Some reviews say staff are extremely pleasant, professional & kind to all customers, I did not find this today - so much so I won't go there again. I am usualy really keen to support all local businesses. Staff attitudes are really odd.

I attended Fosters after driving past and seeing plants outside. The young gentleman who served me was lovely and really went out of his way to help me. However 2 older women that work here were rude, obnoxious and I was made to feel very uncomfortable. I even tried to make conversation when paying but I was just ignored. Not how you expect to be treated this day in age

Unexpected large offer in such a small town. Very good service too. Tried the potato bread as advised : indeed, excellent (although ve are very demanding on bread quality).

Fosters is fabulous! To have such a resource in what is a small market town is a joy! Stunning fresh veg (including fennel, herbs, all manner of tomatoes (I did not know there were so many!), and other less common veg), beautiful flowers and fabulous catering. As someone else has said, do not go in if you are hungry!!! I always spend 2-3 times what I had planned, and come home fully laden. Have now been to more than one function for which Jason has provided catering, and it is truly superb! Cannot fault

This is a Gem of a place in chapel. Fresh produce and great food on sale. Anything from full English breakfast box to Friday special BBQ boxes. Highly recommended and also sell exquisite flowers here too.

Went for spanish charcuterie products, which used to be stocked but none of that. Staff seemed un-motivated when questions asked. The general impression is far from fresh.

This is the third management team I have known to be at The wheatsheaf , I do have to say that it is an improvement on the last manager , it isn’t a ‘ country pub’ anymore , more like a city wine bar , I mean , it is nice , the decor is a bit too dark and music too loud but the landlord seems a nice enough guy?!. They don’t serve food anymore which is a shame ?! Mind you , I don’t think I’d like to be sat eating my dinner with music thudding away

On 16th Dec 2024, I made the mistake of dining at this place, what a disaster. I was there with some of my family, I ordered fish and chips, when it came, I couldn’t believe it. The fish was slightly larger than a fish finger, there were about 15/16 cold chips, the peas were scattered around the plate. The chap in charge came and apologised, saying they’d run out of fish, and said he would reimburse us for it, that never happened. They’d also put mine on a smaller plate, to make it look like a bigger meal. If that’s the standard, it’s atrocious
