again. Will not go back as have been a couple of times and it’s been cold. Which is a shame Price is good but not for cold food. And not for food that’s not great quality.

We live 25 mile away from this pub but love coming here. From the minute we were are greeted at the door, everything runs smoothly. Each member of staff is polite and helpful. Cannot stress enough how much we enjoy our visits. We had the Festive menu for 7 of us (we were the only table within that time slot who did) for this family get together (ages 13 to 62). Food was great value for money and good quality. Just wish we live closer to visit more often... Thank you

Party of 13, Christmas menu to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service was disgusting.

Table booked for 13 people, took 40 mins for our starters after many times asking, then adults went to get the carvery and finished whilst kids were still waiting for their mains, when they did finally come it was all dry and horrible, starters plates were still on table after leaving and hardly any service at all..... food was lovely though

Girlfriends christmas lunch. Third year running for us. We love it here. Welcoming, friendly ladies who show you to the table and explain things to you. Carvery is first class, with a friendly chef who carves the meat. All the vegetables are piping hot and presented well. Although it was an extremely busy day with people piling in all the time, we never felt rushed to finish our meals and vacate the table. Bar staff were pleasant, drinks were good and the coffees were delicious. We always feel valued as customers when we eat here. Looking forward to next year already.

Breakfast with Santa was fantastic. Really appreciated the friendliness of staff and the my little one was mesmerised by Santa and his knowledge of Bluey. Thanks Mulberry will def book again for next Christmas.

Booked christmas meal with family traveled up from Kent for meal. What a wonderful time, staff food and restaurant was great, made even more great by Rebecca who sorted out everything for me what a great member of yiur team and a real asset to yiur business.

My husband and I arrived for breakfast, which was pleasant enough. However, when going to the counter, there were no breakfast Yorkies, and so I asked to be told that there were none available today, I find this unacceptable considering that is advertised as part of the breakfast and there is nothing to say subject to availability, either the kitchen were lazy or this is false advertisements I let you decide!

I came for breakfast with my friend. Staff members, as always, were very helpful and polite. The service was very good. The food was fresh and nice. As also the premises clean and cousy made my whole day 💜. I am just thinking I should be coming more often here 💜

Came here tonight , £4 extra pp to eat on a Sunday ,same food same chairs to sit on , portion of meat was not acceptable such a small thin slice , beef was chewy no mash and aunt Bessie’s Yorkshire puddings usually they are home made very disappointed

My wife and I had the carvery meal. I enjoyed it very much. I had the standard meal which was more than enough for me. The waitress who served us was very kind and thoughtful. As both of us are disabled she went out of her way to help us both. On leaving the restaurant we had an accident in the carpark with our car and the staff were again more than helpful and showed genuine concern for both of us. I can't thank them enough for their kindness. 10/10

Enjoyed the carvery on Sunday, although it's not easy if you're disabled. No help offered by staff, and it didn't feel as if there were enough staff around for such a busy restaurant. Still, the food was good at the carvery, and that makes a difference.

Another lovely meal at our local this evening. We were served by Donna & Mel and they were both so lovely and friendly. They remembered us form our last visit which is amazing considering how many people they must see!! We come back just for them!

I think it depends what staff are on at the time first time I went the guy behind bar couldn't have been more helpful and polite the other staff were also really friendly 2nd visit guy behind bar wasn't particularly engaging at all. The first guy made my drink blackcurrant lemonade really nice 2nd was short on blackcurrant I will definitely go back as the food and everything else was really good just that one on particularly wasn't too friendly as if it was an inconvenience to be there

We went to the Mulberry Tree Farm for a roast dinner and we were not disappointed. A good choice of meats and an extensive choice of vegetables. It was all cooked well and very tasty. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We are going to go back.

Really good meal.. Large size portion... I had the gammon and chips it was perfectly cooked, my friend had the lasagne and enjoyed it too... Very friendly staff, we visited the evening before lockdown and will definitely be visiting again after... Nice friendly atmosphere and a discount for us NHS girlies... See you soon in December...regularly go here once every couple of months...carvery was delicious .... another yummy meal tonight,carvery...not as much meat as previous visits but still delicious...nice atmosphere.... another nice meal,roast potatoes a bit overdone and hard Yorkshire puddings,only one slice of meat for medium roast so unfortunately knocked a star off for the food .. really nice but that was a little disappointing

Ordered online for takeaway carvery several times over the past year-year and a half, and EVERY time there has been an issue, the order hasn’t been received and the staff have had to rush round to chuck the order together (which often resulted in subpar food, but by that point you’re so hungry, you’ll eat anything!) This last time the order hasn’t been received, the carvery is closed… cannot fulfil the order. We have often visited the pub and eaten inside and never had an issue (with food or service) but the online ordering system needs a serious shake-up. We often go with Mulberry Tree over Toby Carvery due to the value for money, but at least with Toby Carvery we’ve had the order accepted and always got our food. Will not be using Mulberry Tree’s online takeaway service in the future, unfortunately. On the plus side, staff were very helpful and refunded the order, and made us something on the main menu, so it’s still worth a sit-down visit!

This is my husband and I's go-to carvery stop!! We've been going there for years now and it never disappoints. Everything is properly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The meat/poultry offered is usually gammon, turkey and beef. We spoke with Patrick, the assistant general manager when he came to take our empty plates away, and he informed us that each roast is slow roasted for 18 hours, so everything is always succulent. We had a giggle with him. The vegetables can change by season and availability. Today (Fri, 8th Nov' '24) there were roasted potatoes, beef dripping baby roasted potatoes, carrots, green beans, roasted parsnips, broccoli, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage and I'm probably forgetting something. There was also a delicious sage and onion stuffing, vegetable gravy, an assortment of carvery complimentary condiments such as horseradish, and there are usually gravy boats so you can take more gravy to your table. Compliments to all of the chefs, especially Bradly and Richard who were today's chefs. Also, thank you to the bar lady, Sarah who served us today. She was friendly and pleasant.

We came in for lunch today. Food was lovely, great value for money with the half term kids offer. The member of staff (Keira) in the children's area was super friendly.

Ciera was amazing! So helpful and great with our nephew.

Such a lovely pub to visit- food is always amazing & the drinks are fresh and cold! Most importantly though- the staff are absolutely amazing, always friendly and happy & recognise us when we come in which is lovely! Special shout out to Sophie & Sarah who always make us feel really welcome and are always up for a laugh! Very glad that this is our new local :)

This used to be a 4 to 5 star establishment but gone down hill recently in both food quality, normal menu and the queue for the bar which can be dreadful at 10 to 15 minutes. You need a person doing drinks and a person on the till taking the orders! A real let down and management need to take note! It's now average at best here.

We had a great time at the Mulberry tonight, great atmosphere, great food (we had the shared nachos, delicious and a very generous serving), really indulgent Baileys hot chocolate!

Been here twice now, the carvery food is excellent and the service brilliant always helpful and polite,will definitely be going back again and again.

Ordered the wrong pudding the gentleman gave me a free one and let my wife have the other dessert. Great service from the gentleman bringing our food out. We love coming here as they are great and helpful with dietary requirements.

Really great pub, excellent food. I was able to opt for salad with my steak instead of chips. Went there for a working lunch. A couple of times now, but would definitely go back with family/friends if I was in the area.

I recently visited MTF for a quick bite and had the carvery. The staff members were courteous and polite, and the food was delicious. I appreciated the variety of seating options available. I would gladly return to this establishment in the future.

Actually a really nice carvery, the carvery meals were really nice, no issues worn soggy vegetables or over cooked dried out food. Desserts were too big, would have preferred half the size for half the price. A few of us didn't bother with desserts as they were too big and if no one wanted to share that dessert then we just chose to leave it as they were too big for one. Service was good. Got served pretty quickly and we were there late lunch on a Sunday.

We are really pleased we visited the Mulberry Tree Farm it was our first visit and the price for the carvery was excellent we had a 2 course for £8.99. Food was delicious and we will be going there again very soon. Definitely recommend.

We went last night. It looked like they didn't have much staff working. The chef messed our food timings up twice and then messed an order up too so had to wait longer for that. We was only a table of 3, so our orders were not complicated. The food was basic at best. Not impressed at all and won't be going back.

Went today for a carvery and I'm afraid to say, myself and brother were very disappointed, all the veg was luke warm and something was very very peppery, but couldn't figure out what, considering we were there for 12pm, was expecting the food to be hot from being cooked and not from the pepper taste, shame really because the carvery is normally lovely.
