Amazing sunday lunches HUGE portions lovely landlady and friendly locals really community pub and dog friendly too

Nice vibrant pub, looked quiet out front. The bar area had 3 pool tables, big t.v & modern gaming machines. Has a restaurant area away from the bar. Just popped in for a drink on the way home. we will return.

Interesting and nice pub variation. Much needed coffee shop in this area.

Only went in for a quick coffee. It isn't The Ritz, but seems like a nice community pub, staff are friendly, coffee is nice and prices are reasonable.

went here the other week, was greeted by a lovely girl, a blonde girl who i think name was summer, was lovely and very friendly, great service and made me feel very welcome, very good pool tables

Me and a couple of mates popped in for a pint and the pub was a mess and I was disappointed in what I saw. The pub was very friendly but only to the locals that go there regularly i felt as if i was unwelcome so we left!

the pub was a mess and the staff were vaping in the restaurant area and playing inappropriate music whilst me and my family were sat, the pub was more life a family’s living room than a public area

Terrible food, terrible service and very rude staff. Avoid!! Has gone downhill since I was last here.

The worst experience. There were underaged people serving alcoholic drinks behind the bar, the food was awful, the music being played was not suitable at all and to top it off they were all vaping inside. I am disgusted.

There is now a cafe in this pub Tuesday - Friday mid morning to mid afternoon. I think this may be an independent venture separate from the pub. It is very near where we live and a friend told us she'd been in 4 times and said it was very good. We both had the all day breakfast. There was quite a long wait but when it arrived it was worth it. 2 sausage, 2 bacon, hash brown, beans, mushrooms, fried egg and thick toast. All for £6.50 and cooked perfectly. We also had very good coffee. They had various yummy looking cakes on the counter but I had no room left so will definitely be going back to try some.

Been for Sunday lunch. Absolutely excellent. Meal was really good and loads of veg. Gravy fantastic! Staff so good & attentive. If you haven't been...GO

During the week staff very friendly/heipful and food very good. Decided to try Sunday lunch for a change. Roast beef a bit dry /watery gravy---but worse of all a very stroppy waitress who seemed to be in charge and got argumentive when i asked for peas instead of other veg. I didnt get peas , she didnt get a tip for being so rude either.

We were in the area for a party and a few of us met up here to watch the football. It is a very large pub with 3 pool tables and BT Sport. We were welcomed by the lovely Maya (hope I spelt it right) who was friendly and funny and very efficient. It is a real locals pub but we were made to feel very welcome. There was a good selection of drinks and the whole place was clean and well presented. I particularly liked the toilets which were immaculately clean and even had a box of essential toiletries and sanitary products which I thought was a lovely touch. They do live music and a quiz I believe. I don’t know when we will be back in the area but if we ever are would definitely come back here. Be warned though there is a swear jar for anyone who uses the C word so prepare to pay if you have a potty mouth 😂😂.

Cheap beer and a few pool tables but it is a bit chez locals.

First impressions are that it's a little dated. It's a reasonable local pub with plenty of screens to view the latest sport. A few pool tables. The usual restaurant one side, bar the other. Food and drink exceeded expectations, well priced, pleasantly clean. Staff were really nice.

Lovely friendly pub. Landlord is really friendly and helpful. Loads of room to eat or just relax and watch sport or enjoy the weather outside. Food was stunning. Would definitely recommend this pub.

First pub I've been to with Ask for Angela posters everywhere, it's amazing! Went for a couple pints with my fiancé just now, the barmaid was so smiley and friendly, and it was so cosy too :) we'll definitely be back!

Spent a weekend away in Melksham and came here for sunday lunch. The roast was not the best I have tasted. Gravy looked promisingly thick and tasty but was flavourless and watery, which was such a shame because a decent gravy would have masked the awful tasteless roasties and the overcooked beef. The decor made me feel like i was in a cafe and it felt too much like school dinners. Staff friendly enough which was a saving grace. Lots of people around us saying how wonderful the food was. I think it may be a regional thing because where we come from this roast would be classed as disappointing. Credit to the owners for trying a carvery and it obviously works as was fully booked just not our cup of tea,

Lovely carvery on a Sunday, 28 booked in and everything served hot with no fuss. Meat is amazing! Great staff 😊

Great local, pool tables, ales, good venue for the youngsters

Went here for the roast... had not booked but staff sill let us have a table. Choice of three meats... I tried all and all were good plus there was lots on the plate. All the veg was well cooked and tasty too. Staff were very friendly and welcoming Cost was £8.95 which I thought was good value ... will definitely go back again.

Great pub. A little rough around the edges but friendly and welcoming. Food is cheap. Outside seating areas to both the front and rear. Lots of parking.

The barmaid that served us was lovely and very welcoming - can't say the same about the mid-afternoon clientele or the general ambience, on our first visit. We now use this place regularly and have always been made to feel very welcome, by the Landlady, Landlord, all of the staff and most of the early evening regulars.

Nice pub, fairly quiet in the afternoon and evening, decent pool table and good area for functions, t.v. for sports. Good range of drinks and bar snaxks at a reasonable price. Shame the food side is dying out but nice other than that.

Good selection of roast on Sunday . Are at 2.30 food still hot and NOT dried out like a lot of places when you eat late. Certainly good value for money. New landlord and chef bound to improve further as business gets known better. Certainly worth a visit, I will be going again
