Fish batter, soggy chips not wam.Several chips too hard to use a fork on.Cost £11,00. Far better quality and value elsewhere. Avoid.

The food was amazing , there was 200+ people and all our needs were catered for and more . The owner went the extra mile and gave quests lifts home as they couldn’t get a taxi 💯 recommend this to anyone

Called in this lunchtime for cod and chips and battered sausage and chips. Both meals were top notch quite surpassing expectations. Will definitely visit again.

Really keen to try the new fish & chip shop in the old Mama tree location. Very disappointed, the 3 pieces of fish (cod) were all identical in shape, flat and I query whether they were fresh fish dipped in batter where you would get bubbly batter or frozen pre-battered pieces. They were at least hot the chips and mushy peas/curry were luke warm. The worst of all were the chips, commonly known as ‘warm ups’, not fresh at all, hard, wrinkled and inedible. Very poor, won’t be returning.

Opened this week after a serious rebuild on the previous site that use to be Mama Tree Chinese. Opening menu was selected but understandable, I choose cod & chips and pie and chips both served in a very hygienic box which kept the food warm. Food was delicious and nothing was left for the dog. Glad that this is now part of the village look forward to my next visit. Staff were superb wish them well in their new venture.

Visited Café X mid-morning on 09/09/2020. Café have a good Covid-19 protection system in place whereby you order at the main entrance window, & your food is handed out another window. The lady who served us was also friendly and helpful. I order the SMALL breakfast, that as you can see on the menu is £7.00. Plastic cutlery. Coffee is disappointing Instant Coffee, although it is advertised as Instant. The toast had no flavour whatsoever and tasted like cheap nasty budget wholemeal bread. It really was rank. Possibly reheated. Not enough butter either. The egg wasn't runny, it looked like it had been flipped over or possibly even reheated, it was fairly tough. The bacon was unsmoked and although it was nice and thick, it was fairly fatty and tasted cheap quality / greasy. The hash brown and black pudding, yeah OK I guess, but I have had way better. Now, I could forgive all this if the price reflected the quality of the product. But it doesn't. Much too expensive for poor quality food. If this has cost me £4.00 I probably wouldn't quibble as the cost and quality would match somewhat. We won't be eating here again, we had slightly dicky stomachs afterwards too. It is a shame, as if you bought better quality produce, got a far better chef, kept the prices the same and made the presentation better, you would have a roaring repeat customer base given you are situated on the A47. But im sorry, as you are, it's far too disappointing.

This is the best Greggs ever! The one in March is the Greggs to go to. 🙂🙂 the staff are so friendly here! The tables are always spotless! They are always cleaned as soon as someone has finished at their table. We travel up from Peterborough and I'm Autistic and will only eat the kids cheese sandwiches and they are always available in this Greggs. I can only eat the soft food because I have poorly teeth. I also love the Tottenham Cake because it's soft food. Also the icing is delicious! The Peterborough Greggs does not have it. Which is one of the many reasons we travel up to March. Thank you to all the staff at Greggs in March! Wonderful and Polite every time we come in! 🙂🙂 Kind Regards. Ashley 🙂

We were told good things about Cassano's unfortunately they didn't live up to expectation. £17 each for an over cooked Sunday roast and frozen veg isn't acceptable! You are offered 3 meats which were cooked OK as was the gravy the rest was rubbish, I can honestly say it was the worse cauliflower cheese I've ever had, army food is better and that's saying something! The place was packed all I can assume is that the people of March have really low taste. The owner is taking the Mick out of his customers and must be laughing all the way to the bank! At that price we were expecting it to be a bit up market but it was akin to a works canteen! We won't be back, I'd rather go hungry! There must be better in the area.
