A regular visitor for coffee, lunch or brunch. Cakes also amazing. The real attraction though are the healthy salads. Always changing and always beautiful to look at and eat. Pricey but so worth it. Friendly team too.

Amazing food, service and professional customer interaction. Food quality was sublime, both staff, the vibrant and energetic Jamal and stunning and professional Leah provided amazing service. Cannot fault this restaurant and will be returning soon.

What an amazing little cafe. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and definitely the best coffee and cakes in kingston. It’s also very clean. Definitely worth the visit.

Went with my son for brunch. Staff welcoming. and prompt service. Great full English breakfast. Cooked beautifully and good quality food. Also ordered a fresh orange juice and ginger. Great taste. Large team meant no waiting despite outside and inside tables being very busy. Really recommend.we will be back.

Very delicious food, lots of variety, very good selection of cakes. My favorite is the pistachio and rose cake. Perfect for an afternoon pick me up.

I visited for lunch with my 9 month old baby and the service was fantastic. I was quickly helped to a convenient table with my pram and brought a glass of water whilst I browsed the menu. The salads I tried were delicious and the coffee was one of the best I’ve had. I will definitely be returning again!

Had expectations after seeing all good reviews however very disappointed . I probably had the worse quiche which I ever had, it’s so dry and tasteless like eating rubber , the salad was very average too, again probably ordered the wrong one ? It’s not at all worth the price , and I don’t think I will visit again.

Wonderful breakfast. Good portions with excellent ingredients. The eggs were obviously good quality and PERFECTLY done.

I come here about once a week to treat myself and the food and service is always great, I went in this week for breakfast and asked for a crispy bacon and egg roll and a fresh orange juice. There was no rolls so the lovely lady told me they could make one for me, as they have done before. The cook came half way down the stairs and his face was very angry and asked the lady that the rolls were on the counter, she advised him that there was no bacon and egg, so he walked back up the stairs and was not happy at all. Made me feel awkward and when I got to work to eat my roll, the bacon was not crispy and all was fatty. Such a shame as I liked coming here and it is expensive over £10 for an orange juice and roll but it was my treat. I will not be returning due to the cooks disgusting behaviour and attitude and did not care about the food.

This little sandwich and cake place is just fantastic! We had BLT sandwiches (lovely toasted bread with a delicious flavour, plenty of bacon, big slices of tomato and exactly the right amount t of lettuce and mayo), made fresh to order. It’s very rare for me to get a sandwich that is as nice as it would be if I made it myself at home. They also had a tempting looking vegan sandwich and a chicken one with huge pieces of chicken breast, among others. Also amazing looking cakes; a vegan pistachio one and a baked cheesecake caught my eye. The slice of the cheesecake was enormous and delicious. My terrible coffee-snob friend rates their coffee too! The lady serving us was very friendly too. This place is an absolute find in Kingston.

Consistently great food and service. This is one of the best coffee and lunch places in Kingston. Leagues above most of the other cafes and restaurants in the area who too often peddle mediocre offerings. Looking forward to it reopening soon.

You simply can’t go wrong with Fortunella. Had a scrumptious Signature breakfast with added smoked salmon last week while my husband went for Eggs Benedicte, couldn’t have been a better start of the day. We were tempted by the choice of fresh home-made cakes and went for a slice of carrot&walnut, definitely recommend. The staff are super friendly and it’s always a pleasure to pop in here!

This is a great independent cafe. Staff are very friendly and the food is great. Had breakfast with the family and all said amazing! The full English was very good, as was the Eggs Royale and the smoothies. Top marks to the whole team!

This eaterie serves a wide variety of light meals, cakes and drinks. We both chose the avocado toast, mine with smoked salmon plus coffee. They arrived promptly with a green leaf garnish and the service was friendly and efficient.

Lovely little cafe in Kingston. Had sourdough toast with salmon and burrata. Couldn’t fault it! The service was good and very friendly. Was a great place for lunch while out with my daughter.

Poor service I paid up front for my meal café was empty when I was there. I was leaving after I finish my meal by door staffs asking me to pay for meal again .. I said I paid but they keep saying no until I show my phone to them.what’s going on down there ?? They don’t care about service just open till that’s all job done.

Often have breakfast here and sometimes lunch. Always friendly staff, fresh tasty food, especially healthy salads and not so healthy cakes! Good value. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I won tickets for a lunch for 2 from a local school Christmas fair and decided to use the voucher last Friday. The voucher entitled us to a breakfast item, main course, sandwich or salad mix each and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend opted for the toasted chicken club sandwich and I had the mix of 4 salads. I have an allergy to quinoa which ruled out one of the salads and they were very accommodating, offering me a selection of 2 other salad types instead. The portions are great and we both left there absolutely stuffed! The service was fab and the staff were very welcoming. We will definitely be returning as paying customers and recommend this little gem to anyone passing by the area.

We had lunch in this place for first time and definitely we gonna repeat. Food was absolutely gorgeous. My wife had full vegetarian breakfast and I went for the club sandwich, simply perfect.Outstanding service! Visited for breakfast - absolutely superb. Delicious food, attentive service. The salads are piled high and beautiful; my husband was so taken with them he had mixed salads for breakfast! I had poached eggs on mashed avo. Thinking about going back again tomorrow! Thank you.

Absolutely gorgeous tasty lunch of chicken with two salads, one Greek, one with kale. Can’t stop thinking about it, hence the review! To top it all, the friendliness of the staff makes you feel really welcome. Utterly lush.

Arrived shortly after noon after a lovely walk to a warm welcome. Friendly staff were attentive and I selected my lunch from the well laid out counter. It arrived at my table swiftly. It was a delight and rather quaint to be told I didn't need to settle until "later" despite the busy environment. It's open to abuse, but I suspect the clientele merit the trust. Suffice to say I did! On offer is a well thought out of largely healthy but filling and tasty fare in a busy town centre. Accommodating of groups, couples or solos as every lunch venue should be. Indeed every dinner venue should be! I'll be back soon.

Eat at home!!!! Don’t bother. Worst experience ever experienced at a cafe / restaurant in Kingston. Saw it was recommended very highly on tripadvisor so thought we would give it a go. Worst decision ever - everything came out at different times, forgot half our orders, staff wondered off mid order (twice!). When our food came out cold, we sent it back and they ended up microwaving our scrambled egg leaving it dry and the bread wet.Despite expressing our disappointment and frustration they charged us full price with little apology.

I went fortunella today with my friend for the first time and it was such a great experience. The food was honestly delicious, I ordered eggs benedict and my friend ordered the vegetarian breakfast and not only was it delicious, the portions were very generous! Excellent service from the staff too who were really kind. Definitely recommend this place!

Came here for lunch last week whilst Christmas shopping after being recommended it. Never been down the alley way before. But obviously lots have! The place was packed which is always a good sign. Had an amazing lunch of chicken with 2 different salads that we shared. Staff were so nice and helpful and the food is so fresh and colourful looking. Cater for vegetarians as well. Lots of options. Will definitely be back.

This is a great place for coffee, cake, lunch..visited 3 times last week, great salad and cake selection, tasty coffee, friendly staff, can be very busy during lunch time!

We went for lunch today as my mum loves this place, it was my first visit & I loved it. I had the vegetarian quiche with the 2 salad option & it was delicious. Homemade quiche & great fresh salads.

Have visited many times and bring guests too when they come to stay. Lovely spot for brunch, especially in the sunshine when you can sit outside. The food is good and options varied. It can occasionally get overcrowded when busy.

Excellent. A regular stop off for me. Always busy, there’s a reason for that. It is excellent, ridiculously good. Why aren’t there more cafes like this? Staff are very friendly and efficient, food and coffee excellent.

Visited on Sunday which is my second visit, I fancied some lunch and to treat myself, the staff were lovely and helpful and delivered some of the best customer service I've received.

I stopped in this nice little cafe for a quick coffee and some breakfast, and was not disappointed. Upon walking in I was greeted with a friendly welcome and quickly shown to a table where I was given a food menu to look at while my coffee was made. I was also brought a cold glass of water that had been infused with cucumber/orange/lemon/etc which was a nice touch. I went for the eggs royale which was lovely, two poached eggs on a large piece of sourdough bread with some salad on the side. The food was very nice, the eggs were cooked well, the salmon was nice and the sauce was very rich - surprisingly I struggled to finish it all! The bill came to just under £12, which given the portion size, the food/drink quality and the staff friendliness was quite reasonable, I would go back again!

The staff are really nice and if the weather's nice you can sit outside. The salads are great. The frittata's lack seasoning and are disappointingly bland but the food is wholesome, clean, fresh and nutritious. Great value too. The big bowls of salad are very inviting

So much competition in Kingston for lunch stops! Delighted to have discovered this independent cafe... great healthy choices and super accommodating for vegans.

We ordered salads, quiches and cakes for a family party which were delivered at a specified time for £10 delivery charge. We were very pleased with all the food and our guests commented on the quality of the food. We particularly liked the Lemon and Blueberry cake, the butternut squash salad and the salmon quiche. The salads were huge. We felt the food was excellent quality and good value. Would definitely order from Fortunella again.

On superb day in the saddle in glorious sunshine was punctuated by a lunch stop at the excellent cafe. Staff were so helpful from the moment we arrived. The menu is varied but the highlight of this place is it’s array of freshly prepared salads. You can either select three salads or choose a main (I chose salmon) and a choice of one or two salads. Portions are generous and the flavours are delicious.

We had been told to look up this place and were not disapointed, so friendly, sorted our table and chairs out, explained the menu. lovely fresh salads, big portions. Save room for what looked a great cake selection.

My husband recently discovered this great little cafe whilst he was waiting for me to meet him. He was very complementary about the chicken sandwich he had. So I tried the place for myself yesterday and I too was very impressed. A great selection of excellent looking salads, quiches and cakes. The club sandwich on the sour dough bread was excellent. This is my new go to eatery in Kingston and I am looking forward to working my way through the menu over the next 6 months or so.

If every restaurant in the UK were as good as this nobody would bother to eat at home! I have eaten and had takeaway from here many times and the food and drink as been as wonderful as the friendly welcome from the staff.

Great friendly staff serving delicious homemade cakes, banana and blueberry my favourite. Chocolate brownies are scrummy. Only popped in for coffee however cakes are irresistible.

Met a client here for a meeting, Nice surroundings, good service and excellent coffee. Had a real struggle to contain myself on the food front as it all looked really yummy.

We enjoyed the best Saturday morning breakfast in Fortunella before our day trip to Brighton ❤️...this is by far the best cafe for food and freshly squeezed drinks in Kingston...I’m definitely coming here more often ❤️❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻

Visiting Kingston at lunchtime, I needed a coffee, and checked TA for nearby non-chain cafés. Firtunella was the nearest. We nearly gave up, as it was clearly immensely popular and most tables were occupied in and out.

You cannot go wrong here. Coffee is excellent. Food whether salads or breakfasts is guaranteed to be good quality, well presented and tasty. And the service is warm and friendly. Lovely to sit outside weather permitting.

Half way through our shopping, daughter and I needed a pick-me-up and spotted a table outside this lovely little cafe in Apple Market just out of the way of all the shoppers in the Main Street. We were joined by daughter's' partner who had been doing a bit of shopping himself evident by the amount of bags he was carrying! I had a real problem picking a single cake but plumped for the orange polenta cake which was beautifully moist; daughter had blueberry cake; and boyfriend had banana and blueberry cake - again luscious and moist. A lovely coffee and two pear and apple juices finished our order. We were served very quickly. The choice on the counter inside was amazing with little tiny cakes, healthy salads and some impressive looking sponges. A lovely place to sit in the sun and rest our tired feet. Lovely cakes but if I'd succumbed to another one, I wouldn't have got my shopping done!

I don't visit Kingston very often but when i do this place is a must. I wish I had taken a photograph to share today as the food looked like a table that might be set out for the gods but I was just too bowled over by the array of colours, textures, smells and artistry. It's not all for show either. I had a beautiful breakfast scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, with avocado, rocket and a little balsamic. The coffee is perfect too. Just had to share this. I even went back at tea time and had the orange, pistachio and polenta cake.

have been going in and out on an ad hoc basis over last six years ...its an amazing location ...right in centre of everything ...problem is ...dont seem to be interested in competing ...as too many better offers if one is simply prepared to walk a little out of the centre ...shame really ...coffee has good days and bad days ...cakes vary in quality + portion size ...service is mediocre ...on a good day ..can speak and ask for what you want ...and get it ...on a bad day ...just get what is dished out /.. !

Kingston with a friend today and came across this gem of a cafe. The salad in the window looked amazing so went in without hesitation. We both had superb fresh sandwiches great coffee and shared cake. We shall recommend to our friends. The waitress was lovely as we sat down then went upstairs then back down she didn't stop smiling. Gets very busy deservedly so

Popped in for breakfast as I was too early for Xmas shopping as shops hadn’t even opened. Staff very welcoming & brought a nice glass of fruit infused water while I made my selection. Chose full English which was delicious with perfectly poached eggs. Cafe gradually filled up during my time there & I imagine it’s usually full. Counter looked amazing with delicious variety of salads & cakes. My only regret is that it was too early to eat cake & I was full up from the lovely breakfast anyway. I will definitely be returning

Good strong coffee & nice friendly vibes. My egg, bacon and cheese sandwich with sourdough bread was a delight, and Kingston was really in need of a good place for eggs. Only disappointment was the £1.20 I paid for bacon with my partners scrambled egg turned out to be for just one single rasher. He will definitely get the sandwich next time.

We ate here twice in our stay at Kingston and would defo be going back. The first time we had lunch and second time breakfast inplace of the Premier Inn Breakfast. The food was well prepared and full of flavour. Not a huge menu, but a well thought out menu with a decent choice of dishes. Lovely salads with pasta and wonderful eggs Benedict. A nice pot of tea and some delicious home made cakes.

Stop there for a coffee and cake on a wet Saturday afternoon. First visit and attracted by the bright interiors and cakes on display. We had the salted Caramel and apple cake which was delicious. Unusual combination but it worked. The Americano my wife had seem to be watered down and not much taste. They need to upgrade their beans.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. A great spot for breakfast or lunch in Kingston. Much prefer to the neighbouring La Teraza.

I got the butternut squash, sweet potato and carrot soup as well as the three salad mix for takeaway Saturday (and two small, chocolate brownie bites). The soup took much too long to finally arrive as I waited but it was worth it: a solid cup worth of a slightly spicy, incredibly flavorful and creamy broth. The three-salad mix is also fantastic: I got a blend of the roasted butternut squash, sweet potato and roasted red peppers. Lots of olive oil and rich flavours throughout. My only gripe is the £7.95 price tag I think is a bit steep for the portion size: judging by the food eaten indoors versus takeaway for the same price, you get a lot more with the former. The quiches also look divine.

Stumbled upon this cafe and was pleasantly surprised, great selection of fresh and healthy food. We ordered a main with 2 salads and it hit the spot, was a little pricey for lunch but I guess you get what you pay for! Couldn't resist the yummy cakes so took some home for later - the blueberry and banana loaf is amazing. The guy who I assume was the owner/manager was friendly and made us feel at ease, the waitresses not quite as friendly but still nothing bad, nice that they bring you some infused water as you sit. Would definitely visit again :)

I found this by accident and was amazed by their wonderful salads and cake selection. The coffee and service are also excellent. I rarely find food as good and fresh as this and I shall certainly be back and recommend to all friends and family. Well done to all. Sad it took me four years to find it - it is tiny! (About the flies - they have also been a problem for me this year - climate change and how to cope?)

I often go to Fortunella for their great coffee. I’ve also.been there for breakfast which was delicious however, I would not recommend anyone to have any of the counter food due to the numbers of flies I’ve seen on the uncovered cakes, salads, etc. Laying grease proof paper over the quiches was totally ineffective as I saw a fly burrowing into a quiche! Gross! We decided we couldn’t eat there & left. I won’t even be having coffee from there until they improve their food hygiene.

Visited the cafe twice in one day first for breakfast and then afternoon tea. Perfect coffee and smoothies and delicious cakes in portions big enough to share.

We popped in for a quick lunch and it was lovely . The vegetarian salad selection was delicious and varied and the lasagna was superb. Service was a little sporadic but all in all a good lunch .

I went there for lunch twice. It's more like a vegetarian cafe but there is salmon fish. Pleasant service. I'm not vegetarian but I loved their selection of salads which were very flavoursome. I chose small salad (£6.95) & got to choose 3 selection which I picked quinoa, kale and roasted butternut squash. They were good & filling for lunch. On the second visiti I had salmon quiche + 2 salad (£9.95). Both times I was too full to try selection of cakes. They do look interesting.

If you are vegan or just love salads then this place is one of the best. Roast sweet potato salad is ace.

Fortunella is a perfect place for breakfast. We had the eggs Benedict and a full English Breakfast and it was all very tasty. The bread for the eggs Benedict in particular is nice and soft and not hard like in many other places where it is over-toasted. The waiters are very friendly.

I love this place. Not only is the food fresh and a delight for me as a nutritionist, but the service is excellent and the prices really good. I think they are wonderful

What an absolute pleasure to start your day having the BEST COFFEE in Kingston town. Such a delight having this place in the heart of town ( despite being surrounded by all kind of si called coffeshops and chains of coffee places which are nothing like this place ).Familly and kids friendly with seats out in the sun or in with comfy seats and great breakfast and lots of nice food with healthy salads and veggies. Anybody can be satisfied here no matter of the taste you have . And of course special mention to the owner and his wonderful staff. Lovely ladies always smiling and friendly no matter the hour of the day . Great place where you can relax without feeling rushed by anything or anybody . Amazing job . Great place to be . We ate Brunch as this restaurant, we sat outside as it was a nice day, rather than order from the breakfast menu we ordered the salads/vegetable dishes which were very good.

Just watched was needed, perfect breakfast to start perfect morning. Very tasty and quality. It was three of us, uni friends, to come here based on reviews, which did not let us down

just back from trip in Kingston and this wee gem is a must!! Husband and I didn’t fancy paying hotel prices for breakfast on last day (we like to venture out). Came across this place and was so yummy!! Just annoyed we didn’t find it sooner as I’d have like to have breakfast and lunch!! Next time I visit Kingston this will be our go to. Oh and they give you big mugs off tea

My usual spot for coffee. After few times in the waiter knows what coffee i drink, as usual really nice and smooth creamy flat white. Great place and great service, even when busy!

I always come to Fortunella if I want good coffee and delicious food so brought my friends who were visiting and was so pleased I did! We had a slice of cake each and were impressed with the generous portion size and amazing taste. A lot of places nowadays go for looks over taste with cake but this place has both. The salads are also fab so I’m already planning another visit very soon!

I visited the cafe with three friend just after 12 for lunch. We all had a plate of three salads. There were 8-9 different type of salad to choose from. Roasted vegetables, couscous, coleslaw, broccoli and beans etc. We were full after just eating salads!

I'd wanted to try Fortunella due to the good reviews. It was very busy on Friday lunchtime and the salads looked very nice. We both chose the vegetarian lasagne but unfortunately it was lukewarm at best. I had my one re-heated but my friend didn't want it to be microwaved, so ate it although I know she didn't enjoy it. The lasagne was kept on a hotplate which clearly isn't up to the job, unless it was served and it sat on the side for a bit but unsure. So all in all, I was disappointed and wished we had gone elsewhere.
