Fortescues Of Windsor in Windsor and Maidenhead

We were visiting Windsor Castle with a bus tour and had limited time for lunch prior to leaving. We decided to eat here and ordered a Banana Nutella Crepe, which was very good.

Brilliant little ice cream parlour tucked down a side street but Windsor Castle. The Girls serving at the time were so helpful. I have a nut allergy and they were so accommodating when I explained if they could watch the scoop and use a fresh bit so there was no cross contamination. I have asked exactly the same thing in other shops and got the opposite response. They were so happy and friendly and it was only an accident that we came across them. The Ice creams weren't cheap but there isn't a price on amazing ice cream with beautiful scenery. It seems a lot of the reviews her are very mixed but the service we received was first class! We only had one scoop each but that was plenty (about £2.50 or £3.50) I can't remember. A true hidden gem and worth a visit!!!!! Thanks so much.

A fantstic ice cream shop...Great choice, excellent value, all the girls were lovely and knew their jobs inside out...They could certainly work for me...We wouldn't hesitate, or return 😀

I'm local so I've been here very often and always II was fully recommended your place, but I think is not worth anymore. The scoops every time when I am in are smaller and smaller.. today I get not even half of the scoop, what a shame!

The best and cheapest coffee in Windsor in a historic back street setting. Too chilly for the ice cream I’m afraid…!

Very expensive £15.80 for two cups take away coffee and o E scoop ice cream. Absolutely ripped off went into town as a resident of windsor to pay respects to our queen. Food was being handled with bare hands cash being touched then touching food no hand washing would definitely avoid at all costs

Very nice good quality ice cream and accommodating of allergies although that did mean I had a cup rather than a cone as they wanted to be careful. Still very good though

Tucked away opposite the exit of Windsor Castle is Church Street, where you will find an interesting mix of tourist shops, pubs and restaurants and this glorious ice cream house. Fortescues offers quite the most amazing mix of ice creams - try their jammy dodger! Seating outside for clement weather, lovely friendly service and a wide range of flavours and different cones, along with coffees and treats for the ice-cream shy. Definitely on our list for every time we’re in the area!

Great ice cream and scone with cream and jam. Had an Affogato with two shots of Kimbo Espresso which was delicious. Cosy place on the cobbled streets directly opposite the side entrance of the castle. Next to a pub too which could be a good thing...

Went here for a Friday treat after my son got out of school. Ice cream was amazing and we were spoiled for choice! Staff was also really friendly and overall it was a great experience. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

My kids loved the ice creme, didnt hear a peep out of them once they tucked in. The kids loved it so much so they wanted to go back the next day. Very friendly,extremely clean and beautifully set out. This is now our new goto place when we are in Windsor.

Popped in for a coffee and milkshakes on a chilly day, will be back for ice cream when it warms up. Lovely people, amazing choice of icecream and a great setting.

Great decor and friendly staff......This place is a delight, really good coffee & Italian gelato ,so many different flavours it was hard to choose, I opted for chocolate fudge brownie and biscoff topped with whipped cream and nuts wow !! .... Will definitely be back again .
