Siempre vienen aquí después de un yoga para un viento bebida en días laborables. Nunca ha sido durante el fin de semana, así que no puedo decir cómo ocupado posible. Sin embargo, no - que era angostura and bitters" que abar un poco triste de que podía correr.

He estado aquí un puñado de veces, y cada vez ha sido una gran noche, el personal de los hombres al personal del bar puerta es muy atento y amable. Recientemente nos asignan una mesa abundante y el ambiente era un entorno cómodo y animado. Los cócteles son mi favorito y con el happy hour los jueves - esta una verdadera joya en medio de Covent Garden.

I just happened to google happy hour as my mum and her friend were down to visit me in London for her birthday. I looked on the website and someone popped up called ‘Emma’ to ask if I needed any help on the site. She booked me in for a half an hour slot as we had dinner reservations soon after, but still wanted to grab a quick drink. We were greeted by some very smiley guys who not only explained every happy hour drink to us, but gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly as it was my mums birthday. They really went out of their way to make sure we had a good time, even if it was only for a short time. I wish we could have stayed for the Happy hour £3 pizzas, because they looked lush and who wouldn’t?! The atmosphere was amazing and I told all of my work colleagues about it, so we will be visiting again very soon! This really is a hidden gem in covent garden, and i couldn't recommend it enough! Thank your team for being so welcoming. It definitely now my favourite bar in London.

I booked this for my birthday and so was easy. They gave me a really good deal with an area. I was not disappointed. There were 2 bars that had different music which meant me and my friends danced the night away. We had a fab time!

If you want a great night out in Covent garden, this is the place to go! I can't praise the place enough. I went for a night out with friends and needless to say we had THE BEST NIGHT! The staff are awesome, the cocktails are amazing and the venue is super cool with great music! Will definitely be coming back in the near future! What a find! *****

Booked a friends birthday party and here & it was great fun. Helping sales people tailored our needs, the waitress was great, bartenders we’re cool & the DJ was top. Recommend this place is your looking for somewhere different

I come here about once a month, came this weekend and the vibe has changed, the music was not great, shame but bar staff are always on point and friendly

The food at this bar was so so so bad. We went for my work’s Christmas party and had a 2 course meal. My colleagues burgers were stone cold and all food was served 15-20 minutes after the person next to us so people on our tables had finished their meals before some of us had ours. The salad was dry and stale and the vegetarian pasta had meatballs in and was served cold. When we gave the dish back to the staff and explained that the vegetarian dish had meatballs in, they came back out of the kitchen and gave us the same dish and told us it was definitely vegetarian but my colleague tried some (incase they were veggie meatballs) and it was meat so sent it back again. When we finally got the food there was 1/3 of the sauce that was previously on the plate so I think they just took the meatballs out and re-served the same dishes to us with stone cold pasta. I refused to eat it and paid for some fries, so at least I had something to eat, but they were terribly over salted so had to drink water for an hour afterwards. I didn’t really want to give the bar any stars, but the 1 star is for the lady who served us who was very helpful and clearly trying to do her best with the terrible food she was given. Worst meal I have ever been served. 100% will never be going here again.

Visited Foundation for a works Christmas party. Waited a long time for food to be served despite having been pre-ordered. The staff insisted that the vegan option I had selected was appropriate - despite having chicken in it. 2/3 courses served were not what I had ordered. Cava was provided instead of Prosecco. The staff were impatient, rude and inattentive. Squeezed into a tiny corridor where staff could not serve food to individuals but passed down the tables. Would not recommend.

My girlfriend booked a table here for her birthday drinks and put down a deposit to secure the table and when we arrived we were told that it was half price drinks and that the deposit would go towards the tab, so we ordered a few bottles of prosecco. I loathe to give bad reviews but Foundation Bar is where customer services goes to die - the service here was terrible. The glasses were dirty and the staff were dismissive and distracted, often chatting away with one another. When I asked about food earlier in the night they said that the food is to be ordered at the bar, which was fine so when my other companions arrived they went to the bar to order some food; but was then curiously told that the kitchen was not open tonight because they were “too busy”. Things just got worse when we went to pay the bill. It seemed a little expensive so we asked them to make sure that the deposit had been applied to the bill and the half price discount on drinks as they had told us it would be. I can understand that if it is half price during a specific time period and is counted on when the item was paid as opposed to when the item was put through the till that is fine, but this wasn’t communicated to us before hand. The staff also became very agitated and a little intimidating to be honest when we questioned the bill and asked for an itemised receipt and refused to discuss it in a professional manner or explain to us what had happened. To prevent the situation from escalating as it was upsetting my girlfriend, I just paid the bill. Frankly, I’m appalled by the service and the attitude of the staff here and would avoid this place. Intimidating behaviour is not okay in any context and it’s a shame that it had to tarnish a birthday celebration.

Foundation was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. It all went smoothly, from enquiring, arranging my night with Savina (who was excellent) and having the party itself. The packages are amazing value and we were all very well looked after.

My friend has his birthday do here and ended being the victim of homophobic hate crime and another friend got assaulted by a group of people who had gotten thrown out of the bar for another issue. When I requested they call the police, they fobbed me off for 45 mins telling me they had called them. I ended up calling them and when the police arrived they told me my call was the first they had. Don't go here if you want to be supported if you have any issues. Homophobic and will let a woman be assaulted whilst lying about calling the police. Stay far away!!

Tenía una gran noche con la familia. Cuñada tenía una gran noche. El equipo Bar Foundation eran absolutamente genial un cuidado las bebidas que fluye. Teníamos los mejores asientos alrededor del árbol pequeño y fue perfecto para nuestra gente! !

Una gran noche en bases para un cumpleaños de amigos. Alrededor de 30 de nosotros en una habitación al lado. Bebidas no es barato, pero no es un timo, dado que es Londres. Hay mucho personal en el bar, así que no hay ninguna cola aunque el club estaba lleno. Buena música toda la noche con una pista de baile para aquellos con habilidades o energía. Wifi gratuito onoffer si pide contraseña pero no hay señal de teléfono ya que está en un sótano.

Excelente servicio, personal y es muy fácil reservar una mesa (depósito de £25 por adelantado y utilizada contra las bebidas).

Great venue to celebrate a birthday. Music was off the charts and very busy with a range of age groups. Love the fact the drinks are in jam jars - like love love love that idea. I would definitely come back to the bar to party and have drinks again.

I was here last night for my work Christmas party and honestly I wish I had stayed at home.The barmaid was incredibly slow, the blonde waitress with glasses was unbelievably rude and seemed to be in an eternal bad mood,the food itself was so over salted I had to drink two pints of water afterwards and the dj was woeful, a person plugging in a play list on their phone would have done a better job!I feel as if I've wasted both my time and my hard earned money and I will definitely not be returning or recommending it

So, the good points - it's in Covent Garden and the pizzas are very good.Negatively, it's like drinking in an enclosed car park in some areas. Other areas to be fair are better but accommodates large bookings. Therefore, it's quite popular with large crowds and then the younger set.

I just wrote a poor review on this place and forgot to add once they have your money they clearly don't care about customer service. I emailed the person I made the booking with (about a week ago) about my dissatisfaction and she's yet to even reply with an acknowledgment.That's very poor customer service.

Booked a few of us for dinner in advance when we turned up the two door men would not allow us to enter. Stated 50% male/female mix only even though booked a stag do and even spoke to them on the phone about it that day. All well mannered as only 7:30pm! Only offered 50% of the deposit paid. Took a 15 minute wait/protest to get 100% of deposit back! Want a good meal in London? Don't risk booking this place you may not get in and you'll get attitude from two power hungry mutants!

Lauren was really helpful with setting up a table and drinks/food for quite a large party. The booth we had was great, really cool design and interiors in foundation bar and the music all night was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Was able to call up on the day and have Lauren reserve a good table for 6 for a birthday party. There are enough special deals to get very good value for money any day, and I found the double tab and happy hour very affordable. The drinks were great, and the cocktails were excellent even though I don't usually drink them. Even for a last minute booking, we got a fantastic spot near the bar and there are plenty of staff to see to your needs. I used to come here in my 20s when it was a different owner company, now I'm 34, and it's better than ever.

I've brought both my mum and best friend here when they were up from Devon to stay with me - I always have a great time. Love the cocktails - there's such a range and you can't go wrong with their 2-4-1 deals. Staff are great - when I brought my friend the booth we had reserved was in a tricky spot where we had to shimmy past a massive group of people and with drinks it wasn't the easiest but the bar staff kindly brought our drinks over and made sure we were happy. My mum and best mate are big fans!

12 of us went for a 'hen' do. It was booked but the doormen had no record of the booking so kept us outside in the cold and called a manager to sort for us. Manager had no record either but let us in regardless, thankfully! Glass collector decided to not just collect empties but took drinks too! We still had fun though but I would not go there again.

Great deals happy hour between 5-7 on a Sunday 50% off. Manhattan is a very nice whiskey based cocktail they have. It's a unique place where j would return again. However, I wish there were a larger range of whiskey based cocktails to choose from.

Customer service is awful. Arrived at the venue after booking a table with Sarah and was turned away. Rude staff. Never returning.

My night at foundation bar was absolutely awesome and I totally loved it! Thank you so much for hosting me and my friends for my birthday! Literally from the name tag on the table to the little platter to the amazing jelly bean cocktails it was awesome! We will definitely be back again! I must also say that the communication between staff towards the lead up to my party was great especially from Sarah Griffins and Lauren Brown! my friends and i regularly go here on a friday night after work, the happy hour is decent value and the food is pretty good. They can be a little vigilant on the door about 50:50 gender ratio but that's not the end of the world!

So not only was the service slow and disorganised (table service or not- just tell us!), and the majority of the door staff (but not all!) talking to you as if you would be lucky to live on their shoe, we had to leave the club this evening at 12.15am as there was a major sewage leak which prevented anyone leaving via the main entrance/ exit. Night cut very short (with no refund on the price paid to reserve an area or entrance fee!) with a an unceremonious exit through the fire escape.

i'd chosen this place as it was very close to the Hub, where we stayed and it had a great Happy Hour ! We arrived at 5.30 (we'd made a reservation) and I couldn't fault any of the staff, including the guy at the Door !! We'd drunk lots of beer and Prosseco and the price, for London, was reasonable.. we were 3 couples in our 40's.. we had such a good time we returned after we'd gone out for something to eat.. the doorman happily let us in.! we will return and I would recommend.

Booked a booth for a works party and had a great night. The music was good and will soon getyou up and dancing...it was either that or the lovely cocktails they have on offer. Staff friendly and helpful and would recommned a visit and like me you may stay longer than expected or come back again for more.

As seems to be the consensus from other reviewers, I would recommend avoiding this place based on the imbecile they have on the door who feels he has a sense of entitlement. We arrived at 7pm to be told to take a walk for 20 minutes before letting us in, as if we were behaving like a stag party in benidorm. Unfortunately had to go back as it was for a leaving party, and at least the imbecile was too busy looking at photos on his phone to bother us again. Once inside the bar staff were friendly at least, but at best this place is a mediocre tourist trap. Avoid.

whilst the venue may be great but the staff that work there is awful ... We got there at 9pm! Just started the party at 11.30ish a few of us went for ciggie , as we return my friend was told that she was too drunk to be let in .. But they let her in the second time! And again we went for another cigarette break I was told that I can't go in because I was too drunk ! He told me to wait , waited and I went again with my friend, the bouncer said as per the general manager I can't go in! At the end my friend who has booked her party there had to leave and move the entire party else where. Funny thing was a guy from the bar came to speak to us, and said its as per the general manager , whom apparently stood next to him but had no courtesy to acknowledge her stand! Weird door policy ! Telling random people that's goes out for ciggie can't be let in when the entire dance floor was filled with drunk people and more new drunks from outside the bar were let in but the ones from inside were told to leave !! Will never go this place again! I feel sorry for my friend as I recommended this place initially to her .. clearly .. this bar is not worth recommending to anyone ... !!!

As someone who’s visited their fair share of nightclubs around the world, it’s with a degree of certainty I can say this is the WORST bar (with visions of being a Nightclub) I’ve ever been to.Queued up outside whilst door staff ensured everyone had ID…never a good sign. A few of us didn’t who were all in our early 30s. Door staff made a big song and dance before finally agreeing to let us in. Hilarious.Inside the sound was ridiculously loud. Louder than a main room super club or dance tent. Simply outrageous. Also lacking a quieter room where you can speak in like most bars/nightclubs. Drinks were also hugely overpriced, even for a London club with a limited range of anything other than beer.Central London is a hugely competitive area and it’s clear there’s a lot of other places which are preferable to Foundation. Don’t waste your time or money.

I brought some visiting friends here as it was happy hour until 7.30 - a great plus! The cocktails are quirky and are generally sweet themed which I enjoyed!Having visited on a weekday evening it was quiet but I still found the service slow. If several people are waiting at the bar does it make sense to only have one bartender?

The venue is lovely and the music is great... Happy hour 2 for 1 on Thursday but the kitchen close very early. Ordered food and never received and after 1 hour when we asked were our food was we have been informed that the kitchen was already close and the waiter who took the order forgot to tell us.

I have been to this venue on more than one occasion and every time I enter I get told by the doorman guys look at the cameras they are everywhere and than he gives us a stern look. I thought maybe it's a one off until it happened every time. I kindly asked the bouncer why do you always say that to us and not anyone else. His reply was I know what you guys are like. We have been there 2 ot 3 times, but every time we like it more. Definitely will keep going there, when we are in Covent garden area. The interior is interesting, so in not so busy night you can sit and enjoy ant try different cocktails with friends. We have been there on Thursday, even then there was a DJ and the music was good ( a lot of dancing people).The main thing we going there are the cocktails !!! Perfect! Different ( not like most of places just a few types, to have any) . These are delicious. It was February 241 so, we managed to have even more, and try almost everything.Yep, and the stuff is nice. No rude bouncers ever met there ( bad experience from other places).

Organised my christmas party there in Dec. Great venue and everyone was so helpful especially Emma Carney who was on hand to help me deal with all the stress of a big party. Recommend going here for cocktails after work, a night out or holding a work party.

We visited foundation last night for a friends 30th and although the prices are high, over ten pounds for a double, the service was amazing! Our waiter, Leo, was brilliant! Although very busy he was always very attentive to our party and served us all night with a smile. The music was fine, a bit loud and tinny at times. Would recommend a night like this to anyone who was looking for a more private dining/ party night.

The manager was a complete misogyniste, not only did I get ignored whilst waiting at the bar for 30 minutes he then addressed me as love, it was completely patronising behaviour . I had explained that I had been annoyed because not only had I been waiting at the bar for 30 min but had been pushed vigorously out of the way by a group of men ( so vigorously I have bruising and was shaking) even tho the manger saw this happened still ignored the fact it happened then eventually told me it was not his fault for the wait ?? Gave me some cock and ball story about there was only being two members of staff in that area !! Your a cocktail bar that has a certain capacity you know your cliental why wasn't your bar prepared for this ?? That's not my fault if you can't get drinks out quick enough maybe foundation need to re think there cocktail menu or get better staff that are trained !! In all honestly it was a complete shambles eventually the manager gave me a free drink but was reluctant to do so and the drink was slung at me to basically shut me up, in this case an honest apology would have been better and acknowledgement that I was shaken up by the whole getting pushed around by big burly men !! All in all it ruined my night and my friends (there was 25 of us ) and we all left swiftly and I went home ! My advise would be to avoid this place at all cost!

I went here for my birthday on a Saturday with a few friends. I booked out a table in the back and having been before didn't realise how big it actually was. The music was house music and there were DJ's there.The prices for drinks was quite expensive but the cocktails were good. We arrived just in time for 30 minutes of happy hour which was good as it was 241 on cocktails and other drinks. They bring some of the drinks in different style of glass, whether that be a jam jar or a teapot.It is also quite a good place to chill on a weekday evening although it is usually a little loud for just a chat.

After going for a meal with my friends, we was looking for a nice bar with some music. We had been recommended Foundation Bar so thought we would give it go. The drinks were standard London prices however were served in Jam Jars and Tea Pots which we all loved! My Strawberry Margarita even came with sugar strands around the top. Atmosphere was really good however we felt that the music was a bit random...But I suppose there was something for everyone!

I've been a fan of Foundation for around 12 years, since the days it was called The Langley.Great cocktails, good wine selection, decent beers available and a fantastic cocktail hour(s) which makes the place buzzing.Trendy interior, some good tunes and a interestingly cool crowd make this place one of my favourites. Although my husband wasn't too impressed with the jam jar glasses - ha ha.

Brilliant!! we liked the food, service, how the tables are layer out and the choice of rooms to go in.

All i will say is dont step one foot inside this dive if you are looking for a classy intimate night out... Terrible staff, terrible clientele.... Service horrific... Drinks taste awful and are way over priced.... Avoid at all costs..... Dont waste your money when there are so many other lovely bars in Covent Garden.... YUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been to Foundation Bar on many occasions, every time has been a great time. There is always a great staff, always friendly and attentive. Prices for cocktail are pretty much the same as in any cocktail bar in London, they have a really nice choice of authentic and quirky cocktails. It's hard not to fall in love with this stylish bar and their happy hour when for nearly two hours everything's half price regarding drinks. Didn't order food but their platters look amazing. Weekends are always busy so if you want a table it's better if you book in advance. They have great Dj's which give a really good atmosphere to this kind of american cocktail bar. You are guaranteed to have a fantastic night there as me and my friends always do.

If I had something positive to say, it would be that the greeting at the door was mediocre. Came here for a friend's 21st bday about two weeks ago. While intimately lit and an interesting decor of a cavernous kind, that is about where the fun stopped. Sticky menu's , never a great sign, but I 've seen much worse, less than attentive staff, I understand that it's a Friday, but if one pays for a table, one expects a bit more than a glance over. But what really did it for me was how utterly rude the bar staff were. Not only was I rushed in ordering, and looked over like a complete idiot, but the utter abusiveness of the curly moustached French-sounding bartender was so off putting, I actually turned to a complete stranger who was just as amazed and put off from ordering as I was. Drinks were mediocre in taste, while some staff knowing what a Pornstar martini is, others would look at me and my merry band of cocktail enthusiasts like I was attempting to concoct out of a provocative Ian Fleming novel. So utterly disappointed and most definetly will not be returning. Food was served cold when ordered and not one thing was done to rectify this problem when mentioned. Utterly utterly disappointed and would recommend any party to turn elsewhere, unless of course the enjoy high blood pressure fuelled ordering and wasting money...to which I would probably advise them to skydive while combusting Queens heads in their hands. Had an office party in the Diner area and it was a great night. The drinks were unusual and the service and food was brilliant. My staff were raving about it the following week.

Didn't live up to expectations at all. All in all, a typical pretentious London bar - hugely over priced drinks, uninspiring music, arrogant staff. Wouldn't recommend.

Ordered a teapot for 3 which cost approx £25, and barely filled 2 of the glasses we were given. Not somewhere you could spend entire night out as the prices are a joke for the quantity you are served. Do not go here unless you've had plenty to drink before hand or you are prepared to spend a small fortune.

Bouncers were very rude to our party. Booked a table for 16 were told to move for 3. Pushed past girls.... Very rude !

I booked a table here for the advertised valentines menu. Received confirmation email so thought all was fine until I arrived for my booking to find that they'd messed up the booking and had no tables left, eventually after seeing my confirmation email and accepting that it was their fault they managed to find us a table but it was in a really loud area of the bar (literally to loud to hear another person talking) and with a large drunk group sat next to us. Waited 25 mins no one came to take an order, also stood at bar (which wasn't very busy) for 20 mins still no service so we just left and went to a thai square restraunt round the corner which was much nicer. Won't be going back to foundation bar again and would not reccomended it to anyone, there are much nicer, quirkier and more interesting bars in London.

We came here as a group of 10 for a leaving drinks .... What a fabulously cool place! Amazing place for the most delicious cocktails and a great bar menu. Superb food ... Especially the home made tortillas!

We organised a team night out and reserved a private area of the bar. The staff were extremely helpful and although busy handled our large party with ease. We were never without drinks and the food arrived very quickly and was enjoyed by all, plus we arrived just in time for happy hour! The bar is in a great location, just by Covent Garden tube and I would definitely recommend to others wanting somewhere lively yet quirky to go in central London.

Organised our work xmas party here and we had a great time. Everything was organised well in advanced and any issues on the night were quickly dealt with by attentive staff.The food was good and the club afterwards had a very friendly vibe. Drinks during happy hour were cheap so do get here early :)

I visited this bar this newyear (31-12-2013). We had called the bar in advance, as I (as part of our group had special dietary requirement). They were very friendly and helpful, and without hesitation offered a seperate starter and main course. I was offered a spicy tomato soup with some bread as an alternative starter, and then a cheese and tomato pizza with mozarella, pesto, peppers and paprika. The lady that served us was very friendly throughout the entire evening, and we did not have to wait for drinks or foodWe had to pay 25£ entry fee, including a 3 course meal. Knowing it was central london on new years eve, and I had asked for a non-standard menu, I had no high expectations for this price. I was however very pleasantly surprised. The tomato soup was really tasty (although a bit to spicy to my liking, but that is ofcourse personal preferance) and served with some bread. A bit later I was presented with my pizza, which was one of the best I ever ate. It was a giant square pizza, richly topped and very tasty. After that followed an amazing browny with ice dessert. All in all a perfect dinner (accompanied by a belgian beer vedett (which was on the slightly expensive side, but coming from belgium, the average beer price is overall lower here). I would recommend this bar to anyone for an amazing newyears or for a normal dinner every other day of the year.

ADVICE- Take your custom to the many other bars in CoventGarden!Booked New Years Eve tickets via website, only to find I could have called and paid less. When questioned I was told tickets non refundable - clearly Foundation need to grab whatever they can get!The bar itself is quite cool and quirky; but bar staff took an age to make 2 simple drinks! Not good.Tickets stated you had to be in by 10pm - by 10.30pm the place was still largely empty. We left! Glad we found a more exciting venue elsewhere to see our New Year in. Thanks for nothing!

We had our company Christmas drinks in Foundation bar last night; we reserved an area, there were around 30 of us and we spent close to £2,000. On paying the tab, the waitress treated me in a way that was completely unacceptable. She refused to serve us whilst the tab was being paid, and topped up, proceeded to shout at me, snatch the menu from my hand, and threw it behind the till so I wasn't able to order. She swore at me, shot me a filthy look and proceeded to ignore us completely. I have never been treated so badly by a member of staff - disgraceful. Would recommend not going - and especially not going, spending £2000 only to be treated like dirt.

This place should stop serving food and concentrate on being a bar . This was probably the worst meal I have ever had anywhere ever . Service was friendly but dreadful everything was expensive . The whole experience was so bad it was hilarious . Filthy stained menus at the start should have told is to just walk out despite the booking

We booked Foundation for our work Christmas do & were very satisfied. All the way from initial contact, pre-booking the menu choices & the inevitable last minute changes they were very friendly & efficient. The venue itself is great for drinking, with a lively mix of music. The table the 18 of us were at was just round the corner from the main bar so we could still feel the atmosphere but were able to have conversations as well. Everyone was really pleased with the food & much drink was taken (though the drinks seemed a little expensive even considering the area). The staff were attentive throughout & it felt like a real personal experience

Recently headed to Foundation for my girlfriends 21st, great venue! We were visiting on on a Saturday night and there was a fantastic atmosphere in the venue!We booked in advanced and had a reserved area known as the secret garden with its quirky setting with a tree showering you in lights!Music policy was spot on for a Saturday night and the service was great, would highly recommend for your next night out, however i would suggest booking in advance was it did get very busy!

The venue itself is really cool, lots of different areas, different spaces to sit, space to dance, and good music as well (quite an eclectic mix, but all well chosen). When you go to a bar/club the most important things are the venue and the music, which I have to give top marks for.Drinks though...Only bottled beer, no draught (shame, but each to their own), but what really grated were the teapots. £30 for a teapot for "4 people". The 4 jars (too cool to have glasses) were full of ice, and still the contents of the teapot couldnt fill the ice-packed jars even half full. 1 sip and they were finished. Go for the £9 cocktails and at least you know what you're getting.

One of the best parties I've ever had! Excellent venue, brilliant and friendly staff (especially creative bar staff that kept me entertained with awesome choice of fruit coctails!), really tasty food and awesome DJ! I cannot recommend this place enough so definitely coming back :)

Booked tables for over 20 for a birthday for 7.30pm. Excellent customer service on the phone, shame about on the night. Some of the party were 10 min late but hadn't ordered a starter and we were on 3 different tables so shouldn't have been an issue.Main meal came out at 9pm by which time another group were waiting for the table, We hadn't been told we had to move early. Not only were we hassled by staff to finish our meal asap(and told it was our fault) but the group coming in were told which tables they were on and that we were holding them up, we were then glared at for the whole of our meal. We were asked to take deserts and eat them on the dance floor, really?!!! The group waiting for the table by this time were standing over our tables while some were trying to eat and others still hadn't been served. Nothing was done about this and the waiting staff were just rude,unhelpful and unprofessional, orders were incorrect despite being pre ordered. Emily the supervisor was at least pleasant understanding but still did nothing about the situation, no discount for a ruined night!! Spent over £800 that night and we would have had better service(and in some cases, food) at Mcdonalds. By all means go to this as a nightclub but don't make the mistake of trying to eat here. Offered £25 vouchers as compensation after email complaint!!!wow really? half party left at 10pm disgusted!!None of us would ever go back not even for a free drink.Absolutely NO sign of the manager even though we asked to see him many times, did not have the courtesy to show his face.

The venue is quite cool and has lots of little nook and cranny type seating areas. There was a good crowd and it seems like trendy place. The beers were quite pricey and there was no draught, only bottles.

I booked a Mad Hatter birthday package for 8 on Sat, and I couldn't have been more happy. The venue is absolutely amazing, split into different rooms/areas with unique decor. We loved the lego table. We booked for 7.30 and found the place to be pleasantly full, the music really easy listening and were directed to our table with no trouble and pleasant service.I'd read the confirmation email that had told us the seating area could only seat 1/3 of the party (actually 6 out of the 8) so we were prepared for that, and we simply nabbed a few extra nearby chairs to squeeze round. It was busy, but the service wasn't that slow really, and we were more than pleased with the package. The waitress missed out the champagne, but was quick to retrieve it when we asked, and was apologetic. We ended up ordering some food for those of us that were peckish, and found it to be surprisingly good. I had the lamb, and it was succulent and tasteful with gorgeously smooth mash. Not very expensive either, considering the location! Same goes for the cocktails. Decent prices and they were both delicious and inventive. I honestly wish we'd stayed there for longer instead of moving on to the next venue. Good music, good crowd, good food, good drinks and a good experience. What more could you want?

I arranged my birthday party at this bar. I had booked a table for 10 people, 4 weeks in advance. I had confirmed and spoken to the the team several times in the week preceding the party. On arrival (at 8pm) I had been allocated a bench which sat a maximum of 4 people. I had paid £50 for the foundation package and did not receive several items that were promised on the website. After complaining that the majority of my party had nowhere to sit, we were moved to another table which lacked any seats. We were told to order food and they would bring seating. After several reminders and 3 hours later there was no seating available. My group had to split and eat separately whilst standing.I have never been compelled to write a review before, but this was truly a terrible experience and I would warn against any others booking an event here.

Went for early evening cocktails and food during happy hour.Positives: Cocktails good, food not brilliant but plenty of it, helpful bar staff. Negatives: Reserved bar area seating but put in club instead. Made no difference cause they were both just as noisy. DJ was already playing, the style where every song is remixed with the same dance beat (even though it was 6pm and no one was dancing). I had assumed the club style would start later in the evening and it was not what we went there for. Nothing unique about the place, despite having read that comment in a previous review.Just not my sort of place, I guess. Give me Barrio Central instead.

I was at Foundation Bar for my birthday party and me and my guests had an amazing time , Emely the waitress looked after us providing an excellent customer service. They serve big portions for dinner and the ribs are yummy, the music is great, we were all eating fast so we could go to the dance floor, the security make sure that you are having a good time without being disturbed by drunk people spilling drinks all over the partygoers. I am definitely coming back.

Foundation Bar was my venue of choice to throw a Halloween party this year and guests were not disappointed. Jordan, one of the events directors, provided amazing customer service during the planning process and every single one of my guests enjoyed an incredible night out in a unique venue with an amazing atmosphere. All our pre-orders were there on arrival and we had such fun we can't wait to go back again! I would throughly recommend this venue - it's the best fun you'll ever have underground!

Some work collegues and I went to Foundation Bar on Friday night for Halloween and had a fantastic time.Jordan McLeod was my contact there and he arranged a table for when we arrived. We pre-ordered some drinks before we came and they were there on arrival which meant we could get the party started straight away. The music was awesome, good crowd and great atmosphere. We partied well on into the night and will definately be returning.Thank you.

I was very impressed by The Foundation Bar's team customer care, efficiency and level of professionalism without compromising on great atmosphere.My friends and I were at the venue last Saturday for a birthday party and I must say, there was not a single aspect I could complain about. From the moment we entered the bar, throughout the evening of fun, until we left, every single staff member, including security team (which is not a common thing in London) was courteous, attentive and friendly.Especially I would like to thank and congratulate the bar staff (we mainly spend the evening in the 'DJ' room) who were very efficient, smiley, managed all orders extremely well and they all looked like they had fun and enjoyed working there, though they were extremely busy.All in all, my friends and I had a great night and I will be definitely recommending your bar- London has a lot of places to offer but still, remarkable customer service in bars and clubs is a rare commodity and The Foundation Bar exceeded my expectations.

Firstly - 2-4-1 wristband offers on their website no longer exist by the way but they've left it on there just to entice you I guess.I paid £25 to reserve an area for 8 people. I arrived to only 4 chairs and was advised that 'because they aren't a restaurant they can't guarantee me seats' - so I paid £25 for what exactly then?It's in no way an upmarket or exclusive bar to warrant a £25 charge - they do however through in 'complimentary nachos and a platter' though - this is their generosity of course, not from the £25 you pay! hmmmmService is pretty poor. I emailed a complaint, politely and calmly worded and was contacted by someone who quite frankly didn't help matters and rather than just simply apologising properly for such a rubbish night / poor service from start to end, she tried to question and quizz me on my experience.I wasn't surprised that there are other bad reviews on here, but I'll let you decided if you want to chance it!I wouldn't reccommend this plave and certainly won't go back.

Foundation is a huge space, with a couple of bars and several large booths/areas, which makes it perfect for large groups. If you go early you can use areas that are reserved later on in the night and benefit from happy hour which ends at half 7. Bar service was pretty slow, even when it wasn't busy. My main gripe was the difference between what the menu suggests your cocktail will be and what it actually is. A pot of 'tea' cocktail, with mugs and party rings, was a small, half-full, chipped old tea pot, with glasses and two 'Nice' biscuits. The french fancies for another cocktail were also cheap plain Nice biscuits. I thought they might have ran out on the night, however I can see from the review below that this is a common occurrence. Music was good, remixes of chart songs, and plenty of space to dance.

If you dont want to be pushed and bullied by the secuirty in the bar then please visit some other place. Security guys in the bar are extremely aggressive and intimidating and they push you on purpose to just to intimidate you. I was there in the bar for a leaving do with my friends and I was pushed by one of the security guys and when I asked him to please stop pushing he tried to throw me out of the bar. If you are planning for a corporate event or dont want to be humiliated then please go somewhere else!

We had a great night at Foundation, all the staff met our requirements.Everything was set-up perfectly on the table! The space was exactly the space we wanted, perfect for our social!The only minor issue we had was that it would have been nice if the waiter knew the type of food he was serving, think he confused a dish with another and people were a little confused.Overall a fabulous night!Thank-you Foundation!

Nice night. As quirky as the venue is the music and crowd are pretty mainstream. Could do with a few more staff- had to wait around a bit for our orders, ok if it's a drink- less so when it's condiments to go with your food. Staff polite and friendly though. We definitely made use of their happy hour, which is 5-7:30pm everyday. Oh and the ribs were scrumptious!

Great venue!! We did not eat here though, we went to a "Trevor Nelson collection party" here, and the atmosphere was amazing. Such an awesome place, really intimate, yet cool. Pear and Cinnamon Mojitos are yummy, and prices reasonable at about £9 per cocktail. The staff were really friendly and service quick. Danced the night away til 0330!!Would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

In fairness the prices at Foundation are good once you finally get served.Having been called by a sales rep offering a table for my birthday, I rallied some people together for a evening of drinks. Received a call in the morning to say the table was given to a someone who paid to book.so I now have 12 people and nowhere to sit....thanks! Despite this we still went along, finally managed to get the free drinks that we'd been promised but not without talking to three members of particularly unhelpful staff. Service at the bar was VERY slow. Every table was reserved so absolutely nowhere to set your drink down or to put food anywhere. We were all really disappointed. This venue was considerably better when it was The Langley. I'm afraid to say, there are many more venues with better energy and better management in Coventry Garden.

Had several cocktails here throughout the evening, managed to catch happy hour so very Happy !!! Very trendy and hip !!

I booked a table with Lauren for my birthday in July, for which she promised the guys at Foundation would look after me - she wasn't lying! My table was amazing and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you so much to Lauren and everyone there, I had a brilliant time - I wasn't expecting them to have done quite so much and I was really happy. Not only was the bar itself great, the food was nice and the drinks were amazing - I think I tried half the menu! I'm still finding heart confetti in my jeans I think, which is always nice. Thank you Foundation!

We went for our staff summer party. Organisation couldnt have been easier with the help of Samantha! When we arrived everything was set up perfectly and we were greeted by and looked after all night by our brilliant host Emily!all the staff were incredibly welcoming and so friendly. Great food! every one was very very happy with the whole night. Would definitely/will definitely return and recommend to anyone wanting to organise an event at foundaiton bar

Booked a space for 80 people for my boss's leaving drinks.......... 2 for 1 on all drinks until 7.30pm with 2 free platters included. They have a DJ all night long and our party ended up leaving there around 12.30am. Good night had by all - the bar staff very efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was good. Only thing is a little bit dark for a nice summer's evening but if going a bit later its perfect.

I organised birthday drinks with a group of friends at Foundation. Lauren was friendly, responsive, very helpful with the booking process. Fun music and good atmosphere on the night. Platters that came with the booking were a bonus, but unfortunately arrived before I did (some friends arrived early, I made the booking for 7pm and arrived at that time so would have expected the food at 7, not an hour early). I then had to order another platter as I was hungry, which took an hour and a half to arrive, but was v nice when it did. Food & drinks were all very good and half price until 7:30.

Hey Guys,Just a quick review on Foundation Bar where both me and my partner celebrated our birthdays.I used the website directly to make the booking and was then called the next day by someone from the team (Lauren). I told her exactly what I wanted and she advised me accordingly. On booking an area I had to pay a nominal fee which booked the area and also a couple of sharing platters.On arrival I was welcomed in and shown to the area. The area was brilliant, it was close to the dance floor and the bar. About 30 people attended and there was plenty of space for everyone. As it was enclosed everyone could talk without screaming over each other.The drinks weren't as pricy as I thought they would be and came in cool glasses.The food we had ordered was also nice. Music was good and general ambiance was nice. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Rightfully complain and you think you would be treated with a bit more respect...but this does not happen at Foundation Bar!I came here for my birthday at the end of May specifically for their teapot cocktails and was very disappointed with what was served - I still am now! I ordered the High Tea and Bling Brew for me and my friends based on the fact that the menu said they came in teapots with mugs, plus party rings and afternoon treats. So you can imagine my surprise when the teapots were very small (only enough for one drink each!), the cocktails were weak, we had jam jars instead of mugs, there were no party rings and afternoon treats to quote a friend "These are what you get when you give blood!". To elaborate further, the afternoon treats were a plate of crappy biscuits and definitely did not remind me of anything you would get with a traditional afternoon tea.We made a complaint to one of the waiting staff who then discussed this with their superior. The bar man came over and asked us to explain our problems. When we mentioned that what was on the menu was not what we got, he simply said "We did do these things two years ago but we don't now and it costs money to get the menus changed." Surely false advertising/inaccurate information is going to cost them more money in the long run! I certainly won’t be recommending this place to any of my friends or colleagues.The venue and atmosphere did seem pretty good when we went BUT I would avoid this place if you appreciate getting what you've asked for and good customer service - this place sadly delivers neither!!!

Went last night for a drink, couldn't believe it my friend says to me there's a mouse under that chair next to me!!! I turned round and there it was trying to get a chip that was on the floor!!! If you ask me where there is one there is others.... The mouse was clearly used to losts of noise and people I'm guessing they have been there for awhile!!

Came here for a catch up girly dinner with a group of friends and it really wasn't the best place for this purpose. The music was loud, bit dark and noisy which wasn't too ideal for conversation. The food was fine, fairly standard burgers etc. One of the group ordered the ribs which were huge and tasty. This is definitely more of a place for drinks and dancing, rather than dinner and a chat.

Had ipad mini stolen from a bag in the cloakroom which you pay £2 for, when questioned the cloakroom staff he just shrugged & pointed at the disclaimer sign, manager & bouncers were very unhelpful denied everything on the night & then told me to call back, so they could check CCTV, after hours of trying to get through & no one answering & staff fobbing me off saying 'he is in meetings' ...finally spoke to him & he was really unhelpful & rude-& he knew the whole police procedure like the back of his hand, so obviously not new to the situation he was dealing with?! Do not go, & if you really have to, keep your stuff on you & DO NOT use the cloakroom!! :( unfortunately due to the fact that I didn't take my ipad out in full view of the CCTV cameras police couldn't do anything, dread to think just how much the cloakroom staff get away with!

We are a tech company based in Covent Garden. We booked a cocktail masterclass after work on a weekday for just over 30 people. We had two private areas given to us: one for food and one for the cocktail masterclass. Our party was initially together in the private bar area and we enjoyed a cocktail each. We were then separated into two, with one half going to the other private area and one half staying in the bar area. The party in the bar area was given a cocktail masterclass for over an hour with a professional mixologist. The other half were given wine, beer and food platters to enjoy. When the masterclass was over, the groups swapped. At the end, we all met together in the private area.The package itself was all-inclusive so was perfect for us as we did not have to do anything. The organisation of the event was good. The food was delicious, plentiful and catered for vegetarians also. The highlight was the masterclass itself. The bar manager, David, was patient, friendly and fun. The experience of making cocktails was brilliant team building. After making two different cocktails, we were divided up into small teams and had a competition to make our own cocktail and the winning team won a prize. The package was fantastically priced and we got more than we expected to get. The event itself exceeded all expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this bar for other private or corporate events.
