What an amazing little pub! I came here before it changed hands and it was horrible to say the least but now since new ownership it has changed so much! Great choice of drinks and really good ales aswell always kept so well. Will definitely be my new place to go with events on most weekends aswell what more could you ask for!

Relaxing atmosphere with nice decor. We have recently moved just around the corner so this is now our nearest local. Looking at previous reviews it would seem that they used to do food and we were disappointed to find out this is no longer the case as there are not enough dine in pubs in the area. As such we rarely find a reason to visit. If food were to be served then we'd visit weekly.

I have known this pub for over 40 years. Last time I went there it was grotty and uninteresting. A change of hands and a good deal of investment has really improved it. Friendly and helpful staff, a lovely garden and a nice range of drinks. Parking might be a little hard but it is on various bus routes, not a bad idea if you are going to have a drink. Not sure with the current climate what food is served but I understand it is varied. Well worth going to.

A great little local back street pub, with friendly customers and staff. Does real ale but doesn't make a fuss about it. No pretensions to be something it isn't (no food beyond crisps and nuts) but really good at what it does, with a comfortable laid-back feel.

Based in the backstreets of Reading, the foresters arms is an inviting family friendly pub with a great atmosphere. The locals, owners and bar staff make you feel welcome and the beer is well priced. You can't ask for more from this traditional little pub

Pubs come in all shapes and sizes but you won't find an example of a great back street two bar pub very often. The staff are welcoming and they serve both excellent quality real ale, real cider and an impressive selection of snacks. The beer garden is a real suntrap and lovely for an after work pint or a relaxing weekend afternoon. Drinks prices very reasonable and there is even free WiFi. Recommended!

Great little back street pub, ran by a pleasant young couple with a family so it is very family orientated with a very welcoming atmosphere. The ale was excellent, The children have a little play area in the garden as well. All round a great little pub. Top marks.

This used to be a pleasant old-fashioned community pub which served nice home-cooked food. In fact there is a notice outside saying they still do so but it's a lie. We visited one evening and found the back room empty with a couple of rather sad looking customers drinking lager in the front room. I asked the surly barmaid to confirm if they were serving food and she said "no" so we went off and ate elsewhere. There are plenty of pubs in Reading serving decent food! It's a pity to see this pub being run down and I don't know the reason but I won't be going back.
