Fordingbridge Farm Shop and Cafe in New Forest

Lovely spot, great food and nice staff. I will look forward to revisiting in the near future. Nice day trip with family and friends

We initially popped in here just to look around the farm shop then smelled the Sunday roasts being served and ended up staying for lunch. The roast chicken was amazing and our plates were fully loaded. They have a nice outside courtyard garden to sit in as well. We believe this was their first go at doing Sunday roasts - yet it was one of the best we’d had. Hope they decide to continue with it and that folks support them.

Excellent staff, food, shop and service. We use the shop often and also the cafe. The kids play area is perfect for us as we have a little one. Allows us to have some food and drink whilst our little one is occupied. Well worth a visit

The service & Cinnabon & blueberry muffin were fab. The staff were very friendly and not pushy when we were browsing the good quality plant’s. Very happy to visit again.

Dropped in for quick business meeting catch up, no warm welcome in cafe, no communication at all except to tell me the price didn't even comment when bringing to the table No ambience, I thought for what we had was overpriced and uninviting .The person I was with is a hotelier in Bournemouth and was checking places out for visiting tourists in the New Forest, hospitality is a hard market to be in now and I think starting with staff training would make such a difference on getting repeat custom

Excellent homemade pies and quiches you really can’t fault them. Give them a try you will not be disappointed. Beautiful pastry full of good quality fillings and reasonably priced.

Good effort but…… visited at lunch time busy but not rammed ! Believe this is a fairly new venture so hope some constructive criticism isn’t taken the wrong way. Coffee, americano weak and insipid, lacked flavour because it was too weak. Lunch, chef can’t make omelet’s! Plates too big to much salad, I know salad is cheap and looks good but not with an omelet. Panini the same, plate to big far to much salad. Less is more ! All our personal opinions I know but you aren’t going to make a profit or win repeat customers. Several areas of the cafe and farm shop looked untidy, empty boxes stacked outside by the main entrance, toilet not very clean or inviting, more crates/boxes in the courtyard, just has an air of lackadaisical management!! Having spent a lifetime in catering and training catering staff I can see things other maybe don’t.

Situated in the beautiful market town of Fordingbridge, the farm shop offers a wide range of local and artisanal products, as well as an in-house deli, butchers & bakery. The courtyard cafe and bar offers lovely breakfasts and light meals and a fantastic selection of expertly sourced wines, as well as local and international beers, ales and spirits. The cafe also has a children's play area & an EV charge point

Me and my husband decided we would go and do a bit of shopping and have a meal. At the entrance there was a sign advertising hot dogs and burgers. There was nothing on the menu of of any interest. Panins and sandwiches but no mention of hot dogs. We asked if they had any got dogs and they said we don't do them at the moment. Really disappointing with the cafe. The items in the shop were a little expensive but the quality was really good. I would go back only if they make the cafe menu more interesting.

Location fine. Unorganised ordering at a hatch & then taking over 45 mins to produce a few rounds of sandwiches. Staff inexperienced and unenthusiastic. Menu simple and uninspiring. When the food arrived, it was fair at best. Had hoped the cafe would have upped their game when it was re-opened. Sadly not.

Two staff hadn’t turned up but instead of closing they tried to cope and failed. Stopped doing hot food as we placed our order so just had a drink. Cold coffee so sent it back and got given one even colder. Staff couldn’t cope

As a Fordingbridge resident and keen to patronise local enterprise I have visited twice now - once on the family fun day/opening event and again last weekend. Whilst the venue is lovely, and farm shop well stocked, on the 1st visit it was clear that the staff in the bar/coffee/food area were struggling - long queues, wrong orders and very little organisation. Felt really sorry for them but I put it down to teething troubles with under anticipation of volume of guests (it was a sunny afternoon and was very busy). A 2nd visit last weekend saw no improvement to service. Young inexperienced staff, no clear procedure for ordering or serving - 30 min wait for 2 coffees with young assistant/s walking aimlessly around to find the relevant guest/s once orders were ready. A great addition to the community - the breakfasts looked delicious and the young staff are lovely. Will definitely visit again but please, please, invest in staff training - get a process in place to relieve the pressure on your lovely team.

Owners (Gerry & Laurence) and their team (Meghan, Vanda, Liam) made the big family dinner at their outdoor terrace the night before our wedding so special and incredibly tasty! We had a delicious porchetta with lovely fresh salads, followed by locally made gelato. Our 40 guests had a brilliant night, thanks to the fabulous food and direct access to the Farmshop’s onsite bar! Thank you to the whole team for creating a night we’ll certainly remember with lovely memories, the night before our wedding.
