Pleasant staff good food first time here will use them again

The only place me and my family go to order Chinese! Have never been disappointed by the food or the service :)

Worst service from the man/boy who took the takeaway order, so rude and could not be bothered chasing the driver, was delivered after 1 and a half hours, we only live up the. Rung up and he kept talking to someone else.

I can't believe the service. Ordered a takeaway and the guy on the phone was ridiculously rude. Had no idea where the food was. Took 1 hour and 20 minutes, and our house is a 3 minute drive away!!! 1 star isn't even justified.

We have ordered takeaway from Fortune Inn more times than I can remember, it's reliably tasty, affordable, delivered faster than they say and are always very polite to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone!

Nice food. My fave dish is the salt pepper chilli chips if you haven’t tried it.. TRY IT! 😋

this food took 2 hours to arrive and was grossly undercooked , the children had eaten most of the chicken before i realised it was still pink inside and the crispy duck was soggy . the takeaway wanted me to take it back to them ( friday night and in my pjs the reason why i got a delivery) praying we dont get food poisoning in the morning , after a lenghthy denial on the phone they hung up!

Large portion of chips is enough for 4!!!

My partner drove to Fortune Inn and ordered he sat down and started playing a game on his phone he only got to do 2 levels of it and the food was ready was brilliant service,when he got home we opened up everything and it was piping hot unlike the other Chinese takeaway we had been to in southwick which we were going to go to but was closed for 3 weeks! Anyway as I said the food was piping hot and it was absolutely delicious we will be going back to Fortunne Inn again amazing service and food. Rainbow house has lost a customer good job they were closed as we would not of discoverd how good fortune Inn was

I've always throughly enjoyed the meals I get from here, they're not the 'tastiest' but they're not greasy & the food is always cooked very quickly, kitchen is spotless & very friendly staff!

Usual Chinese was closed due to it being a Tuesday, took a punt on this place. Worst decision we've ever made! Had 4 different meals, none tasted as they should, egg fried rice was brown rice!? Chicken balls tasted like rubber, the majority of the food went in the bin, the dogs weren't even interested in the chicken balls... Absolute waste of money 😒

I've ordered the last two times and had food poisoning first time me and last night my girlfriend.. Its the definitely the squid it needs too be cooked for longer hence why I ask for it too be crispy but when turns up it never is.. I wont be using this takeaway service again

What I ordered was at least edible, however chicken over cooked and asked for egg fried rice and just got brown rice.. Food didn't taste nice as expected but as a one off it's ok.. Next time I'll be patient and wait till Wednesday to get the Chinese from the usual outlet

Good food - I'm chinese and i grew up in a takeaway so I'm not easy to please. Some of the dishes don't list a tofu version but they can make it if you ask.

Pretty standard menu, good portions, reasonably priced, usually quick to cook, normally ready within 10 minutes. Food is really tasty, it's our go to takeaway, quick, convenient and fairly frugal!

Always very happy with the food we recieve. Every meal we've had has tasted fresh and delicious. The Staff are friendly and our orders always arrive within the time specified. We are very happy customers!

Great food always, good idea to phone and order food first to save the wait at the shop.

We ordered our first take away from Fortune inn last night. It was ready very quickly however my meal was not fresh and tasted re heated.. My mum and dads was wet and soggy and tasted spongy and made her sick most of last night. Unfortunately I have to say I would never use this restaurant again..

This used to be our favourite Chinese restaurant and now it's just gone right down hill you don't get good food for what you pay for unfortunately

Overall very tasty food with decent sized portions. The menu is huge with lots of variety. The set meals for 2/4 are especially good and not bad value either. Avoid the Cod and chips as these can be a bit hit and miss (mostly miss), but the onion rings are a must - the best I have tasted. The lady with whom I speak when ordering is somewhat abrupt and impatient, ironic considering I don't remember the last time she didn't ask me to hold whilst serving another customer - perhaps wait until you are free before answering the phone? Delivery times however are excellent, even on the busiest of nights, and the food arrives nice and hot. The driver is always very friendly and courteous and appreciative of any tips. A new leaflet once in a while wouldn't go a miss but on the whole very satisfied.

Nice food, but... be warned that the prices shown on the menu on their website are 11 years out of date!!!. Only discovered this after going to collect an order which came to about £8.00 more than we'd calculated. The woman running the business fully admitted that she was aware of this but did not know how to update the website!!! Unbelievable!

Never given such a poor review but felt I needed to share this information with people potentially looking to order from here. The two stars are for a very quick delivery (15mins) which makes me think they don’t make these dishes fresh. Lovely friendly delivery driver but less could be said for the woman on the end of the phone taking the order. She was very rude when we had to ring up and tell them that an item of our order was missing. She said we hadn’t ordered it in the first place, but when we added together what we ordered we had been charged for it, her response was that the prices on their online menu were from years ago. Surely this is false information and should be reported to trading standards. After being rude and no willingness to help correct their mistake my other half had to hang up the phone. Needless to say we will not ever be returning and neither will we recommend to anyone!

Best Chinese takeaway I had in a long time I just have plain noodle with curry sauce but every other place gives me bean shoots which I dislike this place gets orders right 100% and they are very cheap compared to others

Terrible service. Very rude on the phone every time we have ordered tutting and telling us to wait then blaming us for taking to long. This time as it's not the first we have been told to prepare an order or not call at all. This was a spare the moment thing with friends so we just read the menu as we ordered. They have been rude on the phone every time we have ordered and this is the last straw there is no need to tut and huff so obviously to us over the phone because they can't sort there business out! They have lost very loyal customers from being so rude! Will not order again and will not suggest to anyone.

Don't like to give bad reviews, but I've not been here in a while, the pork balls I ordered were very tough (had to cut them with a knife) and the food was greecy, normally very good, maybe just a bad day?

Food is excellent and quick. Chilli dishes are reasonably hot.

The worst fish and chips my husband and I have ever purchased from a take-a-way. The portion of cod (if you can call it that) was very small, very thin and mushy with a slightly bad smell - which was 'super' coated in the thickest and largest amount of batter I have ever seen: to make it look like a big portion. Absolutely disgusting. We will never go there again.
