Fab food, we love the brewery tap but only just been able to get deliver due to where we live. Fab food as always

Always great beer choice, good atmosphere.

Ordered from a restaurant rather than a takeaway for better quality and actually the quality was shocking. Soggy, Luke warm, bland. Texture of most things were not right, either wet when should be crispy or just overcooked at dry. Shocking to pay restaurant prices and have such poor quality. Appeared like frozen food reheated poorly!

Over half the order was missing

We always enjoy visiting a brew pub and do our best to seek them out. From what I understand, although this place is still advertised as a brew pub, they no longer brew on-site, with production having moved to a larger facility. That said, they had five of their own ales on: Citra, JHB, Inferno, Bishop’s Farewell, and a red rye ale. Keen to sample the lineup, I worked my way through the first four. Unfortunately, they all tasted rather similar — both in colour and flavour — which was disappointing. I would have expected a broader range of styles, perhaps a stout or a hazy beer to offer some variety. As a real ale enthusiast, I found the beer selection underwhelming. However, we primarily called in to eat around 5pm on a Friday without a reservation and were seated upstairs where there's table service. Our waitress looked after us very well. The food was fantastic — packed with flavour, well-cooked, and served promptly. They were happy for us to share a starter and dessert, and our drinks were topped up throughout the meal. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience and I’d highly recommend it for the food and service. It’s just a shame about the beer!

Right , since the first time I went to the toilet there was a security guy checking myself when I was pissing , he was on the top of the cubicle checking what I was doing , basically if you wanna go to the toilette for a dump be sure there will be a bouncer checking on you, checking the size of your poo or whatever you have to throw in the toilets, well , even worse , they will check your pockets with their own hands , with no permission , I know for a fact that the council want to close them down because of drugs but, checking costumers in the toilet , in their privacy is totally disrespect-full, and it doesn’t matter if you are drunk or not ! Checking you while you are in your privacy is not right, I thought the council was wrong , but now I know why they are right and this place has to be closed down for good, no privacy is respected and when the bouncer was confronted , on why he was checking you, on the top pf the cubicle , on the 45 years of my life I’ve never seen anything like that, in a place where you supposed to have a good time, I would never go back To a place like this and hope the council shut them down for good!, The Security guard never knocked on the door while I was using the toilet , he was checking everyone that was going there after a second the person went in. so that is not a standard practice, that was abuse , I understand you want to prevent drug abuse , but I don't take drugs and like me there are Hundreds of people which will not go back , because a such abuse, He was checking because he wants to find someone taking drugs, Not because he thought I was taking long for any emergency or something, as I took 2 minutes and on the 1st minute he was there! I kept an eye to it and he has done the same to every single person that was using the cubicle,

Took work colleagues visiting town out for dinner they loved it. They said the food was so so good and that the Thai food was better than restaurants in London. Great job guys.

Went for an early dinner before catching the train. The bar staff provided a friendly welcome. I had reserved and noted a wheat allergy (there was no coeliac or gluten option). When we went to order the food we were told they couldn’t guarantee anything was gluten free as the kitchen was small. If the website said as much, rather than give allergy options, we wouldn’t have booked. We parked at the car park next to the back of the pub and it looked grubby, overflowing with rubbish. The bar smelt of rubbish; a smell which lingered. We had to eat as I had a long train journey. I had the massaman curry. It was quite tasty but the meat was stewing steak, so I imagine it was re-heated. I then felt sick for all of my 4 hour journey home. My partner had Pad Thai which she said was nice. Overall, it felt quite unpleasant to be there and not relaxing at all. The staff were nice though which is why the review isn’t lower.

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to walk into on when I approached on a Friday evening and found bouncers on the door. But upon entering I found the atmosphere was lovely and the bar staff friendly. I ordered a beer, took a food menu and set off to find a table. I thought I'd hide upstairs on the mezzanine where it was quieter, but I was immediately approached by the restaurant staff (which was quite perplexing, given the vibe until this point!). They were very polite and seated me despite not having a reservation, and took my order. I was very confused at this point, because I'd found myself sat in a fancy feeling Thai restaurant, at an 80's pop dance night with bouncers, in a tap room. But the food was absolutely fantastic, as well as reasonably priced, the staff were attentive, polite, and efficient. I will absolutely return next time I'm in Peterborough!

Aziza was so thoughtful and her attention to detail was impeccable. She remembered my Nieces name and made sure we were very well cared for throughout our visit. Would definitely recommend

Called in for a quick beer, good selection. Spacious pub with a first floor. Friendly quick service. It was very busy with takeaway food, lots of delivery drivers arriving, seemed well organised they didn't need to wait.

Couldn't fault the service, all the boys we're really friendly, chatty, helpful and attentive. Emanuel, Joe and I'm really sorry didnt get the last guys name. My fiancé was driving and was very pleased to see they did non alcoholic cider. I had a few cocktails which were delicious, especially the winter blues. Food was good and tasty. Only thing I would say is that the food came out very quickly, which is usually a good thing but it was too quick which makes me think it's precooked and microwaved. However given how busy it gets I also Don't blame them. Prices were very reasonable also. Thank you for a good night we will be back

I was shocked we couldn’t get in with out ID but then opened the other door and let the Eastern European's in without paying. Where eventually we managed to enter after being ID’ed at the age of 54 plus and paid a entry fee.

Servicio absolutamente terrible. Restaurante reservado con 24 horas de antelación para 7 personas. Llegó a las 6 pm. Sentado con bebidas. Comida pedida ya que teníamos nuestro 3 1⁄2 años de edad con nosotros. ¡La segunda ronda de bebidas pidió y preguntó dónde estaba nuestra comida ya que el más pequeño estaba hambriento! 7:30 pm 3 mesas llegaron una hora más tarde de lo que nos sirvieron. Preguntamos dónde estaba nuestra comida. Para que le den 1 plato principal, luego 10 minutos después llegaron 6 platos vacíos! 8:30 pm después de preguntar a un miembro del personal 3 veces y ser totalmente ignorado. ¡Decidimos irnos! El personal se disculpó verbalmente, pero todavía trató de cobrarnos por el plato principal no comido. Por lo que nos negamos. Servicio y atención al cliente totalmente espantosos.

Meal booked 24 hrs in advance for 7 people. Arrived at 6pm. Sat down and given our drinks. Food ordered by 630pm as we have our little grandson of 3½ with us! More drinks, still no food!! Eventually after 3 tables that came and hour later than us. We asked where our food was! Reassured it would be soon, we waited. Husbands main course came and 6 empty plates were given! 1½ hours later we asked a waitress 3 times where our food was as the little boy was hungry and getting restless. To be totally blanked. So in total we waited 2½ hours when we decided to go to somewhere where we would get food as it was apparent food wasn't going to be served anytime soon. They tried to charge us for the 1 main course that wasn't eaten as was waiting for everyone to eat together.We got a verbal apology. And had to demand this main course be removed from the Bill. A disgusting and disgraceful service.

Excelente relación calidad-precio. Comida de calidad y porciones muy grandes. Ambiente divertido y gran servicio. Emily era absolutamente brillante. Muy natural con los clientes y extremadamente atento. El servicio era realmente de primera cajón. Preferimos un restaurante tradicional, pero este lugar hace exactamente lo que dice en la lata y no puedo culparlo por lo que es. Me encantó el Pad Thai y los pasteles de pescado tailandés. Estábamos visitando amigos y más del sudeste asiático y encontramos la comida para ser sabroso y auténtico.

Absolutely the worst "chinese" food I have ever attempted to eat, so bad that most of it went straight into the bin!

As a bar its beer selection is fine but the food!! Got to be some of the best Thai food I’ve had and pretty cheap too! Would recommend to anybody in the area

We've been many times here but last time unfortunately was below expectation. 28th Dec Saturday exactly, between 3-4pm, about 25 clients inside, most stuff with hangover we're waiting 1h for a food. It wasn't nice to chase them but after two reminders finally we've received something what we didn't ordered - nice long black hair woven into the noodles... What a shame... they need improvement. Lack off professional approach to the client. They're surprised why I'm asking for a food already ordered...

Restaurant gave my order to the wrong just eat driver who then delivered it to another customer. Never received my order. Called the restaurant and they said nothing they can do because it’s a 3rd party order. Won’t order there again

I had the pleasure of dining at The Brewery Tap recently, and it exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and generous portions. The Pad Thai was perfectly cooked with just the right balance of sweetness and tang, and the green curry had a rich, creamy texture with a delightful hint of spice. Food nice but cold .delivery 45 mins late not worth the wait

2 hours 24 minutes for mediocre Luke warm food, small portions even compared to other restaurants that deliver & the quality definitely didn't make up for it, bit sad but I was genuinely disappointed with everything.

Este lugar es honestamente mi restaurante favorito en Peterborough, sin exageración! La comida siempre está en el lugar, todo está caliente, fresco y el servicio siempre es bueno también. El menú del almuerzo es el mejor, mi recomendación es el Curry Tailandés Amarillo (vegetariano) Las papas fritas son una necesidad y el Dim Sum siempre está listo. He estado yendo aquí desde un niño con mi madre y la comida siempre ha seguido siendo la misma de la mejor manera. Los chefs son increíbles. ¡Muchas gracias por tu increíble comida!

Waited over 2 hours ordered just after 6pm picked up from brewery tap at 6.20 confirmed by them, 8.15pm message to say delivered but nothing recieved!!! First and last time using just eat. Absolute rubbish, driver apparently Pablo C ? Hope you enjoyed it

I would say the portions seems smaller then if you ate in, The price is higher using the delivery platform/service

Nosotros vamos al menos dos veces al mes y llevamos más de 20 años yendo a la Cervecería, pero no hemos estado un lunes durante bastante tiempo. Esta comida estaba muy por debajo de la par y algo puso un amortiguador en nuestra noche. El cuello de cerdo era duro y la salsa muy acuosa - algo de sabor y calor, pero muy decepcionante. El pollo de coco estaba sobrecocido (posiblemente recalentado) con una pequeña cantidad de salsa cremosa sin sabor. El tamaño de la porción también fue un poco en el tamaño pequeño (cantidad de pollo). Papas fritas y cerveza tailandesas - todo bien! Nota: generalmente el estándar es alto y los platos muy consistentes.

Great place to go Saturday for a boogie

Brutally understaffed on a Sunday lunchtime, stood at a not-very-busy bar for over 15 minutes before being served - so much for popping in for a quick drink. Screams of underinvestment, with just two bar staff on (one of which was AWOL for the entire time), missing drip trays, peeling seats, etc.

The Thai food is AMAZING and the beers are good! Great spot to fuel up before the train.

Great food and great beer. Thai food + Beer. What a combo. If you have the chance drop in and give the place a go. The Thai fries and prawn crackers are delightful as a snack to go with your drink. There is a small beer garden but if you are looking to spend your time outside try their sister bar and restaurant across the city called Charters.

The Brewery Tap is a pub with its own microbrewery and a Thai style restaurant. The place is large with an ample seating area on two floors. We were looking forward to authentic Thai cuisine based on the many positive reviews. First negative point – the table top was sticky and the menus were also sticky as well as dog-eared. We went for the lunchtime specials – vegetarian yellow curry and massaman beef curry. The servings turned out to be small and were served in tiny bowls filled to the brim along with rice and prawn crackers; this makes it to eat. The beef dish first – not enough sauce/fluid, making it dry. I ended up eating dry curry and dry rice. No idea how fresh it was; I suspect that it was pre-made and then nuked. To top it off – it was sweet. The yellow curry – mainly potatoes and onions. Thais do not eat potatoes; there were none of the vegetables that normally go into a Thai curry. It tasted as if the sauce had just been poured over the potatoes, sweet as well. On a positive note – the pint that I had was drinkable with a decent hop taste. In summary – disappointed, mediocre quality, expensive for what you get and definitely unauthentic. We came in all excited and full of anticipation and left disappointed. Will not be back. This experience has finally put me off eating out altogether; I would rather have bread and cheese at home.

Visited on Saturday, did not try the food here but ate at a sister venue East which was excellent. Good choice of drinks, good music and atmosphere.

One of the best places for Thai food in the country. Service is always outstanding and the food is consistently fantastic. Pork belly, crispy prawns, stir-fried noodles, and basil rice are always highlights.

The food here was lovely, maybe a little greasy for me, but nice and spicy and a good variety for vegans and veggies. Its a bit drab eating downstairs, I have always been upstairs to eat before, which is a bit nicer. We had a random switching off and on light just near our table, which was incredibly annoying. Service both at the bar and the table was really good, staff chatty and friendly.

Stumbled across the Brewery Tap due to a delayed train. Paid £3.50 for a lovely pint and have some lovely Thai food for lunch. Would highly recommend.

It's been years since I was last here and fortunately, the food is still fantastic. Spacious interior, good service and an extensive Thai menu....and the food was excellent. Well worth a visit if you are a fan of Thai food.

Popped in with my son, lovely atmosphere, great beer. When my daughter in law and grandaughter(4) turned up we ordered food which was really good. Service really good, will be back.

This pub/tap can probably provide just what you need at different times of the day. Cracking ale from the onsite brewery, lazy afternoons, late nights, just enjoy.

Popped in on a Monday afternoon, so obviously not in full swing. However, you can see the potential for a great night. Food looks good, the brewery aspect is all on show, range of comfortable seating and an attractive interior. Nicely done.

This is a great pub for a night out but the only reason why I’ve given 3 stars is they need to get the bar staff sorted. I waited on average 20 minutes at the bar waiting for a drink. You get ignored if they know the person next to you even when you have been there a lot longer.

Went in with my bother to get a drink before my train. Two what I assume are friends pushing each other into us. We ask them to stop, then turn their attention to us, we go to leave guy follows us outside swings on us 5 times (bouncer tries to control but still allowed 5 punches to be thrown) He’s trying to start on us we’re trying to walk away, not good, felt like the bouncers knew the guy and wanted us to go rather than him. Peterborough as a whole has gone to the absolute scrap heap, the people, the bars and the atmosphere is just nowhere anyone in their right mind would want to be. I hate to think that the city of my birth has gone to this. Disgrace.

We had the Set Menu C. The food was like warm at best. One course we had to send back because it was actually cold. Two of our party of four have been ill today. It used to be really good in there so not sure what’s going wrong now.

Absolutely amazing food, we were a little disappointed that it wasn't table service, however this didn't take it away from the food, staff were really friendly.

Put the order through about an hour before it was required and requested an approximate delivery time. It seemed that the courier was at the restaurant for a very long time before being able to pick up the food - although cannot be sure if the courier just went offline or if indeed they were waiting for the order at the restaurant. Don't know but when the food finally arrived - it was barely warm and soggy. £33 wasted and no customer service number to ring to query anything. Won't bother ord

Eat here regularly. I love the food and the staff are great. It's not as clean as it could be but I will continue to visit.

Excellent meal last night. Really good value for money, fresh and a great taste. We had a table of 4 which was a lot of food with Starters, Mains and sides but it all arrived at the same time piping hot and well presented. Good selection of Ales and excellent service too 🙂

I really enjoyed the food here. We were a group & ordered shared vegetarian platters & the selection looked so good & tasted even better. For the main I had sweet & sour veg with egg fried rice which I also enjoyed. The atmosphere had little to do with the place itself & more to do with some of the guests which is the reason why I've only given 3 stars!

I’ve not had food from The Brewery Tap in years, the food is as good as I remember. Hot when it arrived and on time.

Very disappointed . We ordered and paid for drinks and food at the bar for our 7.30 reservation for 6 people at 9 pm had drinks but no food. When we asked told by waiter oh has gone through now. Meaning we had sat for 1 hour+ before the kitchen got our order. Some of the starters were stone cold. Worryingly pork ribs so we could not eat them. Waiyer when eventually cleared our table offered to return them to the kitchen to heat them ? Not a sorry nor an apology for the delay or cold food. Main courses were nice but evening was ruined by then. We ordered more drinks asked to pay before they were given to . No gesture of apology reduction for inedible starters. Will not visit again. Staff need customer service training. Too busy folding napkins to realise customers were waiting for food that the kitchen knew nothing about. !!

Assorted appetiser Bang bang prawns Pork pad Thai Mixed vegetables in oyster sauce ◦ Pancake rolls weren’t crispy ◦ Dry prawns in a bland coating. ◦ Unseasoned chicken wings, ◦ Chewy pork in the Pad Thai, like very chewy and not nice at all. ◦ Cabbage in the vegetable dish was like school dinner cabbage -Wet and stringy Positives ◦ Friendly staff ◦ Ready on time for collection ◦ Flavour of pad Thai was ok This is all very surprising because, I’ve had takeaway from here several times and it’s always been fine.

Brewery tap is consistently in the top three restaurants in Peterborough for the last 17 years. Friendly staff, comfortable, spacious and good setting. Great selection of food and drink - food is fantastic every visit. Our go to restaurant for couples and family.

We were a group of 7 looking to grab a bite to eat and waste an hour or so. We ordered drinks and then a large selection of starters from the menu as we wanted an informal lunch to just have picky food on the table. The food came out quickly and tasted great. Everyone was polite and the drinks also good. The prices are also very reasonable. We will definitely be returning.

Here, at their Peterborough "outlet", you can get a variety of their ales on tap - though not as many as one would wish (5 or 6 taps I saw). Also, other pubs sometimes offer Oakham beers at lower prices - what's the deal with that? Anyway, seating is plentiful and comfortable inside, while the outside seating area is fairly basic. I found the service to be generally friendly and efficient, and the food (Thai!) is good and not too expensive. There's a happy hour on food, too. So, The Brewery Tap is a pretty and good pub overall, but to this cask ale lover it's not everything it could be.
